Nerf Wars with Michelle Duggar

Nerf gun wars with Michelle Duggar

Who said grandmas can't play hard? While some of the Duggar grandchildren are over at the big house, Michelle Duggar gets involved in a hardcore nerf gun war. Jessa captured it on video (link below).

    2. Hahahaha! You've never been shot with a nerf gun, I guess.

    3. Nerf guns are not "violent".

      Delete
    4. @12:19 No but the strange delight you might take in stalking and hitting someone with a projectile is.

      Delete
    5. What's violent about a nerf gun? I sure hope you're not raising boys!

      Delete
    6. 5:01 Why? Are boys supposed to be raised with guns and taught it's OK to shoot anything at another person?

      Delete
    7. 1:45, you mean like a snowball fight or a pillow fight or kickball?

      Delete
  2. Raising your kids and grandkids to think it's fun to shoot anything at anyone. Teaching them what a "sniper" is and what a "sniper" does. FOR SHAME.

    1. No child should go around pretending to be a sniper! And no "Christian" grandparent should allow it in their home.

    2. You people would pass out at my house if you think what you seen on that video was something bad lol. We have huge nerf guns and have big fun battles with them. It's fun and guess what?, not one of us have ever thought about it being a real gun and have only thought of them as a fun time.

      Delete
    3. Ever heard of a Police Sniper? You know, a hero who saves a hostage from being murdered by a criminal?

      Delete
    4. This kind of footage would never air on their show, not with all the controversy lately over gun violence. Yet this is exactly what the Duggars do when TLC's cameras aren't rolling. I think it's very insensitive of them to do this and to film this. It's a lack of good judgement once again.

      Delete
    5. I doubt they were thinking about police snipers. The only thing on their minds were hitting each other as fast as they could, which is sad.

      Delete
    6. Are you people serious about thinking playing with nerf guns is wrong? LOL Good grief snowflakes, toughen up buttercup!!

      Delete
    7. That is a really sad attitude to have about others. @5:39

    8. Well, I guess you will never call 911 for help and will never need help in war from the military. Lucky you to have such a safe life.

      Delete
    9. @8:28 Think about how many fewer 911 calls would there be if you took away all the times someone was threatened or injured because of a gun.

      Delete
    10. Do you know that a "sniper" serves a useful purpose defending a country? The US Army uses snipers to defend the USA. Christian Armenia is under attack right now by the other religion in that part of the world, and "snipers" are helping to defend its people.

      Delete
    11. 4:55 -- Think about how many fewer 911 calls there would be if people threatened with a gun met fire with fire -- in other words, pulled out a gun to defend themselves. The news media fails greatly in reporting how often guns are used for self-defense purposes. Isn't it nicer to have a gun at home when an armed robber breaks in than to be a sitting stooge just waiting to be tied up and/or shot?

      Delete
    12. Please take out your Bible's and reread the old testament and revelation. Then come back and tell me our God had the slightest issue with killing. Murder he detests, killing, not so much. A sniper is a savior on the battlefield, he is the early warning, the watchful eye and the sure shot watching over those below. God blesses the peacemaker and the protectors, not the cowards and the passersby. I would be proud of sons and daughters who were not relient on others for their own safety and can also do so for others. For now this is a child's game played by children, but don't make the mistake that when they grow older that this grows into something detestable to the Lord.

    13. Violence only begets violence.

      Delete
    14. @1:41 First of all, do NOT assume that we have not read the Old Testament.

As @9:29 wrote violence begets violence.
And, of yes, God Bless the Peacemakers and Protectors. But those are ONLY well-trained military and police. They are not people running around with guns.

      Delete
    15. @9:29 AM - "Violence only begets violence", live by the sword, die by the sword.

Both these statements are warnings to the violent, that they will meet violent ends. These are not statements made to force good people into pacivity in the face of evil. Our God holds those who can do something about evil, yet do nothing accountable for the evil done. As it is said, evil prospers when good men do nothing. Revenge is the Lord's, but we are responsible to react and protect when we are able.

      Delete
    16. 6:22, the Bible doesn't limit peacemakers to well-trained military and police. That's your interpretation. A man with a gun can't be a protector for his family? A man with a gun can't be a protector and stop a mass shooting? Guess what, both of those scenarios happen.

      Delete
    17. @6:22pm - only military and police? I'm sorry my Bible translation didn't have that qualification, what version do you use?

