Jinger Speaks about Josh

Ahead of the release of her book Becoming Free Indeed, Jinger (Duggar) Vuolo was interviewed by Page Six. She shared her thoughts on brother Josh Duggar's crimes and his prison sentence. A video of the interview can be found on the Page Six website. Jinger's book will be available January 31st.

  1. Good for her not contacting him since his sentencing. She doesn't owe him nothing.

    1. I agree. Until Josh accepts responsibility for his actions and shows some remorse there's no point in talking to him. Sadly he's still trying to wiggle out of the consequences of his actions.

    2. Same. I think even if he somehow gets out, most the siblings probably won't have anything to do with him. His only option is go back home to mommy and daddy if all the kids are moved out by time he gets out.

  2. What's there to say? The evidence clearly established Josh's guilt. Hopefully his appeal will fail as it seems to be based on the fact that his attorneys were not allowed to attempt to mislead the jury by casting blame on someone else without any evidence to support their claims.

    1. Because people are curious. Jinger was asked if she has spoken to her brother since his sentencing and she said no. A lot of the siblings hasn't either from my understanding. His siblings went to court because they wanted to see the evidence themselves because they was lied to so many times. They seen it and they left. The only ones that still back him is his parents and wife.

    2. As a parent the love I have for my child is unconditional. That does not mean that I would turn a blind eye to such horrific crimes against children. His parents seem to somehow believe he didn't do it and as for Anna, I don't understand why she has not gathered up her children and ran not walked as far away from this mess as she can get. There is love and then there is just plain stupid.

  3. During media interviews, she says it's so tough to talk about him which it no doubt is yet she does these interviews with major networks that will be viewed by the masses.

    1. She's not saying it's tough to talk period. Just about her brother.

    2. I agree, 4:55. It's a lot of "Look at me not being able to say anything." You know she's had plenty of thoughts about her brother. She's being too careful choosing what she does (and doesn't) say on camera.

    3. She does the interviews to publicize her new book, not to talk about Josh. The interviewers keep throwing him into the conversation. Of course she knows he's guilty but there's really nothing else to say about it.

  4. She did a lot of careful talking in circles and not really addressing the issue. You're not "free indeed" if you can't say exactly what you're feeling and you still have to toe the family line or the religious line.

    1. She explained it really well actually. I read the book and it explained it very well.

    2. Freedom is a state of mind. I think she feels much better about herself and has a life she enjoys so she is "free indeed".

    3. I agree, but I chalk it up to her not being a very good public speaker. She said a lot of nothing but I'm not sure that was intentional! At the end of the day, this is someone with minimal education doing there best to make ends meet

  5. Accountability has always been a big deal for the Duggars. Until Josh accepts responsibility, stops portraying himself as a "victim" and ends efforts to have his conviction overturned, Jinger should maintain her distance from him.

  6. I think it's called a book tour. Doesn't all authors make the rounds speaking about their newly published book?

  7. I wonder what Jinger's siblings feel concerning her criticisms about her parents?

    1. Who cares what they think? Jinger has every right to her opinions! She’s an adult and does not need approval from others.
