Duggars and Dodgers

A few of the Duggar siblings made the trip out to Los Angeles to visit Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo. While there, they attended a Major League Baseball game at Dodger Stadium. Have you ever been to an MLB game?

  1. That would be cool if they made it up here to Seattle Washington .

    1. I live outside of Seattle, but I’d be embarrassed if they came here. Seattle has turned into a wasteland! When I took a trip to Oregon this summer, it was the first time driving through Seattle since the take over of chaz. And wow. I could smell the garbage through my car. It was disgusting. It’s sad. I’ve lived here my whole life, and Seattle looks like the zombie apocalypse.

    2. That is so sad, 5:02!

  2. Yep, used to go to Cleveland Indians games, also seen Twins and White Sox. But I prefer watching on TV, since it's easier to see the action.

  3. That's nice. A vacation destination for the rest of the family. I wonder how much longer Jeremy will be attending school in LA.

  4. Always nice when siblings get together! For those that get along with each other, I mean.

  5. That t-shirt brand on Jason. I guess he's proud of what he's trying to say. Actually joining the Army would say it better.

    1. I wholeheartedly agree 11:07! These young men need to step up for the country they seem to love so much.

    2. I would never encourage any young man to join the military now after seeing what our commander in chief is doing.

      Delete
    3. Unfortunately the military isn't in very good shape right now. Not any place I'd want my sons to be.

      Delete
    4. At 1049, my husband is in the military, and I'd be proud of my son, if he joined the military. There are far worse jobs to have.

      Delete
    5. @8:37 Like the last one was more knowledgeable and had more experience commanding? Maybe if the military included beauty pageants.

@10:49 There are veterans here and people whose family members are still in the military. You are putting down the people who kept you safe and are keeping you safe tonight by risking their own lives.

You both don't want anyone to join the military because you don't like what you see. Who do you think is going to protect your country for you?

      Delete
    6. 9:44, I want BETTER leadership. I'm not putting down the poor military members who are doing their best to protect us but are stuck with bad leadership. I feel bad for them.

      Delete
    7. 9:44, what are you talking about? I appreciate the military service members who sacrifice for our country. I do NOT appreciate the way the President has handled things in Afghanistan. He makes me scared for our service members. THAT is why I would not encourage anyone to join the military right now. Has NOTHING to do with anyone who is a veteran or who has a family member in the service.

      Delete
    8. Thank you for saying that 9:44! I am a PROUD MOTHER of 2 sons and 1 daughter, all in their 20's and have already ranked up to Staff Sergeants and wanting to go higher. They serve in the AF and have traveled and been in situations that keyboard warriors wouldn't dare criticize if they knew about it. Everyone please take time to say thank you to a veteran when you see one. So many people have shed their blood to give us the privilege to live in the US, but look at what this country has become. But there's another person that gave His life Blood for us, and He's treated worse.

      Delete
    9. @11:07 AM Because he is wearing a patriotic shirt? Many people wear patriotic shirts. Not everyone has to join the military to show patriotism.

      Delete
    10. @6:27 People have been saying "Look at what this country has become" since 1776. There has never been total agreement about how to run things, and there never will be. You take on the job of President knowing you're going to be criticized left and right. But with a few notable exceptions, most Presidents do try to do what's best. I'm sleeping better these days than I have in years.

    11. Ugh, I'm not. Our country has become more and more violent.

    12. Well like President Biden said on live nationally TV, we need our men over here because we have threats coming out of different countries. We don't have boots on the ground here.

      Delete
    13. 7:42, um, that's what the police are for. The police that Biden's party are trying to abolish or defund in different cities.

  7. "In accordance with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (LACDPH) order (effective August 19, 2021), all individuals ages two and older, regardless of vaccination status, are now required to wear a mask or an appropriate face covering at all times at Dodger Stadium, except when actively eating or drinking." Hello there Duggars.

    2. Wow, yeah, look at all the people they're sitting near in the picture. 🙄

    3. 🙄 No one is going to get or give covid if they take a mask off for 30 seconds with NO ONE ELSE in close proximity to take a picture.

