'The Big Event' Sneak Peek

"Every time I go to see Jeremy, it seems like I get very little sleep the night before."
-Jinger Duggar

An all-new episode of Counting On is coming your way in less than four hours! The engagement trip has finally arrived, and Jinger and chaperones (Michelle, Jessa, Ben, and Spurgeon) are flying to Dallas to meet up with Jeremy (video sneak peek below).

    1. Why didn't she go upstairs and get the right size curling iron? It would have taken less time and would have solved her problem.

  5. I've just finished watching tonight's episode. It was a great idea for football camp but I didn't need an hour of it! Kudos to Ben though.

  6. Oh, how I remember those days, to be young and in love, what an exciting time in one's life.I feel her happiness.😄

  7. After watching this episode, YEP, that's all that was done....she talked about it and prepared to go...nothing more. ....this was repeated over and over throughout the show last night. Quite boring.

  8. Forget the hair,Jeremy likes you Jinger for who you are and not your hair! But young people don't see this when they are young! Get going you don't want to miss your flight!

  10. It's odd to me that she's going to marry the first man she's dated, but maybe their way is better?

  11. Not the most riveting clip.

  12. Jinger had better learn to calm down. Love is a marathon, not a sprint.

    1. Dear Mennonite mom in Ohio, maybe if you consider that thousands of people are scrutinizing and publishing their thoughts on the Duggars. imagine for a moment what it must be like to have your looks, your level of humility, your choice in clothing, your manner of speaking, your mothering, your career choices, your education, your home, etc. Constantly and often unkindly critiqued, you might not wish to compare your seemingly less worldly, Christian walk to their seemingly more worldly Christian walk. I suspect you make choices that seem right and good to you and that they do the same. They perhaps may wear more eyeliner than you do, but I get the impression that you and the Duggars do your best to keep your eye single to Christ. I can't help but feel admiration for you and for the Duggars because you desire to love and serve the Lord.

  14. They are making Jinger seem a little empty headed this season. She has never seemed so spacey before. And I understand being you and in love but really ..... it is like that is all there is to her!

  15. I watched the 9/27 episode. Does anyone believe what they are actually seeing on TV here? Most of this show, except for ACTUAL events which can't be changed, like weddings, are re-enactments. This show is also scripted, where things really aren't "surprises". I say this because: during this episode with the Jinger/Jeremy "plot line", it showed Jinger getting ready to meet up with Jeremy at the Dallas airport on their way to NJ, PA & NY to meet his family.....Jeremy should have been in Laredo, Texas during this time. We know he had been in AR a few weeks earlier...his TH segment in which he spoke about meeting Jinger at the airport for this trip was filmed in the Duggar Pool house next door...he was in Arkansas when this was taped...they then showed him at his home early in the morning getting ready to catch his flight to Dallas. Clearly, the TH segment in AR was filmed weeks ago. So, how could this have been a "surprise"....it was filmed earlier in anticipation. TLC isn't doing a very good job of fooling the public here at all. Also, how do we know that Jinger was really preparing to leave for the airport during that filming? It could have been filmed a different day and it could have been filmed at DUSK, not DAWN when loading up in the white van. They would never risk production issues when they really had to get to the airport to catch that flight. Filmed on another day at another time....so fake. Fans,, please realize that this IS A TV SHOW which includes some real life events for this family...but heavily staged and fake. Thank you, Lily and Ellie for posting this observation. I leave it to your readers to defend or not.

    1. No argument from me, Gracie. I can't believe they play along and twist the truth all the time. They could very easily have said, "Here's who we are and what we do and how we do it, and we're not changing that for TV, so work with it." But no, they've gone along with TLC's crazy ideas and warping of reality for years now. I thought they stood for BETTER.

  16. Or, maybe it's just a TV show, and it's just for entertainment and most people don't take the time to figure out all of the details, just watch it to be entertained by the Duggar kids. Some of us just like to hear kids talk about their faith and leave it at that.

    1. If this show were made up of the kids talking about their faith, it would be 2 minutes long these days, if that.

    2. With all due respect, Ben Seewald opens his mouth and his witness pours out, perhaps you could maybe, just maybe take the beam from your forhead.

    3. But they DON'T talk about their faith anymore.... other than to say someone is a "blessing." Even atheists use that phrase!

    4. LOL@9:15! I believe it's "take the plank from your own eye" not "beam from your forehead ". Now don't get me wrong I like your saying. I'm sure we've all been on this blog long enough that at one time or another we've wanted to beam someone or they've wanted to beam us. But...it is plank and eye not beam and forehead:)

  17. The doldrums of repeated bashing, thanks for your viewership of the show ,it helps the ratings and y'all must be so interested in this side to venture here.Time is precious so glad y'all have it, thanks for your support😉Have a wonderful Dugger filled day😅

    1. You don't help anyone's ratings unless you are a Nielsen household and keep a viewing diary or have a Set Meter on your TV. So they have no way of knowing if others are watching the Duggars or watching spiders crawl across the ceiling.

    2. That's not how ratings are counted. You have to be selected to have your TV watching monitored by the ratings company. It's not just random people being counted. Please set the record straight here.

  18. Why is it that the people who would say something like the 9/30 @ 6:19 comment above are the very ones who then turn around and complain about "negative" posts? Ellie, if you're going to filter the negatives, then you need to filter the passive-aggressive negatives, too. And it's pretty obvious who posted that comment, for regular readers of this blog.
