Jana Welcomes Baby Boy

Jana (Duggar) Wissmann is officially a mother! She and Stephen Wissmann welcomed their baby into the world on December 30th, 2025. Archie Gerald Wissmann was born on December 30th. The new parents delayed sharing the news so they could focus on settling into life with their son. Archie shares a birthday with the other set of Duggar twins, Jedidiah Duggar and Jeremiah Duggar.

  3. Congratulations Jana and Stephen on the birth of their new baby. Archie is a great choice for a name. Jana and Stephen are now officially parents for the first time ever. Jim Bob and Michelle are now grandparents again.

  9. This is the first time a Duggar grandchild shares a birthday with at least one of many aunts and uncles. I was kind of surprised Archie was born on the same day as Jedidiah and Jeremiah’s 27th birthdays. It’s great that they picked Gerald for a middle name because that’s Stephen’s middle name.

    1. This is not the first time that a Duggar grandchild shares a birthday with one of their aunts or uncles. Jill & Derick's son Frederick, (2022,) shares a birthday with his Uncle James. Joy & Austin's son Gunner, (2023,) shares a birthday with his Aunt Jill.

    2. Gunner and Jill, Frederick and James. Both pairs share birthdays already...
Also interesting to see that 2 of the Duggar Daughter-in-laws share the same birthdays (Anna and Hannah)

  17. Archie Gerald?? As a teacher who has seen this situation a million times, we’ll see how he feels about his name when he’s 13 years old.

    1. Well 7:09, you should see if there's a way you can personally contact them and the next time they want to name their OWN baby they can check in with you first on any names they're considering. Heaven forbid they pick a name YOU think their future 13 year old won't like. Lol 😉☺️

      Delete
    2. 7:09 Archie.is a solid name, for some reason I think of all the athletes with that name, like Archie Manning.

      Delete
    3. Agreed. However, he'll probably be homeschooled or go to a church school.

    4. @6:08pm I Agee!

    5. @7:29 I agree! Jana & Stephen named their little bundle of joy a good solid name and Archie is just as cute as can be. I am so happy for them. Another commenter said, Archie means, “truly brave”

    6. You must be new to this culture. The customary reply is "congratulations."

    7. I think sod Harry & Meghan’s kid- I wish I only thought of Archie Manning.

  19. So happy they spent time with their new baby before going public. Hope they don't a video showing his birth like others do. Enjoy your private moments with you baby.

    1. I agree. Jana has been really circumspect about this pregnancy and kept everything about it very private which is good, the only public things she did was announcing she's pregnant, the gender reveal and the birth announcement so I doubt we're going to see a heck of a lot about the actual birth.

    2. A reminder to everyone complaining about Jana and Stephen announcing the birth of their son three weeks later: They absolutely could have done a Joe and Kendra and Josiah and Lauren and said absolutely nothing... be grateful if a Duggar wants to share anything with the public because there might be a day soon where most of them will decide their children do not need to be in the public eye and disappear from social media.

  20. I saw their newborn pics on Facebook. He is really cute!

  21. The baby is almost one month old before you tell us. What is the meaning of that?? I figured she was still pregnant! But I will still follow the Duggar family, at least some of them.

    1. What business is it of yours when they announce the birth?

      Delete
    2. Because they had to wait for a news magazine to announce it and probably make some money.

      Delete
    3. Be grateful that Jana and Stephen publicly announced the birth of their son at all. They could have and probably should have done what Josiah and Lauren have done.

      Delete
    4. I'm disappointed you waited almost one month before telling us. It's not like we would do something to the baby. We are fans of the Duggar family

      Delete
    5. @1:10 Be grateful they announced it at all because they didn't have to snd could have just said "Baby boy born 30th December. No name to be disclosed to the public for privacy reasons". Jackson and Emerson Bates had a baby boy last year and they have never announced the baby's name on social media which is their right.

    1. It s also the name of the son of Price Harry from England.

    2. Well, I know someone whose dog had the same name as me, and I have a very common name. Sooo . . .

      Delete
    3. Yeah…it’s a pet name. I also thought of the main character on All in the Family too.

    4. Your cousin's dog has a people name . . . Yikes!

    5. prince harry is not a prince of england he is a prince of great britain and the united kingdom england is not the only country in the uk

      Delete
    6. 4:19am That's like trying to explain to the UK that the US is not just California, Texas, Florida, and New York. Besides, that poster said "from" England, not "of" England. You can't dispute "from." He was born in London.

      Delete
    7. doesnt matter where he was born he is not a prince of england which i was the person posting was meaning

      Delete
    8. Arguing about where Harry is from is beside the point. The point is that he also has a son named Archie. Nitpicking someone's word choices is something I correct my kids for. It's just not necessary and distracts from the main point.

      Delete
    9. yes it does matter too many people assume that England is the only place in the UK when in fact there is also Scotland Wales and Northern Ireland it is very annoying to be referred as english when in fact u are scottish and as this is a public post i cant put my opinions

      Delete
    10. yes it does matter too many people assume that England is the only place in the UK when its not

      Delete
    11. Technically they didn't say he was the prince of England. Go reread it. 😁

    12. @9:05pm You are Right! 👍

      Delete
    13. he is from the UK not just England thank you

      Delete
    14. Anywho, the point was that Archie's name is also the name of Harry and Meghan's son. Harry and Meghan who live in the US.

    1. What if your daughter has no interest in that lifestyle? Would you be disappointed in her? I’d prefer that my daughter be excited about travel, college, and career.

      Delete
    2. That's a lot of pressure and expectation to put on someone. I would never expect my sons or daughters to produce grandchildren for me. Their life, their choice.

      Delete
    3. Perhaps her daughter has confided in her Mom and said that she can't wait for the day she meets her special love and starts a family. The Mom has every right to be excited at the prospect of her daughters dreams coming true and she didn't owe you a full blown explanation as to why she said what she said. My gosh people stop 💩ing on happy comments!!

  29. How bad was the ice storm in your area, Ellie? Power out?

    1. Thank you for asking! We had a bad ice storm and are in the middle of a 4-day power outage. 100,000 still out of power in the Nashville area. We're doing ok though.

      Ellie

      Delete
    2. No power in January ice is the worst. We put in a whole-house generator years ago but that only makes us dependent on another machine that can fail. Plus you really don't want to have to live with that running if you can help it. You want the Real Deal from the power company. Nashville has a lot of grid rebuild to do before it recovers.

  34. It is crazy now with all of the ai content posted. Delaying an announcement gives ai Im post ers a big chance to put up lots of fake news that gets clicks from people eager for the "real news". Of course ai news is usually NOT real or reliable, especially if the real report is not out yet for ai reports to feed off of. It was late January and I was considering that the baby wasn't here yet, because all the ai stories just did not look really true. I'm glad to know the true story and finally really see their beautiful baby boy!

  35. I haven't seen the picture of the baby boy on this website, only on social media.