    4. 1:26 -- I can't believe it's come to this -- if you're actually serious and not a troll.

    5. They are just doing it for the photo.... Like multiple other people did at the game. You should check out twitter and facebook.

  8. I’ve been to one before. I prefer to go watch football (soccer for you Americans), it’s much more action packed and it has you hooked the whole time. I found the baseball game too calm.

  9. Yes, used to go to the Pittsburgh Pirates games. Been to some minor league games also. Great to see some of the Duggar siblings together having fun. Love Jinger's haircut.

  10. My family went to a Mariners game while on vacation in the area. My son was young enough to participate in the post-game base run for kids. It was lots of fun and since it was in Seattle, no one blinked at hearing Canadian accents, LOL!

  11. Looks like fun! Hope that they all had a great time 👍. I've been to a couple of Baltimore Orioles games.

  12. I've never been to a MLB game before. I'm not a huge fan of sports but I would love to see figure skating in person or track.

  13. No i have never been to one. The way their hair and the picture is Jana/ Jinger look more alike. Thats sweet the siblings got to see a game

  14. I've never been to a sports game but I watched them on tv. I am praying for the Duggars and the extended family members. I really would love ♥️ Duggars and and the extended family members to come back on tv with another spin off. I really would be excited ❣️ and happy 😊 hopefully this will happen asap please. Thank you Lillie and Ellie & please keep the blog going. Natasha b

    1. Natasha, I hope for your sake your prayers are answeredbecause you truly love the Duggars.

      Delete
    2. I disagree. I know you love to watch the Duggars, Natasha, but a tv show just isn’t going to happen. Maybe they will find a network somewhere, but there is a lot to deal with before anyone will pick them up.

      Delete
    3. The only TV show that could happen is if some station wants to do a report on a family with problems. That angle. Otherwise, too much has gone down for the original type of show to ever come back. The audience knows too much this time around. The Duggars tried to keep things covered up but the truth came out anyway. Maybe that was for the best for everyone involved.

      Delete
    4. The Duggars are too controversial now and it would take a whole new level of pride and sense of entitlement to go back on TV like nothing has happened. I don't think viewers would accept that. The ship has sailed. No network can or should touch them, not even for a "sympathy special" like they did last time.

      Delete
    5. At this point they have nothing more to show us. Let them concentrate on cleaning up the messes they have, away from any TV audience.

      Delete
  15. I hope that Jinger, and her siblings, had a great time at the baseball game.

  16. There's a clear mask mandate at that stadium. Why do they continually show pictures of themselves without masks on everywhere they go? It's so disrespectful. This family who has prided themselves by being such great Christian role models has fallen terribly short of that mark during Covid. I'm sorry but I can't respect them for this arrogant behavior. I know you want to talk about baseball here but I can't, not with what they're doing in that picture. I just turned off the local news because I was getting too depressed hearing their report of the numbers of people hospitalized and the conditions staff are facing with bed shortages and now low oxygen supplies. Then I come here and see the Duggars doing this, not a care in the world, not a mask in sight even though there's a mask mandate at the stadium. It's disheartening, to say the least.

    1. Well if there's a mask mandate they would have not been granted entry so they had the masks on while walking up to their seats and have taken them off when they sat at thair isolated seats, see there's no people sitting in the seats behind them, it's the same when you enter a restaurant here in the uk, you can only take your mask off when you are seated and then back on before leaving the table and the tables and chairs are all kept two meter distance, life can't come to a stop with this pandemic but you also have to do your best to follow rules, which I'm sure the Duggars are doing and if they make some exceptions well everyone is doing that, even politicians here in UK are allowing us some liberty, not that it's such a good idea probably the reason the covid rates are increasing.

      Delete
    2. Maybe they just slipped them off for the picture. Don’t know them that well, but would they be so flagrant about not wearing masks.

      Delete
    3. They might have taken their masks off just for the picture

      Delete
    4. Again...
Taking your mask off for a pic is a very normal thing...

