Derick Pulled from 'Counting On'

 Jill and Derick Dillard

TLC has released a statement regarding Derick's future on the show. For those who are not aware of what "personal statements" TLC is referring to, Derick has publicly shared his views against transgenderism, while mentioning the TLC program I am Jazz, which follows the life of transgender teen Jazz Jennings. Here is the statement:

We want to let our viewers know that Derick Dillard has not participated in Counting On for months and the network has no plans to feature him in the future. We want to reiterate that Derick's personal statements do not reflect the views of the network. TLC is proud to share the story of Jazz Jennings and her family and will continue to do so.

  1. No! This can't be! First Josh, and now Derrick's being "removed" from the Show!
It might just be about time The Duggars moved on over to UP TV!

  2. Shame on TLC for taking Derick off Counting On just for sharing his views. Jazz Jennings show should be taken off the air, it's a bad. TV show for kids to watch and gives kids bad ideas and that they want shows like that on TV. I would never watch a show like that!!!

  3. So basically as usual, people can criticize the Duggars as much as they want but if the Duggars try to criticize anyone else, then they are doing wrong. Seems like intolerance to me. It's persecution is what it is.

    ReplyDelete
  4. I don't want to watch TLC anymore. They are not teaching anything that I want to learn. It's not God honoring material. It's been that way for some years now.

    ReplyDelete
  5. I think christians should love and accept all people, even if they don't agree with their lifestyle. We should leave the judgment to GOD because we are all sinners.

    ReplyDelete
  6. When and how did Derick share his views?

    ReplyDelete
  7. "Has not participated in Counting On for months" and "has no plans to feature him in the future." Is that code for "he's fired"??? And what about Jill? Is she in this same category?

    ReplyDelete
  8. Way to go TLC! That’s the right, loving reaction I expected from them. Hopefully this will teach Derick a thing or two about acceptance and love.

    ReplyDelete
  9. I'm glad TLC made a statement. Although it doesn't explain everything, like whether this hiatus is temporary or permanent, and whether Jill will be allowed on the show again or not. Or if there will even be a show after this! No Derick, no Josh...that's two major strikes against the show. The writing should be on the wall.

  10. No more "Why punish the whole family for the actions of one" comments needed here. How many more "mistakes" will these people make before it's obvious that none of them deserve to be given a platform on TV?

    ReplyDelete
  11. So sad that Derek won't be on counting on & TLC won't put him on the show but the network said was that Derek's personal statements do not reflect the views of the network. But to be honest Derek said was he don't believe in transgenders Don't get me wrong I love the Duggars I don't believe in everything they do but they are a good family. I don't have a problem with Transgenders at all. I see clips of Jazz Jennings on YouTube seems like she is a nice girl. But How does Jill feel when her husband Derek gets pulled from the show? I would be crushed as well If I don't see Jill on the show too.

  12. Glad he won’t be returning to Counting On. A person can have their opinions and views about something, but when you go on the internet and go after a person who you don’t agree with is uncalled for and will have consequences.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Too bad tlc because he happens to be 100% correct did it not dawn on you that this is a show about fundamentalist Born Again Christians???? Why Is everyone so stunned when he speaks Biblical TRUTH????

    ReplyDelete
  14. So you can be a transgender and have a show but if you have an opinion about that show you will not be allowed on TLC. who's to say whose beliefs are right or who's wrong , but they are just that their own personal beliefs while both shows are controversial(in some ppl's minds) you shouldn't be punished for making a statement again it's their own personal opinion everybody is human

    ReplyDelete
  15. People have a right to say what they want... if Jazz don't want some one talking about her she should not be on T V ... I don't like her show so I chose not to watch it ....and I like Derick on the show !!!

    ReplyDelete
  16. This is insane What happened to the Christians and their beliefs Well as far as im concerned TLC dont deserve to have him

    ReplyDelete
  17. Clearly there is freedom of speech as long as what you’re saying goes along with the politically correct norm. Soon as you say something personal that doesn’t agree with the wide agenda and special interest groups you all of a sudden no longer have a voice isn’t that wonderful glad I don’t live in America

    ReplyDelete
  18. While I support Jazz, I also support Derick Dillard's right to sound his opinion as well. Both individuals should have the right to peacefully express themselves.

    ReplyDelete
  19. whatever happened to freedom of speech.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Sad to know that Derick has been pulled from the show because he had the courage to speak up about his views regarding transgenderism. It is free speech for all until you have a differing or opposing view. Proud of you Derick.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Good will be seen for Evil, and evil for good. At this point has no redeeming value, the Duggar's ought to leave the network. There is no light left to be seen. TLC has obviously shown that it will defend its other shows and sacrifice the Duggar's one by one to the PC culture until the show is gone.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Whatever happened to freedom of speech.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Hmm, I guess only one viewpoint is acceptable? Is there no room for opposing views? I don't get my opinions from TV, and people who act on these shows should ALL be respected, and aired. I think most people can tolerate more than one opinion.

    ReplyDelete
  24. no freedom of speech or choice? he has the right to his beliefs too.

