Duggars Celebrate Valentine's Day

Yesterday evening in honor of Valentine's Day, the Duggars threw a party celebrating God's love and their love for each other. The theme was "We love because He first loved us" (1 John 4:19). Both family members and friends attended. Did you do something special for February 14th?

  1. Happy St. Valentine's Day! As St.Valentine was a Catholic priest (Father Valentine) I doubt the Duggars would would want to know about him. But, that's too bad as he was a great man of God who chose to go against Roman decree, was imprisoned, and ultimately martyred for his faith and performing Christian marriages!

    1. What are push presents?

    2. Considering he doesn't have a job, I hope Ben isn't buying Jessa random diamond presents.

    3. The anoying notion that you need a gift for everything.

    4. it is a gift given to the mom, by the dad, after giving birth to their new child.

    5. I don't think gift giving is ever annoying. And you can never have to many diamonds!!

  3. Looks like a lot of them pitched in to help get ready for the party. How fun to celebrate that way!

  5. And there's Joe's girlfriend next to him once again. I'm calling it - there's another courtship afoot.

That's not Joe girlfriend that's his sister Joy. If you learn to read what the caption says.

    3. I believe he was talking about the picture at the table. There is a blond next to him. No need to jump on anyone.

    4. Boy, you guys are brutal! So he/she didn't recognize that was Joy. Why be so nasty about it? "Learn to read..." really???

    5. I think the original commenter is referring to the girl with the blonde ponytail sitting next to Joe at the table in the last picture.

  7. Why did they celebrate a holiday that's based on a Catholic saint? If they wanted to celebrate God's love, they could have picked another day. Ben must be having second thoughts about Catholicism, if he's enjoying this day plus he just named his son after Henry Wilberforce, who was Catholic and converted people to that faith. It's amazing what they choose to notice and what they choose to overlook.

  8. Awww, celebrating God's love while wearing a t-shirt that advertises handguns. How precious. "Thou shalt not" what again??

  11. Do these people ever eat with anything other than plastic plates and plastic forks & spoons? No wonder they need a dumpster on their property to handle all their trash. Or maybe they walk it across the street and put it right into the landfill?

    1. Always something to complain about... you must be a lot of fun at parties.

  12. Jana is either removing a card or inserting a card in that bouquet of flowers. It's probably from or to her family members. What we do know is the Duggars will release the same phrase when speculation arises. You never know...immediately followed by a sibling...never know".

    1. Store-bought whipped cream scooped into plastic dishes. Seemingly over fruit, which was probably also purchased pre-cut.

    2. Is there something wrong with that?

    3. Wow, someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed. So what if it was pre-cut fruit? Weird.

    4. That is unkind. Even if it were true--please don't be unkind.

    5. I believe the inconsistency here is the fact that they have an industrial kitchen, yet what we usually see them do is spoon up stuff they brought in from somewhere (in big take-out pans), or pop open a can, or pull something packaged from the freezer.

  14. So great to see this family and their love for each other. Every family has trials, God says that will happen. I'm just sorry that people can be so judgmental of others while stuffing their own skeletons. May God's blessing continue to to grow heal and nourish your family. With love from Texas.

  15. Oh my....look at Joyhannas feet..! With all the older children .....that tile floor could get a deep cleaning at least every 4-6 weeks.....swiffers just get light lose dirt and dust.....not built up dirt......😳

    1. They have an industrial floor cleaning machine. They've shown the younger boys running it. That floor should be cleaned weekly!

  16. Wasn't Joy "interning" in the state government? She's home now? What is going on? That was a short internship. Nothing is ever fully explained with this family.
