Lemonappleade: No Added Sugar

Have you tried the Duggars' lemonappleade?

Lemonappleade

Ingredients:
10-12 golden delicious apples-cored & cut into large pieces
2 small lemons-unpeeled & quartered

Directions:
Put lemons through the juicer first, then apples (helps prevents lemonade from browning). The more yellow the apples, the prettier the lemonade. Best if served over ice.
Enjoy! Serves 6

  2. I don't think this is cost effective for me. I would use bottled applejuice abd canned lemonade. Apples are expensive.

    Hi Anonymous,

    The Duggars' tater tot casserole recipe serves about 16 but can easily be cut in half. Here is the link to the recipe: http://duggarsblog.blogspot.com/2010/03/tater-tot-casserole.html.

  5. Hints;
    1) Don't bother coring the apples. They go through the juicer just fine.
    2) Buy apples direct from farmers. A few bruises mean an apple can't be sold in a supermarket but they still make great fruit for juice and they are much cheaper.
    3) Pink lady apples are much better for juicing than Delicious.

  7. We have always made tator tot hotdish growing up. We had a slightly alternate version.
    Ground Beef- pressed in the bottom of the 9x13 pan. No need to cook it first it bakes in the oven. 2 cans Cream of mushroom mixed with a bag of frozen or can french style green beans. spread this over the beef and put the tator tots on top. Bake same as in the recipe presented. - can substitute corn or also have corn with the beans per preference.

  8. I have a question for those who are juicers- we are going to get a very good juicer and start juicing. Soo I think it is strange to juice the lemon peel and all. Also to juice the core of an apple and the seeds??? Is it really good to eat those- I normally would not eat that just throw it out so why would you juice it? What about orange peels than???
    Thanks for any advice :-)