    ReplyDelete
  25. While I don't necessarily believe the same as Derrick, I think his personal beliefs should be just that personal...a double edged sword maybe though because I guess he is in a way a face of TLC simply by his participation in the show...I'm saddened that I wont see him on it anymore and wonder how that will affect Jill's story in the show..TG

    ReplyDelete
  26. He has rights like the Nfl footplayers. And that Jazz program is JUST WRONG AND DISCUSTING

    ReplyDelete
  27. Unfollowing TLC, We love Jill and Derrick. We Stand with Jill and Derrick on the right to have an opinion.
We dont want to be a part of anything that blocks the freedom of religious

    ReplyDelete
  28. Derick being removed is rediclious, THIS IS AMERICA. Free speach.

    ReplyDelete
  29. He has a right to his views as much as any one else. I. don't believe transgender is"correct" in any way, and will not watch the show. I would dare TLC to stand for"right" instead of culturally popular.

    ReplyDelete
  30. DON'T worry Derrick, TCL Network is not. Christian and don't understand the values that we have with the Lord. I wish I can watch the Duggars, seewalds, vuolos,Forsyths family in a Christian Network because TCL gives a lot of things that are not good for us to be parts of like 5 wifes, transgender, homosexuals and things that as Christians shouldn't participate.Derick keep telling the Truth of the gospel, I'm proud Of you God is with you, God bless you, Jill and your two children.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Why can't Derick have an opinion, other do on this network, why boot him? Everyone knows he's a Christian and he believes what the Bible says. Don't boot him, that isn't fair.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I don’t know what he is suppose to have said but Derrick has as much right to his opinion and being able to state that opinion as Jazz has. I don’t appreciate TLC taking him off because of his honesty. Makes me want to boycott TLC!

    ReplyDelete
  33. They should have their youtube channel and vlog. Love the Dillards and the Duggars... I am sad to hear this but I am not surprised because the world despises christian values

    ReplyDelete
  34. No freedom of speech around TLC.

    ReplyDelete
  35. It is perfectly ok to discriminate against a Christian's beliefs but they have shows about young kids that are gay, transgender ect who slam Christians with the most vile and hatefilled language and nothing is done about that.

    Shame on TLC!

I wish Counting On would move to the UP network.

As for this Catholic,I will not be silenced on my beliefs and standing up for what is morally right.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Freedom of speech does not equal freedom from consequences. Derick had the right to freely express his opinions on a public forum (which he did), and TLC made the decision to freely exercise their rights as a business and terminate Derick’s contract. No rights were violated here. TLC made the right choice - they’ve always been respectful of the Duggars expressing their personal beliefs and religious views, but it’s another story to single-out a child featured on their network. I’ve always been a fan of the Duggars, but Derick crossed a line.

    ReplyDelete
  37. It is really to bad that a man can not give his opinion and keep his job. Just because he does not agree with the networks opinion on this matter. I feel that TLC is discriminating against his Christian values.

    ReplyDelete
  38. These two couple deserve to be on counting on why take Derrick off the show he didn't do anything wrong your not being pacific and explainNing why he has to be removed it's very devastingthatyou takeaway good people off the show the family should be devast ate from this news and I am as well please keep him on the show thank you

    ReplyDelete
  39. I think you all should find a Christian station to air you program so you and your fans won't be supporting this biased network.

    ReplyDelete
  40. TLC is in the right in letting Derrick Dillard go from counting on. His views on the subject to which he spoke should have been kept to himself or should not have pointed to a specific person, especially one that TLC also airs.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I’m glad TLC have made a statement - I personally love both shows
We are Christian who have a gay child (I know not transgender) but we have really been sustained by 2 things - the first by Our Lords 2nd great commandment that you should love your neighbour as yourself and we are all made in God's image
It will be a bit sad and hopefully we do continue to follow Jill/Derick's journey with their mission in Central America and their family's story as we have loved this

    ReplyDelete
  42. I agree with Derrick. Jazz needs a psychiatrist not exploitation that puts money in TLC's pocket

    ReplyDelete
  43. what ever happened to `love thy neighbour` so sad x

    ReplyDelete
  44. So you can express your views but no one else can express theirs if you don't agree with them. Isn't that contrary to what this country is supposed to be about?

    ReplyDelete
  45. do,s this mean your staying on air oh i do hope so i love the family, i just wish we was not so far behind here in the UK i try and keep up to date by watching on you tube if they have not been deleted only 1 i have missed and gutted about is Joy and Austins full wedding. i wish you could bring the weddings out on dvd so we can buy them in the UK take care god bless from England

    ReplyDelete
  46. Derick is entitled to his own personal belief. As is Jazz. His comments may have been insulting but TLC is insulting Derick by not allowing him to express his own beliefs and convictions. Why? Jazz is being allowed to express his beliefs. Clearly, it’s offensive to some. However, he isn’t being punished.
We are none the same friends. God made us all different. The sooner we all can hold Hands rather than drop one, the sooner we all may be open to the “Hope” God has so unselfishly offered us all. Praying this can be resolved in a way that honors God and is respectful to all. Derick has been a blessing to this family and many. Think about it TLC. It really makes no sense. Both should be allowed to freely express their genuine hearts, TLC is awesome. TLC should be neutral on such things. Demand respectfulness...not one certain belief.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Good. I find Derick's world view divisive, narrow, judgemental and one sided. He does not represent all Christians. Eileen

    ReplyDelete
  48. Stay strong in God Derrik, stand with what is right in Gods eyes

