The Vuolos' New Church

As the weekend comes to a close, we wanted to hop on here and share an exciting event that happened today in Laredo. Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo's church, Grace Community, had its first service in its new location! Isn't it beautiful?

  2. The church is very pretty. I hope Jeremy stays close to home so he can be able to be a full time Pastor and not taking off from his Church so much. The rewards for being an attentive faithful leader of his Church will far out way anything he will ever get from chasing after being a reality tv personality.

    1. Maybe if Jeremy was there more, attendance at his church would improve. Seems there is a lack of congregation right now.

    2. None of the people out of the Duggar family or their inlaws have "chased after a reality personality"...Why would you even post this?!

      Delete
    3. Rhonda I agree with Anon 10:11. The whole family live on a reality show and now even the in-laws do to.

      Delete
    4. Why would Jeremy a Pastor be on a reality show it it wasn't for wanting to chase after a reality personality? Do you know of any Pastor on a reality show?

      Delete
    5. @12:28 there were in a very small building before. They wouldn't have been able to have much more of a congregation. Now that they have a larger building they can grow.

    6. Jeremy is in his home church plenty. So many non christians commenting on here.

    9. There a few pastors on reality TV, here and there. The Bates, the Duggars friends, have a show on the UP network and Gil Bates is a pastor. They are now rebuilding their Church (it's almost done) because they others their building so quickly. Furthermore, there are different reasons why a congregation's attendance might be low on any particular Sunday. And Jeremy and Jinger aren't on the show as regularly as the others.
Given the publicity, good and bad, that the Diggars have gotten, the fact that anything they do people criticise, people might not even want to go to the Vuolos church for fear of being seen on camera. It seems that people can't let these adult children be known for who they are instead of who they are related to, like you 10:12 p.m. and 12:28 p.m., are focusing on. They are a part of a family that made reality TV fame you know if them because of it so why would you think they wouldn't appear on the show sometimes?

    10. Anonymous 8:16... Are you saying only Christians or better yet your definition of Christians can comment here. WOW

  3. It's lovely! Not too fancy and not a lot of distractions like many churches I've seen. Congratulations!

  4. Congratulations..God is good. You have a beautiful family. Getting anxious for the new show tomorrow night.

  5. Jinger is not a church employee. She is the spouse of one. It’s not her church.

    1. She attends service there right? Then it's her church too!

      Delete
    2. ??? Jinger attends this church so it's HER church. If you're a member of a church, then it's YOUR church.

      Delete
    3. Of course it's her Church. She is a member of the Church faithful and it is her Church. Being an employee does not mean anything. I'm sure she donated a lot of money to HER Church.

      Delete
    4. Yes, but as a couple, being one with the Lord (one flesh and one spiritually) they minister together.

      Delete
    5. It is the parishioners church and Jinger is a parishioner. So it is her church as well 💜

    6. They are partners OK, if U will ,"The Wife", has to do as much as the, "The Husband", has to do, good luck U 2, and take care!!!!!

    7. In the words of a children’s song I learned many many years ago...the church is not a building, the church is a not a steeple, the church is not a resting place, the church is the people. I am the church, you are the church, we are the church together... What this particular group of the church has is a new building and its purpose is to serve the church so it absolutely belongs to all the congregants

      Delete
    8. Yes this is Jinger's church. You at 12:21, obviously dont attend a church or you would know that you dont have to be an employee for it to be YOUR church.

    9. Sorry, I meant to say, "...one in the Lord" - 1:50pm

  8. What a beautiful church, I love churches like this & it's so good to see a church that isn't hundreds of years old with stained glass windows (as lovely as those churches are) it's 2019 & nice to see a modern church that would be an encouragement for people to attend & feel happy in. When I go to my local church in the UK it's very beautiful but very old & often has quite a depressive feel to it, I would love to attend Jeremy & jingers church. Good luck to them both in their new environment.

