A few days ago, we revealed Joseph and Kendra Duggar's big announcement. This afternoon, we have a video message from the couple to share. Joe and Kendra discuss morning sickness, their nursery preparations, what they are most looking forward to about being parents, and more.

  10. I love Joe and Kendra. They make a great couple and I love how cheerful and friendly they are. I wish Kendra would introduce her sister to John David.

    1. I believe her sister is only about 16 or 17. A little bit young for John David. Besides, since they are in-laws, I am sure they have met.

    2. They've obviously met, but John David is more than 10 years older than Kendra's sister, so I don't see that happening.

    3. John David KNOWS Kendra's sister - he is too old for her (even if there is a chance for a courtship) she is younger than Kendra. Not a good match at all.v . . . perhaps, a way down the road one of the younger Duggar twins would be a good match ??????

    4. Her sister is like 12-13 years younger than John David! Probably a better fit -age speaking- for one of the twins!

    5. Oh my goodness. The would be plain weird - Kendra's sister is younger than Kendra is, I believe, and John David is 28. The age gap is too much, in my opinion.

    6. Oh, I didn't realize John-David was that much older than Kendra's sister. I agree with you all that he would be too old for her.

  11. I would be interested in hearing about secular community service endeavors or causes with which they may be involved or support- specifically, activities that do not include soul-saving/testifying/religious missions, or politics. I find the topics of this show to be quite
redundant- weddings, babies, shopping, manicures, eating out, etc. It all sounds the same after awhile.

  12. John David, at 28, is too old for Lauren, who is only about 18. If they were 50 and 40, it would not be a bit deal, but there is a bit difference between someone just beginning to be an adult and someone who has been an adult for a decade. They will each likely become a wonderful spouse, just not for each other.

    1. @anonymous 9:27. so you must know them personally to have such knowledge of if they are good for each other just cause of there age. making it together has everything to do with the couple not there age i was 18 my man 27 when we met and here we are now 20 years later only persons that know when there ready or not is them

    2. In most circumstances, 18 and 28 are worlds apart - and barely legal. However, when you have to live at home with the other kids until you're married, 28 can seem just as mature - or more specifically, immature - as 18.

    3. Sherese, the difference here is the 20 year gap from when you got married to now.

    4. @anonymous 12:40. your so right i mean 1998 was such a long time ago

    5. Sherese H, a lot has changed since 1998. For example, in 1998 John David was 8 years old, and Kendra's sister was not yet born.

  13. Gosh, they seem so young! Very sweet, though, I wish them all the best.

  14. I’m sure he’s met her already, but don’t you think she’s a tad young for John David?

  15. Why do they always say "gender" when the correct term is "sex"?

Which house are they living in?

    1. Most people use the terms "gender" and "sex" interchangeably so I don't know why it's that big a deal. Who knows where Joe and Dendra live. Most likely in some house bestowed on them by Jim Bob and Michelle.

    2. Because gender is also the correct term. Gender means "the state of being male or female", therefore is the correct word to use.

    3. Gender and sex can be used interchangeably.

  16. Congratulations to Joe and Kendra! You guys will be great parents.
