At the end of October, Jim Bob Duggar announced his candidacy for Arkansas state Senate District 7. The primary took place a few days ago, and Jim Bob lost. According to the official election results, he received just over 15% of the vote. His official statement can be found on his political Facebook page.

Following a days-long trial, attended by Anna and various Duggar family members, the jury serving in the Josh Duggar case delivered its verdict to the judge. Joshua Duggar has been found guilty on knowing receipt and possession of child pornography. He was immediately taken into custody and was able to tell Anna that he loved her before being escorted out of the court room. Jim Bob and the other family members who were in attendance accompanied Anna out of the courthouse to a waiting vehicle.
According to the prosecution, by law, Josh will be sentenced only on one count, receipt. Sentencing will take four months.

We encourage you to pray for the entire Duggar family as they deal with the emotions and aftermath of this situation. We especially encourage you to pray for Anna and her seven children. We cannot fathom the brokenness they must be feeling, and our hearts go out to them as they move forward.

Justin's birthday is the 8th of 10 Duggar birthdays and anniversaries that take place in the month of November. Now, three-and-a-half years later, Elizabeth Bontrager, a friend of the Duggars, posted another video of Josie of Josie, who turns 12 in December, singing the same song (link below). Just six months after the release of their autobiography, The Hope We Hold: Finding Peace in the Promises of God, Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo have announced another book project. This one is a 32-page children's book called You Can Shine So Bright.
Illustrated by Naomi C. Robinson, an illustrator and designer with more than 20 years of experience, the book is slated to be available August 23rd, 2022. You Can Shine So Bright retails for $17.99 and can be pre-ordered via the links on the Worthy Kids website. The target audience is children ages four through seven.
It's a busy week for Duggar anniversaries. The Seewalds celebrated seven years on the 1st, and the Vuolos will be married five years on the 5th. Today is John-David and Abbie Duggar's special day. Happy three-year anniversary to this couple! To add to the celebrations, there are seven Duggar birthdays this month, and four of those are in the first eight days.

Jeremiah Duggar just announced that he is in a relationship! And you have probably heard his girlfriend's name before, as she and her family are long-time friends of the Duggars. Jeremiah's girlfriend is Hannah Wissmann (26), the ninth of Loren and Gloria Wissmann's 13 children.

Josh Duggar appeared in court on Monday for an evidentiary hearing, reports 40/29 News, a Northwest Arkansas news organization. On its website, the network has a brief article about the hearing, as well as a video showing Josh and Anna Duggar leaving the courthouse. KNWA/KFTA News, another local news organization, reports the dates of Josh's pretrial conference (November 18, 2021) and trial by jury (November 30, 2021).
Do you remember watching "On the Road with 16 Children" back in 2006? The special followed the Duggars as they traveled cross-country with their big family. MEDIC Corps, an organization that some of the Duggars have done relief work with, has just deployed a team to Haiti. Over the weekend, Haiti was hit by a 7.2-magnitude earthquake, and the death toll is already up over 1,200. In the midst of all the devastation, residents are bracing for a tropical depression that is expected to hit in the next 24 hours.
The MEDIC Corps team that is now in Haiti includes John-David Duggar, Nathan Bates, Lawson Bates, Trace Bates, and others. Please pray that this crew would have an incredible impact as they assist the Haitian people and that they would stay safe while they work.