    ReplyDelete
  49. There is speaking your truth and then there is being unkind. Derick was unkind. No matter what his views on transgenderism taking on a minor the way he did was wrong. Christ loves Jazz just the way she is, as someone who states he wants to dedicate is life to serving as a missionary spreading the word.....it’s my belief you spread love not hate.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Wait a minute....you take someone off of a show for expressing his/her "personal views" while keeping another show who are expressing their own "personal views" on their show? Isn't this discrimination? Looks like it's time for me to express my own "personal view" and limit what I watch on TLC or just not watch TLC at all.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I'm thankful Derrick has kept his stand regardless of the consequences! God bless you Derrick.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Wow.
Even if you don't agree with the lifestyle, take the feelings of others in to concern. If it does not personally affect you...leave it alone.
    Still loving Counting On.
    Sharon from SC

  53. Sad when he can't say how he feels. Shame on you TLC

    ReplyDelete
  54. Was the First Amendment repealed, or something? Obviously TLC thinks it was.

    ReplyDelete
  55. it's a sad world we live in where sin is celebrated and Godliness is condemned.

    ReplyDelete
  56. What happened to Free Speech? If the NFL players can take a knee while working and site the 1st amendment, why can't Derick?Seems like a double standard here.Only Christians must be silent. But everyone else can speak their mind, especially hollywood. This is too much control over people.Thought Police will be next, can't regulate people's thoughts and beliefs. We as Americans have a right to our individual beliefs and not be penalized for it.You knew Derick was a Christian when you started the series, why the surprise on his stand? When Jazz speaks about people of a different mindset, that's ok? Where is the equality? You at TLC are a bunch of hypocrites. You say everybody needs to be heard, except those that do not agree with you.I will not be watching TLC any longer.

    ReplyDelete
  57. They ought to go on up network

    ReplyDelete
  58. I was looking forward to see Samuel's birth, and how the Dillards are doing. Derrick did stand up for what's true and right, and he did it non-maliciously. When we take a stand for the truth, we are bound to come up against the other side of immorality and untruth.

    ReplyDelete
  59. This is ridiculous. Since when do we live I no Country that’s if we don’t have the popular views, we are punished and cast aside. He is entitled to his opinion and has every right to be honest about his feelings on the subject. TLC knowingly puts the Duggars in these situations to boost ratings. Everyone knows that their religious views would not have a favorable view of transgenderism. While I believe that it is not our place to judge anyone, it is his right to speak honestly about how he feels on the subject. If the Duggar kids were smart they would get out now before TlC finds another “ratings booster”.

    ReplyDelete
  60. I stand wth his right to speak his mind. I love (not!) how liberal TV gives voice to alternate views until they disagree with them. Isn't that the basis of censorship?

    ReplyDelete
  61. Everyone has their opinions. Derick feels strongly about his. Although I don't agree with it I fo not hold him against his. I think it is wrong for you to pull him from the show. No one is going to agree on everything.

    ReplyDelete
  62. When did it become a crime to voice your opinions or share your beliefs? It seems to me that if you're a christian and voice how you believe, even in a non derogatory manner, you will be condemned for it.I believe that God created me and if he intended for me to be different than how I was born, then I would've been born that way ! I try not to judge people on this because I am not God,but I do pray for people and ask for guidance in these circumstances. God bless you Derick and Jill !

    ReplyDelete
  63. TLC,I don't watch Jass either because of my beliefs, but I am thankful for good programming like Counting On, The Putmans, The Busbys,Little Couple, Little People Big World and such.

    ReplyDelete
  64. I will have to agree with Derick on his beliefs. There are a few sugar-coating and the life styles of celebrities, honestly I don't want to see the wrath of G_d on those who aren't living and following Him. Stop building up people who do not contribute to society.

    ReplyDelete
  65. I AGREE with Derrick. Why push things that people don't care to watch.

    ReplyDelete
  66. It’s none of his business. I’ve watched the Duggers since they first aired with 13 Kids and counting. Ive always supported and adored this family. The audience knows where they stand. The viewers just want to catch up with everyone. See how they’re doing. We know their personal views. But to attack another human for what they do. That’s questionable. Very questionable. I know the only commandment Jesus handed down to gentiles, yes gentiles. Is to walk in love. Love. If one is walking in love they don’t criticize another’s lifestyle. They love them. LOVE them. FYI That’s putting another person first. You can go to someone person to person to discuss your issues with their life. Putting Jazz on full blast was a very political and selfish move. Because it wasn’t out of love. No it wasn’t. The opposite of love is selfishness. That was really selfish. Selfish.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Hang in there. God bless your family. Everyone has a opinion and it is sad sometimes these days we are not able to express our options. Jesus died for our sins and is the only one that should ever judge anyone.

    ReplyDelete
  68. So TLC feels that if your opinion is different than others, you will be censured or released grom your show? So much for free speech.

    ReplyDelete
  69. I believe everyone has the right to there beliefs Derick has his rights just like,Jazz does. Your wrong in not putting Derrick on the show. He is a great young man and good father Shame on TNX

    ReplyDelete
  70. I totally disagree with this. Its ok for the joke of a show like Jazz to put their so called veiws out there, but Derek Dillard is not allowed to share his. This is what I can't stand about TLC. I wish the Duggareds would go to another channel

    ReplyDelete
  71. I am sorry this has happened to your family. It's a sad day when you are not able to have freedom of speech and religion without getting backlash. I do wish your show were on another network such as UP. TLC is mostly trash. May the Lord continue to be with you and keep you! God bless you and your family, I will continue to pray for you all.

