Have you been following along with the European sightseeing trip that a few of the Duggars took? We posted James Duggar's videos from the group's time in London, Rome, and Pompeii. They also explored Venice

  1. Oh good, they were able to find a McDonald's and have an "American lunch."

    1. But then he had to eat that Italian stuff for dinner. lol

    2. Hopefully the restaurant they chose had cleaner window screens. That was really appetizing to show.

    3. A McDonald's with real Italian meat! I don't know where else he expected that meat to come from. McD's sources locally when possible.

  2. I don't know...somehow I have to think that you should be able to pronounce the name of the place you're visiting.

    1. I'm pretty sure you comment this twice. And again if your first language is English, it's not uncommon to not able pronounce everything like you can lol. You must have a massive education.

  3. He kind of takes a glance at everything and then says it's "cool." I hope he got more than that from his visit.

    1. Uh, he was a lot younger then.

    2. I don’t usually agree with Justine very often, but this time I do. James came across as a country hick in these videos to be blunt and honest. He’s gotten to travel more than me and I’m not famous and have a normal paying job.

    3. @10:03. So? He could still remember. My family made trips to Europe almost every year when I was growing up. I was able to absorb the geography, culture, and history and have an appreciation for them even though I was young. My parents made sure of that. Experiences from those trips have stayed with me my whole life. I'm glad I went. I got to see the Queen on horseback outside the palace. They let me stand in front because I was a small child. Children can remember.

    4. 8:11 I agree with you. I don't know why you'd share a personal video like that except to get money. I wish his parents would have taught all the kids better. Oversharing does not do you any favors even if you get paid for it.

    5. Anyone that uses the word hick is so immature. But if you feel that way, comment that under his video or go to his social media to tell him that yourself :) I'm waiting

    6. 1:27 oversharing? Lol. Do you tell that to everyone that do traveling videos?

      Delete
    7. Done, 2:57. Better hurry! Remember who called him that first in the video though. FAMILY.

      Delete
    8. @2:57 I think you should address your concerns to Katey Dugger, since she called her own brother-in-law essentially that, in public.

  6. I was going to go to Italy but if they don't have good old American Dr. Pepper, forget it. It's amazing how many non-American things you have to deal with once you leave America. Thanks for the info James.

  7. Waiting on those people who have something to say because they are jealous they can't go to Venice lol

    1. I can go to Venice and I still have something to say about James' video. The jealousy card doesn't work.

      Delete
    2. No one is "jealous" but James made a lot of silly remarks that has everyone laughing.

      Delete
    3. Yes you guys are jealous lol. James is just vlogging his adventures like some people do. You don't have to go to college for that. His shaky hands could be related to anxiety.

      Delete
    4. His shaky hands are due to nothing other than doing a bad job of recording on a cell phone, like a million other bad cell phone videos out there. I thought running "Duggar Studios" and having a camera crew in your house for years might have taught these kids something about filming, but maybe not.

      Delete
    5. Amazing how you can tell that people are jealous even after they said they're not. @632lol

      Delete
    6. @6:32 Right, we're jealous. Jealous of a family who has a son in jail and had a huge fall from grace in front of a national audience. Jealous of women who are expected to marry young and then start having a baby a year. Jealous of boys who push dirt and used cars around for a living because they were not encouraged to get professional degrees. Jealous of having to depend on our parents for adult financial support. Jealous of being single, not dating, and living at home into our 30's. Jealous of not being featured in tabloids all the time. Gosh, jealousy really nails it down.

  9. Have a lovely time! ^_^

  10. It looks like they just rambled around looking for American food and saying that everything was "cool." Did James ever realize why people at that time of year would be wearing "fancy clothing"? Did he realize where exactly he was?

    1. One look at the people and the calendar and he should have known what was going on.

    2. There's so much Catholicism in Italy that he probably tunes stuff out and doesn't connect any dots. Either that or he must ignore the fact that the period leading up to Lent has historically been a time of partying and other "irresponsibility" in certain cultures. Kudos to the people who were decked out in the video, keeping tradition alive.

      Delete
    3. I'm not sure if he's really that ignorant or was just playing to the camera.

