Duggars in Pompeii

The Duggars' European vacation continues. James Duggar and his friend Elijah started in London and met up with Jana Duggar, Jed Duggar, Katey Duggar, Truett Duggar, and their friend Laura in Rome. The group also took a tour of Pompeii, which is about 150 miles southeast of Rome. You can watch footage of their visit to the nearly 2,000-year-old ruins (link below).

  1. They remind me of the kids on the school field trip who like to fool around and don't learn much but like their day off and the bus ride.

    4. Check your own bias. I think they're as curious and learned about as much as any of us going to a European country or two for a week. It reminded of my own tour of Pompeii a number of years ago. Obviously no one retains everything, but it's worth doing no matter what our political persuasion. We should be glad we have some of these types of experiences in common. Also I wouldn't get too bent out of shape because they had breakfast at a McDonald's one morning (which had its own Italian flair with the extensive array of pastries). Clearly they enjoyed the local cuisine at a number of Italian restaurants and bistros as most of us would do on vacation.

  3. Why bring a baby on such a long trip? It’s not like babysitters weren’t lacking?

    1. Not only a baby in arms but an unborn baby too. Crazy.

    2. Because they want to be good parents? lol

    3. Maybe they're like my son and his wife. Wherever they go, baby goes. That's the way they want it, and there's lots of available family to babysit.

    4. I am not going to judge you like you are judging them but if I was going on a long trip and had a baby, I am taking it with me. If you can't deal with a baby that long... well, like I said, I am not gonna judge. I am going to leave that alone lol.

    1. I didn't know Sicily was a country. I thought it was part of Italy.

    2. Can they drive there from where they're staying in the country of Rome?

    3. Sicily is not a country, it's part of Italy.

    4. I am from Sicily too and we call it a country even though it's not lol. It should be it's own though.

    5. A lot of Sicilians do call it a country and feel as if should be separated from Italy.

  6. Single young men traveling without a chaperone or their parents? Oh my. How will they & their families be able to vouch for their purity?

    2. Well, they are with their siblings. And as Jessa said all courtships are different. Different rules for everyone by their choice. Try again.

    3. They have travelled before. Jana has travelled alone several times too.

    4. All courtships are different? What, they're allowed to hold elbows instead of hands? Get a 4-second side hug instead of a 3?

    5. 9:26, and some of them do drink. Tsk, tsk.

    6. 3:31 Jessa said this multiple times. And actually, some of them held hands and kissed before engagement. You need to catch up.

  8. I loved watching the video. It reminded me of the times when the Duggar family would go on international trips. My Dad and I really miss the Duggar's and the Bates families. Maybe one day the family's will have a spinoff. Natasha b

  9. Why is it every time this blog post about one of them, someone has something negative to say about each individual Duggar? And you can tell it's the same person. This is a fan blog. You have a right to your opinion but it seems a bit odd to come here to state that. Some of them still do have social medias. Why don't you go there? Why come here? I am just generously curious. Are you afraid? :)

  12. The Duggars as tourists make it embarrassing to be an American. You represent all Americans when you visit another country, because that's what the people in that country see and then associate with Americans.

    1. You are overly bias and dramatic. One strand of hair out of place must make you faint.

    2. A lot of Americans do tend to act like silly tourists while overseas. Locals notice.
