Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth are on the trip of a lifetime! Two-and-a-half weeks ago, they shared a honeymoon video message from beautiful Switzerland. Now, they are in Israel. The newlyweds spent their one-month anniversary, which was yesterday, at the Sea of Galilee.

Sounds like a great honeymoon.
ReplyDeleteTheir honeymoon was in Switzerland
DeleteLooks like they are still on their honeymoon.
DeleteThey went to Switzerland first, now they're in Israel.
Delete9:23 - And Israel :)
Deleteso happy for them
ReplyDeleteLove these two! How wonderful for them to be able to go to Israel. Enjoy each moment together.
ReplyDeleteHow do two young adults afford this.
ReplyDeleteHe has been flipping houses since he was 17. (Has flipped five for a profit) Joy Anna has money from the show. They are likely doing quite well for a young couple.
DeleteThey have a reality show.
DeleteAustin has flipped 5 houses, in addition to whatever else he has earned working at his parents business, etc. in the 5 or 6 years since he finished school. He likely has saved up a substantial amount for a fabulous honeymoon and getting them started in life, rather than frittering it away on nonsense like most people.
DeleteTLC pay's for participation in episodes.
DeleteWould be surprised if they aren't filming the honeymoon.
I'm just thinking it's great they can enjoy and share.
Much different experience than with 18 siblings.
Hope they stay safe and smart over there.
He's already flipped five houses.
DeleteTLC.
DeleteThey air every moment of their honeymoon on television. My guess is TLC is paying for a lot of it.
DeleteI'm pretty sure TLC is paying for it, but Austin has flipped 5 house to which adds up.
DeleteThe man flipped 5 houses, he most likely has plenty from it. Young doesn't mean broke.
DeleteHe's flipped 5 houses. He earned the money for their travels.
DeleteIf you didn't pay anything on then it's none of our business. Obviously, he's a hard worker considering he has bought 5 houses, flipped them & sold them. How many 23 yr olds have done that??? The Duggars work hard.
DeleteMaybe they save..
DeleteJust be happy for them.
DeleteI'm sure tlc is paying for it I'm sure they will be giving us clips on their honeymoon like they did with jinger and Jeremy ..or they have been around long enough to where they have the money to go on trips like this ..they have came a long way from buy used save the difference they haven't used that motto in a long time since they been around for a while now .however they got to their location in sure it's beautiful
DeleteNone of anyone buisness really...it coyld be a myriad of ways, by the way...lets just be happy for this young couple without all the how to's where for's and what if's...can we now...blessings 😇
DeleteAustin has flipped 5 homes, and Joy has TV money plus probably appearance fees, book income, etc.
DeleteThey're on a successful TV show
DeleteHe has flipped 5 houses... that alone has made him a stash... also they are thrifty and they don't have a burden load of school debt nor a party life!!!!
DeleteTlc paid for it. But really, it's none of our concern.....
DeleteProbably through TLC, watch for the episodes!
DeleteBecause he has a job. Some say it's TLC but they could afford this with or without the show.
DeleteNo one really knows their financial state. Just because a young man has a job it doesn't mean he could afford a month long honeymoon. If TLC wants to pay for it, then thats up to them. No need to get so defensive when people say that TLC is probably paying for it. They probably are, and in return they get to film it. Personally, I would not want camera crews following me around on my honeymoon. Im sure its a contractual thing.
DeleteHe is not flipping $1M homes. Even at 5 homes it is just a beginning. My husband has flipped homes. It is not as easy nor as profitable as you might think. They must have other resources.
Deletewhy bis it any of your business? You should just be happy for them or just dont' come on here
DeleteIt's great to see Joy Anna wearing jeans:-)
ReplyDeleteI think that might be a denim skirt.
DeleteIt's a skirt look closer. I don't think her thigh is that thick.
DeleteJeans skirt
DeleteShe's not! It's a Jean Skirt :-)
DeleteShe is wearing jean skirt.
DeleteIt's a skirt
DeleteThat may be a denim skirt . 🙄
DeleteShe's wearing a jean skirt.
DeleteShe has on a skirt?
DeleteI'm sure it's jean skirt
DeleteIt's her jean skirt.
DeletePretty sure that's a jean skirt
DeleteThat's a denim skirt.
DeletePretty sure it's just a denim skirt.
DeleteIt looks more like a skirt but she wore pants a few years ago. Check the 2015 blogs.
DeleteWow. This is a bit much. Austin has only flipped 5 homes and they can afford to be world travelers every month?
ReplyDeleteReally nobody's business but theirs, is it?!
DeleteIts most likely on TLC'S dime. Probably being filmed to be shown next season when its six months old.
