This is so cute! Can't wait to see the full episode:)
ReplyDeleteI wonder what pranks they played at this wedding? HA-HA:) So cute
ReplyDeleteLooks like it's set up for a dinner to be served. That's a lot of tables and chairs though, and close together, during a pandemic. Our daughter is getting married this June and instead of 200 guests, like they planned, we might be able to have 50, but it might only be 20, depending on where we are in Covid numbers.
ReplyDeleteIn Sweden we have a restriction of 8 people, so even 50 sounds like a crowd ;)
DeleteTexas just removed lots of restrictions including the mask mandates
DeleteThe tables are more than two meters apart, they might seem near because the chairs are pulled out,and that was a small building so they obviously didn't have many guests, we'll find out on the show maybe 50,thats why they didn't do the wedding in the usual large churches they have used in the past.
DeleteTruthie - That’s true, but the wedding happened before that.
DeleteEnough with the hysteria. Live your lives. You've all been duped.
DeleteTruthie: Just because Texas did that does not mean it was the right thing to do. I fail to understand how you can open up 100% AND take away the mask mandate. Wearing a mask protects yourself and others. I feel only sympathy for the frontline workers in that state. I'd consider moving out!
DeleteIn a senior home in this country, there is an outbreak of a COVID-19 variant even though all the residents and the staff have been vaccinated. Those who are sick are not as sick as they would have been, without the vaccination, but they still are sick!
Delete@9:54 We have an outbreak around here in a nursing home too. Not all the staff agreed to be vaccinated (I don't know how they were allowed to keep their jobs) and only about 90% of the residents had been, for some reason. They started letting some visitors back and they almost immediately had an outbreak. It's too soon to let guards down!
DeleteI thought the vaccine was to make you less sick and that it wouldn't keep you from getting covid, so an outbreak could still happen even if 100% of employees and residents were vaccinated.
DeleteThe covid shot is supposed to lessen your symptoms, not keep yourself from catching covid OR spreading it. It's not like a regular vaccine.
Delete@3:03, you are right.
Delete@7:22 Regular vaccines also do not stop you from getting a disease or stops you from spreading the disease too. That is why we need as many people vaccinated as possible since vaccines do reduce the production of virus in an infected person.
10:46, if the vaccine doesn't keep me from making you sick, then it should be my choice whether I want to have it or not, especially one that has literally zero studies on long-term effects.
Delete10:46, there have been no long-term studies on this gene-therapy shot, so we don't know how it will work long-term, what long-term side effects it may have, etc. More covid vaccine shots = more Guinea pigs.
DeleteNice😊. Looks like TLC wasn't invited. I think that's a good thing.
ReplyDeleteTime 4:18PM Tues 3/2/21
ReplyDeleteSaw the video so beautiful.
It ended just now at 4:18PM.
Claire is now Mrs Claire Duggar.
Beautiful bride & handsome groom
Justin. Congrats.❤❤❤❤
Who or what is Gabenator Films? Not TLC.
ReplyDeleteI presume all those tlc crew wasn't going to fit in that small venue because they already filled it to its maximum limit with guests allowing social distancing, so they had to hire a photography/filming agency that sent just the one photographer/cameraman and he worked on between the guests to keep with distancing rules, that's why tlc haven't announced it on their website yet as they need to organise the editing, we should get a premiere date soon.
DeleteSeems to be a film made by a friend. If it's released already, then it's questionable that TLC filmed too.
DeleteBeauyiful wedding teaser. Claire looked stunning, loved her hair and the dress was so beautiful. Justin looked SO in love and handsome. Best Wishes and Congratulations to both of them for a long and happy life.
ReplyDeleteI love how she did her hair! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful congratulations to you both.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Congratulations 🎊🎈🎉 to both of you.
ReplyDeleteI really liked the Sneak Peek youtube clip, and I can't wait, to see more.
ReplyDeleteLoved her dress and the flowers in her hair. Wishing them many happy years together. The Duggars all seem to marry well.
ReplyDeleteHer hair flowers and most especially her bouquet were entirely too big.
DeleteNah, her hair and flowers looked great.
DeleteHer bouquet was bigger than she is.
DeleteSure grabbed her hard enough for that kiss.
ReplyDeleteI know right! I was thinking the same thing!
DeleteMy thought exactly 😂
DeleteAnd the music build-up and crescendo made it seem even harder. But it did not seem as awkward as some of the other first kisses.
DeleteAnother cringeworthy first kiss. I am so sad for her.