      Delete
    4. James is really just a kid spreading his wings and having fun. Just be glad for him that he was able to have a nice trip, and perhaps when he's older and more mature, he'll look back on his younger self and decide to go again and really appreciate everything Europe has to offer. He'll come into his own in his time not anyone else's. And I'm writing this with a smile thinking about my son.

      Delete
    5. @4:47 Funny, any time one of the Duggars gets married young, lots of people here claim the Duggar kids are "mature."

      Delete
    6. 3:37 what makes you think they are not? Lol

  11. The videos have been pretty bad. If you're going to film your travels, you should at least know where you are, how to pronounce it, what the buildings are you're filming, what is happening around you, and why. You shouldn't stand there and twirl the camera around and say everything is neat or cool, then complain about something like a long line or lack of food that you're used to in Arkansas. James never seemed to understand where he was or what to do there. Not very educational for the viewers. Maybe he'll leave the filming to someone else next time.

    1. The Valentine's Day comment was the funniest. Apparently he's never heard of Carnevale which was why the people were dressed in costumes. Now he and Elijah are off to Switerland.

      Delete
    2. There are a lot of people who can't pronounce foreign places with foreign names when your first language is English. Stop trying to sound superior. We all know you are just jealous that you probably never been to any of these places. I been to Israel, Egypt and Greece. I never knew how to speak any of the languages and I got by fine. They don't hold it against you.

      Delete
    3. You know what's sad there are Americans who can't even say English stuff right like myself. You would lose it if you heard how I say "Cinnamon". I been to speech and that didn't do anything. But nobody ever corrected me about it not would I correct people for not being able to pronounce something. That's what you call manners.

      Delete
    4. You can pronounce where you are properly when you are vlogging about it. That's called being accurate and informative.

      Delete
    5. He can pronounce things how he wants, it nots like its Discovery channel! Y'all are wild sometimes.

    1. Not ice cream. Gelato. Gelati. Whatever. Cool.

    2. Gelato is ice cream just Italian way. Get over it. Stop trying to correct people.

    3. He has "J&J Environmental Services" but I don't understand what he does for the environment because all I've seen him do is make ruts driving junker cars around in the land next to the house, and dump a car in a pond for a gender reveal.

  16. After doing the island of Venice on foot they're off to ski Switzerland.

  17. These videos are hilarious. I hope we get to see James hunting for a McDonald's in Switzerland. I hear Swiss food is bad.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Swiss food is delicious! So fresh! They have fantastic dairy farms and great grazing and farm land. I've seen cows come down from the pastures in the evening with one cowherd in the back, each cow automatically turning in at the correct roads to their different barns without having to be led.

    2. There is a whole page that dedicates McDonald's and travelling because what they serve is different. Have you ever had chocolate drizzled french fries or poutine fries at a American McDonalds? Routine is my favorite. Many summers ago I went to Japan and found a melon soda float at a burger king. Their hamburger patties are a lot better too.

      Delete
    3. Not sure where you heard that from - I was recently there and found the food to be fine!

      Delete
    4. I haven't eaten at a McDonald's in over 30 years. I won't support some corporate giant with McYucky food that's not good for you. I certainly wouldn't go to another country and eat there when there are so many other choices for fresh local food and individually owned restaurants with their own chefs. It's like the people who go to New York City and eat at Applebee's or Olive Garden. Please.

      Delete
    5. @6:26 These kids are eating their way across Europe one McDonald's after the other on purpose, like foreign food should be avoided. At some point you have to spread your wings and try better food (not just pizza either).

      Delete
    6. Better stay away from that Swiss cheese. It has holes in it. lol

  18. People making snarky comments about James' travel videos should ask themselves why they are being so unkind. Are they unhappy in their own lives? Apparently they make it a priority to view the videos. Maybe they need to something else with which to fill their time.

  23. I like how a few people are worried about James saying stuff incorrectly when most Americans don't know how to say Hawai'i correctly. It's a state and in your opinion we all should know! Lol. Good grief.

    1. You're talking about how different dialects say the name of a state. James barely had any idea about where he was. Different situation.

  24. Wonderful trip for some members of Duggar family and their friends! Duggars as a family took several trips abroad, and many Duggars has honeymoons abroad (Jessa in France and Italy, Jinger in Australia, Joy in Switzerland and Israel, Joseph in Greece, Josiah in Austria, John went to Finland). So it's nice to see that James, Jana (who are not married yet) were able to make this European trip.
