  1. Spring? That means the news will be at least 6 months behind their real lives. Ancient history.

    1. So? We'll be getting to see Joy and Kendra's pregnancy, maybe Samuel and Mason's births -then again maybe not we'll see- Hopefully LOTS of Jinger and Jeremy. Maybe the girls will talk a little about their new outfits. I think it'll be cool.

    2. So, you don't have to watch... Gosh... we all have a choice. Freedom to choose.

    3. Don't be so mean!!!

      Delete
    4. So pretty much any reality TV show that has aired in the past 15 years

    5. I have trouble understanding the obsession with watching the Duggar births. I do not think TLC OWES it to fans to air the births. Maybe Jill did not want the world to watch Samuel's birth. To me childbirth is a private thing. I like hearing about it after the baby is here.

    6. Can't wait! Your programs make me feel happy and want to be a better person ☺️

    7. So don't watch. You have a choice. Myself, I enjoy watching something wholesome on tv.

    8. Or just watch another show

    10. So excited to have the show come back, can't wait for new babies to be born and see new relationships possibly.

  2. Yay I'm so excited!!!!

  3. I guess TLC was undecided as to whether to bring back the show since it won't return til spring. We don't have cable so YouTube will have episodes available to watch I hope.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Yayayay!!!! Thank you Duggar family for being willing to share your journey!

    1. They're getting paid well to "share their journey". I would respect them and their show a lot more if it was the Gospel they were sharing.

    2. 9:38am .. A perfect way to say it! I'm so excited also ♡♡

      Delete
    3. Early on, their Christian beliefs were more a part of the program. That's no longer a focus. They are celebrities being followed around so no interest in their Christian beliefs like before. Sad they are in agreement with it.

  5. Yay!! I like watching the duggars!!

  6. finally!!! I was getting nervous they weren't going to renew the show! I'm ecstatic!!!!!!!!!!

    1. It's exactly what we'll be watching!!๐Ÿ˜’๐Ÿ˜’

      Delete
    2. Amen to that one. I just check this FB page for updated news instead of watching old news that is so far behind what is already known.

      Delete
    3. Maybe not....perhaps TLC got the message and is delaying the new season to bring us something new ๐Ÿ˜€

      Delete
    4. Whenever there's a Duggar wedding, TLC should just have an hour long special to cover picking the dress, the cake, the venue, etc., and then have the wedding episode. That way the rest of the season can be normal stuff, not just tons of wedding details.

      Delete
    5. It's the engagements, weddings, and babies that sell this show. Without them, they'd have nothing to air.

      Delete
  9. Thank God! God bless them for blessing us with a clean and wholesome family tv show that teaches Christian values.

  10. Great news! :D can't wait! :)

    1. YES. Again, you don't have to watch. Just like a choose to not watch shows that push NO MORALS, Beliefs that I don't agree with. I just turn the TV.

      Delete
    2. Bah humbug! The only negative so far out of 52 comments! Why are you here if you don't like them? I along with the other 51 positive comments am thrilled! Can't wait!

      Delete
    3. They really need to go and live their lives privately. Why subject themselves and their young children to so much public scrutiny and hatred?

      Delete
    4. I guess that rules out watching the news, 2:51. :(

      Delete
    5. 2:51- Anon 2:51- Yet the Duggars' show is being sponsored by some very proocative advertising that they'd never allow in their own home. That's not being moral- it's what I call a huge double standard.

      Delete
  12. Yay!!! Praise the Lord!!!๐Ÿค—

  13. Wonderful news! Can't wait.. Love the show..

    ReplyDelete
  14. Hopefully we won’t see reruns of everything they have shown so far ..if you’re going to do new seasons do new shows and just show small clips of reruns .

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Not only reruns. There are also the annoying previews of what you'll see after 5 minutes of commercials. They fill an hour with about 20 minutes of original footage, between reruns, previews, and commercials. Commercials for programs the Duggars wouldn't let their children watch!

      Delete
    2. AMEN to those horrible commercials. I can't believe the Duggars want to be involved with a station that shows those during their show! It makes the Duggars look like they're only in it for the money. They don't care about content.

      Delete
    3. Yes ,,,I can't stand that they are still on TLC......
Do they think it still stands for - The Learning Channel ??
Maybe if they don't watch tv, they don't realize all the terrible
      programs on TLC..
What would their children learn from those shows ‼️ ๐Ÿ˜ณ
      Sometimes it's sickening..
And I don't really look at it as "letting their light shine."...