    ReplyDelete
  72. I agree with Derrick. God created both male and female...each according to their kind. Sin and the evil in this world has distorted God's creation and made a mockery of it. God still loves and died for each soul on this earth and He still wants to restore relationships and forgive mankind of their sin. But you need to come to the foot of the cross and seek forgiveness and redemption. Some day we all must stand before Him as judge...and whether we rejected His Son or accepted Him as personal Savior. I stand with the Duggers and Derrick. TV fame is not eternal...Life with Jesus is!

    ReplyDelete
  73. God Bless Derick Dillard for speaking out against this. Stand with him all the way!! Haven't visited a Target store since their new policy on bathroom use and I won't until they change it - that's my stand - stay strong Derick!!!

    ReplyDelete
  74. So sad to hear that TLC has taken the LOW road. We are living in a Topsy Turvy world. It seems what's wrong is right, and what's right is wrong. We have become a depraved nation, God help us. We love you Derick.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Well TLC is a family channel, and so it should not be “proud” to share a story about transgenderism. What evil is the world coming to. The Duggars show is the only show on your network that actually displays Christian values. You are making a HUGE mistake pulling this young man off the show just because he doesn’t agree with transgenderism. HELLO most of your viewers don’t either!! And whatever happened to Derick’s freedom of speech?! Oh yeah, I forgot that Christians aren’t allowed freedom of speech!! But TLC is okay with teaching young kids about how to change their gender. SICK.

    ReplyDelete
  76. You can make Jazz happy but I will not watch the show. Derick can voice is opinion because many of us feel the same as he does. You are giving this person Jazz her platform and denying Derick his voice. Good bye TLC.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Then why keep taking tlc money if don't believe in the show. Seems hypocritical you take money from tlc.

    ReplyDelete
  78. I expected that. I hope Jill and the kids can still be on.

    ReplyDelete
  79. I think that if people don't like what he said then they won't watch it. Most people know what the beliefs are on this show so why is it a problem for them to speak how they believe. Media always wants to shut the Christian up but never cares what everyone else says about the Christian. Sad that TCL has to feel that they can't have Derek on T.V
because of his thoughts about this subject. Derek glad to hear that you spoke how tou felt. God speed......

    ReplyDelete
  80. too bad I really like Derrick and if that is his belief then so be it,he allowed to express his belief the samie as anyone else, he wasn't,t mean or judgemental about

    ReplyDelete
  81. This is unfortunate. I'd rather watch any digger show over most of the shows on tlc. Maybe you all should find a different tv network to use because you all are amazing.

    ReplyDelete
  82. What makes his personal comments wrong to be denied and those who oppose him right? That is discrimination against his Christian values which is what the show is based on?

    ReplyDelete
  83. Everyone in this country has a right to free speech. TCL may loose some viewers over the fact that they are cutting him from the show.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Is this part of the reason there has been such littler coverage about the birth of their baby?

    ReplyDelete
  85. Shame on you TLC.... DERICK DILLARD has just as much right to his opinion as you on matters of the transgenderism. I support Derrick Dillard. All you had to do is post your statement TLC

    ReplyDelete
  86. So basically if people have a opinion different than one that TLC agrees with then you won't post it because if he doesn't agree with transgenderism than you cut him from the show is what this is sounding like. So where does freedom of speech or being able to think differently come into play.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Of course they did, and if "Jazz" or any other star, ever spoke against the Duggar lifestyle or Christianity, nothing would be done. I guarantee it.

    ReplyDelete
  88. While I don't agree with everything the Digger Family does, I do believe everyone has a right to express his or her own opinion. Derrick did not make a personal attack against an individual but only made a statement surrounding the circumstances. Libral groups or individuals make their opinions known and attack quite visciously with no repercussions. Why aren't conservative views given the same opportunity? TLC dropped the ball on this one!

    ReplyDelete
  89. TLC, You need to be aware that you have just lost my family, extended family and friends and loyal followers who will boycott your programming. This is a backwards society and television seems to have relied to heavy on not hurting anyone’s feelings except those of us who do share common sense and moral values.

    ReplyDelete
  90. what has happened to freedom of speech?

    ReplyDelete
  91. Mental disease isn't supposed to be glamorized. It's sad they help this poor mentally unstable child live out the fairytale of transgenderism. Shame on TLC for promoting it as something real.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Derrick....thank you for standing up for truth!

    ReplyDelete
  93. Go Derick! A true Christian is going to say what the bible says........ I am sure you can support your family nicely without TLC. They are so afraid of defending weirdos they destroy the best money maker they have- The Dugger family. Go forth and prosper my brother.......

