Duggar Summer Recap

Summer is coming to a close, and the Duggars definitely made the most of it! In June, they spent some time in the Big Apple--singing, sightseeing, and doing mission work. Then they piled into their bus and set out to promote "A Love That Multiplies," which sold 22 million copies within the first 30 days and has made the New York Times Bestseller list several times since its release in early June.

The evening of our July 7th interview with Michelle and Anna (which is currently featured on the TLC website), the family headed to Atlanta to sign books and visited a local megachurch. The Duggars then pushed onward to Tennessee to visit Gil and Kelly Bates and their 18 (soon to be 19) children.

Jim Bob and Michelle recently applied for passports for the kids--quite a feat for a super-sized family--and are currently in the process of planning an international trip for later this year.

We would love to hear the highlights of your summer! Go ahead and share them in the comments section.

  1. I have done a summer internship in small business management observation for the last four years, and learned a lot. I'm a studio art major, and most artists have to market their works in a small business environment. I'm also in the middle of writing my second book which is a sequel to my first book, "The Arranger's Journal"
The kids normally go up to DC, and handle projects set for them by their Grandmother who is an active 86 year old. Plus they do assigned educational assignments, as in their family culture assignment,(I'm half Choctaw) they attended Choctaw days at the American Indian museum in DC to learn more about that part of our family. Plus, learned about our founding documents at the national archives, and government visiting the capital building. They enjoyed visiting the old post office building in DC, and the national gallery of Art.
So that's pretty much sums up our summer, as we prepare to go back to the college for fall semester 2011 :)

  7. hello duggars, i wish I could send you a private message. I am curious if you have ever visited a child passenger safety technician. I am one and love what I do. I have noticed that your car seat usage could be better. Especially since you are a public idol. For example the aftermarket cover on Josies keyfit30. if you will notice in your car seat manual it will state not to use any aftermarket products with your seat as they have not been crash tested that way. Also I wanted to let you know of the new AAP recommendations or rearfacing to atleast two years of age if not longer. And harnessing as long as possible. and then boostering to 4'9". I would really look into finding a Child Passenger Safety Technician near you. I pretty much agree with everything you do except this.
