    1. Having cameras right there in your face takes the romance out of what should be moments of private romantic honeymoon time. I wonder why they chose to have cameras on their honeymoon?

  4. Weren't the they ones who put one of those "love locks" on the bridge in Paris....after officials announced that you weren't supposed to do that, and that they were going to have to spend big bucks to have people remove the locks because it was damaging the bridge?

    1. No they weren't.

    2. Yes they did put a lock on that bridge, three years ago, but Paris only made the announcement THIS year that the weight of the locks was damaging the bridge.

    3. I'm positive I heard about that lock problem years ago, as the OP said. Even if they hadn't put a full-force ban in place at that point, it was evident long ago that the number of locks there was harming the bridge. The Seewalds should not have added to the number and the producers should not have allowed it to happen.

    4. I can find articles dating back more than 3 years, saying that the locks were a problem then.

  5. What I remember is not complimentary to the Duggars.

There are signs everywhere in St. Mark's Square in Venice that warn people to NOT FEED the pigeons. It is against the law. You are suppose not to careful about even how you throw away any food you may have.

The signs are in several languages, including English, with warnings saying the cost of the fines

And yet, these two Americans were filmed feeding the pigeons as of the rules do not apply to them!! When you are in a foreign country, you obey their laws.

    1. It wasn't the Duggars, it was the Seewalds.

    2. Maybe the laws have changed since they were there.

    3. How do you know that they didn’t get permission because of filming? They were on their honeymoon. Maybe they didn’t even notice the signs.

    5. Anon @ 4:26 I was in Venice last summer and you are correct about the signs all around St Marks Square. I am afraid the Duggars re enforced the stereotype the rest of the world has about Americans abroad, loud and obnoxious (please note I said stereotype most americans are very courteous and respectful of other countries and cultures). In London Jimbob thought he was being funny trying to get a guardsman to laugh even Michelle seemed embarassed. As you say when abroad you obey the same laws and rules the locals do.

    6. They never seem to know how to behave properly in foreign countries, and they try to make it be funny for the show. But I don't find that amusing at all.

    7. I was in Venice at about the same time as the Seawalds and the signs were there in St. Mark's Square. It does not matter if they were on their honeymoon or not, you obey the laws of the land. I assume they can read English. If they got permission, that is still not acceptable. Why should they get preferential treatment over the thousands of other couples who spend their honeymoon in Venice?

If you visit another country, you must remember you are a guest. She should follow all the laws plus conduct yourself properly.

  6. this makes me miss the Duggars even more - I contact TLC at least once a day to let them know my family wants the Duggars back on TLC (well we want them on tv - we would prefer a different network but will watch TLC if they have the Duggars) If TLC would bring a show with all of the family back on it I know it would be a hit - 19 kids was one of the highest rated if not the number one rated show on TLC before they canceled it to make the haters happy.

    1. Me too! I especially loved to see Michelle's parenting skills and miss watching them now. Counting on is okay as a show, but because it doesn't focus on parenting it is less appealing to me. Sure hope they bring it back!!

just to remind everyone the above link is for contacting TLC about bringing the show back. we need to use our voice because the haters sure use their voice and they do not want Christians on television. let TLC know that we do want Christians on their network!

    1. I used to watch the show, and have watched Counting On some of the time when it's not a repeat. However, It tires me that there is an attitude about any possible cancellation of this show being about Christian haters. I am NOT Christian, or even Catholic, and it seems as if some of these comments may come from those who don't respect anyone other than Christians. Please remember that each of us has our own way of praying, and we don't all push only one G-d. This is a wholesome show, but it's really not about religion.

    2. You use the word "haters" quite liberally and judgmentally. People have many different reasons for thinking the Duggars do not belong on TV and I don't think hatred is a common thread. Personally, I do not believe the privacy of minor children should be compromised- it doesn't matter who their parents are. Filming your children for public consumption is not the type of behavior I associate with being a Christian. If you truly care about this family and the next generation, why would you condone and advocate for the continued exploitation of their children in this way?

    3. Maybe the Duggars decided not to put the little kids on tv to give them a different kind of life then the older ones had. Just a thought! I would like to see the whole family on Tv if it is the right decision!