    ReplyDelete
  94. I will no longer watch TLC. He has a right to his opinion just as well as anyone else. I agree with him on the subject. Shame on you for pulling him off. This is one of the best shows you have on. The other ones are horrible. I am Jazz I do not watch nor do I intend to. I do not believe in transgender. TLC you are destroying the good and bring on the sick. You have lost one viewer and I'm sure you will lose more. Counting On is about family values, faith and so much more and yet you would rather destroy it.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Everyone is intitlrd to there own opinion. you don't through him off the shoe just because he expressed his . I love the show Jazz and I will keep on watching this I am sure Jazz has helped a lot of people. they are a beautiful family

    ReplyDelete
  96. I think the Duggars and extended families should search for another network to host them. How many compromises should they make on their views and being able to express their beliefs off the show? I'm assuming the rest of the family probably has similar beliefs. Many people do ... but any commentary, any questioning a child's choice to change gender, is now "transphobic" and said to be oppressive. Derick raised some questions and concerns that are on many minds but most aren't allowed to express these thoughts without being perceived as fearful bigots.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Guess this is why, I quit watching TLC. Nobody can have their OWN opinions anymore. I stand with Derick Dillard!

    ReplyDelete
  98. Totally ridiculous. Derrick cant use his rights as an american to speak freely. Yet tlc wants us to support a boy who wants rights to be a girl.. crazy world we are living in. Yes the duggars have their flaws but they are human just like the rest of us.

    ReplyDelete
  99. I had not heard any statements from him. Thank you for the explanation for his disappearance on the show. I hope you will continue to feature the rest of the family.

    ReplyDelete
  100. The complete family should walk away from TLC! Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs unless you are a Christian. I applaud the family for standing strong in a world where anything goes. Carry on Duggars!

    ReplyDelete
  101. Best wishes to Derick! As a christian it can be hard to stand up for what you believe in but thats what we are called to do. It may of came off as rude but I know that he meant it in a loving way!

    ReplyDelete
  102. That is so wrong on so many levels, Derrick you hang in there buddy, you are in the right and I would offer no apologies for an opinion! TLC you should be ashamed, Derrick has EVERY right to his opinion!

    ReplyDelete
  103. So, Jazz can voice her/his opinion on TCL But Derick is not allowed the same? Hmmm, what is that?

    ReplyDelete
  104. So no one else is allowed to have an opinion? This is kind of one sided, don't ya think? I'm sure Counting On has a far greater audience than Jazz, which will probably come back to bite you! Reference to Target. My family and I won't be watching ANYTHING on TLC again if your choice is to out cast the normal to justify the abnormal... Really hope you rethink this one!

    ReplyDelete
  105. So everyone else can speak their views but Christians can't ??? Way to go TLC..one more nail in ur coffin. LOVE the Duggars....it's for new network!

    ReplyDelete
  106. I think everyone is intitled to there on opinion. He was just stating his beliefs. Also, I am sure you all have said things that offended others. Seriously.

    ReplyDelete
  107. What a shame. Hope that Jill, and boys will continue being a part of Counting on, although I am thinking that Jill would not want to if Derick isn't involved and her views are the same as his.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Well, I do not agree with the show, so I don't watch it. You are what God made you. I just really don't understand that life choice. I don't think Derick was in the wrong for his personal opinion.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Dear TLC, please reinstate Derick to the show Counting on and stop punishing him for his beliefs and stop denying him his Right to Free Speech. Just an FYI, I know and anyone knows, that when we the public choose to watch ANY show, that people have a right to their opinions and are not the necessarily the views of the television network per say. TLC needs to just put a statement at the beginning and/ or end of every show they air from now on that says "the views of this show do not reflect the views of this television network". By doing this, you allow people their rights as Americans to Free Speech. Just a thought to consider.

    ReplyDelete
  110. I am not surprised. You can't criticize another show on TLC and think they wouldn't do anything. TLC is a business after all. At least Jill hasn't been pulled as well due to his comments.

    ReplyDelete
  111. I think Derrick should be allowed his opinion. I would like to see freedom of speech exercised. Maybe "Iam Jazz" should be off the air. It is very offensive and not a good example for the youth.

    ReplyDelete
  112. When did we lose our Freedom of Speech rights? He never said that they were your Liberal TLC views. You are pathetic. Keep on speaking from your heart Derek.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Thank you Derick for standing by your beliefs.

    ReplyDelete
  114. I am surprised that the Duggers would even continue to associate themselves with TLC considering the type of programming they are continuing to add. We don't even watch that channel any more because of it. Other then Counting On of coarse.

    ReplyDelete
  115. It is so sad that one side can state their beliefs but the other side can not! Biased tv. I love this family and what they stand for. Just because he is against something does not mean anything more than someone who is for something. Why not let both sides be able to share.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Good for Derrick! I feel the same way! It is not the norm and to treat it as such is WRONG! TLC should be ashamed of themselves to leave Derrick out because he has different views. Everyone has a right to their views and opinions and to punish anyone for that is ridiculous!

    ReplyDelete
  117. So if you're against something in n this country you can choose whether or not you want them in your show? So they don't have a voice or an opinion? So you just take his opinion out. So you are taking away Derrick's right to have an opinion? He can't think the way he wants because you want to look a certain way to the public. That's reverse discrimination. This country is getting to where you can't have a biblical view or you are discriminated against. God's coming soon. I hope you people are ready!

    ReplyDelete
  118. Good for him for standing by his convictions. Transgenderism goes against God's word in the Bible. I will not watch Jazz or any program with homosexuals. Counting On is one of the few programs that is safe to watch.