      Delete
    5. What's depressing is the loss of freedom and freedom of speech. It's scary times but not because of COVID.

      Delete
    6. Agree, 9:59. They are sitting in the open air, with no one else around. So silly to fuss about not wanting to take a picture where you can't see half their face when there is literally no chance of getting or spreading covid to anyone in that moment.

      Delete
    7. @3:47 There were people in the seats around them in other pictures. The mask policy there says you have to have your mask on at all times. It doesn't say anything about taking them off for a few minutes while posing for pictures. Besides, wouldn't taking pictures with their masks on be better PR for them to post?

      Delete
    8. I look at that picture and see zero reason why a mask would be necessary. Who are they sitting near? No one.

      Delete
    9. Taking pictures with masks on would be the responsible thing to do.

      Delete
    10. They only took their masks off for the pictures. Before you get your panties in twist check out other people's pictures from that same game, they also had their masks off. Be sure you go off on them too.

  17. Breakout stars don't need to wear masks in public in a Delta breakout?

    1. I’m sure they slid them down for the picture and slid the mask up again a couple seconds later when they were finished.

      Delete
    2. If we could just convince the Duggars that masks were modest they'd wear 2 or 3 layers of them.

      Delete
    3. Modest masks, LOL, how true!

  18. Maybe, just maybe, they took off their masks for the photo. Let's give them the benefit of the doubt.

  21. I been to one game that was to see a Yankees game. I before to watch on tv. That why I can pause the tv to go to the restroom and not miss anything and also at home you don't have to pay for food.

  22. Does anyone know how much those tickets cost? I understand it's based on where you're sitting in the stands...can't be cheap in any location.

    1. 4:06 - are you asking for yourself or just criticizing the Duggars. I’m guessing you are being critical, otherwise you would have looked up ticket prices on the Dodgers website. So go to that site, and don’t bother reporting back to us.

  23. RE: Dodger ticket prices...NO, not being critical; just wondering. I'm not computer literate so I asked a general question. Remember this family are not saints or perfect people to to imitated and worshipped. The Vuolo's finances do not make sense. Jeremy has no real job that we know of, Jinger can't earn that much from her social websites, they have 2 children to clothe in designer, fancy clothing, besides themselves. Jana also has no real income of her own. Where does she get her money? Does she have and pay for her own medical insurance? Since she isn't allowed to have a real paying job, how does she afford to travel as she does? So many questions, so many little answers.

    1. 6:19, Jinger has mentioned "when Jeremy comes home from work" on her social media, so yes, it appears he has a job.

      Delete
    2. Biggest question: Why is this family still in the public eye?

      Delete
    3. 8:49 - The Duggars are on social media like millions of other people. They are living their lives and posting what they want. The adult siblings shouldn't have to change because of Josh's crimes. The siblings didn't do anything wrong.

Websites choose to draw attention to their posts. You choose to consume Duggar-related media and keep them a public interest story. So, you're helping keep them in the public eye.

      Delete
    4. Jeremy works for Grace Community Church. He helped create website content for John MacArthur's expository preaching center and works on the church's podcasts. He was going to be the coordinator for G3 conference before the pandemic.

The Vuolos' housing situation also means their cost of living is lower than many.

Felicity doesn't really wear designer clothing. Most of what we saw her in was standard retail and they shop at outlets. We haven't seen Evy enough to know what her wardrobe is like. Jinger and Jeremy repeat clothes. The shoes are insane though.

A lot of people also gift clothing and other things to the Duggars because they are fans or companies want new eyes on their brand.

In terms of ticket prices, they start at about $35.

The family was on national TV for 15+ years. The show was a job even if Jim Bob and Michelle said it was a ministry. They got paid. The Duggar kids, especially Joy and up, should have been paid for their involvement. Idk what kind of compensation the siblings got out of it.

I agree they aren't saints or people to be emulated. Their time on TV opens thems to opportunities and gifts most wouldn't get.

      Delete
    5. 8:49, because the public still looks at them. If they had no audience, the social media would dwindle.