There is no such Biblical standard. There is no call in the Bible for Christians to be passive in the face of evil, quite the opposite. Dig into God's word, you won't find any of this woke, limpwristed garbage in it.

    1. It's the same principle as dodge ball. Trying to hit someone with something (softer than a dodge ball). Do you think they are actually thinking about killing anyone while they do this? I doubt it.

      Delete
    2. That's a very valid point you make!

      Delete
    3. The original Hebrew translates to murder, not kill. Just as in English they are very different words. God abhors the shedding if Innocent blood. However those who take a lives in defense of themselves or others, those who stop evil, they are peacemakers, and by His word, they are called children of God.

      Delete
    4. @1:48 Then hold up your Bible for self-defense. That's all you need.

      Delete
    5. @9:32 - My Bible is for saving souls, and I'll keep my gun for saving innocent lives. Thanks, but no thanks.

  6. I am from the Netherlands and we may think differently about weapons than in the USA. But I can not understand why you learn your kids to 'kill'. I know of is just a game but for me it is just a bad example and not a nice game. In my house no 'play'weapons: toys, homemade from wood: it doesn't matter to me. I just don't like it. I prefer to learn that fighting is never a game and killing is a crime. And of course that God learned us better!

    ReplyDelete

    1. 11:54AM. We don't teach our children to "kill". We teach them to defend themselves and to hunt for food.
Being a resident of The Netherlands, you obviously know that the Americans liberated your country (with their guns and weapons) in World Wars I and II.

      Delete
    2. You "teach" Your kids in the U.S not "learn them". God "taught" us better, not "learned" us better. Michelle is a very educated person, and doesn't need a uneducated person telling her what to do!

      Delete
    3. I totally agree with you, Netherlands. Please don't think all Americans have the Duggars' opinion of guns, play ones or real. I had a cousin who killed himself with a gun and a friend who tried to, so I'm well aware of the dangers and seriousness of guns. I hate seeing kids allowed to play like that. As you said, hitting someone, fighting, and killing are not games. I'm glad you're teaching your kids that.

      Delete
    4. 10:49 Such an insulting reponse to someone whose first language is likely not English. I'd imagine that if you were trying to communicate with someone in Dutch, you'd appear thoroughly "uneducated". BTW, how many different languages are any of the Duggars fluent?

      Delete
    5. To 10:49 Grammar Police - Obviously that person uses English as a second language and did very well communicating! Could you have done so well writing in HER native language?

      Delete
    6. @8:16 Too bad it took almost 5 years to help the Netherlands in WW2. By that time, hundreds of thousands of Dutch people were either killed, transported as labor to German factories, or put in prison camps, at the hands of Germans with those same "guns and weapons" you think were so valuable. It goes both ways.

      Delete
    7. Anon10:49 give the commenter grace. English is most likely her 2nd language and she is speaking the best she can.

    8. To anonymous 10:49:
      here the Dutchie again...

I'm sorry that my English isn't perfect. I'm not a native speaker. At least I try! And of course we can all have a different opinion about guns. I just hate them. And I just think there are better things you can do with your grandchildren. I like that she is that active though

      Delete
    9. 10:49 - it’s obviously a translation problem, not an education problem. I’d like to see you write in Dutch 🙄

      Delete
    10. To anon 10:49...The OP is from the Netherlands so did you ever consider that rather than being "uneducated " it's possible that English may not be her native language? Perhaps you should think before you pass judgment on someone.

      Delete
    11. To 10:49: Actually you are the uneducated person. The response from Anonymous Netherlands (which I completely agree with) was well written for someone who does not have English as their first language, and from someone who probably knows at least 2 others languages on top of their first language. I'm from Australia and only speak English, how many languages do you have 10:49? I'm always in awe of people from countries like the Netherlands who have such good English. On the issue of nerf guns, I feel people in the USA don't realise how the rest of the world is appalled and baffled by the normality of guns in your society which leads lead to so much unnecessary violence and death. In that context it is uncomfortable watching the Duggars with toy (and in the past real) guns.

      Delete
    12. 10:49- The OP is uneducated because English is obviously not their first language and misused a verb? You've got quite a distorted opinion of what constitutes being well-educated. I have a hunch that Michelle Duggar is not fluent in Dutch or any other language. At best, she has a high school diploma.

    16. My relatives from Zeeland were grateful for the Canadian guns and other weapons that arrived to liberate them in WWII. I guess you must be vegetarian also since you are anti-gun and thus would never use a gun to kill an animal.

