  4. Congratulations to Abbie & John!!!!!! I am glad that Abbie & John have decided to let their fans in, on their exciting news. I was an avid fan of Counting On, and I still have a positive view of all 18 of Josh's siblings.I am the oldest of three siblings, and I don't think it would be fair for people to judge me based solely on the actions of either of my siblings.

    1. 1:44 Who's judging them based on the actions of their eldest brother?

    2. I totally agree with you! I've always admired John & Abbie. I'm very happy and excited for them and I hope Abbie is feeling well!

      Delete
    3. You're right -- that would not be fair.

    4. @Anonymous 5:27pm, The TLC tv network for one. Counting On was cancelled because of Josh's actions. There are also people on this website who have been posting comments like "All the the Duggars, should live a more private life, while they heal, from this latest situation with Josh." Jana, John, Jill, Jinger, Jessa, Joesph, Josiah, Joy, Jedidiah, Jerimiah, Jason, James and Justin, are all adults and are capable of deciding the best way for each of them to deal with Josh's actions. If these individuals want to live a more private life, or if they want to keep working, that is up to them.

    5. 9:00- Giving an opinion about staying private is not judging them because of Josh. It's merely a wise suggestion, in that they can avoid criticism and protect their kids from trolls.I thought that long before Josh's actions were made public. I never believed that putting your kids on reality TV was a good idea in the first place.

  7. Congratulations John and Abby on the news of your baby boy. I understand the announcement and gender was already told but I would love to hear the announcement and see the gender reveal party and birth sometime in the fall. I hope and pray that everything will go smoothly. I really miss all of you guys. I wish there was a new spin-off. Natasha b

  17. Congratulations to John and Abbie on baby #2. I sure hope she wasn't as sick as she was with Gracie, but I also know HG seems to hit people with pretty much each pregnancy.

    1. Not necessarily, I didn't have the same morning sickness experience with each pregnancy. Hopefully it was better this time.

    3. What kind of a comment is that? What do you have against baby boys? Perhaps you should think before you post.

      Delete
    4. "Congratulations," would have also been appropriate. But, you do you.

    5. They are probably happy they are having a boy since they already have a gurl.

  34. Congrats to them! I hope for her a healthy safe pregnancy. I can't imagine having such severe morning sickness. HG can last a long time as well. I heard many doctors say with one bout of HG, you should not have another one. I am surprised with her educational degree, even some of the sisters being midwives they would heed these warnings.

    1. I dunno, Prince William's wife had 3 babies, and she had HG. If what you say is true, why wouldn't her royal doctors have told her that?

      Delete
    2. That might be what many doctors say but it is NOT what the ACOG says.

      Delete
  35. Yay for a boy! It will be fun for them to have one of each!

  36. Goodness! Now they'll have a girl and a boy. That should be it.

    1. I will never understand how anyone presumes to decide how big someone else's family should be.

      Delete
    2. @2:47 Then you must take issue with the Duggars' belief that babies are a gift from God and that a woman should have as many as possible- no birth control!

      Delete
    3. Alberta Rose: Perhaps those who tell people what size their family should be live in a country where women do not have Freedom Of Choice. Fortunately John-David and Abby live in a counter where couples have the freedom to choose have none, one, two, three or more.

      Delete
    4. Couldn't agree with you more, 2:47.

      Delete
    5. 2:47, I am just giving them a good suggestion.

      Delete
    6. 6:12, "should" takes it beyond suggestion.

      Delete
    7. 5:09, the Duggars never decided how big any other family on earth should be.

      Delete
    8. It's a couple choice on how many children they want

      Delete
    9. But it really isn't any of your business whatsoever how many children they choose to have. None. Zero. Zip!

  37. HEY I am soooooo happy to hear U are with child. Please take good care of U, but your feet up, and I love back then was, I love U 3, now I love U 4, Fab 4!!!!!

  38. Oh what wonderful news! I bet the parents are over the moon. Congrats John & Abbie and big sister Grace. I wish her a happy, healthy and safe pregnancy. I had many women in my family deal with hyperemesis gravidarum. And you know, I can't tell anyone want to do with their body but she has to know near the field she use to work in and her slightly different upbringing from the Duggar's that HG is something not to play around with at all and to be taken seriously. Women has had near death experiences from it and some have died like some of my family members. They will have two children. A beautiful daughter and son. They should consider tubal ligation. It's much safer than birth control.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. A tubal ligation is major surgery. I don’t know if it’s safer than birth control.

      Delete
    2. Hyperemesis gravidarum can be treated. It can't be that serious given that treatment suggested by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG) Nausea and Vomiting in Pregnancy guidelines. Initial treatment should begin with non-pharmacologic interventions such as switching the patient’s prenatal vitamins to folic acid supplementation only, using ginger supplementation (250 mg orally 4 times daily) as needed, and applying acupressure wristbands.

  39. What a surprise! I am so happy for them. It's amazing to me how time has changed. I came from a very small town in Kentucky. We never announced our pregnancies nor did we really go anywhere. And when we did, people never question or stare at the woman's stomach. You only talk about it until after the baby is born and the ladies all have a baby shower then. I know it may sound strange but that's where I came from. I think this tradition came partly from Ireland because in my town there was a lot of Irish people. They believed baby showers was bad luck.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I like how your town deals with pregnancies( except for the never going anywhere part). I feel like in todays society everybody wants to know everything about your pregnancy, when’s it’s due? Boy or girl? do you have morning sickness? And the worst one can I touch your belly? I wish people would just mind there own business.

    2. How long ago was this? It sounds like something from pre 1980s.

  40. Two kids may be just the right number! Smart couple!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Please don't say that, it's rude. Jill and Derrick are no longer a "smart couple" because they are having a third. Smart and number of children have nothing to do with each other.

  43. Abbie is such a wonderful wife and mother that sets a good example for her children and even in-laws. I enjoy watching John-David and Abbie's journey. I do hope she gets back to her career once their son is old enough to be in school. I highly doubt she'll have anymore.

    1. Why can't he do both? Perhaps you could explain? Does constable require such time and devotion in that position that he cannot effectively be a husband and father?

  46. Happy 18th Birthday to Jackson Duggar! Wish you ladies would start posting the Duggar family (Bates too) birthdays on the blogs again. I don't know why you stopped. Does it have to do with the two families no longer being on TV? Just curious.🤔
