    1. Mary, nope. It goes to faith2action. Could be a business trip for Josh since the group's agenda is much the same as the one he works for.

  5. Why do the banquets etc that the Duggars appear in have to be so expensive! Most families would like to go but can't because of the expense! I have attended many godly speakers conferences & have never had to pay over $20.... Just saying

    1. It isn't a conference, you are right. This is a fundraiser: Duggars are a great attraction, so if 500 people (who have the money) attend the group will have $10,000 in profit to spend on tts activities. Some of what the Duggars do is outreach to fans - meet and greets, book signing, etc and some is financial support for things they believe in which brings them to events like this.

  11. Sorry, but as far as I'm concerned charging to see the Duggars is ridiculous. If proceeds go towards a charity or something similar, then fine. But charging just for the sake of it is just plain greedy. If their purpose is to be an encouraging ministry/outreach. Then seeing them should before no or little cost. Don' t get me wrong, I love the Duggars. But this and book signing are both things I disagree with. Jesus didnt charge people to see him, his words were free to all. And I don't think he would of been in the business of giving autographs either. So why should we, as believers feel we have the right to charge people etc? This kinda irks me a little. It may of been their publicist that put them up to it though. Oh wel.

  12. Are young fans able to attend with their parent(s)? Because I'm only 14, and I really would like to meet the Duggar family.

  14. if reports that its a fundraiser are true then id be happy to pay. but if its a confrence in general then i dont agree necessarily with it. steve and teri maxwell do not charge for their confrences at all. they bear the cost themselves. and they travel all over the states and canada.

    Hi Kenzie,

We passed your question along to the organization. Here is their response:

"If we didn't love children, our speakers wouldn't be the Duggars! :). EVERYONE is welcome--especially kids and teens! :). There are toys in the auction!!!"

    Hope you can make it!

  18. they are having and AUCTION TOO! are these used toys or new if used how do we know they have been cleaned from bacteria. where does this money go?

  19. people do not get it this is how the duggars make their living. off the show and events like this. Jim Bod or Michelle do not hold down any jobs. And they do own rentals but that is not going to pay the bills for over 20 people each month.