DeleteI dont think this was their first kiss. I hope they Will be happy together. Her hair looked very pretty
DeleteI watched it after reading these comments, and their first kiss wasn't at all what you all are describing. She was pulling him in too. It wasn't an awkward, long kiss or a sloppy kiss. Quick, to the point, nothing cringe-worthy about it, and certainly not anything to feel sad about. 🙄
DeleteI was cringing too! He grabbed her too hard. It was so very awkward.
DeleteHe did grab her pretty hard and her pulling him in looked like both a little for effect and it would cause him to have to pull back a little. Not trying to be critical here, and I know in their culture their wedding day is "supposed to be their first kiss", but don't any of these kids see their parents kissing each other? How many times have we viewers seen Jim Bob and Michelle kissing on camera? Surely their sons should have some clue how to kiss a woman by now. LOL Josiah did the grabbing thing, Justin too. Not sure if they just think it's funny to be over the top about it (hamming it up), if they're making some kind of statement (like "Now we're gonna kiss/can kiss!"), or what. To each their own, just glad it wasn't me. LOL
DeleteThat was very a nice video clip of Claire & Justin's wedding. Thank you. I can't wait to see the courtship, engagement, wedding & honeymoon. I can't wait to watch they're full story from beginning & beyond on counting on season 12. Natasha b
ReplyDeleteHappy 33rd birthday Joshua James Duggar. I hope you had a great day.
DeleteIt looks like it was a very beautiful wedding for the young couple & Justin looked much more mature in his wedding photos. I wish we could have nice weddings here in the UK but we are only allowed 13 people. My friends daughter has had to postpone her ceremony 3 times because of covid, it’s so very sad for them when they just want a nice day with family & friends. It looks like there were lots of people to celebrate with the young couple here & I hope they go on to have a happy life together, & that they were both ready for this marriage at so tender an age.
ReplyDeleteCongrats!
ReplyDeleteWhat a handsome couple they make. Claire's wedding gown is beautiful. God Bless.
ReplyDeleteJoan,Marion and Marilyn
That was wonderful. Congratulations again Justin and Claire!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Claire’s hair was positively gorgeous! Congratulations! ❤️
ReplyDeleteNothig special about a ponytail with way too big flowers stuck in it
DeleteThat's not a ponytail. Watch the video again. It's an elaborate braid.
DeleteI think it's referred to as a "relaxed braid" and seems to be trending on a number of hairstyle websites. I also think it suited her style, her facial features, and her hair type beautifully.
Delete9:33, agree. Her hair style looked very pretty on her. Nothing "ponytail" about it, unless you think every hairstyle that's pulled back is called a ponytail.
DeleteLooks like a ponytail on the side to me.
Delete8:57, a pony tail has the hair falling free, not twisted or braided.
Delete8:57, a ponytail is gathered at the top and hangs loose. Her hair is not hanging loose. It's in a braid, twisted together.
DeleteAw, looks like it was a beautiful wedding.
ReplyDeleteOkay, this video was done really well and now I am pumped to see the whole thing!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely adorable video. Wedding looks a little smaller than the others and I love the decorations. Beautiful job. Both look so happy. Bless your marriage!
ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely dress Claire chose, as for the social distancing they kept the tables distanced from each other and I'm sure people can still mingle and chat to each other with a two meter distance when standing, yes I did see people close together on the background but they were probably people who came together, who knows Justin's brothers might find a girl they like among the guests that they had not met before from Claire's side of guests, that would be handy as there isn't much opportunity to meet people these days, yes I know that would break the distancing rules but they could create a bubble:that is socialize only with that family and distance from others and vice versa, yes they already have a lot of family bubbles with their married children and in laws but as long as everyone is strict and keeps to the same families it should work out, we've no choice this could last for years the way things are going.
ReplyDeleteIt’s interesting that they’ve already released footage of their first kiss. Other Duggar couples usually waited to for that footage to air on tv. TLC also hasn’t acknowledged the wedding on their social media pages. I guess this means they didn’t film the wedding for the show.
ReplyDeleteWho knows what happened? TLC doesn't seem all gung-ho over this wedding. The big question is will there be another season?
Delete2:50 - I’m honestly starting to think there won’t be. The seasons have been getting more and more repetitive with just weddings and babies and people are starting to get bored. TLC has also premiered shows with other large families like Welcome to Plathville which has more new and exciting content imo. We’ll see what happens I guess.
DeleteIt really is time for TLC to move on to another subject, more in line with the other reality shows they have on their schedule. TLC's heart hasn't been in this show for years, which is apparent with the way they show only the goofiest of scenes and have to make up games for something to film. I don't know why the Duggars go along with that.
