  1. So many birthdays it's hard to keep up. Maybe just do a month's worth at one time.

  2. Can you become a father more than once?

    1. Uh...yeah. as many times as you have kids. Each time you have one you become a father to that child.

  4. Here's hoping that Ben, enjoyed his 26th Birthday!!!! Also, what a sweet photo of Ben & Ivy.

  5. Ivy is absolutely adorable💕
I have a feeling that baby #4 is another boy, but I think Ivy would love having a little sister to be like a “real life baby doll” Praying for Jessa to have a safe delivery and that baby would arrive safely

  7. You are doing a fantastic job with birthdays Ellie, thank you so much! Ben seems so very mature for his age! Not everybody could be a father of four and a minister and be so serious about the Lord at 26! I’m sure that the Lord has special plans in store for Ben! Happy Birthday Ben🎂God bless you and your dear family! I have also noticed that you are so respectful towards your in-laws! That is so kind of you!

    1. Fantastic? Jill didn’t get her own post and she’s a Duggar!

    2. Is he really working now as a minister? As usual, the question of what do these Duggar men/husbands do for a living comes up.

      Delete
    3. Ben may be all those things, but one does wonder what sort of job he has to support his family.

      Delete
    4. @11:10-yes! What do those guys really do for work???

      Delete
    5. In what church is he a minister? I only thought he graduated for it but wasn't yet doing it for a living.

      Delete
    6. 11:10, do you think Lily and Ellie were lying a few months ago when they said he was a pastor?

      Delete
    7. Why does the question have to come up? I don't think it does.

      Delete
    8. If he's a pastor, we'd like to see him in action. Videos? Pics?

      Delete
    9. 1:24, that's kind of ridiculous.

      Delete
    10. He is a pastor. He was sent out from our church.

      Delete
    11. 8:25 He may have completed the coursework to be a pastor, but I don't recall that he actually has a church to pastor as of yet.

      Delete
    12. No, 5:27, they said he was pastoring a church.

      Delete
    13. Anon 12:39. He was ordained as a pastor in some church. That doesn't mean he's being PAID a salary.

    14. All this could be cleared up in two seconds flat with either a statement from the family or the blog owners answering this question.

    15. While I get that Ben & Jessa likely want to retain their privacy by not revealing where Ben is working as a pastor, it's laughable that people who've made, and continue making, the majority of their income from selling all the aspects of their lives (from courting and marriage, to televised births, to family funerals, to their brand of Christianity) to the public, want to cite privacy. If their concern is really for their congregation and not wanting "fans" or "detractors" to disrupt services, then they need to step away from the show and Ben actually be a 24/7 pastor. Guess time will tell where their hearts actually are.

      Delete
    16. @10:29 Where is he a pastor? Is it some sort of associate position or youth pastor position?

      Delete
    17. I can't get over the nosy tone of some of these comments. When you let the public in on details like location of house or job, you're putting safety at risk.

      Delete
    18. @11:44 How do you work as a pastor at a church and keep your location private? Every Sunday, the congregation sees you right there. The entire point of being clergy is connecting with people and being visible and available. It's not a career you go into if you need to remain private and anonymous!

      Delete
    19. @11:44 Ben's church has put Ben's sermons online for the public to listen to so obviously they don't feel there's any risk and Ben wouldn't either or he wouldn't agree to that.

    20. So I guess Ben is a pastor at a church, then, 9:28.

    4. I know some are hoping the Duggars will return (some are hoping all the Duggars return), but honestly I hope they do not. I think the children (both minors and adults) would be far better served if the family stepped down from the show, all appearances/speaking engagements, and stopped writing books. I wish they'd concentrate their time and efforts into creating a healthier family (and healthier individual families) spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and physically. With all due respect, the family has had some serious crises since 2002 and their family members would benefit from impartial licensed Christian counseling, outside the family sphere of influence and their Church circles. In my opinion, the storm is going to get a lot worse before it gets better and all of the family members could use some additional support.

  9. What a sweet picture!

  10. I think you could better hope for them they'll not being forced anymore to be in the realityshow...if you really love them...

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Forced? Which are forced, they don't follow the younger ones anymore. Besides I bet they are making a good living from the show.

      Delete
    2. The kids didn't make a good living from the show or else Derick and Jill wouldn't have had to do what they did. If anything, they get provided with a roof over their heads until they're married and then they're given a house or some property for a house after they're married.