      Delete
    17. In the Netherlands we are very well educated. Most of us speak and write several languages. I speak and write, beside Dutch, English, French, German, Italian and Spanish. But off course i make some mistakes, they are not my first language. WW1 we were neutral, WW2, we were invaded... I dont like guns but sometimes they are necessary... But i taught my child they are not for fun. The Duggars are out and open pro life, and in my opinon shouldnt play with toys who look like guns.

      Delete
    18. @8:16 Actually, the Netherlands was liberated by Canada, and not the US in WWII. Canada was the second country that declared war against Germany in, 1939. The US, by the way, were selling arms to BOTH sides prior to 1942. The US was forced into the war by the Japanese. And, the Netherlands was neutral in WW1. Please learn some history!

Canada not only liberated the Netherlands, but hosted the Dutch Royal family. Every year, the Dutch people sends Canada tulip bulbs to mark the friendship between Canada and the Netherlands. Each spring, during the Tulip Festival, the city is awash with beautiful flower beds of colorful tulips.

      Delete
    19. I bet the Canadians brought their guns.

    20. I've spent this year studying American women's experiences in WW2 and British women's WW2 diaries. The consensus is that the war was wasteful, both in terms of property and human lives lost. WW2 dragged on until both sides had destroyed as much of each other as they could. It was senseless killing stemming from evil and greed for power. Unfortunately, when children are taught that guns and human targets are playthings, might makes right, and violence can be used for conflict resolution, the seeds of war are planted. Without those, there would be no need for "self-defense."

      Delete
    21. @1:45. Yes, they did but THEY WERE TRAINED members of the Canadian arm forces. In Canada, we have gun control. Only members of our military (IN THEIR LINE OF DUTY) and police (and not always) have guns.

We do not encourage children to play violent games because we want our children to grow up up thoughtful, educated, respectful of ours and non-violent.

And by the way, I have family members who are current members of the Canadian arm forces. They are taught that taking a life, even that of an enemy, is NOT to be taken lightly. That is why Canada is known the world for our Peace Keeping Expertise. Another country known for Peace Keeping is the Netherlands.

  7. What happened to "Lolli"? The grandkids called Michelle Grandma many times in this video. This family can't be believed.

    1. So what if they call her two different things? Maybe the adult kids are the ones who call her Lolli around their kids, since they are the ones who call their dad Pops.

      Delete
    2. Lolli is a nickname, not her only 'Grandma' name. Lots of grandparents have multiple names - nana, granny, grandma, etc. The Lolli nickname that she is sometimes called came about because JB is sometimes called Pops, so together they are Lolli, Pops. Your statement "This family can't be believed " because Michelle is called more than 1 grandma name, just makes you look ridiculous.

    3. 12:53 - that is the stupidest argument against the Duggers that I have heard. My grandkids have changed what they call me as they grew up. That doesn’t mean you can’t believe our family.

    2. If nerf guns were painful, I'm sure several of the kids would've hollered. If y'all are complaining about nerf guns teaching violence, please go ahead and complain about water balloons, pillow fights, and boys wrestling. Please y'all, use common sense.

    3. 11:48 The purpose of guns is to kill. It’s the symbolism that’s an issue with toy guns.

      Delete
    4. Maybe the projectiles were painful. At one point Michelle winces and looks like she hit something she shouldn't have.

      Delete
    5. @8:21,the reason they don't send their kids to the military is because they have thaught their children that guns are not to be used for violence, that's why they have let their children use guns for sport and games so they understand that is the only correct way to use them and that way they can be responsible around guns, but it seems some people just want an opportunity to make the family look bad, tut, tut!

I did Army BCT and retired last year, when I joined as a result of 9/11, I was in close contact with men and women, different ethnicities, faiths and political beliefs, as peers and supervisors. We did buddy carries, first aid, hand to hand combat to name a few activities that involve intermixing.

      Delete
    8. @5:25 You're incorrect about the Duggars only using guns for sport and games. John-David was an armed constable. Medic Corps went to the Bahamas armed. They definitely have guns for self-defense purposes, which means potentially shooting someone.

      Delete
    9. @ 3:13,let me explain this simply,if a lion were about to attack you would you defend yourself by shooting him with the gun you prepared just for defense or would you let him eat you and die a horrible death and make your spouse a widow or widower and your children orphans,I think yours and everyone's answer would be the first not the latter!

