  3. Congratulations to John and Abbie!!

  4. Why are they keeping the birth date a secret? Like an infant is going to be a victim of identity theft or something?

    1. Because it's no one's business

      Delete
    2. Because it’s THEIR choice

      Delete
    3. Because maybe that's how they want to do things now? It's their choice and their child. It's not your family member.

    4. Yea I find that strange too, as well as the fact that the birthday list isn’t being updated. Jed and Katey’s baby is still “due in spring” when it’s actually around 6 months old already….

    5. Just because they haven't said what day he was born dies not mean they fear identity theft. Be patient they may give more info later....John is probably gone with Medic Corps and I think they are enjoying a less public life.

    6. It is strange, for a family who always sold exclusive stories about weddings and births to the tabloids. I wonder if the tabloids are no longer calling, after last year's trial?

    7. Finally the birthday list is updated!! 😁 Now just need to update the grandkids list!

    8. Because they choose to not share a lot of info. Just like how Jinger and Jeremy chose to not share their childrens faces on social media.

    9. 3:12 PM - Because some of the kids want privacy for their own children. Looks like they are pulling their children away too.

  5. So happy for them. I always love when people get one of each!

  8. I wonder if they named him Charlie because he was born when Charles lll became king.

    1. Somehow I doubt it.

      Delete
    2. I highly doubt it. They usually choose names of people who are Christian. King Charles is also British and the Duggars are American. America broke away from monarchy for a reason lol

      Delete
    3. I think it's after one of Abby's relatives. I highly doubt they would name it him. And king is a bit of a stretch because he married a divorce woman, he should not be on the throne like his uncle.

      Delete
    4. 7:59 PM - Exactly what I've been saying. They can say Edward did this and that but the main thing was he married a divorced woman.

      Delete
    5. @ 7:59 - I think you might be a little confused about the monarchy. King Charles is actually the son of Queen Elizabeth, so he was in line for the throne regardless of who he married.

      Delete
    6. 2:39 PM - That's not how the monarchy works and in fact there has been discussion in British media that dares question it. King Edward was in line before the Queen's father was and he had to give it up for the same exact thing Charles did which means Charles should not be on the throne. And not only Charles married a divorce woman who knew he was married, he is divorce himself and committed adultery right in front of the public. There are rules within the monarch.

      Delete
    7. I studied the monarch for over forty-five years. I could write a whole book on the accessions. But in short story, yes, William is technically the true king now because Charles married a divorce woman. King Edward VIII had to abdicate because he wanted to marry Wallis Simpson, a divorced woman. It was not long after the queen's passing that many started to ask questions about this but as usual the palace stays hush-hush. They know it's wrong because these rules was never changed.

      Delete
    8. If it was true that Charles is really the new true king than that means his great-uncle Edward should of kept the throne, right? He he had to leave because he did the same thing Charles did. There was nothing written in law that says he is allowed to marry a divorce woman.

      Delete
    9. So that makes Wallis, Queen Consort?

      Delete
    10. Different times people!! Wallis was divorced 2 times prior to marrying Edward. The public hated Wallis (for good reasons) so Edward walked away from his responsibilties. She was a party girl and Edward was a terrible, do-nothing Prince of Wales. He could of married Wallis but he wanted her crowned. Public opinion was against it. THERE WAS NO LAW against the marriage. The current Queen Consort has worked hard and quietly over the last 20 years to support Charles and Queen Elisabeth. She is one of the hardest working Royal. It was Queen Elisabeth's wish that Camilla would become Queen Consort, instead of Princess Consort as was originally planned. @7:36, you know NOTHING about it. Edward ACTUALLY was king. He QUIT and we should be gratful that he did. He SUPPORTED Hilter. Do not base your understanding of history on distorted NETFLEX programs. And, by the way, any of you who are NOT British or Commonwealth Citizens, keep your opinions to yourself. Charles is the RIGHTFUL King.

    1. Since they didn't post a picture, how do you know he was "beautiful"? I wish them well but that was a weird birth announcement to say the least.

