#TBT: Cleaning the Bates' House

In honor of Throwback Thursday, we would like to share a video that we know you all will enjoy.

Back in early November 2013, while the Bates family was running through daughter Erin's wedding rehearsal, the Duggars took it upon themselves to clean their friends' house, which they had helped remodel four years earlier.

Come back to the blog later this afternoon for another #TBT video!

    2. Me too! It was so nice to turn on a show & laugh with them. No yelling, screaming, belittling, sex, profanity, etc, etc. I miss it so much. They are such an inspiration how to live in peace.

    1. I enjoyed watching the Duggars as well. Why, are we as Christians not allowed to mess up?? When u have a man dressing as a woman n Presidential Candidate who claims to be a Prespyterian but curses like a sailor Yet this is so called OK
Bring back the Duggars any day for me.

  3. Well, it only makes sense that they did clean up! He made the comment that his family was the source if most of the mess. When I visit or have a play date, I feel it's my responsibility to clean up after my children and bless the host by leaving it at least as tidy as it was when I arrived. This is common sense, not an act of service. Sorry!

    1. That's what I said. It's a responsibility not a blessing.

    2. Ok... I thought the same thing after watching the clip, but didn't want tarred and feathered on this blog for saying so! How is it a service or "blessing " when you are cleaning up after yourselves? That was said several times by the Duggars--that most of the mess was theirs. Isn't that just common curtesy to clean up after yourself especially in someone else's home?

    3. It's common courtesy in the south to clean up after a visit. Especially after baby showers, bridal showers, parties, etc. it's just what I was taught to do......

    4. It's common courtesy to clean up after yourself in the North too. Southerners certainly do not have a monopoly on manners.

  10. I wonder how the Bates feel about the Duggars trying to publicly align themselves with them so much as the Duggars' show went off the air and the Bates' gained popularity. It seems like the uninvited friend trying to tag along to a party.

    1. That is so far from the truth...gosh you really do not know either family then...what a shame because they are all beautiful human beings.Blessings☺

    2. Do you know the families well? You do realize we get what they want us to see. The rest is left on the editing floor. None of us unless inside their true inner circle knows the true intent of their motives.

  12. As silly as it may sound I really enjoy watching the Duggars do the simple everyday things like this to see how other people function in their household or in this case a friends household. Both families are truly a blessing to each other.

  15. I miss the Duggars, but I don't miss Josh. Even as a Christian I'm still allowed to dislike someone, right?
