Jana Duggar: 'Anna really is doing very well'

Check back in with the Duggars, Dillards, and Seewalds in the third and final segment of Jill & Jessa: Counting On, which airs tomorrow at 9pm ET/8pm ET on TLC.

Viewers will hear from Anna Duggar, receive an update on Jill and Derick Dillard's new life in Central America, and watch as Jessa Seewald is rushed to the hospital immediately after delivering Spurgeon Seewald.

"It's been a good opportunity to draw close to God," responds Anna Duggar when asked how she is doing (video preview below).

  1. Trials and tribulatons will definitely stop you in your tracks and you will fall on your knees seeking God like never before. Your world changes in an instant. I have been there many times. At that moment I shut out the world and everything around me. I was in a spirtual war. Drink the word of God with every breath. That is all we have. Literally. God gives us rest and answers. But it is not always easy. But it will without a doubt change you for the rest of your life. Use that experiance to glorify God. It is what the end looks like. God in his glory and nothing is to hard for our precious savior. You have a awesome support system set up for you, and God set you right where he knew you needed to be during this. Amen praying for all of you.

  2. I miss the show. Realizing they aren't a perfect family just normal people with normal life issues. Hopefully Josh is getting help as well as the ones who were hurt. I hate seeing people "kicked" when they are down. Just my thoughts on an unimaginable painful period for a family.

  3. I'm sorry I will not be able to see you and your family moving on in your lives, but I will continue to think and pray for strength and light for your families. Colleen

  4. My heart huts for Anna and her children. I know what it is to marry a man thinking he is Gods man and find out they are not all you thought he was. As Anna said this has brought her close to God. That is the most important part of life as I have learned. It all about being all God has called us to be and at times in life when it looks like we can't get through things Gods loves shines through and he becomes our everything. I pray God protects her heart.

  11. I'm so happy about the new show! I have them ready to tape. Anna I love you and I know that God will bring you out on top. Be strong in the Lord, put on the whole armour of God that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. You are not alone in this many women have suffered and are still suffering this very thing. The battle is the Lord's therefore put it in His hands. I'm praying for your husband as well. God is able to heal!

    2. What about Anna's parents? How come she isn't with them right now being loved and supported by her own family ( not family in laws)???

  16. Anna is not alone... I married a godly man... We have 6 beautiful children... Married 16 years... He also struggled and overcame a pornography addiction and alcoholism... It can be done... Took many hours of prayer and many more tears... Things are perfect but life is never perfect... Many times through people I thought were my friends planted and watered seeds of doubt, hopelessness and at one point divorce... Life's perfection only comes once we arrive in Heaven... No matter what any of us is going through... Hang on and pray! THERE IS ALWAYS HOPE!

  19. I'm not judging by any means, nor do I think I know the secret to happiness beyond betrail but there is one thing I'm sure of... I know God loves me and I love me, more then enough to know that if my true love and soul mate ever sought compassion outside our marriage, I love me enough to not give him the oppertunity to do it again. I'm sorry if this offends anyone, but if a husband/ wife loved the other at all they would never ever step into a position to be with someone besides their spouse... Rehab may help with the personal problems, but the betrail never leaves... They can still be a good parent, but I would love myself enough to move forward with the love and grace of God...

  20. Sugh a shame to punish the whole family for mistake of one. I am sure parents were devastated. It doesn't matter what your children do you still love them and hate choices they make. This family like every family is not perfect and do not deserve to be judged. They will survive on love and become closer. I hope they have a wonderful new year.

  21. PLEASE PLEASE we need more news about Michelle- the Mother I never had and wished I did - I am from a family of 13. God Bless this wonderful family! And my brother molested a much younger sister-not uncommon in LARGE families!

  24. Whenever God is in control of your life that spurs Satan to meddle. He has attacked your family in it's weakest spot but I know God will bring you all through this time of your lives with a stronger faith. Having everything in the open is the only way to start the healing. If we didn't have trials of faith we would just skate through and never get all that God has in store for us. I so admire your family for the strength of your faith and your dedication to staying true to God's will. I know His angels are ministering to your needs and keeping you in his Grace. Praying for Josh that he will be open to all that God wants to give him. Uplifting him in God's presence for God's glory to shine again through Josh's life. God will use this to touch alot of lives for the glory of God. Uplifting the whole family for His Glory and peace to surround you all. Praise be to God from whom all blessing flow! Josh will be a blessing to others again in the future! God will wash his heart clean and use him to honor God! I do miss seeing the show on tv!! God Bless you all!

  29. I hope Anna is okay. I feel for her. I am very skeptical of this program Josh is doing. Christianity is not a recovery program. He may not need recovery from a real addiction. He may just be a bad person. Not we-are-all-sinners bad but I-don't-care-whom-I-hurt bad.

    1. I could not have said it better! You can not pray this kind of deception away. Josh is forgiven, yes. That does not mean he has received THERAPY!! Why the Duggars are against therapy, I'll never understand.