      Delete
    3. Whether the children (grown adult or minors) are making good money individually from the show remains to be seen. Regardless if any of the children are making good money or not, it doesn't necessarily mean they enjoy/have enjoyed doing the show or whether they were pressured into it (by being told it was the family ministry or just because of parental expectations to cheerfully participate and smile). Just because people appear on camera and in picture ops smiling doesn't mean that's actually how they really feel privately. I think we can all agree Jana has dutifully participated for years and has not personally enjoyed it (and I say that with all due respect because she is may all-time, hands down favorite Duggar since the 1st episode and I have been concerned for her for a long time).

      Delete
    4. I'm pretty sure they are able to decide what is best for them and their family. For goodness sake, they are grown adults with access to the internet and can decide what is best for them. I hope everyone analysis their own lives as much as they do the Duggars and are living the perfect life.

  12. Happy Birthday BEN, U, and Jess are my Favourite Duggar couple!!!! I love U 6!!!!!!!!!

  13. I think it would be very hard to try and keep up with all these birthdays on an individual basis and post them each time. The bloggers here just get flak when they aren't Johnny-on-th-spot with each one. Maybe a list at the start of each month would suffice if die-hard fans think they need an update. I don't need to know who's having a birthday and who isn't.

    1. I agree. If they just did birthdays, we’d get no actual news about their lives. And birthday blogs are so boring. How many different ways can bloggers say Happy Birthday.

    2. Agree with both of you. The birthday posts are boring.

  14. Happy Birthday Ben! Now would love to see Counting on return without the BIG HOUSE or JimBob and Michelle.... Just Jinger and Jeremy ... then Jill and Derrick and Ben and Jessa... MUCH emphasis in Jinger and Jeremy... Love the

  15. What is the latest with the adoptions that the couple had planned?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. As with so many people, they never truly plan on adopting. It is good to say as it bring attention and “praise” but the follow through is way too much for them. Finding a reputable adoption agency, proving you can and will provide for a child mentally, physically, emotionally, and financially, AND can keep the child safe. Having a brother with allegedly so many issues with pornography would definitely cause a reputable agency to have questions. Basically, the adoption was a publicity ploy!

    2. Back burner for now

      Delete
    3. They said they're going to wait until they're done having biological kids since there had to be a specific age spacing before they could even apply.

      Delete
    4. 1:57 Back burner? It's not even close to the kitchen, let alone the stove.

      Delete
    5. 12:21 -- The only one who would know their true intentions is them, so which one are you -- Jessa or Ben?

      Delete
    6. 5:36, haha. Back burner just means it's an idea in their head. So it is in the kitchen.

    7. Age has nothing to do with it.

    2. I'm sure Ben is a great guy, but other than helping Michelle occasionally with homeschooling he has no known form of employment with which to support himself and his family. I prefer my children who have good jobs and support themselves and their families.

    3. Known is the key word. They don't have to tell us where he works.

      Delete
    4. Anon 12:41. Yeah, but most people say WHAT sort of work they do to earn their living. Like, I'm an electrician, a plumber, a truck driver, a teacher, etc. When you get no indication of any kind work a person performs the questions arise.

    5. 1:53, that info is actually out there. All the guys are in multiple things, like real estate, construction, etc.

    1. I believe that Jessa's due date, is in August.

    2. I think she just said she’s due in the summer

      Delete
    3. @ Anonymous 1:01pm, in her Feb. 18th, 21 announcement, Jessa did indicate that her fourth child, was due this summer. However, I have noticed a pattern in which when the Duggars make their pregnancy announcements, that person's due date is usually about six months, from the date of their announcement. Thus, since Jessa made her announcement on Feb. 18th, 21, I think that it is safe to guess that Jessa's due date will be around Aug. 18th, 21.

  19. Ben seems to have such a nice personality, so good for Jessa. And 4 kids at 26 is a lot! Jim Bob had 4 kids at 26 too, but only because of the first set of twins.

  21. I saw him outside with his kids the other day looking at a rainbow. What a good dad.

    1. ??? Do you drive by their house frequently?

      Delete
    2. I don't think looking at rainbows with your kids makes someone a "good dad". There's a LOT more to being a good parent than that activity.

      Delete
    3. Wow. That is how good dads are defined now?

      Delete
    4. I'm sure she just meant he was taking time with his kids. And yeah, some dads don't slow down to do the small things with their kids.

      Delete
    5. Yeah, spending time with your kids, is a quality of a good dad.