      Delete
    4. I don't care what they show I love the Duggars and am glad they are back hope the whole family is

    1. Jill's birth won't be aired.

      Delete
    2. Probably not, but it could be. I wonder if something personal that the Dillard's didn't wish to share with the world happened during Jill's birth and Derrick made the comments about Jaz on purpose so he'd be fired and the episodes wouldn't be aired.

      Delete
    3. I agree something happened with that birth Jill and Derick and/or JimBob did not want the world to see. Unfortunately, Derick's comments have ended that paycheck. Hope he has a plan B to support his family!

      Delete
    4. It might be that she got so much critism about last birth dragging out to danagerous birth that she had a c section against what she wanted as a home birtherand pass birth helper for others as mid wife. This one might been more dangerous for her and sam that even i woukdnt want to share the decision to do home birth and not hoslital as she did have to do. Jana even changed her opinion on home births maybe due to jills incorrect decison to first have 2nd birth at home. Some ladies can have home some just cant. So it is ok with me if we dont see it as it might embarrass jill and i wouldnt want to do that. She just tried to do so like her mother but michelle was blessed but in end had onky hospital births.

      Delete
    5. 2:20 where did you read that about Jana?

      Delete
    6. They don 't like is to see the birth. It has been dangerous.

  32. I hope the next big announcement is another courtship hoping It could be Jana or JohnDavid or Josiah

    ReplyDelete

    1. There are rumors of Jana in a courtship!!! I hope they are true! I garuntee the ratings would go through the roof if Jana ever started a journey toward courtship, marriage and motherhood!!

      Delete
    2. I'm praying that there is finally some "truth" to the rumors.

      Delete
    3. Anytime there are "rumors" that one of the Duggars is in a courtship, it always turns out to be just that, a rumor.

      Delete
    4. No, it doesn't always turn out to be a rumor. Some here have gotten the scoop on courtships long before they were made public. Jinger & Jeremy...Joe & Kendra... The Duggars have a habit of inviting young people to the house for family occasions, before there's an official announcement. Caleb was there for Jordyn's birthday the other day...

      Delete
    5. I hope that the next big news is one of them moves out and lives on their own. Now that would be Must See TV!

      Delete
    6. Maybe Caleb and Lauren are dating

      Delete
    7. Jana is not rush into motherhood soon. She wil de the same as Jinger.

    8. I hope sbe doesn’t rush into motherhood since shes not married. Boy, would that be a scandal!

  36. I am very excited! I look forward to seeing the new babies and new courtships!!!

    ReplyDelete
  37. My biggest concerns is that these "new episodes" will be so far behind real time that there will be nothing really new to watch. I'm wondering why TLC delayed releasing a new season until 2018?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Because everything is filmed and then edited. That's how all reality shows work. It's always been the same since 19 Kids...

      Delete
    2. Probably because they lacked material.

      Delete
    3. Well, you could choose to not follow them on other media, and then whatever is shown on the new episodes would be 'new-to-you'!

      Delete
    4. If you want to think about "new Episodes" i like the comment.. dont follow them on Social.. and it will be new. I love Survivor, and I dont read the spoilers.. a show filmed 6 months ago was new ..

  38. Well that's too long! lol. I'm happy! Can't wait! Gรฉraldine

  50. Hoping Jill and her boys are included - if not I will stop watching. It would be even better with Derick.
He did not commit a crime (as Josh did) - Jill & Derick are a lovely couple and interesting.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. While I still like Derick as a person, he did break contract rules, which you may not do. Jill will probably still be on, maybe they'll just film her while Derick is working.

      Delete
    2. Derrick said he was the one who quit, so it was their decision according to him, not TLC.

      Delete
    3. I wouldn't take Derick's word for it. Two sides to every story.

  52. and hope it is longer than 7 wks or 7 episodes, which way you look at it means the same thing, like the last two segments that new episodes,
    P.S. do you agree

    1. I think there were going to be more episodes last season that focused more on Jill and Derrick, but then the whole Jaz thing happened and the episodes were pulled. I don't know that as a fact, just a speculation.

      Delete
    2. Derick stated that it was his decision to quit.

    3. Which came first, the chicken or the egg, the decision to quit or the "distancing" by TLC?

  60. I just wish it was on another network that has new fresh material. The Bates show has more new content in its half hour show than Counting On has in a whole season. Why TLC never listens to the fans wishes i will never know.Anyhoo glad they are back๐Ÿค—

    ReplyDelete
  61. Yay, I am so glad to hear it. I still wish they would go back to the older format of highlighting the whole family, but I'll take what we can get. So glad to hear it hasn't been canceled!