    2. I agree. You also can not pray away the real consequences of infidelity, like sexual diseases, and distrust. I hope Anna has the freedom and information she needs to make a decision about how to continue.

  30. I am preparing myself for a major disappointment.First, this will be their last show. Second, all that content crammed in one measly hour. It's kinda like throwing a dog a bone and then not giving it to them. They wet our appetite and then abandon us yet once again.I do sound ungrateful... But I really do miss and care for this family. To have so few shows that actually make you feel good after you watch is a rarity these days, and to have one like the Duggars that can and have change lives is even better.I know for certain that this girl typing has changed some because of the Duggar family.I hope we see you again after this last show...(with a tear or two😢💔)Blessings to you,Jimbob,Michelle, Josh,Anna,McKenzie, Michael,Marcus,Merideth, Jana,JohnDavid,Jill,Derrick,Isreal,Jessa,Ben,Spurgeon, Jinger,Joseph,Josiah,JoyAnna,Jedidiah, Jeremiah, Jason,James,Justin,Jackson,Johanna, Jennifer, Jordan, and Josie❤💙

  31. I always felt sad that the show 19 Kids and Counting never had a "goodbye show" like, say Jon and Kate +8. I wonder if this is that? But either way it's been good to watch.
Hope to keep hearing about them, but intimate moments(like when Josh is done with his treatment center and he and Anna greet each other) I hope they keep private.
I'm sure Anna's family want to stay out of the spotlight. Probably Anna weighed all the options; staying with the Duggars, staying with her parents, or staying with one of her siblings, and found that where she is is best for her and her kids. I just wish the tabloids would leave them alone. I suppose it's hard to de-program everyone from their being celebrities. Thanks Lily and Ellie for being a reliable source, and Merry Christmas!

  32. Anna is the most amazing Christian example. I would like to think I could handle such an absolutely tragic, life-shattering event this well, but I feel sure I couldn't. She is truly an inspiration and a role model. Anna, I'd like to be as strong a Christian woman as you are someday!

  33. Mary Steen - I can't believe your statement about incest being "not uncommon" in large families. You make it sound as if it's no big deal, and that the more children there are, the less shocking & the more acceptable it should be. NO siblings should be touching each other like that, period! NO excuses!!

    ReplyDelete
  34. To Anonymous 15.
I agree with you Anna should be with her Mom not the Duggars.
The Duggars need sometime without Anna and the kids around. She should have stay in Washington Dc. She needs time to handle thus my herself.

She also needs to tell the truth to her kids what their Dad did. A other wish they will her it from someone else.

    1. I'm sure Anna weighed what was best for her and the children when deciding where to live. And speaking of the kids, we don't know what Anna has told them about where their father is, but they are very young and don't need nor would understand all of the details at this time. We should stop second guessing Anna's decisions...what would be best for one family is not necessarily best for everyone.

  35. Anna is such a strong young woman. She is obviously very hurt by what Josh has done and I hope that she can continue to stay strong in her faith. I hope Josh gets the help he needs to help him with his problems. I am sorry that TLC cancelled the Duggar family show because of this. This is an example of REAL life. In the real world people make bad choices and make mistakes. This does not mean they are bad parents. In fact, with the size family they have, it is pretty remarkable that the children all appear to be well adjusted and growing up into productive citizens.

  37. I would recommend that someone in your family take a few minutes and look up EFT --Emotional Freedom Tapping-- On Josh's behalf. It is very hightly effective and has immediate results. You can find very informative videos on YOUTUBE. Josh needs to be home with his family and I have had tremendous results with this technique in my life...If you just look into it, I'm sure that you will not be dissappointed...Good Luck and God Bless you All!

  38. I am someone else whose life has been very positively impacted by the Duggars, and I am so grateful to them for their strong commitment to, and love for, the Lord, their Godly example (I didn't say they were perfect!) and for allowing us a small peek into a strong, beautiful, and faith-filled family, whose lives honor the Lord.

  40. If incest is "not uncommon" in large families, then why do these people keep having large families? This is a serious question.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Why should the tabloids leave the Duggars alone? They chose to be a public family. They sell stories to magazines.

    1. I'm fine when various media report actual factual stories about the Duggars. My problem is when they publish assumptions, rumors, and innuendos not based in fact.

      Delete
    2. To the second Anonymous comment, unfortunately, the tabloids have been right about everything. The Duggars have chosen to make a career out of being on TV and in magazines. They chose to make their lives an open book.

      Delete
  42. Mary Steen, Please rethink your comment that incest is common in large families. Maybe it is common in your family but it is not common in most large families, that is absurd. It does sound like you are minimizing it as a natural consequence in large families. Incest is the behavior of a sexually disordered mind. Sexually deviancy is in all types of families not commonly in large families. Reading your comment was insulting, denigrating to large families, and simply not true.

  43. As I was praying for your family this morning, this family I have grown to love through TV. I was reminded of one of my favorite movies.....FIREPROOF. While it is just a movie, God does heal addiction. I am praying for this to be the case in your family and for the World to be able to see this amazing God given healing!! May God be with you all!
