Have you heard? Counting On is set to return to TLC later this summer! We made the announcement alongside news of Jinger Duggar's courtship with Jeremy Vuolo, so it may have been just a little bit overshadowed...
Stay tuned for the premiere date, to be revealed soon. What are you hoping to see on season two of Counting On? The film crew has been filming during the break, in order to avoid missing out on any exciting footage.
For those who are wondering, the company that has produced the Duggars' show since the release of 14 Children and Pregnant Again is an independent organization that films numerous other reality TV shows.
So you can see how much the kids have changed since they first appeared on TV, here is a photo that was taken nearly 10 years ago.

Can you please have TLC put the full episodes on their website this time? I emailed them a bunch of times last season and they never listened. So I wasn't able to watch last season :( Some of us can't afford cable so we aren't able to watch it on TV. Please, Please ask TLC to let us watch it on their website. I love watching your show!!
ReplyDeleteI really miss seeing all of you Duggars. With all the sinfully natured shows allowed on tv, it's ludicrous that they remove you. We Christians need more Christians on tv and yes, sin and all. We need to show others that we are not perfect and how to turn to God for help, direction and forgiveness. The world needs this.
ReplyDeleteY'all are wonderful people, loved n missed.
:) This makes my heart happy
ReplyDeleteI'm so exited to see what the new season will bring! I'm hoping for lots of happiness and joy for all the kids. TLC needs to make sure they deliver on any promises they make. Love the Duggars!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy their coming back on , love this family,
ReplyDeleteHip hip hooraay, I am looking forward to Counting On
ReplyDeleteWill be nice to see the show return. Interested in what content will be with Jill still in central America.
ReplyDeleteNothing can over shadow a celebration of two people considering sharing their lives together. The show is only a small clip of the girls lives they have been kind enough to share.
looking forward to the new season. Love the Duggars.
ReplyDeleteOh, I am sooooo glad. I want to see everyone, as I miss all of them.
ReplyDeleteI feel like this family needs to heal and take time out of the spotlight.
ReplyDeleteThere have been tacit but unmistakable cries for help and privacy all along in the show, but they have been ignored by those in charge. Very unfortunate way to live, or to make your children live.
DeleteI agree completely. So sad they don't seem to realize they need to step away from the cameras. It's so hard to understand why they want to subject themselves to public scrutiny, ridicule, etc.
DeleteThey have many thousands of fans that want to see at least part of this family. Apparently the ratings are good so why not?
DeleteWow, that pic is so old. The girls' hair is so curly!
ReplyDeleteSo excited! Can't wait!
ReplyDeleteI don't understand the comment about the company that produces the show. The company that produces the show is TLC, right? What is the point of the comment?
ReplyDeleteIn answer to your question concerning the comment about TLC and one of the production companies TLC uses - Last week one of the production companies used by TLC filed a lawsuit against TLC accusing TLC of secretly producing some of their shows behind their back amongst other things. Jill and Jessa Counting On is NOT one of the shows named in the lawsuit, so it doesn't affect filming of Counting On. The most popular show I saw on the list was "The Little Couple" which they halted production on - for now. I know too that the lawsuit also involved the possibility of embezzlement involving a father/son company that "handled" the finances. Again, NOTHING to do with the Duggars or their show.
DeleteNo, TLC does not produce the show. The show is produced by Figure 8 Films. While most of Figure 8 Films are on TLC, at least two of their shows, Bringing Up Bates and Growing Up Mcghee, are on UP.
DeleteOh those awful home perm days, when someone or something made them think that was a good idea!
ReplyDeleteIt was someone they looked up to who liked long & curly hair.
DeleteI know who you mean.
DeleteMakes me absolutely ill to see Josh with his siblings in this picture, knowing what had taken place and how it was handled.
ReplyDeleteHe has that effect on people now. He should not be back on TV, but you know somewhere, someone will be willing to pay him to publicly say how "changed" he is. Notice he hasn't come out yet to say that. Probably waiting for a big check first. Some company will be foolish enough to write one, you watch.
DeleteI am so excited of there return. Hurray!!!!!! I would love to see the courtships and watching the children grow. I have watched them from beginning. I would like to see all of the Duggar Family on TV. Life is very hard at times. All families go through something bad at one time or another. I am a big fan and love the Duggars.
ReplyDeleteI'm tired of reading "all families have secrets" or "all families have skeletons" or "all families have done something bad." That is NOT true! And certainly not to the degree that family has.