    ReplyDelete
  119. So if Jazz were to express an opinion against the Duggar lifestyle, would he be cut? Just wondering, everyone has an opinion.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Shame on TCL for not upholding Derick's right to express his personal opinions. Why can't he say what he thinks? He didn't say it on the show. This family is a. Christian family expressing Christian beliefs. If TCL expects the Duggar family to stop being believers then why do they have their show on?

    ReplyDelete
  121. Thank you Derrick for standing on the Word of God. You are not of this world and you don’t need TLC.

    ReplyDelete
  122. So TCL is going to sensor everything that reality personalities say? Where is the reality in that? I am not debating rather he should or should not have said what he did, I am attempting to say that he has the right to say what he believes even if it is not politically correct. We have turned into a nation that thinks that every one has to like us and what we do all the time and curb others free speech.

    ReplyDelete
  123. Oh good grief!!! Whether for or against transgenderism, everyone has opinions. This is suppose to be a reality show and this just proves another one that is "scripted," and I think viewers are getting so tired of that! In a perfect world, everyone would be so sweet and kind and this world would be a much better place, but we know the "Dugger," family is real and that they have got to have disagreements, ect. Stop claiming these are "reality," shows. With this show, I know I am personally growing weary of the ALWAYS, sweet & kind 24/7 portrayal. Stop "scripting," and show the REAL!

    ReplyDelete
  124. Then in support of Derick Jill, at least, should maybe leave the show too. I am proud of him for taking a stand.

    ReplyDelete
  125. I am quite put out with TLC. I share Derrick Dillard's views. I seems that anyone who opposes the views of the left and transgender are shut out. God does not make a mistake when we were formed in the womb. Scripture says we are fearfully and wonderfully made.

    ReplyDelete
  126. He has the right to his opinion just as Jazz has a right. You are trying to silence those that disagree with the unfortunate Liberal antics our country is facing

    ReplyDelete
  127. TLC u make me nauseous. Derrick has a right to speak against transfender just as much as u have the right to approve it. I stand with Derrick. You are what u are born. All the surgeries in the world is not going to change the fact that GOD made u man or woman. God dont make mistakes!

    ReplyDelete
  128. Freedom of speech. I dont watch I am jazz and won't. I believe you shouldn't promote that when he wasn't even 18. Is TLC promoting that show. Are y'all paying for his surgeries

    ReplyDelete
  129. Part of life is being able to voice your opinion. Not everyone will agree with others. It bothers me more that TLC would censor someone's opinion and penalize them for it instead of using it as an example of life.

    ReplyDelete
  130. I applaud Derick for standing up for many of our TRUE feelings!

    ReplyDelete
  131. Its a shame people can't speak, without getting booted off a show. We should be able to speak. Come quickly Lord come quickly.

    ReplyDelete
  132. I am very upset by this. Jazz has made comments back to Derrick. And yes I understand she is a minor. I am just tired of TV/Cable channels telling their stars what they can and cannot believe in. And what they can and cannot say to the public.

    ReplyDelete
  133. It is a sad statement representation of America when a person is no allowed to speak unless it fits the "anything goes", "if it feels good do it", there are no rights or wrongs", no moral standards". Sickening. I believe the world would be a much better place if it were populated with more people who have moral standards.

    ReplyDelete
  134. Go Derick! Respect your biblical stance and courage.

    ReplyDelete
  135. I wish you guys would be picked up by another Network! It’s so unfair that perversion and filth is ok to air but Christian Morals and pro family isn’t! It’s sad that this is the society we live in! Praying for your family!

    ReplyDelete
  136. I respect Dericks Opinon I belive the same way I just don't watch. If it is alright to be that way why push your life on everybody else. you try to make people believe the same as you.tlc.

    ReplyDelete
  137. Derick might thinks whatever he wants of transgenderism but being rude and disrespectful to a teenager was wrong.Bullying someone is never ok, especially a child!

    ReplyDelete
  138. You should be proud of Derick for standing for values.I used to like TLC they had some good programs, but it seems now they showing things that are not of good moral values.

    ReplyDelete
  139. Ilove (sarcasm intended) how it's only okay to voice your opinion if others agree. I'm so sick of tv yanking people off of the show, just because they voiced an opinion.

    ReplyDelete
  140. Which means anything we disagree with the show Jazz won't be answered . Only if it has to do with liking that show Jazz. Now who's being insulting. TLC isn't capable of disagreeing with stories that affect our children. So sad that you'll take sides also. Read the bible people.

    ReplyDelete
  141. I agree with derick.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Stand up for your beliefs Derick!

    ReplyDelete
  143. Free speech, the first amendment?? Sure, a person has the freedom to have their own opinion/view unless of course you don’t like it. Shame on you TLC !!

    ReplyDelete
  144. Why are the Duggars still working with TLC? The majority of shows on that network are absolute filth.

    ReplyDelete
  145. So he shared his views. This is suppose to be a free country. Shame on TLC.

    ReplyDelete
  146. I don't think it is wise for TLC to pull Derrick from the show. As it is we don't have all the family members and you can't just cut everyone you don't agree with. For some it is offensive for little boys to dress up as girls and pretend they are girls. To do this is say you know better then God, God does not bend to Man's will but Man should yield to God's will. We are also told not to judge so I don't know that it was right for Derrick to express his opinion publicly. God loves all and would welcome Derrick and this young man I'm sure.