DeleteReally worried there won't be another seaskn ...
DeleteWhy is that a worry for you 1:35. The Duggars can get on with their lives and not have to worry about public image. That would be a good thing for them.
DeleteI think many of the adult might feel it's time to just live life and raise their families without all the tv stuff.
DeleteOk, I‘ll go first: these many chairs/tables in the midst of one obviously closed room waiting for the reception... I thought there was a pandemic and the need for social distancing??? I really do hope they didn‘t have this many people tucked together inside!!
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand: she was a gorgeous and radiant bride, Justin looked handsome, too - but - IMHO - he looks like 15... Wishing them only the best for their marriage.
Texas doesn't care about gatherings and now they're wide open again, without any mask rules. Their numbers will soon tell if that was a bad decision.
DeleteTexas just announced 100% open.
DeleteThe room wasn't too big because they had a much smaller guest allowance to keep it small and the tables were kept the required distance, they just seemed close because the chairs were pulled out but once people sit to eat they will pull them back in closer to the table, they seem to be doing well at following the rules.
DeleteYes, but how will all the guests get to their socially distanced seats with being within 6 ft of each other along the way. It's not so much about how far apart the tables are, it's more about the traffic flow before, during, and after the event (from parking, to entering the venue (entrances/hallways/corridors/bathrooms), to getting seated prior to the wedding, to exiting their seats, to moving to the receptions area, to getting seated, to exiting your seat, to leaving the facility, and leaving the parking area. It's so much more than just how far apart the tables are. LOL
DeleteI am glad I don’t live in Texas!
DeleteFoolish move by Texas; too early!
DeleteHe needs to grow a little facial hair. Have some side burns, a shadow beard...then he wouldn’t look so much like a boy. There was a pic of him like this on here before and it grew him up like 3-5 years. Much more handsome with a little hair.
DeleteSo right, 7:29. This is going to come back and bite Texas and Florida and every other state that is opening up and dropping mask mandates before enough people are vaccinated! The British, South African, and Californian variants are spreading fast. Previous infection and current vaccinations are not going to completely help with those. Also, we don't have enough convalescent plasma from the variants to help those who get severely ill now. Plasma from Covid survivors last year does not work very well, if at all, against the new strains. That became apparent in countries where the variants first took hold. The US should have learned from that! We are not on a permanently downward slope with cases, we're on a plateau and could go right back up from there. These governors are bowing to the wishes of the impatient people (voters), not listening to doctors. Common sense should tell you that the pandemic is not over.
Delete@7:48,here in the uk when restaurants are open the tables need to have a two meter distance and you need to wear a mask when you come and go,that's the mistake they are making in some US states, they should make mask wearing mandatory if they are allowing schools and stores to open, weddings to go ahead, and so on, we can't just depend on the vaccine as it's not hundred per cent effective and so many more people have not yet been vaccinated, but who knows maybe the venue has an organized path for people to walk on the way in and out to facilitate social distancing.
Delete@12:44 All the more reason then not to drop group size and mask restrictions. We are testing, but we are not detaining.
DeleteFoolish move by Texas? Guess time will tell but South Carolina seems to have done pretty well.
DeleteTexas numbers are really high and just going yo worsen with poor choices like this wedding.
DeleteNo country can relax health restrictions until at least 70% of its population is vaccinated. Since the vaccines will not stop someone from being a carrier and hence spread the disease, strict travel restrictions will have to stay in force for at least a few years. This is a global pandemic, we will not be able to relax until 70 to 80% of the world population is protected from the various strains.
DeleteI feel sorry for all the frontline health care workers in the states that are lifting all restrictions, including masks. They are the ones bearing the brunt of the brutal work load and risk during this pandemic.
DeleteLol! Masks and metered distancing? I’m so glad I live in FL, and my family lives in Texas. We will live in freedom. Happily. Many congratulations to the couple!
DeleteLive in freedom? Or catch a virus freely and watch friends and family suffer? Being alive and healthy are more important to me than being allowed to eat indoors or going around without a mask. The restrictions are temporary. Poor health or losing a loved one are forever.
DeleteRestrictions aren't temporary. Next up is mandatory vaccines and not being allowed to travel or go into other public places if you don't want a vaccine of dubious safety.
DeleteSo fake and posed!
ReplyDeleteIt is not faked and posed. What makes you think about that? 🤷♀️
DeleteI thought the opposite!!! They looked SO relaxed and natural!!!
DeleteI agree, they looked natural. Not like all the boring, formal poses photographers were doing back when I got married.
DeleteThey were posing for pictures and those were smiles of pure joy not fake at all.