DeleteThe Duggars will just have to see what they can do to keep providing those courtships so they can have shows, won't they?
DeleteWhat exciting footage? The girls have coffee? They guess about future spouses? They cry with Anna? They laugh at the menfolk trying to watch the kids? They fumble through a grocery store? They mess up some cooking? They throw a party? They go to Central America even though they claim it's dangerous? Time to turn the cameras off, not on. We've seen it all already, thanks anyway.
ReplyDeleteI guess Jinger courtship saved the show...
DeleteLOL 4:47 just summed up the entire first season of Counting On in a nutshell!
DeleteI agree completely. I watched 1 and a half episodes this season then just caught up on this blog and it sounds like it was more of the same. I cringed every time Jinger would do that weird smirk when they would ask about her courting. You could tell they had absolutely no material and we're trying to just string people along until they could come up with something. If not for the courtship announcement there's no way they would of gotten another season. What's weird is the bates show is still interesting even when not centered around a courtship, there's so many strong personalities at work that it's entertaining. But with the Duggars they're all so bland that if there's nothing major going on the show just falls flat.
DeleteThere's only so much you can do to try to make Jill & Jessa's life look exciting. Yes, this courtship saved the day, but can they get her into a commitment and married in time for the filming? Or will that have to be the season cliffhanger??
DeleteJust set up a pay-per-view live cam in their houses and let curious fans eavesdrop when they want to, OK? Spare us 60 minutes of TV each week, consisting of 20 minutes of actual show, 20 minutes of commercials, and 20 minutes of telling us what's coming up after the commercials. TLC really blew it with that system on the first season!
I couldn't have said it better myself. I agree that the new courtship saved this show. And the Bates are more interesting to me no matter what they currently have going on.
DeleteI think it fell flat because it was just the few older kids, and not the whole family. The big family dynamic was what made it so interesting.
DeleteSeason 1 was terribly boring - installing light fixtures, building a treehouse . . . If the show must go on, please come up with interesting episodes.
DeletePlease, TLC, do not come up with interesting things for them to do, because that's just it - they will only be things the producers came up with, not genuine activities. That's what was wrong with the first season. It was obvious that all those activities were made up for the camera, making them feel so fake & forced. And then the truth came out about who really built the treehouse, who really bought the car, etc.
DeleteLook, if you are so fed up with the show, why did you watch it? It's not rocket science. I'm not trying to be mean in the least, but just think about really the humour in what your saying
DeleteCONGRATULATIONS to the Duggars and their fans who have been praying for the shows return. If you do not like the family then just don't watch...simple as that.🕇Blessings for sure🕆Thrilled beyond measure🤗Cant wait!☻
ReplyDeleteTLC/Discovery puts the Duggar commercials on all over their schedule, so you can't avoid seeing the family somewhere. "Don't watch" is not a solution. You'd have to unplug your TV entirely.
DeleteYou'd have to unplug your TV entirely to avoid commercials on TLC?
DeleteYay!!! I'm so happy that we will get to see more of the Duggar Family! As a busy mom of five kiddos I don't have a lot of time to watch TV so I'm pretty selective about what I watch. The Duggar Family inspires me to be more intentional and present with my kids and that even though they're not perfect that you can always rely on your faith to see you through. Thank you for the continued updates on this blog! I check almost daily (but it's not the same as watching the show--a close second, though:).
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you! As a busy mom of 6 kiddos I find the show inspiring too and I am pretty selective about what I watch :)
DeleteYAY!!!!! I'm so excited! I do wish they would include the whole family this time. It's so much better that way, but happy to have any of the Duggars on tv!
ReplyDeleteWhat is Counting On? I thought their show was about the Duggars.
ReplyDeleteCounting On is the new show that started last year or so. It is all about the Duggar daughters and their new families. A spin-off of the 19 Kids and Counting series.
Deletei hope they turn it into a musical.
ReplyDeleteSuggestion to Jessa.. When working out at a gym, PLEASE wear the appropriate workout attire. What you were wearing was just not right & made you appear as if you were just playing with the equipment. Jessa please step it up!!
ReplyDeleteHow can wearing those clothes or slippery flat shoes be safe when working around weights? She could have hurt herself if she were actually lifting, not just posing for the camera.
DeleteI was elated to hear the news of Counting On returning. Can't wait!