    ReplyDelete
  147. I don't understand why he would go after someone that was on the same network as him and think that there was not going to be repercussions. How did he not relize the conflict of interest?

    ReplyDelete
  148. Well, I don't care what TLC has to say. Derrick is right. He wasn't singling that little boy (I refuse to call that little boy a girl, he is a biy) out. Derrick was stating what he believes. How come when a Christian states his or her views, according to the Bible, it is hate? But when someone states their personal views, it is accepted? Derrick don't back down, stay strong in the Bible! Matt. 16:26

    ReplyDelete
  149. So TLC is surprised at his comments?

    ReplyDelete
  150. Keep standing up for what the Bible says, Derrick! Thanks for being a good example.

    ReplyDelete
  151. So he isn’t allowed an opinion, or to voice any opinion that doesn’t gel with the liberal broadcasting practices of a cable network? Welcome to America where freedom is bragged about AND DENIED!

    ReplyDelete
  152. Please keep in mind Derick was NOT pulled from the show for being a Christian. This is NOT a case of Christian Persicutiin. Derick was disrespectful to his co workers and employees on social media. There is nothing wrong with having an opinion and voicing it. We have freedom of speech but are not free of the consequences. In every day life people get fired from thier jobs if they voice thier disdain for fellow co workers and their employer. Derrick did just that. So see, it's not Christian persecution!

    ReplyDelete
  153. So...everyone has freedom of speech unless your a Christian and you stand up for your beliefs??? Very disappointed in TLC once again!!

    ReplyDelete
  154. That makes absolutely no sense! I watch this show because many of their beliefs are aligned with mine. I expect they would stand firm in their faith and not the world's! The people who align themselves with the other program have their own set of beliefs. Standing up for what you believe in does not mean you hate or fear that thing! I am so tired of the ignorance and cowardice of this society!

    ReplyDelete
  155. Well, now we'll never know what happened with Samuel.

    ReplyDelete
  156. Sad day that we are chastised for our opinions!! Derick has every right to express HIS opinions on HIS show. I agree with him & the morals of this show. I will be praying for guidance on watching future shows.
You are crucifying Christians more & more each day!!

    ReplyDelete
  157. I for one am proud of Derick for standing up for his beliefs. Counting On is a continuation of following the lives of the Duggar children & spouses who are Christian families & who express their beliefs. I really wish the UP Channel would pick up Counting On so they could get off of the TLC network and join the Bates. Counting On is the only program that I have watched on the TLC network in years. May the Lord continue to bless all of you!

    ReplyDelete
  158. Ridiculous!!!! Jazz can express her opinions and Derrick can’t? Sad perverted world we live in.

    ReplyDelete
  159. will counting on be renewed for season 7

    ReplyDelete
  160. At least he stood up for what is right and didn't let fame and fortune make his decisions for him. That's why I love this whole family. They mean it when they say that they love God!!

    ReplyDelete
  161. TLC may be proud to share Jazz's story but the Pediatric Medical Community says that allowing a child with gender confusion to make medical, physical and permanent changes to their body abuse. So you should be willing to share all views. Funny how Jazz's story is not offensive but Dericks is???

    ReplyDelete
  162. Good for you Derrick!

    ReplyDelete
  163. Good for him! We Christians need to start standing up more for what we believe. God bless you Derrick.

    ReplyDelete
  164. What happened to freedom of speach? I'm proud of you Derick! Keep up the good work.

    ReplyDelete
  165. Apparently freedom of speech isn't allowed on TLC. I just turn off something when it bothers me. Let me decide what I believe or don't. Everyone is different and are a compilation of all our personal experiences. Get over it TLC!! You're just showing it's all about the money...what a surprise...NOT!!

    ReplyDelete
  166. I agree with Derick. That is nasty if you are born a boy you are a boy if you born a girl you area girl freedom of speech

    ReplyDelete
  167. I wish the Duggars would stop renewing their contract with TLC and move over to UP TV with the Bates. They are more supportive of Christian Values!!

    ReplyDelete
  168. So only the people that agree with TLC can speak out! I don't believe in transgenderism either!

    ReplyDelete
  169. Giod for derrick, sorry if your born girl you are a girl if born boy you are a boy this is way God intended it to be.

    ReplyDelete
  170. Its a shame he can't have his own opinion. You could just say it doesn't reflect your views and still have him on. I like Derick Dillard!

    ReplyDelete
  171. I love this show and the family. I am just wondering why their show can't be on UP like The Bates Family or some other network? Why must they depend on TLC who has such issues with them. Other shows say negative things about Christians and no one makes some big statement like this and pull that person from a show.

    ReplyDelete
  172. If you were non bias....it would not matter what Derrick says....it is his right to have an opnion and to express it....same for Jazz....you ALLOW his transgender life sryle to be promoted OPENLY on your programs without hesitation...but not the otber side?? Why the double standard??

    ReplyDelete
  173. Well good for Derick! I hope Jill will support her husband and not go back to Counting On. TLC should have realized that having shows where the families have Biblical values that there's going to be disagreements. Truth be told none of the views expressed by Counting On or 19 Kids and Counting reflect the views of the network. TLC should have been adding a disclaimer before each episode saying so.

