  1. Happy Birthday! I love all the photos. He seems to really love the children. I know people constantly pick on this families way of life, but I've seen such character in these young men they have raised. Hope you have a grest birthday !

    2. Hopefully not. 18 is way too young to be getting married!

  15. Hope his day was good. Now about 2/3 of their children are adults.

  16. Why can't the adult kids that are not married move out on their own. I think Jana is around 28 and still living at home? I remember I couldn't wait to move out and be on my own. Is it a Duggar rule?

    1. I guess to each his own. Frankly,I'd love to be Jana, living in a family like their's, but as I said, to each his own. In my opinion, Jana is better off and no doubt happier the way she is.

    2. 3:58 I loved my parents dearly, but had I contintued to live with them on into adulthood, I would have deprived myself of the opportunity to look after myself and make my own place in the world. I cannot fathom living in an evironment where there's next to no privacy, and you're under the radar of your parents with everything you do. That's not being an adult, it's being still treated like a child.

  17. How do the Duggars define adulthood? My understanding is without marriage, adult kids are still mostly treated like children. Do they gain new privileges when they turn 18?