  63. I just read about the frozen embryo that was born 24 years later and wondered if anyone in your family had thought of doing that type of adoption, rather than the traditional route to parenthood? That is such an unselfish act IMHO.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. in vitro is not an approved/ethical form of pregnancy for many Christians.

      Delete
    2. @7:39.. but it is a Christian adoption agency that is arranging for the implantation.

      Delete
    3. 7:39 PM -- I don't think you understood the question. The point is that many women have unused frozen embryos that they did not have implanted. After awhile, if the women choose not to implant them, then these lives will be destroyed.

Actress Sofia Vergara was sued by her ex for custody of their frozen embryos, which he wanted to raise. He contended that they were lives worthy of saving.

I think 8:53 AM was asking if the Duggars have considered adopting one of these tiny lives. And I wholeheartedly agree that it's a great idea for those of us pro-lifers to consider.

      Delete
    4. Nope, they are better off doing it their way. Foolish comment you made! :(

      Delete
    5. @12:46.. Not so fast. Do you realize that only 30% survive the implantation process? 70% do not. That is why the Catholic Church is against IVF. Being Pro-Life means you are against any steps to cause the termination of all fertilized humans eggs.

      Delete
    6. 10:12- There are frozen embryos that will be destroyed if no one uses them. It seems that it would be logical for someone who is adamantly pro-life to step up and have one implanted, give birth and raise it as their own. Yes, there’s a risk that it won’t be successful, but is the alternative acceptable to you? I don’t think IVF is going away any time soon.

      Delete
    7. @10:12, Not so fast either. Depending on who you use as a source, up to 50% of all pregnancies end in miscarriage. This can happen before the woman even knows she was (technically) pregnant. Fertilization ends in spontaneous termination more than you might think. Who or what is to blame there? Who knows. You get pregnant, it ends in a miscarriage...isn't that also a termination of a fertilized egg, in the broadest sense of the word? Yet the Catholic Church is not against that, nor are Pro-Lifers.

      Delete
    8. 10:12 -- I am also against IVF, but these are already lives -- fertilized embryos. If they are not implanted, or at least attempted to be implanted, they will be terminated. Don't know how I can make it any clearer.

      Delete
    9. Christians are not against IVF. A lot of people in the church use it.

      Delete
    10. 4:03 - why on earth would the Catholic church or pro-lifers be against a miscarriage? What they are against is the willful taking of another's life before he or she is born. Comparing that to a miscarriage, which a woman has no control over, is ludicrous.

      Delete
    11. 8:13- Yes, it would be ludicrous to blame a woman for a miscarriage. However, if abortion were criminalized, you can bet any woman whose pregnancy terminates for any reason could be regarded with suspicion and possible investigation - was it really spontaneous or was it self- inflicted?

      Delete
  64. Finally! I wish it was sooner but thank God the show is coming back. YAY!

    ReplyDelete
  65. TLC needs to get a clue that censoring Christian values is destroying the very foundation that the show is based and centered on. I’m tired of specific and deliberate omissions of family members which is the complete opposite of their advertised “reality” tv. They are merely pushing their liberal agenda with specific editing and censorship of the show, leaving the viewers with a poorly discombobulated and confusing format in each episode. I’m glad that they are renewing the show but this Duggar fan will no longer support TLC’s antics. I will continue to be a fan of ALL of the Duggars, not just the ones allowed to be aired.

    ReplyDelete
  66. I had not been watching much, but now I will start again. Kendra is adorable and "new."

    ReplyDelete
  67. Can't wait! Hope the seasons will be longer!

  68. Yeah, great news!!

    ReplyDelete
  69. Maybe the next big announcement will be Jana courting Caleb Williams? Seems he's there all the time these days and appears with them a lot. He was at the Bates most recent wedding with them too.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. He has denied and denied this, but it's odd that an unrelated young man hangs out with the Duggars so much. When it happened before, and readers spotted it and reported it, the guy turned into a fiance.

      Delete
    2. So true - Jeremy was at the house for family things months before any announcement of a courtship came out. Eagle-eyed viewers spotted him and wondered!

      Delete
    3. Lauren is Jannas friend and hangs out with the duggars all the time, maybe Caleb is JDs friend.

  70. There's nothing wrong with getting married and having babies, but it seems that all we see. I wish someone would make the show more entertaining, but I'm not going to hold my breath. Yes, I'm starting to miss the old format...Jane