    2. @Oct. 5th: If you click on the link to the birth announcement, and scroll down, you will find a picture which includes baby Charlie.

  18. Glad for them!! I was checking frequently lol just curious the date he was born :) I realize they don't have to post that. Hope they are all doing well.

  21. So this nurse had her baby and then just weeks later takes him to a big wedding with lots of people potentially breathing out who knows what kinds of infections. I really don't understand how the Duggars actually try to protect the lives of innocent babies, other than when it applies to others, not themselves. It's so disappointing to see.

    1. Maybe they don't believe it's actually dangerous for the baby... I certainly don't. Especially babies that are breastfed have a special extra immune protection. They have to be exposed to germs at some point for their immune systems to develop!

      Delete
    2. You shouldn't "develop" a newborn's immune system by purposely taking it to large gatherings weeks after birth.

      Delete
    3. Was you there at that wedding? Do you know if they did tests? Also if Abby is breastfeeding, she can't leave her baby.

  23. Welcome to the world Charlie 👶 They didn't tell us a middle name, weight or length at birth. I would love to see your sweet face. Just glad they shared your safe arrival.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Congratulations!! Is his name just Charlie? No middle name? I know it's not important and really none of our business but I'd love to know. 😊

  25. Such a vague announcement, no exact date, just September. No middle name, just Charlie. No weight, no length. No indication of what # grandchild this is for Michelle and Jim Bob. No picture of the new baby.

    1. I agree. I wonder why they even bothered to announce his birth. Most parents give more information about their newborn.

      Delete
    2. I think it’s great! I was even more private than that and hid my pregnancy. Not everyone needs or wants attention.

      Delete
    3. The picture is on their Insta. Respect their decisions on how they announce their children's birth.

      Delete
    4. "Congratulations" would have worked too.

      Delete
    5. 12:23 PM - That's your choice and just because someone choosing not to hide it does not mean they are seeking attention. You must had not gotten a big belly.

  30. All new babies look like themselves. Wait till he is @ least a year before you decide who the baby looks like. Many changes in the 1st year. OB nurse.

    1. Yes, newborns change a lot. But, um, well, see that's like not your call though to tell them what to do about that.

  31. I respect how they announced this baby's arrival. Nickname, no other info than that. It's theirs to keep for awhile unless they choose not to share at all. It's their decision and it's their child. People are proving them right all these years that they can't please everyone. There's people that don't want them share their kids online and there's people right now that are upset they didn't give out more information which I find it extremely concerning which is probably they are doing that. Jinger really triggered them with not showing her daughters faces. Again, it's their decisions and children. It's their platform. It's their lives. People want to control them while claiming they are being controlled. They want them to live how they want them too. It's weird and it gives off narcissistic vibes. And while you are so quick to talk about them despite them being reality stars at one point, they are still human beings and I guaranteed you don't do this to anyone on your friends list that shares pictures and info about their children. It's the same exact thing regardless of social status and if you have a check mark by your name. Once you share something online, it's there forever. I know a lot of parents that over share on social media platforms that would one day embarrass their child. So how the Duggars children handled this is far better than what I've seen and what your friends probably do. And you probably just read and stroll on by without saying anything. We all know why that is and we all know why you come here to a fan blog. Why don't you go to their social media platforms with these kind of rude comments?

    ReplyDelete
  32. To Natasha B. Please the Duggars all need to live private lives now . Please pray for them.. We have survied this long without them being on TV we can live without the show

  34. Congratulations and I love how they announced this one with just a nickname. And I hope that's it for John-David and Abbie. She knows that two kids is the right and logical number of children anyone should have.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. What a wrong and illogical statement to make. The right number of children for any given person is the number of children God gives them.

      Delete
    2. Where do you live that two kids is the right and logical number of children to have? Good grief, they live in the United States where couples have the freedom to choose family size and that choice is treated with respect. You talk like someone who lives in a country where married women are expected to have 1-2 children, with large gaps in between, which is definitely lacking in her body, her choice.