DeleteThat was a beautiful video.
ReplyDeleteDO you know if it will be on TLC
ReplyDeleteHi Shannon,
DeleteWe will let you know when we hear if any part of the wedding will be on the show. As of now, TLC has not said anything.
Lily and Ellie
I doubt any of this would be released if TLC had the filming rights. I also doubt TLC would want to get involved in an event this size during a pandemic. It would not reflect well on TLC.
DeleteThat would be strange if tlc shows the courtship and engagement but not the wedding,I thought gabenator films was hired by tlc but then again why couldn't tlc just reduce their crew for the wedding, or maybe gabenator films were just hired by the duggars and tlc have another filming that they are still in the midst of producing, I don't know, we'll have to see when the show comes on, my guess is tlc pays gabenator films for their images and shows it on the show.
DeleteFigure 8 Films is the production company responsible for Counting On and other TLC reality television series. TLC purches the show from Figure 8 Films. Gabenator Films may have been contracted for wedding coverage by Figure 8 for use on Counting On or Claire's family arranged to have her wedding filmed with no connection to Figure 8 Films or TLC. I guess we will have to wait and see.
DeleteWonderful wedding peek. Claire made a beautiful bride. Her hair was lovely. It looks like it was a very happy celebration. They look very happy together.
ReplyDeleteThis is not a “troll” question - i’m really interested to know how such a young man supports himself and a wife. If he has a trade, did he have to go through a program to get licensed? I realize that they are a wealthy family but curious to know if the kids support themselves or help Jim Bob in exchange for housing and a stipend.
ReplyDeleteEXCELLANT QUESTION. March 3, 2021 3:36pm. Be independent of working in family business. Support yourself. Pandemic lifted after wedding not before so still the Duggar's don't follow the rules. All brides are pretty have kind heart and use common sense is more important to me.
DeleteThere's NO indication that any of the Duggar sons ever went to any sort of vocational or trade school to learn building trades any get any sort of certification or license. Having seen them in action on the show, I wouldn't buy ANY house they worked on. They seem to work for J.B in some capacity or at the used car lot which seems to change hands regularly. Austin builds houses and sells them without having any known contractor's license so he too seems a bit unwilling to go through the proper channels with the building trade.
DeleteI've seen a picture of Justin wearing a Spivey construction t-shirt so I'm guessing Justin is working for his father-in-law and is living with Claire in Texas, we'll find out on the show soon enough, that's why they're telling us nothing, we need to tune in on the show to find out, I don't mind they make good use of the money they earn like buy a house and save money for their children's future, they are a sensible family in my opinion.
DeleteSomewhere along the line it was mentioned that at least one of the kids has a real estate license. That is acceptable to the Duggars, as it appears to be a family tradition. I agree, I wouldn't buy any house they have flipped or worked on, nor would I buy a car from them without first taking it to my own certified mechanic.
DeleteMy father was a certified auto/diesel/tractor-trailer mechanic (along with being certified in refrigeration systems). My Class A contractor brother began as building maintenance, moving into apprentice carpentry for a class a contractor, then into carpentry and building construction (under the same contractor), and worked for 5-10 years gaining on-the-job experience before becoming a Class A contractor. Perhaps the Duggar boys take some sort of vocational classes at a technical school (we have those in my state) and just don't publicize that on the show. I have to agree with Anonymous @ 5:57 though, there's no way I would buy a house (or have one remodeled by)/purchase a used car from someone without any certified training. Just my own life experience and opinion here.
DeleteShe was a lovely bride. Very nice wedding although it didn't seem as lavish as some of the previous Duggar weddings.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't expect the Spivey family to have the same financial resources as the Duggars, as the Spivey's are not reality TV personalities. Honestly, I'd much prefer to see a simpler wedding over a made-for-TLC wedding any day. It would be nice if the bride and groom spent as much time getting to know each other prior to the marriage, as the money and effort spent producing those large 1000+-guest wedding episodes.
DeleteGood thing, because people would be complaining if it were more elaborate. Look at what happened over a Christmas tree!
DeleteThey couldn't because of the social distancing, but they probably didn't want a lavish wedding anyway as they seem like a shy couple, which is sweet, some of the others were a bit too show off for my liking, like Jessa's horse and carriage, that just seems so attention seeking.
