    2. I don’t understand where people here saw more than a picture of the couple? Eileen

  2. I'm sure it was lovely, but a gossip magazine? Really?

    1. This is something I have never understood, and it has always seemed hypocritical to me. They were always so careful about tv and such, but then then when it comes to selling a story to a rag, it's ok.

    2. Since their show was canceled, not so sure more credible publications are interested.

    3. Likely, they were the highest bidder (not being snarky, being serious here).

    4. You don't understand the times we are living in and how journalist work to get a story. They would walk through a war to get a story. The thing is about these magazines is that if they or some other celebrity declines a story, they'll print something bad about them. If they do accept the story, they'll print something good about them. That's how hollywood works and I am surprised you have to ask this. They do it to the queen of england which is why she has a certain garden party every year for the media.

    5. 9:45 That is not true at all.

  3. Why are they still selling to magazines? And why are magazines still buying?

    1. I know, it's very ironic that these are the same type magazines that Michelle & Jim Bob were adamant wouldn't be allowed in their home nor those websites be accessed by their children. Yet, how many times have they been paid by those same gossip magazines for spreads and exclusives? They're still selling to those caliber magazines, just as they have before, for the money.

    2. Just because the show was cancelled doesn't mean they still don't want attention and money.

    3. Just so you know the magazines seek them and even if the family declines, they are going to twist up the narrative. If they choose to do it, it can be a nicer narrative. That happens to a lot of people unfortunately.

    4. because many people love Duggars and want to hear news about their family!

  4. Congrats to Jeremiah and Hannah on their wedding. But, I'd like to know why there's no audio on the Youtube videos of their wedding. Why is that? But anyway, the wedding was beautiful and, congrats again to the happy couple. Very cute couple.

  8. It was a small and simple wedding, with just 4 bridesmaids and 4 groomsmen (James, Jason, Jed, and Joe). The decorations were minimal and lovely. The vows were traditional. The pastor rambled too much. No jokes or pranks were done. No Duggar women in the wedding party, but Ivy Jane was a flower girl. She forgot to take any flowers out of her basket though, lol.

    1. 2 flower girls and 2 ringbearers, Ivy was one of them yes and Gideon too

    2. I agree the pastor did remble on a bit.

  9. Their shows are all off the air. Their son is in jail. Why are they still seeking this kind of publicity?

    1. Hannah's family is known for their music, it's not just about the Duggars.

    2. Because you and I and many others read it

    3. They are not seeking publicity. There are still people who care about the Duggar Family. Obviously the magazine wanted to write an article about the wedding. I'm not a fan of the Duggars in the sense that is obsessed with needing to know every move they make. I do however care deeply for them as brothers and sisters in Christ. I personally prefer to read happy news about them.

  12. Life is back to normal. A wedding in the grand Duggar tradition.

  13. Hannah's dress is very pretty. I didn't know that Renee's Bridal Boutique designed her's and other Duggar brides dresses. Guess the Bates and Duggar's share something else in common, they use the same wedding dress designer. Can't wait to see more pictures and the video of the big day.

    1. I question how much Renee's Bridal actually "designs" or makes these gowns. Most gowns are made in China after a designer makes a prototype and then places an order for mass-production at an overseas factory. Does Renee take pre-made gowns and customize them by sewing other laces and sparkles to them, or by altering them? I don't believe she has her own design house (like Christian Siriano), a team of pattern makers and prototype seamstresses, or factory connections overseas. I don't think she's making bespoke gowns (one-of-a-kind, custom made, hardly affordable) gowns. I think she's coming up with alterations to existing gowns and people are calling it "designing."

      Delete
    2. Renee didn't do all their dresses, but some of the daughters and daughters-in-law. The website didn't get that part correct.

    3. Seems like people question everything the Duggar's do and who they buy from but it also makes me question the people who does these type of questioning and literal picking @10:47

    4. @9:41 You must not understand the way the garment and fashion industry works. It was my grandmother's life and I was privileged to get to know it from the inside. You shouldn't take other work, change it, and call yourself the designer. I think these brides get dreamy stars in their eyes when they see those dresses. But from what I've seen, and after seeing the real deal, it all seems...sparkle.

    5. 10:47 AM - I have never heard of that at least the bridal shops in my area don't do that. Everything is U.S. made.

      Delete
    6. @5:48 Check those labels. Nearly every wedding dress you see in a retail bridal shop these days is made somewhere overseas (Asia). Unless you're buying from a top-designer like Mischka, Wang, or Miller, who produce in NYC, the dresses will probably be imported. Retail dresses take years from idea to sample making to placing the order with the overseas factory, to shipment back for the shop where you finally see it hanging there as a "new" dress. Even if you find dresses that say "made" in the US, that could mean the sewing is done here (rare) but the materials are still imported. The US doesn't produce the luxury fabrics needed for bridal gowns. This is another reason why the factories that make the dresses are overseas.

  15. Does anyone know what time of day the wedding was held? The pastor referenced "this morning" during his speech, but maybe that was a mistake, because he is used to saying that on Sunday mornings. I ask because the church was really dark, like it was late in the day or early evening.

  18. It looked to me like the twins may have been channeling each other in the decorations. Even though they were in diffeerect states and one was inside and the other outside, they both had similar structure open altars and a similar pattern to their flower decor. I thought it looked great. Just enough to be twins, but diferent enough to be their own individuals. And from the pictures of Jed and Jer's wives, I have the feeling they will be great friends.

  20. Were Josiah and Lauren missing because she just had her baby?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. There's been no announcement of Lauren either being pregnant or of her having given birth. I don't know why people seem to believe she's either pregnant or just had a baby. It appears to be gossip and not based on anything the Duggars have said.

      Delete
    2. Now now we don't speculate like that! Not until there's an official announcement! These people are "private" now.

  21. Looks like a lovely wedding. Congrats! ^_^ My hubby and I wanted a evening wedding but due to circumstances out of our control we had to switch up the times but we still made the church look dark and candle-lit. We had a vampric-style. It was a beautiful small autumn wedding.

  28. Congrats to the newly married couple . People need to quit blaming the ENTIRE family for Josh’s behavior ! It’s not their fault ….

    1. Who's blaming the ENTIRE family? People question the motives and actions of the parents, but I've not heard of anyone blaming the siblings.

      Delete
    2. 12:49 No one is blaming the entire family--that doesn't even make any sense. Certainly the siblings have not been blamed for Josh's behavior.

      Delete
    3. The entire family? I think we all know Josh acted alone.

    4. The original posted comment at 12:49, is VERY justified in saying what he or she said. It's known that people have and did blame the whole family for the actions of their oldest son, yes, they already did,in many ways and formats. That isn't up for discussion. To discuss that fact is the same as discussing whether Christmas has come and gone already. IT did, that is fact.

  29. Yay, I'm so happy for Jeremiah and Hannah!! Getting married almost exactly a year after his twin is amazing! Maybe next year they will have a baby, and who knows maybe the baby will be born on the same day as Jed's, just a year later :).
