Recap: Newest Grand-Duggar and Spectacular Waterfalls

On Tonight's new episodes of "19 Kids and Counting..."

Duggar Grandson On Board:
  • Josh and Anna take seven-day-old Michael James in for his first checkup and receive a good report from Dr. Scott Fedosky (husband of Ms. Teresa, the Duggars' Bradley class teacher). The blood work is the hardest part, especially for Mama!
  • Later on, cousin Amy comes over to meet Michael and brings homemade raspberry bars. "So how many of these little things are you going to have?" inquires Amy, convinced that there will be plenty more babies in the future.  "You'll have to wait and see!" replies Anna.
  • The old adage "opposites attract" definitely describes Amy and Anna's relationship. "We get along great!" says Anna.
  • Back home, Jim Bob and the kids prepare to landscape the front garden, which has been overtaken by an army of weeds. The father of 19 lays out the plan to his sons: "What if we go and just rent a rototiller and just plow it all under and get some plants."
  • "And when I say we, what I really mean is Joseph and John-David," Jim Bob tells the camera crew, chuckling.
  • The Duggars encourage their children to live at home until they need to be out on their own, but they firmly believe that everyone should contribute to household chores. Many hands make light work.
  • The episode closes with a party to celebrate Anna's 23rd birthday (and Josh and Anna's three-year engagement anniversary). Can you believe that the Duggars have celebrated 236 birthdays since Josh was born?!
Duggars Over the Edge:
  • The entire family hops on their tour bus and heads up to Niagara Falls. Even Josie is able to join in on the fun!
  • "Josie was a very sick little girl for a long time," says Michelle. "And now she is this rambunctious, busy little girl that wants to run and explore the world. And sometimes I still think she's very fragile, but she doesn't think she is!"
  • The day's festivities include a wet but thrilling ride on the Maid of the Mist and an even wetter, but just as fascinating, tour of the Cave of the Winds. Then, while Michelle, Jana, and Jessa take the little ones fishing, Jim Bob and the older kids experience an adrenaline rush like no other on the famous Whirlpool Jet Boat tour!
The Duggars are astonished at the magnificent beauty of the Niagara Falls. What is the most spectacular world wonder that you have seen?

  1. I get it now. As your blog says, "thank you for being kind and respecting others' beliefs." My belief is this family is pushing the luck, just as I also watch Sister Wives and don't believe their beliefs also. TV. Entertainment. Sharing of the minds. The Duggars are free to have 40 children if they want, just as the guy on Sister Wives is free to have 40 wives if wants. I get it now. And snake worshiper churches are free to worship snakes, etc., etc., etc.

  3. Has anyone noticed the highlight in the beginning of the episode of "previously on 19 Kids and Counting" - they showed segments on Duggars talking about dating. Perhaps something will be revealed this season?

  4. Hi Anonymous!

Sounds like that was when they were recapping the highlights of last season. The Duggars did address dating in the season finale, "Duggars, Dates, and Dan." You can read our recap of that episode here: http://duggarsblog.blogspot.com/2011/08/season-finale-recaps.html

    Thanks for reading!

This cracked me up. I often say: We got all the kitchen cabinets finished! And when I say "we", I mean Kyle (hubby). Also "We made a cake for the church fellowship. And when I say "we", I mean Maya (my 13 yo)"
    LOL

  6. Just wondering if there is a way to watch season 5 episodes, as I don't have television but love viewing the duggars. Is there a release date for that season, or maybe full episodes on youtube? Thanks for your help! :)

  8. Hi Jordan!

We have not found any sites that post the new episodes for free, but they can be purchased on Amazon or Itunes for $1.99 each. Viewers often upload them to YouTube, but the wait can be several weeks (or even a few months).

    Thanks for reading!

  9. Hi JOYDUGGARFAN!

No need to apologize! Leave as many comments as you'd like :)

The Duggars do respond to some emails, but because they receive so many, they are not able to personally respond to each person. However, they pray for the needs that are presented and collect questions to answer on their website.

    Have a blessed day!