      Delete
    10. @7:13 Why would anyone be near lions? The Duggars aren't near lions. They live behind a security gate and they hang out at the nail salon or the coffee place. Public appearances are at book signings, talks, or anti-abortion rallies. They believe in The 10 Commandments yet still feel the need to have guns. Doesn't make much sense.

      Delete
    11. @5:25 So are you saying they would file as conscientious objectors if our country instituted the draft?

    12. What is Alert? I figure it’s a conservative Christian sponsored organization but even reading it on-line, I don’t understand what they do. What is their “purpose?”

    1. Christians ought to be protectors of the weak. A gun is an object, it has no morality, no agency of it's own. Yes, bad people do bad things with objects. However it takes good people with other objects to stop them. The Bible tells us that the Lord will hold anyone who sees evil coming and does nothing that they will pay for the evil done. Be like Christ, the Lion of judah, peacemaker, protector. Innocent life is worth protecting, so use the best tool for the job.

    1. Yes, it doesn’t make sense. I’m a Christian. I’m pro life. That means I don’t want unborn babies killed, and I also don’t want anyone shot. Jesus spoke many times in no uncertain terms about violence and vengeance and self defense, but modern people want things to be easy and of man made logic. The gun-loving pro life group creates a hypocrisy that turns many away from the Truth.

      Delete
    2. Exactly. They are not pro life. They are pro birth, and that is a completely different ideology. The pro ends as soon as the baby is born.

    3. M.N I can only speak for the area of the country where I live- mostly rural, white and conservative. For many, it's like a culture. They equate gun ownership with strength and machoism. They also have a terrible fear that liberals are determined to confiscate everyone's firearms, so some become hoarders. You'd be surprised at the arsenals that can be found in the basements and bedrooms of some folks. It becomes another kind of extremism in many ways. Of course, the entertainment industry has gone a long way to promote guns and violence. Kids are exposed at a young age to the mayhem and become desensitized to it. Regarding the pro-life/gun obsession, while a good share of the people who are all about individual rights/ less government interference/second amendment, they at the same time beat the "pro-life" drum which would essentially allow the government to force a woman to continue a pregnancy under any circumstance, or make it darn difficult for her to have access to a legal procedure. Their "concern" for life would actually put more women's lives at risk, as desperate women take desperate measures- unless of course you're rich and travel is no deterent. My own grandmother nearly died during the Great Depression from a self-inflicted abortion. History makes clear that criminalizing abortion won't make it go away- it just means it will become another very profitable black-market and very risky commodity. Today, look what's happening in Poland with their new strict abortion laws. They're in the midst of an unprecedented uprising from their citizenry. I hope our current conservative Supreme Court takes note of this. It's is my hope and prayer that a Blue Wave will lead to a restructuring of the Court to remedy the situation. At the very least, there should be restrictions on the number of years a justice can serve. This justice -for- life business has to go.

      Delete
    4. 5:24, Totally agree with you and wish more people did too.

Much better to shoot your own food and clothing than to be a hypocrite and let someone else do it for you while condemning them for being able to use a gun properly.

      Delete
    8. 6:01 I have always felt that life-time appointments to the Court should be abolished, no matter which party is in power. SCOTUS has become just another political arm of the government.

    9. I am sooooo tired of people who don't think trying to claim that Democrats are going to take your guns away and make everyone have an abortion. Those are top two on the list of Ridiculous and Generalized Things to Believe About Democrats.

      Delete
    10. 8:21 You have a very poor argument if you have to resort to the vegan comparison. We know that gun violence against human beings is rampant in this country and conservatives fight tooth and nail against sensible gun law reform. We now have a sitting president encouraging private sitizens to arm themselves and head to the polls on election day, in order to "stand watch". Pro-lifers are pro-birth, with little regard for the living,IMO.

      Delete
    11. Pro-lifers want the freedom to bear arms so they can defend themselves and their families against, get this, death. That sounds pro-life to me.

      Delete
    12. Law abiding conservatives who own guns are not the problem. Broken fatherless homes, drug addicted parents, a society that tells people they are victims and therefore they don't have to abide by laws and that it's ok to steal, kill and destroy because you are a "victim" and it's ok to kill a full term baby in the womb are the problem. To tell conservatives that there is a need for gun control in the midst of this dangerous climate you liberals have created is absolutely ludicrous! If a liberal tells anyone that there is a need for gun control while out of the other side of their mouth they are fine and will protect the right for a baby to be butchered, ignore them because their argument isn't worth even entertaining. Having a gun at this point is a good idea.

