More Wedding Pictures

Derick and Jill Dillard have been husband and wife for a week-and-a-half, and if you were to ask them how they are enjoying married life, they would probably tell you that the past ten days have been the best ten days of their lives.

The Dillards shared their first kiss at the altar and several more throughout the wedding reception.

At the wedding ceremony, Jill and Derick's attendants stood in pairs while the couple recited their vows.

All of Jill's sisters, as well as her sister-in-law and niece, were in the wedding party. Jana, Jinger, Jessa, Joy, Johannah, and Anna were bridesmaids, while Jennifer, Jordyn, Josie, and Mackynzie were flower girls. The four younger girls walked down the aisle ahead of Jill and then sat on the stage holding signs that read "Here Comes Your Bride."

Photos can be seen on the People Magazine Website

  22. Today Christian News mentioned that there might be a spin-off about Derick and Jill. Please, no. Let's let them have their own private lives and show up occasionally. I'd like to know how they're doing from time to time, but hounding them with cameras isn't necessary.

  23. Jennifer and Jordyn's faces look miserable!

  24. May The Lord bless and keep you both. May The Lord make his face to shine upon you and give you peace now and forever more. I've prayed for you both. You're an amazing role model for the young people of today. Continue to read the word together and enjoy each day.

  26. What's up with Jennifer & Jordyn? They look kinda glum while Makynzie apparently doesn't want her picture taken. Josie is smiling at least. I think the photographer needed to work a little harder at that shot! Their dresses & hair pieces are very pretty though.

  27. Oh it looks like it was a beautiful wedding. I can't wait to see the special (hopefully). Isn't God great? The whole family is so blessed and I feel blessed for finally having real role models for my family.

I doubt that the little girls were miserable. They are sitting at the front of the church in front of 1000 people, for the entire wedding service. From my past experience, weddings run around 45 minutes long. How excited would you expect two four year olds, a five year old, and a six year old child to look for a solid 45 minutes. I think Makynzie was just having fun showing off the sign in her hand and she got caught having it in front of her face for this one shot. The little girls are all sitting on that step at the front of the church while the service is going on, so these aren't planned professional photos where everyone has their attention focused for a photo session.

  35. Those little girls are precious, and their dresses are darling. Love the fabric and the style. Josie still looks raring to go but Jennifer and Jordyn look like they have had enough wedding for one day. What sweetie pies! As for the reason for the day, they are simply glorious! It's wonderful to get a glimpse into their big day.

  36. I wonder if they are going to live closer to Dericks family or Jills? I wish someone could tell us how the siblings are dealing with all this.Who took over Jills juresdictions?

  37. Everyone forgets about the boys, what about JohnDavid or Joseph? I hope they find someone soon too. I bet ya a million dollars that when they do it will be very private . Those young men are very shy. I wish them luck and pray they find sweet girls like their sisters and mother.;-)

  38. @AnonymousAs for Jennifer and Jordan looking glum, weddings are a very long day for some little ones, maybe they had no naps or didn't get a good night sleep or the snapshot was the best one. There's a number of reasons they might not look so chipper to some.I bet they thought Jill was leaving them forever, who really knows. They sure are adorable though;)

    ReplyDelete
  39. Jennifer said in a previous episode that she didn't want Jill to leave. Jill is her buddy and she will miss her. I think they are adorable and they are quite young. Sitting still for any length of time is difficult. I tried to find the pictures on People.com and had no luck any idea where they may be? Also I have seen that Josiah is missing a lot. Is he still at Alert Academy? What about that house John David was supposed to be working on? And Josh's car lots?

  44. Lily and Ellie,
When can you post the pictures you took at the wedding?

  45. I must admit, I'm a little nervous about all the changes I'm seeing with Jill and Jessa ... all the sleeveless tops, shorter skirts and now earrings! I understand that they are grown up and allowed to make their own decisions about such things. But I just wonder where the line will be drawn and how they make these decisions - particularly the fact that they are in opposition to what Michelle Duggar was convicted about with regard to makeup, jewelry and clothing. I have only just read in the Duggar girls' book that they would not wear sleeveless tops, or especially a sleeveless wedding gown. And now we have both. Just curious how this all was decided.

  46. Who gets Jill's bed in the girl's room? lol Perhaps little Miss Johanna will get to stencil her name on the footboard. Seems like just a little while ago I was watching that wonderful episode with the designer from NY. What a beautiful job that sweet lady did for this family as she helped them pull the house together. And now so many changes since then!
