Duggar Family Beach Trip 2025

The Duggars took a big family beach trip last fall, which was documented in a video that Jana Wissmann uploaded to YouTube a couple weeks ago. They returned to the beach again this year, also with a group of about 40 people. Many of the same family members went. During the trip, they celebrated Michelle Duggar's 59th birthday and enjoyed Dolly Parton's Pirates Voyage Dinner and Show in Panama City Beach. Jana just uploaded a video with some of the highlights.

  1. Warning - it starts with a long ad for a rental car company, disguised as "family footage at home." Can't they do anything without trying to get paid for it? Life is not about getting sponsorships guys.

    2. “Life” is not, but most media is. The Duggars are no different in that way than anyone else in social media or media. Almost anything we read, watch, or listen to has a commercial aspect to it. Do you expect them to make videos for free?

    3. @2:49 Why couldn't they make videos for free? They want to share their lives, so just share it. Why have to profit from it? Do you expect your friends to pay you when you send them a picture or an e-mail?

    4. @6:47 it costs money to film, and edit content plus upkeep on the camera and camera equipment and the electricity usage that comes with the use of a laptop or computer for editing. It would wind up not being worth the effort if they were going to all that expense for free. No sponsors or ads and the Duggars would disappear from the internet as would their former TV network TLC...without sponsors, they can't make content...simple as that. Nothing is EVER free in this world...there's a price attached for everyhting.

    5. Very good point about making people pay to hear your news or to see you. That turns your personal life into a money-making business, which is strange. Jinger and her family just can't get away from "reality TV" can they. Next thing they need to become free of, indeed.

    6. It would be strange to “make” your friends pay. However, it is not strange to monetize videos or get sponsors. It is completely normal on social media platforms. Content creators who have enough views can make money from the platform itself, ad revenue, and sponsorships. The viewers are not friends forced to watch videos and the viewers are not forced to pay anything.

It is a separate question about whether anyone should make any videos about real life. That is a question to ask of the entire reality tv genre, talk shows, magazines that focus on the personal lives of celebrities, and all social media platforms. That covers a large swath of the current media world and is a question that applies to thousands of people in media.

  2. If they don’t capitalize from their own likeness someone else prob would, sadly. It’s annoying but what’s the point of sharing deets about their lives?

  4. I feel sorry for the owner of that place. That big group looked like they were really putting some wear and tear on it. You can tape tons of stuff to walls in a rental like that?

    1. Owners of big places know there will be partying and expect normal wear and tear. This group no doubt politely left the place in normal good shape.

    2. Owners of big places often have rules in the contract against partying and about damages beyond wear and tear. I would not want to watch a video of my house being filled with stuff taped on the walls, little kids slamming my gaming tables around, etc. etc. Would you?

  5. I Love the Duggars! Such a Wonderful Family! It is so good to see all the siblings and their families spending vacation time together hanging out and having fun!
God Bless Michelle and Jim Bob for being parents that loved God, their children and others! They inspired me to keep my eyes on Jesus, to seek Him first, and to love and care for my family and others. 🙏🥰

    1. 7:49 Might want to read Cousin Amy's book when it comes out later this month...

    2. Do you disagree with me that they all love God and their family? I didn’t say they were perfect parents or their kids were perfect children no one is. I admire how much they love God and each other! Cousin Amy loves God and her family too, but she isn’t perfect either. We all need forgiveness, and we all need God’s help and guidance to do what’s right. May God Bless all of our families!

    3. It's easy to stand outside a family like that and say oh how wonderful. It's harder to be inside a family like that having those things happen to you. It would have been especially hard for a Duggar child, since not only was the camera on you, the religious system your parents put you in was working against you as a girl (Gothard's teachings). All in all, I think that's an odd way of showing "family love" or even "God's love" being practiced. Nobody's perfect, but you don't have to compound matters like that.

    4. I don't think Jim Bob and Michelle are inspiring parents. They did a lot of damage to their children, in more ways than we can get into here. I'm glad I watched the show and then followed the news about them and learned the truth about their IBLP, or I might have been fooled too.