      Delete
    13. @9:28 A father in the home is no guarantee of success!! Some fathers are abusive, violent, or, you said it yourself, addicted. Adding guns to the mix is a recipe for disaster. YES there is need for more gun control, especially when laws have dangerous loopholes. That's what liberals want to change. That should add protection for the conservatives too.

    14. "Fatherless homes" is the most generalized statement I've read on this blog in awhile. I've known many women who have raised wonderful and compassionate children on their own. I've also known fathers who were violent towards their wives and children, and the home is better off without them. 9:28's statement doesn't hold water. Putting a father in a home doesn't give you any guarantees. And even if you don't want to believe it, there are still victimized people in our society. Denying they exist doesn't help or change that. Nor does a gun.

      Delete
    15. Anon 12:13 When 90 some percent of men that are incarcerated have one thing in common and that is no father in the home then that means fatherless homes are not a good thing for children. When you tell people that they are victims and therefore entitled to steal destroy and kill then you have what we have been seeing on the news which is BLM and Antifa stealing, destroying and killing which is the propaganda you liberals are feeding these lawless thugs and it's causing all this mayhem. Then you talk about gun control but that backfired on the liberals because gun sales increased 66 percent from last year because we conservatives will defend ourselves and our families. It isn't us conservatives causing chaos but it is us conservatives taking serious steps to protect ourselves from it.

    16. Anonymous @ 12:13- I think what the poster was referring to with "fatherless homes" is the significant amount of both psychology and sociology studies supporting the fact that boys (specifically) lacking a father (or who are not emotionally bonded to their father), are significantly more likely to engage in criminal behavior. No one is knocking successful single parenting moms, nor is the poster's argument addressing abusive or addled fathers in the home. Psychologically speaking, boys and young adolescent men, absent a [solid] father figure in the home, will look elsewhere for a "strong' male role model. There are plenty of gangs (as well as cults) that will be happy to step in and "parent" those boys and young men, promising family/a place to belong/protection/support. Simply put, unless there is a strong positive support system in place, a breakdown in the family unit (be it serious dysfunction, divorce, physical or emotional abandonment, abuse, emotional abandonment due to an addiction, or even the death of the same sex parent) puts the boy/developing young adult man more at risk for experiencing violence due to association. That's not to say it is 100% going to happen to every fatherless boy or young adult man, but to a higher percentage of those 2 groups than if there is a stable engaged father figure in the home.

    18. Doing the research, the loudest voices for gun control are those who benefit from it 24/7- national politicians and Hollywood celebrities with private bodyguards and security...neither of which is likely to experience someone burning their car, looting and burning their business, assaulting and robbing them, nor looting and burning their neighborhood CVS/Walgreens. They're safe locked away in their ivory towers (or should I say gated communities with security) and their hallowed halls (with Secret Service agents and Capitol Hill Police at hand). Hypocrisy.

  26. I know that there are fans who will say there's nothing wrong with guns, whether real or toys.
As another poster pointed out though, if the Duggars are so so adamantly pro-life, why is it ok to indulge in a pretend killing game and claim it's all in fun? Maybe it's a way to take out one's hostility and aggression I guess. I just find the contradicting behavior very puzzling.

      Delete
    5. 8:19- You are missing the point entirely. There was nothing in OP about guns being used for self-defense or protecting one's family. It's about the incongruence of claiming to be pro-life, yet using toy guns for pretend violence and glorifying their use for that purpose. You're either pro-life across the board, or you're not.

    6. 9:20, hitting someone with a foam dart is akin to ripping babies apart? I think not.

  28. It's a target game... you are aiming at a target. Good hand eye coordination. It's not any different than a game of horseshoes or darts, you are aiming something at a specific target, nothing more. Nobody was pretending to die or anything. Lighten up people!!

    2. 3:23 I've never cared for any game that includes targeting people for fun. That's the kind of thing that can easily get out of control and someone gets hurt, whether it's with a toy or snowball. My brother nearly lost an eye with a well-aimed icy snowball when he was a kid.

  29. I can't believe some of the posters equating a Nerf gun with actual gun violence. People, get a grip, you're taking things way, way too seriously. Do you all realize that guns have been in the US from the beginning? Millions have managed to play with water pistols, cap guns, etc., but did not grow up to kill someone. And the one poster stating that the Nerf gun playing isn't "Christian" - how about David killing Goliath with a slingshot or St. Michael the Archangel shown with a sword? Should we ban, for instance, a play sword on a kid's Halloween costume because it might make him grow up to kill everyone with a sword? Get a reality check!

