More of the Vuolos in LA

Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo have been in Los Angeles, California, for the past several days. Last night, they sat in on Dr. Steven J. Lawson's class on Expository Preaching at The Master's Seminary, an education facility founded by Pastor John MacArthur.

    2. Yes he holds to the Calvinist beliefs. I don't believe that Most of the Duggars are Calvinist. I think only Jeremy and now Jinger and Ben and Jessa are.

    3. John MacArthur is a very serious Bible expositor. His videos are all over YouTube, so people can listen to his own words explain what he believes.

    4. Jamie, he is a Calvinist. That means he follows the Calvinist interpretation of the Bible. There are many ways people interpret what is in the Bible.

    5. Anon @ 10:58. How do you know that Jessa and Jinger now hold calvinist beliefs? Are you saying that because they are married to men who hold these beliefs the now hold the same beliefs? You can have your own beliefs independant from those your spouse holds. Many married couples belong to different denominations and even religions.

    6. You are right Anon 4:18, I should not have assumed Jinger and Jessa are now Calvinist because their husbands are. They very well might have held onto the way they have believed before marriage. There might be differences in denominations, but Praise God that the criteria for Heaven is Faith and Trust in Jesus our Risen Lord, so we can always be united on that truth whatever our Christian Denomination is.

  2. The men look so well dressed and Jinger looks so casual with her ponytail.
Love her dress by the way.

    1. Ponytails are not casual...I had a ponytail for my wedding.

    2. I only wish jinger would dress up when her man does! It looks so off balance when she doesn't. I don't know what happened to her but her style definitely went 👎🏻 after she married. I wonder if she isn't dressing somewhat like Jeremy's mom does.

    3. 8:47- Dress up when 'her man' does? Really?! Jinger is an adult, perfectly capable of picking out her own clothes. Whether or not you approve doesn't matter in the least.

    4. I agree that Jinger is way too casual for this particular setting.

    5. Anon @ 8:47 I don't think Jinger was at the actual conference, there was one picture of Jeremy in a classroom taken from outside, so she does not need to be super formal. I see nothing wrong with how she has been dressing. In the picture above she looks pretty and smart in a sundress, its hot in California at the moment. She is definately not dressing like a 50 something woman, she has her own style and is still developing now she has more freedom with her clothes, she will make mistakes along the way but thats all part of the fun of being young.

  9. I think I can see a vuolo move to California in a few years time. This is their second trip there this year and they seem to like it there.

  10. So many posts about Jinger looking "thin" - I do not think so at all. Her face/upper arms look just fine.
Keep in mind folks - since marriage her diet most likely changed a lot. . . . no more so-called "JB&M" foods. When she was in the Mexican Restaurant (on recent show)she was careful not to have bread/rather had lettuce for her wraps. She is probably eating much more healthy foods.
KUDOS to her. She looks great.

  11. So very sad. All these posts for days and days to put down Jingers upbringing. Parental upbringing to please God was /is what the Duggars believed they were doing, and they are still raising their family. Why attack her upbringing so much, and her parents home. Why so much of Jinger? So she wears short dresses now, sleeveless dresses; high heals and pants, okay? Isn't enough, enough about her "freedom"?? Even letting a post about the kind of food she is now eating to be better than what she got at her parents house?

    1. This is a forum for opinions. If you agree with the Duggar beliefs, that's great. Some people don't agree with the man-made rules the Duggars imposed on their children in the name of Christianity (no knees, no shoulders, no pork, etc.),so they are voicing opinions here. That's all.

    1. I agree with @6:14. Tyler was ADOPTED into the family which makes him no less a member of the family as anyone else

    2. Adopted? You got news that the rest of us didn't? Last we heard, the Duggars had legal guardianship of him. Big difference.

      Delete
    3. Tyler is not adopted. The Duggars only have temporary guardianship of him until his mother gets her life back on track.

    1. She's in LA. Humidity can be very cruel to long, curly hair. She might have decided to simplify life by doing a ponytail.

    2. There is little humidity in LA. Very dry heat there.

    3. Los Angeles is not humid. If you're near the beach, that's a different story, but most of Los Angeles is dry.

    1. Yes, so many petty things that aren't worth our time discussing. Plenty to pray about and plenty of people to be helping instead.

  20. I think that since Americans keep getting heavier, that's the standard by which everyone is now judged. Jinger is a tiny little woman, but I think she looks perfectly fine. She's not overweight for sure but not too thin either.

  21. J&J look so cute! Glad she does not feel the need to feel his stomach for pictures like her younger sister does her husband.

I love that Jinger has sprung her own style and looks amazing. Hopefully Jeremy will continue to encourage her to be her own person and maybe find something in life that means as much to her as his ministry means to him.

    1. How do you Jinger isn't happy in Jeremy's ministry? She IS happy AND is supportive. If Jinger knew she wouldn't be happy with Jeremy in his ministry she wouldn't have married him.

    2. I believe that all once their surname changes, each female dresses how she wishes. My mother does not approve of how I dress to the point it has created a wedge between us. I like to wear skirts a lot, pretty, low heeled shoes and gave up on wearing shorts, preferring to make my own below the knee cutoffs.

    3. Unknown; I don't think the original poster was saying that Jinger isn't happy being a pastors wife, just that it would be good for her to develop an independant interest for herself, maybe take her photography a bit further with some classes or working alongside a professional photographer? Many ministers wives have careers of their own, I work with a doctor whose husband is a minister. Being a pastor/minister is his career choice not hers, she can be supportive but she should have the opportunity to develop her own interests and have a career if she wishes.

  22. I have to wonder if all these comments critiquing the length of Jinger's skirts, the fact that she wears pants on occasion, or her weight come from people who consider themselves loving and non-judgmental Christians.

    1. Anon @ 6:20. Oh I sm sure they do, as my grandfather used to say there was too much religion and not enough christianity, he was a wise man!

  23. I think Jinger makes a great pastor's wife. She is so caring to people, especially those who are in need or are going through tough stuff. I know in the book she wrote with her sisters how she ministered to women in prison.

  24. You would be safe to assume however, that after almost a year and no pregnancy (bearing in mind it's in God's timing aka no birth control) that they are either somehow using a preventative or there are some potential fertility issues. As someone who works in this field, the fertility specialist would recommend any couple that is not actively preventing pregnancy and has not fallen pregnant in a year (for those under 30) and 6 months for those who are older, should undertake some basic fertility evaluation.

    1. Maybe they don't want kids?

    2. Anon @ 7:38. While I am sure you mean well I don't think it is yours or anyones place to speculate on wether someone is or isn't using birth control or if they are having fertility issues, the latter is very insensitive. It is a private matter between them, just because Jingers parents were known for not using birth control and having a lot of children does not mean the vuolos will follow suit.
