Duggars Sing the Benediction

The Duggars recently visited First Baptist Bentonville, the church where Jessa and Ben had their marriage ceremony. In the following video, the family sings the benediction to the tune of "Edelweiss."

  4. Hi Lily and Ellie!
What a beautiful little song! I was wondering if it would be too much trouble or if you could post the lyrics to the song here on blog? I'd love to learn it to be able to sing it too:)

  7. Have the Duggars ever explained why they don't go to a traditional church but do their own home church? I've read several of their books, and I can't recall ever reading about that. Is it because they don't believe the same as any denomination that has a local church?

  12. Such a beautiful song. Your family sounds angelic. It makes me cry, though. This was sung at my best friend's funeral 20 years ago, certainly not as uplifting as your can. I think if I heard these voices all those years ago some of my pain would have been erased.

  13. Is baby Israel not included in the blog header family photos because he's a Dillard? He's just as much of a grandchild as Josh's children, isn't he?

  14. I wish TLC would remember there are other people in the family other than Jill. I would like to see more of the younger kids as well what is going on with the other ones who still live at home. Also, we already know the sex of Josh and Anna's baby....so why make a whole episode out of it? This is the down side of the show becoming popular and the Duggar family being in People mag.....

  17. Hi Readers,

Here are the lyrics to the song, for those of you who asked:

    May the Lord, Mighty God
    Bless and keep you forever
    Grant you peace, perfect peace
    courage in every endeavor

Lift your eyes and see His face,
    and His grace forever
    May the Lord, Mighty God
    bless and keep you forever

    Blessings,
    Lily and Ellie

  20. @Anonymous The show is several months behind.... The episode about Anna's baby was filmed when they first announced it. And they talk about Jill because she just got married and had a child, and obviously people will want to know about it. It's not like they never talk about anyone else.

  24. It's a beautiful benediction. Does anyone know what denomination the Duggars consider themselves, if any? I know they got married in a Baptist church, and the church they attend when in Little Rock is Nazarene.