DeleteHe married a reality show star.
DeleteJoy and her family are cast members in a reality television show.
DeleteI'm sure tlc paid for it or the money they make from the show
DeleteI think it's great that they are traveling now, it's much harder once you have children. And he worked very hard for the money- they should celebrate together!
DeleteThey collect TLC paychecks and People magazine paychecks, as well as Austin flipping houses.
DeleteCool isnt it?😁🤗👍
DeleteWhat does it matter?
DeleteThey are on a tlc budget ofcourse. Which is fine, they're being filmed. This is the only trip they'll get to make by themselves in their lifetime, untill they're 60 or so. Kids will be next, and it is so much harder traveling with them.
DeleteTLC
DeleteI have a feeling TLC might have gifted the couple with a honeymoon.
DeleteI'm sure Joy brings in plenty of money considering the fact that she's part of a successful TV show...
DeleteWhy does it matter what they do? Austin has a job and they can travel if they want <3
DeleteFabulous honeymoon, wow, trip of a lifetime for sure!!!!!! What a beautiful way to begin a life together. So happy for them.
ReplyDeleteGetting to go to Israel would be a trip of a lifetime for me also. Not even 25 years old and taking a trip of a lifetime. How lucky can you get!!!!!Jane
ReplyDeleteIs it luck or good planning, hard work, and wise saving.
DeleteNo its TLC, but good for them!
DeleteNone of the above! It's TLC!
DeleteIt's TLC!
DeleteGood planning? Wise saving? Should use the money toward a house to live in.
DeleteBeing on a reality TV show didn't hurt either. ;)
DeleteIts having a family with a reality TV show.
DeleteActually Joy has been there before with her family. Remember when they were baptized in the Jordan River?
DeleteSo, she has gotten to go TWICE in her 19 years! Lucky... I say Lucky...
Is it a correct assumption (from the t shirts) that Austin is from Texas?
ReplyDeleteI cannot believe he would wear a shirt like that in another country.
Deleteyes he is from Texas
DeleteNo, he and Joy grew up together. He's from Arkansas too.
DeleteI've been wondering the same thing. He's constantly wearing Texas t-shirts.
DeleteMaybe it's because Austin,Texas and the capital of Texas is Austin. Just a thought. Some people have done stranger things. Laugh out Loud. This blog does get too serious sometimes....Jane
DeleteAll those Texas T-shirts are a bit much. When you travel outside of your country, you should try to blend in with the locals. Advertising where you are from as if 'hey look at me' puts a barrier between you and new experiences.
DeleteWe shouldn't be ashamed of our country. All someone has to do is talk to a person to know they aren't from their country. Usually you can look at someone and tell anyway. He isn't wearing clothing that is an anyway derogatory about the country he is visiting. The barrier exists no matter what you are wearing. Trying to blend in when you don't makes people stand out sometimes too.
DeleteWhat's wrong with a Texas t-shirt in another country if Austin and Joy are well-mannered and polite (which I'm pretty sure they are)? Are Europeans really that petty and/or delicate?
DeleteYes, Austin and his family are originally from Texas but they moved to Arkansas when he was a child.
DeleteI live in Los Angeles, where travelers stick out like a sore thumb, but so what? I'm pretty sure no one cares what t-shirt Austin wears.
DeleteI would like to go to Israel for a tour.
ReplyDeleteGood for Austin and Joy! They are really living!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful! That truly is a trip of a lifetime!
ReplyDeleteThey are blessed to go to the Holy Land. I hope they have a wonderful time.
ReplyDeleteThis seems like a really long trip; how long are they on their honeymoon for?
ReplyDeleteRead carefully... it said they went for their one month anniversary. Not that they've been gone a month.
DeleteNo anonymous @9:14. They are still on their honeymoon. They haven't been back. Joy said on their wedding day that they were going to be traveling for a while.
DeleteI think you're wrong .. I think they've been gone a month. Good for them !
DeleteLol... even my one week trip per year to Florida cost a couple thousand dollars. We flip houses on the side, my husband works at the Nissan plant as an engineer, and I am a registered nurse.
DeleteThat is awesome...what a privilege to see the holy land. Safe travels and God Bless.
ReplyDeleteNow that's a honeymoon to remember! They are so blessed to have this time together to explore new places. 😁
ReplyDeleteWonderful! I always wanted to go to Israel. Enjoy your honeymoon!!
ReplyDeleteSharon frm SC
What an amazing trip and a blessing to go there!
ReplyDeleteSo happy to get an update from them. It is truly a trip of a lifetime!
