Joseph Duggar and girlfriend Kendra Caldwell
Today we have some older photos to show you from the Central American mission trip that Jim Bob Duggar took with his five oldest daughters four years ago. Why the random throwback post? You'll soon understand. :)
We posted these pictures back in 2013, but in light of the recent courtship announcement, we want to highlight a few of them. Do you recognize the girl who appears in all the snapshots below?

She is adorable!!
ReplyDeleteThose are great pics!
ReplyDeleteSo happy for them!<3
She seems so sweet. I can't wait to see their courtship on Counting On this summer!
ReplyDeleteSince Kendra went on this trip with the Duggars, I'm sure her sister chaperoned her. With a crowd this size, what and where were her accommodations? I'm sure she didn't sleep in the bus with Jim Bob and the Duggars. Where did Kendra and her sister sleep on this trip? How about Jinger & Jeremy, and the other married ones?
ReplyDeleteWe've seen the kids all sleeping dorm-like on the floor of a church or a center where they hold church services. I think they use mats and sleeping bags. I don't remember seeing if the boys were separated from the girls there. I'm sure it's all on the up and up and chaperoned.
DeleteThis trip was four years ago.
DeleteWhy does it even matter? o_O
DeleteOh my word...this trip was many years ago when none of the kids(well maybe Josh)were married. It's a THROWBACK.
DeleteThey didn't bring their bus.
This trip was a few years ago, so none of the girls were married.
DeleteThese pictures are from a mission trip 4/5 years ago not a Duggar family road trip. Most likely her family was also in attendance.
DeleteI think anonymous means the recent road trip Ellie mentioned above.
DeleteIt's Kendra! What a cutie pie. What memories these pictures bring back. Thank you for sharing these throwback pictures.
ReplyDeleteWow! That's amazing! These pictures really are a blast from the past! In a good way, that is...
ReplyDeleteKendra is adorable!
ReplyDeleteWow! It's crazy to think. When these pics were taken non of the girls were married yet. Now 3 of them are. 2 are now moms. And 2 more will wed before the year's end. So excited for new seasons of Counting On. So much happening.
ReplyDeleteThe suspense is killing me. Don't make us wait too long!!!!

DeleteWonder if she will be one of Joy's bridesmaids? Especially since they seem to like to include their siblings significant others
ReplyDeleteUm....I'm not sure....is it Kendra???
ReplyDeleteAre we surprised that he's courting someone in their religion's inner circle?
O_O
DeleteNothing wrong with him doing that just as their is nothing wrong with you courting/dating someone within you own circle, religion, race, nationality.
DeleteMost people do that.
So cute!
ReplyDeleteSo they really have a tight little circle from which to choose, don't they.
ReplyDeleteUm, no. Look at Derick and Jermey, Jill and Jinger didn't know them until about two years before they married them. Are you saying that Joseph and Kendra shouldn't get married since they've know each other since they were young teens? Your logic is flawed.
DeleteActually, they do have a tight social circle of like-minded friends. Nothing wrong with the original comment.
DeleteSorry but most people do marry someone inside their inner circle. The british royals do that all the time and nobody complains.
DeleteBeautiful girl! Ive also seen her on past episodes of Counting on like Joy's, Jedidiah's, and Jeremiah's gradation. She's standing behind her sister when Joy starts talking to everyone at the party. While on the subject you can see Austin in the crowd of people when Jill, Derick, and Israel come home on a past season.
ReplyDeleteThey must be engaged already for this to be here.
ReplyDeleteThis trip was four years ago when Kendra was still a very young teen.
DeleteCute girl. God bless her.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely. Do you have an update on the children the girls grew so close to during the trip? How are they all doing?
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty young lady. I am sure she and Joseph will be very happy. May God bless them and their relationship.
ReplyDeleteShe looks like a sweet friend to the family!
ReplyDeleteMay God strengthen, guide and bless this young couple.
I don't understand the "Hope for the Hopeless" slogan on the shirts. First, I wouldn't like being called "hopeless" by some outsider. Second, you need to bring something like a storehouse of food and seeds for my village, and some major infrastructure changes like a school with teachers and a water pumping and purification plant, if you want to make my life hopeful. What long-term good is a Bible verse and a lollipop and a hug when those people are dirt poor and barely scraping by? Everybody smile for the camera and don't think about that! This one's going on the cover of the next newsletter!
ReplyDeleteYes, agree to all of this!
DeleteHope for the hopeless is the slogan for SOS ministries. They do provide clean water and things like that (but I won't list them because I don't have them memorized;) Most importantly, they spread the Good News of Jesus Christ throughout the world.
DeleteOnly HE provides true hope and joy in one's life. No school or seeds could provide true hope, but they do help people in those ways to gain trust and help them.
I would prefer a million times to be presented with the hope of Jesus Christ than all those things you just mentioned.
DeleteSounds like you're concerned for these people. Why don't you get on the next plane with some supplies and go help? Until then, you have no right to complain.
DeleteSince this was several years ago, I doubt it will be on the cover of a newsletter!
DeleteI have every right to complain when I see something that annoys me. I give to UNICEF, Doctors Without Borders, The Smile Train, etc. If I were physically able to help in person, I would be on that next plane. With real help, not tracts.
DeleteWhat do you do to help the world be a better place, 6:07? I don't mean criticizing others, because that's not helpful.
I ❤️ her last name. It's the same as my maiden last name. Who knows we Courtney related because my family originated from Clinton N. Carolina. My grandfather was a doctor there.
ReplyDeleteShe's also very beautiful.
Joseph and Kendra look great together!
ReplyDeleteso happy for them!

Kendra has a beautiful smile to go with a beautiful name. She does seem genuinely nice. I hope since Joseph and Kendra are courting, that they'll make the most of this time to honestly get to know each other, not morph into what each one thinks the other expects. So many people put their best face forward trying to "win" the other person, get married, and then are surprised to find their spouse is not who or what they thought. They each owe it to themselves and each other to "keep it real", honestly be themselves. The idea, after all, is to find someone who shares your interests and passions in life and build a life together.
ReplyDeleteSo weird how Jessa, Jana, Jill and even Jinger and Joy look the same back then as they do now. On the other hand, Kendra looks like a little girl. What a difference 4 years can make! She is all grown up now and beautiful! Amazing how young she looked in these though.
ReplyDeleteI feel like the Duggar ladies found The Fountain of Youth!
DeleteRegina, the Duggar ladies found the fountain of youth? Those girls are ONLY in their early 20's and teenagers! I hope they still look quite young!
DeleteBy my comment I mean they don't seem to age. Michelle still looks very young at 50. Now for some reason,I've seen people comment that Jill and Jessa look over 30(from past posts). I disagree with such an observation.
DeleteI can't stop staring at that big bolt on the door. And wondering why you'd need one like that in your house.
ReplyDeleteWhich bolt are you referring to?
DeleteAre you referring to the one in a picture from a different post? I commented there too, but I think it's probably to prevent little people from getting in somewhere they don't belong. We put one on our bathroom door when our kids were little to keep them safe.
DeleteI must have very bad eyes 11:56 because I don't see a bolt in any of those pictures above with or without my glasses.
DeleteVery nice looking young lady. Best wishes to Joseph and Kendra. May God richly bless you as you begin this journey.
ReplyDeleteI think the duggars should have 1 guest or follower come join them for 24 hrs to really get a feel for the beautiful lifestyle they live(I'll happily be the first guest ) yay yay!!!😁