DeleteI am not so sure about not being lavish. They have not shown much. It could have been. They may have had fewer guests than others, but spent more per person. The empty tables could have been set up for a sit down reception. I have read that the flowers and center pieces were spectacular. Many roses, which are expensive. The roses in Claire's hair may have tied in. This was not at a church, but a a resort venue, even though it was a religious ceremony, with David Waller officiating. Being that it was at a resort, the food was probably catered, and not home done, like other Duggar weddings. One thing that seemed distinctly Duggar were the men's shoes. They seem to wear the tan shoes to all their weddings.
DeleteI can't wait to see the whole filming. It must have been beautiful.
The view of the reception area with the tables seemed to be for a much smaller guest list. It isn’t like a typical Duggar come one, come all crowd.
DeleteAt least they served their guests real food, a real sit-down meal. No melted ice cream floats in a parking lot.
DeletePerhaps Claire’s family takes Covid a bit more seriously than the Duggars or doesn’t feel the need to invite every last person they’ve said hello to in the last 10 years to their daughter’s wedding!!!
DeleteBuild you own taco is no better than an ice cream bar imho
DeleteI actually thought the taco bar was very fitting for a Texas wedding and seemed to fit their more laid-back style. My Texas friends tell me that Tex-Mex is really a thing and a huge part of Texas culture. LOL
DeleteA taco bar is always better than ice cream!
Delete10:46, I'm old enough to remember receptions that were just cake, punch, and maybe mints or nuts. I never groused or gossiped about such simple fare.
Delete@11:27 Those weddings were held earlier in the day when nobody expected a meal. You shouldn't have a 4 or 5pm wedding and then expect everyone to be satisfied with a piece of cake and a mint. The Duggars seem to favor those late afternoon weddings because it takes them all day to get organized, but they won't serve much at the reception beyond nibbles for their 1000 closest friends.
Delete2:26, that's interesting that you know the time of day that I went to all those weddings. I don't think you were quite accurate, though.
Delete@2:26 I have all the wedding newspaper columns from the women in my family, going back to the 1910's. 2:26 is right, weddings were often held earlier in the day back then than they are now. This was because the bridal couple was expected to fast before the ceremony so they could receive Communion at the church. There would be a wedding breakfast, lunch, or afternoon reception. The afternoon receptions were like a tea with cake and punch and not much more. The cake-only receptions were hard to do during WW2 when sugar and eggs were scarce. I remember one of my relatives saying that her mother had to ask everyone she knew for sugar ration coupons in order to get enough sugar for the baker to make the wedding cake. A lot of receptions were held at the house of the bride's parents, and unless they were very wealthy and had a huge house, didn't include as many guests as the Duggars invite. Other receptions 100 years ago were held at restaurants but were immediate family and a few close friends. I have relatives who had receptions at Italian restaurants at lunchtime. I think the latest (in the day) wedding in my family was at 2pm.
DeleteInteresting history, 10:13. I went to evening receptions that were just cake and punch, though.
DeleteHere's hoping that Josh, is enjoying his 33rd Birthday!!!!
ReplyDeleteYes, happy birthday Josh, hope everything is going well for you, and not just today.
DeleteLooks like this wedding was different from the other Duggar weddings. Very classy congratulations to the Claire’s parents they did an amazing job! Claire was a beautiful bride.
ReplyDeleteJustin/Claire wishing you both nothing but the best in your marriage.
How was it different? I don't see anything different from this video.
DeleteIt was outside rather than in a church, for one thing.
DeleteDefinitely looked inside to me with the lighting and the brick walls.
DeleteWatch the wedding part again. It looks like an open-air venue. You can see it to the right when they're leaving the "altar" area.
DeleteOMG can we just talk about the flowers in her wedding?! Absolutely beautiful! Her bouquet and the flowers in the background were positively stunning! I wanted really beautiful flowers in my wedding and it turned out to be cost prohibitive so I admire the flowers in their wedding perhaps a bit more than the average person <3
ReplyDeleteWell done, Justin, Claire, et al.
ReplyDeleteClassy wedding Claire! So far, the most tasteful followed by Jinger's. The Duggars as a rule have never been great at throwing weddings. One should never have a guest list larger then your budget for feeding them a meal. My word, even the weddings in the Bible included feasting - not root beer floats or a slice of cake...
Delete6:45 am: Josiah and Lauren also had a classy wedding with a sit-down dinner, that Lauren's family organized. It was one of my favorites. I agree, Jinger's was beautiful too
DeleteBeautiful wedding and gorgeous bride! Perfect wedding!!
ReplyDeleteBigger weddings=More presents!
ReplyDelete= more stuff to put in your shed = more stuff for your yard sale
DeletePretty bride!!
ReplyDeleteLooked more like a sweet 16 party to me!
ReplyDeleteOr a Quinceanera party.
Delete