ReplyDeleteWow, Joy-Anna's still on her honeymoon, and she's not even wearing her wedding ring!
ReplyDeleteI didn't take mine on my honeymoon- not always safe to take it when traveling
DeleteNot safe to take your wedding ring? I wouldn't take mine off!
DeleteThat's perfectly normal, especially when traveling. I know plenty of people who was afraid to travel with their wedding ring when newly wedded because they are afraid to lose it.
DeleteOh my goodness! That's sooo beautiful there! I was there last year and would love to go there again!
ReplyDeletei love your show, and I visit your website often. It would be really nice if the videos did not start to play automatically ...I start looking at the photos, but then I have to scroll down to the video, stop it,then go back to the top to the pictures I was looking at previously
ReplyDeleteHi there,
DeleteGlad to have you as a reader. :) We have spoken with TLC, and they are unfortunately unable to turn off autoplay on the videos hosted by their site.
Lily and Ellie
The can't or they don't want to?
DeleteOne thing you can do is turn off the audio when you visit this site. The video will still play but you can ignore it, because you cannot hear it.
Delete@Anonymous @3:05 PM
DeleteYeah, I have the same problem.
Wow! What an amazing way to start their married life together!
ReplyDeleteWow that's great!
ReplyDeleteWhoever has a negative comment on here is just jealous. I'm a little jealous myself but I truly wish them the very best!
I imagined it was going to be a longer honeymoon than the other girls because of Joy's comment that they were going to be traveling for a while.
Your statement about other people being jealous is way off base.
Delete3:56 I think 3:46 statement is right on base. A lot of jealous readers out there.
DeleteI think it was jealousy too. Sad but some people have issues with that.
DeleteWhy is it "off base"? I know it's hard to admit that you're jealous
DeleteI agree with the jealously comment.
DeleteI don't know why anyone would be bitter or condescending about someone else's life. I'm really happy for them. I travelled a lot before I had kids and I don't regret a bit of it. It's much harder and more costly when you have kids and you don't get as much time as a couple. I think it's a great way to start their lives together.
DeleteI wholeheartedly agree anon 3:46...You can tell by their comments...so sad really...Im jealous in a good way as I'm happy for them and wish them tyhe best. If you however sound condescending and judgemental and non supportive then....well...must be envious to a fault. Sooo happy for this young exciting couple exploring the world together...I hope there are many many many more fabulous trips to come...blessings on your travels and married life😎✌
Deletenot really
DeleteNo, not really, right on point actually
DeleteHappy for them to have this experience! They'll be making such great memories, I'm sure! ~Rose
ReplyDeleteLove this! Glad they have so much time to travel before going home.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to have this special time together. Such interesting places they are seeing. Eileen
ReplyDeleteWow, great honeymoon!
ReplyDeleteThey are very wise to put their money into a nice honeymoon instead of a wedding.
ReplyDeleteThey invited 1000 people to their wedding. How is that not "putting money" into it? Granted, they gave them cupcakes instead of a meal, but otherwise they had the whole experience, the church, the big dress, the flowers, the huge bridal party......
DeleteShe has a wedding ring. And your ignorant comment is unnecessary. Maybe it's getting sized. Or maybe the engagement and wdddinf ring are getting soddered together. I didn't have mine the first 6 weeks I was married. Go read the kardasians. They may be more your cup of tea.
DeleteCONGRATULATIONS to the happy couple. Stay safe. God bless! ❤️
ReplyDeleteWho pays for these lavish honeymoon trips?
ReplyDeleteProbably them... see when people work hard, don't have all the student loan debt, and don't live the party life.. they live frugally. You can actually afford stuff
DeleteWhy do you care? Are you offering a donation? If not, mind your own business.
DeleteWhy does it matter?
DeleteNot you so none of your business.
DeleteTLC is paying!
Deleteat 3:46pm-----I had to reread your comment.....other people are jealous
ReplyDeleteIn their comments ? ....and you admit you're jealous !
...What ? Sounds a little loopy.
Jealous in a good way 🙃
DeleteBecause I would love to be there myself with my spouse. But I wouldn't be tearing them down because they get to have a trip of a lifetime and I don't. God bless
Wow only 19 and I believe this is the 2nd time she's been there if I'm not mistaken. She's very blessed to have this once in a lifetime experience at such a young age. Hope she remembers and appreciates it forever!
ReplyDeleteBoy that is a fabulous honeymoon. Switzerland then Israel?! So awesome!! You go Joy!! Happy for you two, you guys are a cute couple!!
