New Photos, Dillard Family of 4

Even though Jill and Derick Dillard are not currently appearing on Counting On, we still want to share updates and new photos of their little family. Samuel Dillard just hit his eight-month milestone, and Israel Dillard will turn three in April.

  1. Nice dress Jill is wearing but isn't it a bit short for a Duggar?

    1. She’s a Dillard now. She’s looking great!

    2. Jill is no longer living under her parents roof, and may have changed her standards of what is and is not modest. And yes, it’s a very nice dress😍

      Delete
    3. It is. She appears to no longer follow her modesty standards that were written in the Duggar girls' book (which, according to the publication date, was written when she was 23 and then updated when she was 25. Not a teen as some have suggested).

      Delete
    4. She is married and is now free to choose how to dress.

      Delete
    5. The length of her dress is totally up to her.

      Delete
    6. Well she's a Dillard now so it's all good.

      Delete
    7. I believe she can wear what she desires to wear. She is no longer a "Duggar". Are you looking to criticize?

    8. It's their husbands decision after marriage

      Delete
    9. Kind not of none of your business what does after she married

      Delete
    10. Again...she is not a Duggar anymore, she is a Dillard...new set of rules

      Delete
    11. It looks beautiful! And she really is not a Dugger now.

      Delete
    12. Please be quiet. She looks great!

      Delete
    13. she is a dillard

      Delete
    14. She's a married woman, she can make up her own rules. I guess that jeans and a nose piercing wouldn't agree with the Duggar rules either, but Jill likes them.

    15. I think she's been around college girls and probably would like to be one herself.

    16. Proof that despite silly accusations by haters, Jim Bob does not dictate to his adult children; they make their own decisions. They are not a cult; Jim Bob is not a cult leader who controls others. He is a dad who teaches and guides his children while they are children, and lets them be adults, when they are adults.

    17. Yes, you are correct!

      Delete
    18. WHY IS EVERYONE SAYING DUGGAR VS. DILLARD! I THOUGHT MODESTY MATTERS BECAUSE OF OUR LORD... NOT A LAST NAME

      Delete
    19. Some of the comments give the impression the pic showed Jill in a string bikini or something. Having different modesty standards isn't the same as not having ANY modesty standards.

And indeed I recall some critics of the Duggars have claimed that even their "classic" modesty standards weren't modest enough, because the girls make up was too heavy, or they didn't cover their hair. Plenty who claim the girls aren't modest during pregnancy because they wear "skin tight tops".

Some people believe that ANY attempt by a man or women to increase their attractiveness, goes against the concept of modesty. The Duggars don't believe that, obviously (looks at "Duggar Hair Tutorial" video in sidebar). And before anyone asks, I am referring to Christians here, not Muslims. I'm not even going there.

    20. Modesty is wearing nice pants. skiing, and all the other sports they do calls for pants, not skirts.

  2. Love Jill"s above knee dress! Glad see the girls in updated clothes!

    1. Their clothes has been updated all along. I'm thinking you likely meant "shorter hem lines".

  3. Married girls looks so nice in their shorter dresses and skirts and pants and shorts· They are still modest and fashionable!

  4. Thank you for sharing, I still follow Jill and Derick, I hope some day that they will be back on the show. How many more episodes are left in Season 7 of Counting On, I believe I've heard 2. Seems like another short Season, hopefully they will be back early Summer.

  6. Wow, Jill looks great - her dress is lovely and she looks so slim. And the boys are both so cute - that picture of Sammy made me awww:) He's such a cutie-pie. And Israel got so big:)

  7. Why are they not appearing on Counting On any more?

    1. They quit the show. Derrick had issues with other programming TLC was airing. The other Duggars didn't share his concerns

      Delete
    2. Derick made a comment about transgenderism being a myth and that gender is ordained by God. This offended the TLC officials (TLC currently has a show about a transgender teen) and they decided not to feature Derick on the show anymore.

      Delete
    3. Derick said he pulled them out.