    1. Fuzzyferet, I would be interested to know if you attend a Church of England church, or a different one, if you wouldn't mind saying. Just curious, that's all.

      Delete
    2. If rather the stained glass windows. People had pride in their buildings and architecture back in the day. The newer churches are boring and cookie cutter like

  9. He sure is packing them in. So many disguised as empty seats.

    1. There is absolutely no need to be rude. I am surprised that this comment made it on the post. It is "insulting, derogatory, and in poor taste."

      Delete
    2. Yeah. That is a little weird for opening a new church building. I don't think this church is self sufficient. It appears more like a "seeded church" supported by a much larger church. Nothing wrong with that as many thriving churches got their start in that manner.

      Delete
    3. If this is at the 5:30 a.m. service, I'm not surprised. Unfortunately, too many churches have empty seats; leading a Christian life is not easy. As Jessa said in an earlier show, Christians aren't perfect; they're forgiven.

    4. Don't be hateful. Really?

      Delete
    5. Half are probably Duggars. They were down there recently.

      Delete
    6. That was unkind. Perhaps the photo was taken between services before everyone arrived. Jesus said the church is a body whenever "one or two are called together in my name." There is room to grow and that is a beautiful blessing! Congratulations on the new building!

      Delete
    7. Their old church was small and could only seat a certain number... there are fire codes. Hopefully with a larger space more will come and worship

      Delete
    8. They have a 5:30 am service? I have never heard of one that early.

      Delete
    9. Anon 12:38 5:30 a.m. service? This isn't a Catholic church so I doubt they do Morning Mass. Most likely they moved into a much larger building in the hope the congregation would increase in numbers.

    10. Anon 12:05 When I read their comment I laughed lol. They are just being funny. Actually my whole family is like that and brings humor into pretty much every situation, which makes life a little easier at times. lol We all know what God says about don't despise the day of small beginnings and that applies to us in our individual lives and also to a New Young Church getting started. If Jeremy stays faithful to God and to his parishioners then God will increase the Church and we all know that. So don't take such offense over things.

    11. Sadly the original commenter is under the impression that people are there to see Jeremy. Maybe I’m old fashioned, but I thought people went to church for Jesus.

    12. They were meeting in a tiny space before and even that wasn't packed. Watch the sermon videos.

  10. So happy for them! Very exciting to see where the Lord takes them and what he'll continue to do thru their faithfulness 💜💜💜

  13. that church looks almost identical to my husband's church!!

    1. Yes. Architects have sets of church plans already drawn. All you have to do is pick one from their catalogue.

    2. 10:23: if it is your husband's church then it is also your church as well.

      Delete
    3. 11:05, she could be talking about her husband's church that he grew up in or maybe she doesn't attend with him. Why correct someone when you don't know the situation?

      Delete
    4. 11:05. Please get a life and stop making rude comments please. I assume you are one of the people on this page who likes to stir things up.

      Delete
    5. To 1:03. I am well aware of her "situation". Thou shalt not judge.

      Delete
    6. Your husband's church is considered your church too

      Delete
    7. Your husband's church. You should be worshiping together.

    8. What situation?

      Delete
    9. 8:02, how do you know the situation of "unknown"?

      Delete
    10. The older churches look nicer

      Delete
  14. The extra seats leave room for growth. It would have made no sense to move into a building that the congregation already filled.

  15. I wonder if they will have services in Spanish for the 96% of Laredo that is Spanish speaking. Jeremy can do the church services in English @ 9am, and another Minister can do the Spanish services at 11am for example. That's probably why there are not many parishioners shown in the above picture?

    ReplyDelete
  16. Can't help but wonder if TV money made this new location possible.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. That is highly unlikely. I think this church is being sponsored by another much larger church. I doubt Jeremy makes enough off the TV show to pay for this type of building.

      Delete
    2. It doesnt matter if "tv" made this possible or not. That is obviously part of the Vuolos income so there is nothing wrong with it