ReplyDeleteOne thing I wonder though, why did Jill and Derrick only getto go to the Carolinas for their honemoon? Jessa went to Europe/Paris. Jinger went to Australia. Now Joy gets Israel. I hope TLC sends Jill and Derrick on a truly wonderful trip someday, maybe like a post babymoon. They could always bring a few of Jill's siblings along to babysit. It just seems like they were a little short-changed by TLC, in terms of their honeymoon!
When Jill and Derick married, there was still 19 Kids and Counting and featured trips by the whole Duggar family to Israel, Japan etc. Now the show is all about the young couples and now they send the couples and not the whole family. By the way, I wonder if Joseph and Kendra will go to Africa.
DeleteMaybe they didn't want the cameras present. Maybe that's where they wanted to go. I am sure they enjoyed Thierry honeymoon regardless of location.
DeleteI remember reading somewhere that Jill and Derick did not want their honeymoon filmed, they wanted complete privacy. Because of that, TLC did not pay.
DeleteShe got a big trip to Katmandu to meet Derick....
DeleteSo Joe & Kedra had a registry with a September date and now it's been changed to an October date? What gives? Or are they fake registries? They looked very real, right down to the picture, which is new and looks like it was from an engagement photo session.
ReplyDeleteThey are probably fake registries like what happened to Joy-Anna and Austin.
DeleteJoy had a fake wedding date (which many fans believed) so there's a chance they are doing that also. Last thing they want is fans to show up on their special day.
DeleteWhere is her wedding ring???
ReplyDeleteNormally newlyweds are afraid to wear their ring because they don't want to lose it.
DeleteLooks like they had been swimming. I would take it off too...
DeleteGetting sized? Getting soddered?
DeleteAnonymous June 29, 2017 at 6:01 AM
DeleteGetting sized? Getting soddered?
"Soldered" is the correct spelling.
Soddered?
DeleteTake pictures of the Holy Land and send them to Ellie to put on the blog. Thanks
ReplyDeleteI would love that.
DeleteSo happy for you both! I want to go to Israel! Wish I had made that a priority over some of the other trips I've made!
ReplyDeleteNo wedding ring.... and only a month in
ReplyDeleteMy mother never took her wedding ring off from the day she got it until the day she passed away, 60+ years later. She always felt as if a spell would be broken if she took it off, kind of like Dorothy without her ruby slippers. I thought it was neat how she put her mind to something and kept that commitment her whole life.
DeleteIt's not always wise to have valuables when traveling abroad.
DeleteThey are traveling and that's how some newlyweds are because they are afraid to lose their ring.
DeleteOh yes, it's probably a scandal. Maybe it's getting sized. Or soddered. Why be so critical. You must have a miserable marriage and lonely life to be so judgemental of others.
DeleteSnappy 6:03...she only asked where the ring was at and made a little joke. Don't take life so serious. Speaking from experience, most women are so excited to get that ring and refuse to take it off after the long wait on Mr. Right. Take a deep breath and chill.
DeleteSo great for Austin and Joy!! My dream vacation is to go Israel! Such a Godly young couple - this world needs more young Christian examples like these two!
ReplyDeleteBetty,
DeleteMany young Christians have been great examples to me and I'm 56 years old!
It looks like they are having a great time, very memorable, that's for sure! I assume that TLC helps pay for the honeymoon - not that we'll ever know for sure. I was sort of surprised Joy wasn't wearing her wedding rings!
ReplyDeleteWhy do you care who pays for the honeymoon?;And what are you "really" suggesting about her not wearing her wedding rings? A lot of people don't travel with jewelry.Wish them well and keep other things to yourself. Not very polite.
DeleteWhen traveling and if you are a newlyweds, sometimes they are afraid to lose their rings.
DeleteDid you also use some common sense and think there's probably a legitimate reason why?
DeleteI love this photo with the sunset behind them. I'm glad they are enjoying married life
ReplyDeleteMy question is who took the photo? The chaperone??
DeleteTLC film crew.
DeleteMaybe a nice passerby took the photo.
DeleteWhere's her engagement and wedding ring? I've been anxious to see them!
ReplyDeleteAre you asking where the rings are because you're anxious to see them? Or, are you just gossiping?
Deleteher hair is wet. They had been swimming
Deletegossiping? that doesn't even make sense..just like this person...i really love to see any married couples rings it makes me smile :)
DeleteWow! You need Jesus Kathryn Rae! Why are you attacking/judging everyone"s comments?
Deletewow, a 1 month honeymoon? they sure have a lot of money! so jealous!
ReplyDeleteActually, it is more travel-savvy to NOT wear expensive jewelry while traveling, especially when visiting tourist areas- jewelry can attract pick pockets and worse.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the happy new couple.
ReplyDelete