    1. Actually, most public Halloween costume parades and parties have banned swords, guns, or other weapon-type accessories, years ago.

    2. Yes, it's part of our PC society today, unfortunately. The US has been so socially conditioned now as to what to say and do that you have to walk on eggs with everything now. Common sense is actually what was banned years ago, 3:23. I work with criminals every day in law enforcement, and I guarantee you that none of them began their life of crime playing with a Nerf gun.

      Delete
    3. But I can guarantee you that criminals often come from backgrounds where playing with guns, real or pretend, was not prohibited; chasing or hurting others (or animals) was considered a game; watching violence on TV or movies was allowed; and nobody was able to teach them otherwise. It's that kind of mindset that leads to trouble.

      Delete
    4. There is nothing wrong with being PC. It's long past the time when everyone should show more sensitivity and respect towards others' feelings. Think of what the opposite of being PC really is - a lot of very un-Biblical behaviors.

      Delete
    5. I highly disagree with you, 1:27. We can be kind and respectful to one another without their being *demanded* of it with PC. There have always been kind, compassionate people in this world, just as there have been those who aren't. But we don't need nanny social conditioning to tell us how to think, feel and act. Show respect and sensitivity to other people's freedom of choice.

      Delete
    6. Anon 1:27 When the PC people decide that the only way to speak or think is the reason PC culture wrong. Trump supporters like myself learned that firsthand. Christians like myself learned just how malicious this PC culture can be when we stand up for our beliefs, so no it's not Biblical behavior at all, it is the opposite of Biblical behavior.

      Delete
    7. Unfortunately, there are too many who still need "nanny social conditioning," and Mr. Trump is no role model for behavior. Exactly what is standing up for your beliefs? Putting them above the beliefs of others to the point where you become radicalized?

      Delete
    8. Anon 4:00 There is no "PC culture". I'm not sure what you're talking about. There are many ways to communicate, however if we can't share our ideas and views without being perceived by others as being rude and/or abrasive we're doing a poor job of communicating. I'm sure you believe your views are correct, but that doesn't mean views you disagree with are somehow wrong. Perhaps toning down the rhetoric is a good way to deal with this issue.

      Delete
    9. PC does NOT equal Biblical. Anyone who points out that certain behaviors accepted by the culture are not Biblical are immediately harassed and ’canceled’ for not being PC.

      Delete
    10. Anon 1:27. With all due respect, IMO people should stop playing the "Biblical" card. Social customs have changed a good deal since Biblical times. Many practices that were accepted then such as women being chattel, owning slaves and men having multiple wives are no longer considered socially acceptable.

      Delete
    11. 10:07 If someone's behavior is not affecting you in any way, why is it up to you to point out that what they do is not ok? For example, if a same sex couple want to be together, why should it matter to you what they do? You can practice whatever religion you wish, but your right to do so ends when you start telling others how to live their lives.

  34. Seems like so many have forgotten their old testament. Our God is no flower that his gentleness will crumble in hand. He is a great warrior, a just and mighty God. He has no issue with killing, but will punish those who take spill Innocent blood. Our God blesses the peacemakers, and protectors. A gun is a modern tool, like the sword and spear that came before it. You are fools if you believe the God of the Bible would look down upon firearms, upon people defending themselves, and passing that skill, that mentality to their children.

    4. I have never lived in such fear that I think I need to have a cache of firearms within easy reach in my home. If your God is so all powerful and loving, he could've made all of humankind peaceful and non-violent, so there'd be no need for weapons of any kind.

    5. @10:37 The Old Testament is all about Christ. It tells why we need Him and foretells His coming. Genesis 3:15 is just one Scripture that mentions Christ.

    6. @4:19pm - You mistake fear for preparedness. God does not expect his people to be helpless sheep. My God is all powerful, but He is also loving. In His love he gave us our free will. The ability to choose Him, or choose the world. To choose to try and do good, or to do evil. You mistake love for control and prepairdness for fear. I invite you to open God's word and see for yourself, it is a not a message of fear, nor is it a message that mistakes control for love. Our God loves you, and He is patient, but He is also Just, repent and come to know Jesus. I encourage you to join us in fellowship this coming Sunday, you can even join us online at Gracechurch.org