    ReplyDelete
  174. PTL!! Someone spoke out against that show. You know what's sad TLC? You have a right to put your opinion on the air but if someone is against it they will no longer be featured on their show!! Personally I think he'd be better off not being featured on the TLC channel!! When Counting On is done I will no long watch TLC. I think they need to go on a different channel. My opinion

    ReplyDelete
  175. You are entitled to express your opinion Derrick...don't let TLC intimadate you!! There are thousands of us who watch Counting On and turn the channel to avoid that other program.....

    ReplyDelete
  176. If its because of the comments of what he thinks, isn't that loss of his freedom of speech? That's not fair,we all have our own openions Pulling him just hurts the show.

    ReplyDelete
  177. Just as Jazz and her parents have the right to state their beliefs concerning Transgenders....PUBLICLY....So should Mr. Duggar have the same right!!! This is about the almighty dollar!!! Be careful TCL. You just may be harming yourself on this one and may loose followers of you from the beginning of your Channel on TV including this follower!!!

    ReplyDelete
  178. I'm proud of the Dillard's! I myself will not support anything that clearly defies God's word. Just because someone does not support a transgender show, does not mean they HATE Anyone.. It means they are Believing in God's word & not what MAN Believes!

    ReplyDelete
  179. I will boycott TLC, This show is about their family and their faith is a big part of their family and this is the reason. why I watch the show. So I will have to follow their blog because I will no longer watch TLC.

    ReplyDelete
  180. Makes sense now why Derek did not sit next to Ben, Jeremy and Austin at Joe's wedding.

    ReplyDelete
  181. So it is ok for a family to change the gender of their kids at such a young age and everyone is supposed to be ok with it, which I'm not! But not ok for Derrick too have freedom of speech for what he believes? You people (TLC) have your stuff backwards! I love Derrick and Jill and hope TLC brings Derrick back. If counting on is ever taken off the air I will never watch their station again.

    ReplyDelete
  182. All the trash they put on TV and everyone complains when a person disagrees on a very controversial thing. People can continue to disrespect our country and our flag and still be on TV. Why can't a person disagree on something without being taken off of the show?

    ReplyDelete
  183. Is Derrick not allowed to have his own opinion or is the opinion of others the only one allowed. I am with Derrick, share you opinion it is your and you are entitled to it.

    ReplyDelete
  184. This is wrong on so many levels. I believe Derick has the right to his opinion. I choose to not watch I am Jazz. If someone doesn't like Dericks opinion, they can choose to not watch their program. My guess would be that these 2 programs don't share viewers anyways. How dare they pull a strong Christian for sharing his personal beliefs. I have noticed that Ben isn't on as much either. What did he do wrong, pray?

    ReplyDelete

  185. So just to be clear, a TLC actor is not at liberty to have an opinion? Have you tried to facilitate a meeting between Jazz's family and the Dillards?

    ReplyDelete
  186. It's sad that one can't express their opinions without fear of losing one's job. That being said - one has to be discreet. It's not just about the transgender issue. Derick was criticizing a show created by TLC - the very network that employs through it's reality show his extended family - the Duggars. I hope that eventually they will show Derick now and again on the show. I don't want "Counting On" cancelled! I dearly hope that in social media at least the Duggars and their extended family will be thoughtful about what they say regarding controversial subjects! The Duggar shows, along with that of the Bates, are some of the few decent shows on television! I want to keep enjoying such shows!

    ReplyDelete
  187. His words are not offensive. I would continue to watch the show if it were on another channel. it's TLC I refuse to continue to watch

    ReplyDelete
  188. I dont think Derick and Jill are worried about TLC throwing them off the show. Watching TLC celebrate everything that goes against Christian values makes me feel proud of Derick for taking a stand no matter what the consequences were. Perhaps if more people stood up for our Christian values this Country wouldn't be going in the direction it's going.

    ReplyDelete
  189. WOW Jesus is coming soon. Everything is upside down.

    ReplyDelete
  190. I guess free speech is forever gone in our country.

    ReplyDelete
  191. Oh, for Pete' sake. I'm very liberal and his views don't bother me at all because this is rhe United States of America and the US Constitution allows us to express our opinions. Yes, this is the same Constituion that allows TLC to air shows that may be objectionable to many. Let's face it. You can't please all of the people all of the time. That's why I love my country. If others can't abide by the US Constitution, how can they call themselves true Americans? Our soldiers fight and die for those rights. Do not remove Derick Dillard from TLC or you'll just be a bunch of hypocrates.

    ReplyDelete
  192. Derrick I didn't read your comments but I feel once a male always a male. God still loves these people not their actions. These are the actions of people in the last days.

    ReplyDelete
  193. If I were the Duggers, I would pull out all together.

    ReplyDelete
  194. I do not think it is right that someone on a reality show has to monitor their opinions. Let the audience determine if they want to continue watching. By pulling Derick and even Josh we are not getting the reality of the Duggar. Do you really think Jill's opinion is different? I admire the Duggar family but not sure I am getting reality anymore. Also just to let you know I watch I am Jazz because I want to try and understand the transgender issue more fully.

    ReplyDelete
  195. I am proud of Derick standing up for Jesus Christ and his belief in Him. This life ends and it’s not TLC that we answer to, it will be God that we give an answer to.

    ReplyDelete