    5. I still say, the Duggar kids love their Parents, their siblings and their own Children. Jim Bob and Michelle love their Children and Grandchildren.
I also believe they love JESUS!
I wasn’t saying their religion inspired me, it’s their LOVE for each other and for GOD that inspired me. I pray they all have gotten away from the legalistic, IBLP teachings and go to a Bible Believing, (Jesus is the Way, Truth and Life, Trusting in Jesus Alone for Salvation), kind of church.
May we all know God’s Glory and Grace and seek Him! John 3:16

    6. You have overlooked so many things 2:28.

    7. They may love Jesus and God, but are they following ALL their principles? Every day with everyone, no matter what race, religion, or creed? Even the rules about pride, greed, lust, wrath, and lying? People who avoid those evil things and love others are the ones who are inspiring. You have to practice what you preach.

    8. To answer your question (3:00PM)
No, I am sure they don’t ALWAYS follow all of God’s principles, but you don’t either and neither do I or any one else that has ever lived on this earth except for JESUS! But I am guessing you are more judgmental than they are.
The Duggars are God fearing, Loving, Generous, Caring People, that I admire and are an inspiration to me.
It was so sweet seeing Jana, Jessa and all the siblings, including the grandchildren, cherish and honor Michelle Duggar, (their Mom and Gramma Lolly) on her Birthday! God Bless them.

    9. @1:47 Judgemental? The Bible implores us over and over to be discerning of others and to watch who we associate with or admire! 1 Cor 5:9-13 1 Cor 15:22 Prov 20:19 Psalm 1:1 Psalm 50:16-18 Prov 26:18-19 2 Cor 6:14-15 1 Tim 5:22 Prov 22:24-25

    10. In my many years, I've found that the people who profess to love Jesus/God the loudest and the most often are usually the ones whose lives are a wreck somehow. They need something to lean on and they need to hear themselves say it as affirmation. They also think it gets them status at church or among church friends. But down inside, they're anxious, scared and/or unhappy. It applies so frequently that it can't be coincidence. After reading Amy's description of Jim Bob's father's actions, here we go. Again.

    11. @ 11:16 AM I looked up the Bible references you listed that implores us to be discerning and to watch who we associate with or admire. Here is a list of the habitual sins of people we are not to associate with or admire:
      sexually immoral- greedy-swindler
      -idolater-verbally abusive-
      habitual drunk-slanderer-gossip-stealing-adulterer-deceiving
The Duggars at the Beach trip are God fearing, and are not doing those sins. They are choosing to follow God and to obey His Word! So again,
I say, I admirer them for their love for God and each other.

    12. 12:36 Have you read Jill's book? Amy's book? Listened to either of them be interviewed? Followed any of the news out of NW Arkansas over the last 50 years? I don't know where to begin with that list.

    13. 4:44 PM I commented on the Duggar Family Beach Trip on Oct. 2nd @ 7:49 PM. I was specifically referring to only the people at the beach trip, how, I admired them and was inspired by them. Do you know who all went on this beach trip? Have you watched the video and seen all their faces as to who was actually there? I think you are confusing them with other people. You have been vague with the reasons why I should not admire and be inspired by them. Also you have not mentioned anyone by name, is it because they were not even at the beach trip? If that is the case, you never should have replied disagreeing to my original comment, or to my other replies defending my original comment.

  6. I saw the new video and I was able to determine which Duggars were in attendance and it was mostly the same group from the previous beach trip:

    Jessa and Ben
    Joseph and Kendra
    Jedidiah and Katey
    Jeremiah and Hannah
    Jason and Maddie
    James
    Johannah
    Jennifer
    Jordyn
    Josie

    Duggars not in attendance:

Anna (Josh doesn’t count because he’s in prison)
    Jill and Derick

    1. Johanna’s engaged. It’s Jenni who’s courting-not Josie!

    2. @5:10 How have you confirmed that? Through some click-bait site or AI generated announcement?

    3. Josie is still a minor!! Impossible on that one, that she’s getting married. As for Johanna, not sure if that’s true.

    4. Josie is 15. Even for a Duggar a bit young to get married.

    5. Please stop using Facebook as a source for rumours about the Duggars. Most of what is being posted on Facebook now is Artificial Intelligence slop and lies. Made up nonsense. The same AI slop on Facebook claimed Josie had died the other day.