      Delete
    4. Derick, got into a difference of opinion/conflict with Jazz Jennings, (another star of TLC.) After that TLC discontinued any production, with Derick and Jill.

      Delete
    5. TLC censored them because of comments Derrick made about that young man from I Am Jazz 🙄🙄

      Delete
    6. It has to do with comments Derick made about Jazz on TLC.

      Delete
    7. Because Derick either quit or got fired depending on who you ask. They are experiencing the consequences of his mindless comments about others in a public forum. He might have been in a better position had he not singled out another TLC show and featured performer by name, especially since that performer is a minor.

I have read plenty of negative comments about Derick, ie., taking his family to a dangerous place to serve a mission, no job, seeking funding from others for personal development. I wonder why he would think it was ok to speak with such condemnation about another human being? I understand that he disagrees with their choices/beliefs/understanding about themselves, you can disagree without condemning the person. Aren’t we supposed to love each other as Jesus loves us? Isn’t Derick working toward being a Christian professional (pastor, missionary)? He needs to examine the delivery of his message and make sure it matches his goals.

      Delete
    8. TLC is ridiculous! So what if Derick made a comment about transgenderism. Where is Derick's right to freedom of speech TLC?

      Delete
    9. 6:08- Our freedom of speech is guaranteed only so far as the government cannot restrict it. TLC is a business and can run programming as they see fit. By the way, Derick stated on social media that it was HIS CHOICE to not have any further association with TLC. Considering he was so critical of the network and another show's star, I'd say he made the right call.

    10. Anon @8:59. We are allowed to judge sin, just not the heart or intentions of the sinner. Jesus, while He loves everyone, did tell sinners to,"Go and sin more.". It's ridiculous to say that we have to just accept all immoral behavior and not speak up. Christ gave us a rule of life to live by, and one of the spiritual works of mercy is to admonish the sinner. It isn't true love of neighbor to let him continue in sinful ways without trying to correct him. That's what I believe Derick was trying to do.

  10. Jill looks great! I know they’ll be a lot of comments about the length of her dress but I think she looks fantastic. It would have been nice for Derrick to wear something other then jeans but regardless they look wonderful!

  12. She's wearing that outfit she wore in a wedding, and he's wearing jeans? A mismatch there.

  15. she always is beautiful, but i am sure she is glad to get her little bit of baby weight off, which is hard when you have other littles. im still working mine off now! great job, Jill! stay healthy!

    1. It’s not really that hard. I have a 5 year old and a 2 month old. I’ve been wearing my prepregnancy clothes for several weeks. You just have to eat right and do some light excercise like walking. Also helps if you don’t gain a lot during pregnancy.

    2. Anonymous #2- I'm very glad it was relatively easy for you. Many moms, however, may have a more difficult time or a longer road, if the baby was transverse or their pregnancy coincided with or compounded by Thyroid disease, an auto-immune disease, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/Fibromyalgia, an unplanned Hysterectomy with Hormone Replacement Therapy, or any number of other "complicating" factors.

      Delete
    3. To Anon @ 12:54 - I didn't get the "baby weight" off for 2 years after my children were born. No medical condition. I was just hungry all the time! :)

  17. So, it’s becoming obvious that Jill and Jinger did not dress in long skirts out of personal convictions.

    1. You must realize that personal style and fashion sense change as people mature. So no, it is not at all becoming obvious! They are just normal woman, allowed to grow & change just like anyone.

  22. I just hope that Jill and Derick are satisfied with two healthy boys. Do NOT coprimise Jill's health just to have more kids. You are so fortunate to have such a great family. Jill, your health and the health of your future babies is not worth it. BE SMART. You are NOT your mom.

    1. Wasn't it Derick who said having one or two kids was for "quitters" awhile back?

    2. Yep. Right after Israel was born, I believe.

    3. So, he called his mom a quitter? Why would he say that, knowing he was one of only two?

  23. I want them back on the show!

  24. They all look well and happy. Perhaps Jill misses being on a TV show some as it was such a part of her life for so long, but she seems to have adapted. I hope Derrick has secured a good job in order to support his family.

