I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was disappointed in this!
I can't stand the sound of that music but my relationship with my husband is the same. He loves hip hop and I like a more country sound.
Speechless on this one. A Duggar show and hip hop.
That was UNBELIEVABLY AWESOME! I know there are some people out there who will bash the Duggars because Ben is friends with a Hip-Hopper, but I'll stand against those who can not tolerate to see a wholesome show about a family that's branching off. #RappingBenAndQuincy #LoveTheDuggarsThanks Lily and Ellie for keeping us true fans posted.Cheers all the way from Ecuador!
What a fun episode. We enjoyed every minute of it.
Love it! That's so fun!
Ah ah ah, they seem to really be having fun!
Wow... I find this so sad!
LOL! Poor Ben said he missed the notes because he couldn't hear himself. I don't think that's the reason he missed the notes, but I admire him for trying. I admire he and Jessa working together to be part of a world that is so far removed from their upbringing. No matter what people say, which sadly is mostly condemning all because they don't like the look and sound of Flame and rap, Ben and Jessa are branching out to share the love of Christ.

I guess country & bluegrass fall under the same category as ungodly music because it moves my body and not my heart....shame on you for condemning music, you don't have that authority, only God does. And don't present "hip hop is of this world argument" because all music is of this world, therefore would be deemed ungodly if you think about it.
I would encourage you to read 2 Samuel 6 if that's your opinion. Sure sounds like David danced before God in front of everyone and He was pleased.
It is not biblical to make extra rules and regulations that restrict people into a much narrower box than God ever intended. The Bible speaks many times about dancing as an act of worship, which is exactly what I saw on the this show with Flame and the others. When the woman poured the jar of perfumed oils over Jesus' feet and wiped it with her hair, the Pharisees were outraged, but Jesus was pleased because he saw genuine love--not rules--being poured out as a gift to him. Who are we to question another person's genuine worship just because it doesn't fit into our personal, man-made standards?
I don't really understand why you feel this way. If you said, "hip hop seems too similar to worldly music, therefore I am suspicious of it." I would understand, but you base your belief that "it's not godly" on your opinion that godly music touches your heart, and this can't.First of all, it can. Listen to the words before you judge. In our family, we generally listen to classical music on the radio, but also Christian hip hop CDs that must husband owns. They aren't my cup of tea, but I can tell you the words of these songs, some are very challenging, others are touching, the words are the main emphasis in hip hop so they are a powerful poetic force for young people. Some of these music artists, my husband became friends with when he used their music as soundtracks for his surf films with Christian messages. Former drug dealers etc from very rough childhoods, they left behind the sin of their past addictions and use their skills in hip hop as a platform to spread their stories to those in their environment, and be all things to all people.Coming from worldly upbringing himself, my husband destroyed all his worldly CDs and replaced them with ones with positive and life affirming Christian lyrics. We also listen to a lot of worship in our home, and I recently had a beautiful time dancing modestly with scarves etc to Michael Ben David's beautiful music at a small gathering when he visited our town. He also was in the music scene with Puff Daddy's crew in New York and gave it all up to follow Messiah. Many of these guys could have had lucrative music deals and gave it up for Messiah - the message of Christ doesn't sell so much. Finally, I would remind you of two scriptures. Of course dancing immodestly is a heart attitude issue which translates into seductive movement. The Hebrew word for modesty also means humility, and the women in Isaiah with bells on their feet to attract attention are an example of how we should live in such a way not to draw seductive attention to ourselves (male or female), yet: "Then Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a tambourine in her hand, and all the women went out after her with tambourines and dancing." Exodus 15:20And David was dancing before the Lord with great enthusiasm, and David was wearing a linen ephod. So David and all the house of Israel were bringing the ark of the Lord up [to the City of David] with shouts and with the sound of the trumpet (shofar). Then, as the ark of the Lord came into the City of David, [f]Michal, Saul’s daughter [David’s wife], looked down from the window above and saw King David leaping and dancing before the Lord; and she felt contempt for him in her heart [because she thought him undignified]." 2 Samuel 6:14-16
Respectfully… the Bible talks about dancing quite a bit. Check your concordance.
Really bad show what a bad testimony.
To the above two comments- I'm really sad for you! Your narrowthinking must feed something that isn't God like. Ask not that ye be judged.
I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is excellent. Good for you two, Ben & Jessa. Pave your own way. Worship in your own way. Connect and collaborate with other believers in your own way. There is no cookie cutter path or method to following Christ and sharing His love.
Yes, there is, the BIBLE!!!! There is only ONE way to get to Heaven, and GOD tells us how to do that and live a good CHRISTIAN life, not through RAP MUSIC, but through the BIBLE.
That was so nice to add the baby!!
they have fallen so far, I can't believe this is being featured on the Duggar show.
Don't like Rap or Hip-Hop. I wish Ben would find a good Bible college and pursue his degree. He is most sincere in his love for Christ, but he needs REAL education to improve his speaking / preaching, and vocabulary. He would make a very dedicated preacher.
Ben needs a lot of practice in the speaking/preaching/writing department. At one time on his facebook page he said he was a writer. That's kind of funny because I've never seen anything he's written except some short blurbs on social media and some love letters to Jessa when they were courting. That doesn't make you a writer.
That's hilarious! :) nice to see them trying something new
Funny and awesome
I wonder that if the camera hadn't been rolling, would they have even gone there or tried that?
Can we talk about the video that has surfaced of Ben at a rock concert or a hip hop rap concert? The music is wild and crazy and loud and angry sounding.
Everything I have enjoyed and learned from the Duggars over the years have fallen wayside. I have admired them over the years for being different from the world which I always strived for and felt encouraged by them. I feel let down in a way. What's next? Dancing with the Stars? Prayers that they don't let the world pull them further in anymore. This all reminds me of the Pilgrims Progress story. I just watched the story on Pure Flix. It's so powerful. It's a great reminder for me in my everyday walk with the Lord. It's hard to not go off the path at times but we must get back on it and continue on! Praying for you all, Duggar family!
Why did they fly to St Louis? It's not that far from their home. Airplanes, hotels, eating out all the time.
Because Ben works and they can! What's it to you? Wow... Jealous much lol
Thanks for the good laugh :D
Lol this was so awko taco but I'm glad they had fun. What I really can't believe though is that people are actually offended by rap music about God...? Tell me, where in the Old Testament does it condemn rap music? Oh, what's that? It doesn't? But wait, there's more: WE ARENT BOUND TO THE OLD TESTAMENT LAW ANYWAYS
What did Ben say before "I believe, I believe"?
Ellie,is the song Flame and V. Rose sang in the episode available for download? Also what is it called?
Hi Taryn,It's called "Don't Fear," and it's available for download on Google Play. Here's the link: https://play.google.com/store/music/album/Flame_Mike_REAL_Don_t_Fear_feat_V_Rose?id=Byq3kolh3ha7e5735t3xj3woe4i&hl=enThanks for being a loyal reader!Lily and Ellie
Thank you so much!
This episode was awesome. I really pray the Duggars/Seawalds/Dillards continue to follow the Lords leading without fear & without discouragement from all the haters. I'm proud of Ben & Jessa (who looked great not awkward) for recognizing that God is the same loving merciful God in many different styles of music & different kinds of people. Yes His principles remain the same but the expression of the gospel & praise can take on many forms! I'm proud of the Dillards for not letting fear of danger hold them back from preaching the good news. Thanks Lily & Ellie for posting the info about this song. I heard it yesterday on our Christian hip-hop station Boost 101.9 but I didn't know the name of it...it's a really great song and now I can look it up!