  25. Lovely family! Remember, Jill was brought up as a Dugger but as a Dillard, she can whatever and she looks great!

  28. So ridiculous that Derrick couldn't give his honest opinion about transgenders I didn't love their family, I wouldn't watch the show anymore.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Derick said he pulled his family off the show by himself, and that they were only volunteers on it anyway. And he most certainly did give his honest opinion about transgenders. There's no law stopping him from saying anything he wants like that. There's backlash, but no law.

  29. Wow... the duggar and bates families just keep getting more worldly and worldly!!! Its so SAD! For someone who once wrote a book about modest fashion... I guess she's throwing her own words out the window!

    1. There is nothing wrong with what Jill is wearing. She looks great!

    2. I think having a TV show and doing business with People magazine are both worldly ventures.

    3. If you think what she is wearing is immodest, you may need to check your eyesight.

    4. They are just knees, People!

      Delete
    5. Completely agree @10:08!

      Delete
    6. Anonymous #4-That was just rude. Just because someone has a different standard than you doesn't mean there's anything wrong with their standard or their eyesight. The reality is that Jill went from defining and publicly espousing modesty as covered from sternum to calf for many years. Within the last year, she's thrown off her "convictions" without so much as a word of explanation. Actual convictions from God don't change; opinions do. If she so publicly "preached" it, shes equally responsible to explain it. Otherwise, she just looks like another religious hypocrite to a world already full of them. It's about her witness. Either God convicted her to wear modest clothing or He did not. If He didn't, she needs to say straight up, "that was our family's/my idea". AS for the TV show, I think Jesus, the Disciples, and the women of the New Testament were a little too busy doing the work of the ministry and building the Kingdom to film a reality TV show that mainly features them throwing extravagant weddings and endless rounds of Baby showers, parties, spa manicures/pedicures, vacations, shopping trips, and getaways.

    7. Oh, the same kind of knees that had to be blurred out when Michelle was on water skis?

  36. One of the Duggars greatest gifts to their fans was because they weren’t of the world but in the world. Jill’s dress and shoes make me think the whole show was a lie. If that’s what she wants then great but it feels like we’ve all been duped by this family....

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Why do you think you were "duped"? The Duggars are very clear about who and what they are. If they want to be on a TV show to pay for their lives and people are willing to watch the show, no one is being fooled

      Delete
    2. Robin and Dale- The Duggars have been doing business with TLC and have been on TV for a very long time. How is that NOT being "of the world"?

      Delete
    3. Yes Pam what happened to all the well-behaved kids lined up in matching long skirts and permed hair like a row of ducklings? That's who the Duggars sold themselves to be. What was on the outside wasn't supposed to matter and you didn't draw attention to anything but your countenance. They made zillions from books saying the same thing! Feels now as if those values weren't really in their hearts.

      Delete
    4. Anon 2:01. The Duggars have always been about marketing themselves. They have simply adapted to the changing market. Their values have remained pretty much the same.

      Delete
    5. "One of the Duggars greatest gifts to their fans was because they weren’t of the world but in the world."

I agree with you on this, Pam!

      Delete
    6. I don't think that it was a lie per se, it's just that being rich and famous for a long time can change you. You see that with secular celebrities too. They start off one way then they do a 180. It's very hard to be in that world.

While some of the Duggar girls are starting to conform, others like Jessa and Joy have not. Yet.

      Delete
    7. Not sure if this'll make it, but...I think it's very unfair to bash the whole family because of what Jill is or isn't wearing. Were Josh's very worldly actions, also a sign that the whole family was out to fool everyone with the show?

Children don't always follow exactly in their parents' footsteps. I can tell JB is trying really hard to make sure they do that. But I doubt he will succeed with all 19 of his children, because in the end they have free will and can reject what their parents taught them.

Even the great Billy Graham had many of his children rebel. Does that mean he was out to fool everyone, too?
