The Vuolos' New Book

Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo are releasing a new children's book tomorrow. With a target audience of ages four and up, You Always Belong helps kids understand their identity in Christ. The Vuolos discuss the book and answer a few other questions about life and family on Entertainment Tonight. They also joke that they are "slacking" with only three children, compared to Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar and their 19 children.

  1. I'm so tired of hearing about the Vuolo's.Seems that's the main family highlighted on here. For a family that wants privacy and not having their children shown on social media they sure seem to act the opposite of what they say.

    1. Well they seem to be the ones that want to be seen. Speaking of "privacy" there's a rumor that Johannah has been secretly married for over a year. Wonder if that's actually true.

    2. @1:41 I agree with you. Jeremy loves the attention though. The videos are mostly him talking, talking over Jinger, and for some reason telling the camera about her childhood instead of letting her talk. I don't know how someone supposedly so involved with his church, his work (whatever that really is), and youth programs, not to mention 3 kids and a wife, has time to do all this self-promotion. I'm sorry, but it's getting harder to relate to these two and whatever message they're trying to get across.

    3. @3:51 Fake news from a fake news site. She's in a recent picture wearing a sweatshirt supporting #47, and there is no ring on her hand.

  2. What? Another book? These two seem to think that they have more wisdom to share than they actually have.

  3. Does she mean that you belong in Christ even if you don't belong in America?

  4. What about kids who don't want an identity in Christ or are from different faiths or no faith at all? Do the Vuolos care about helping them feel as if they belong in society, too? Or do you have to identify the way the Vuolos do to be told you're acceptable? I think this book sounds discriminatory.

    1. Seems like a limited message for a small audience who probably already knows the message. Wonder if it was AI generated?

    2. Its probably a Christian based book and that's ok. I'm sure other faiths write books that cater to their faith. I don't think Christians have to walk on ice when they express their love and knowledge of the Christian faith. There are plenty of children books out there so if someone doesn't want a Christian based book than just pick another book.

    3. Well, God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son (Jesus), that whoever believes on him should not perish but have everlasting life. That's an open invitation to every single person. He wants to include everyone.

    4. @1:13 If "everyone" is to be included, then why do some Christians (ahem Duggars) look down on other Christian denominations, claim those people won't be saved, try to evangelize to them, send missionaries to convert them, etc. etc.? Seems if you're Christian (like a Duggar) you should realize that others are OK without your message.

    5. I never seen where the Duggars looked down on other denominations. I seen where they went on missions to help the poor in other countries. I think they believe like most Christians believe that the criteria for Heaven is faith and trust in our crucified and risen Lord.

    6. 2:34. Of course you have to match the Vuolo's belief system to be acceptable. Where ya been? You're either in or you're out.

    7. 4:28, the invitation is for everyone. Not everyone accepts it.

    8. Re 11:28 - That's a shame. I have friends and family from all over the world. I've been to a Catholic Christmas mass. A Protestant Easter sunrise service. Bar and Bat Mitzvahs. An Islamic wedding. A Buddhist baby blessing ceremony. A Quaker meeting. Witnessed Shinto burial rites. Atheist funerals too. At no time did I feel the urge to tell people that their way wasn't the "right" way. Nor did I fear for their souls. I learned valuable things from each experience and gained the peace that was shared. The Duggars would benefit from getting out and around more and keeping an open mind.

    9. Anon 8:48 As a Christian I firmly believe that there Is only one way to the Father and that is through the Son, Jesus Christ. I do not believe that all roads lead to God and I believe its a fool who gives up what he did not earn (Salvation through Christ) to get what he can not keep (false religions and worldly approval). Christians have and are still willing to die for what they believe so it is senseless to look around or keep an open mind as if there is another God. If a person believes in everything then he will live for none. Jesus is the Way and the Truth and the Life.

    10. I drink cola. Cola is the one true beverage. Anyone who drinks anything else is not on the road to thirst quenching and is foolish to think they are. I won't consider other things to drink. Water, milk, and juice will not lead to true hydration. You should only drink cola because that's what I drink and I am a firm believer in cola. == Now doesn't that all sound very strange? Wouldn't you think anyone making such a claim was not to be believed? Would you take their advice? Or do you know better, and know that there are many beverage choices available in life, and that everyone should drink what takes away their thirst? That's the analogy.

    11. Your analogy would work if this was a light matter and more like various opinions of relative matters but there are absolute truths. The absolute truth is we are all going to die one-day and we are all going somewhere for eternity. You had mentioned all the varies religions and religious ceremonies you had been a part of and they can't all be right or the truth and so wouldn't it make sense to invest your life and time into finding out which one is following the absolute truth so you would know where you will spend eternity? I invite you to try Christianity.

    12. 5:49 Your "truth" might hold true for you but there's no sense trying to say that other religions don't have their own truths that work for them. It's like trying to claim there's one "true" language or country. Not the case.

    13. 3:40, when it comes to God and eternity, there has to be one truth or there is no truth.

    14. 1:50 Amen. “Jesus said I am the way the truth and the life..”

    15. @1:11 If being willing to die for what you believe is your measure of what is true, that "Truth" club includes a great many more members than just Christians.

    1. More like making money for someone else, the writer, the illustrator, and the publisher. They did not pour their hearts or energy into this book themselves. They are not suddenly artists or writers.

    2. I don't understand why they got into the book business at this point. Artificial intelligence can create kids' books like that in seconds. Seems they should recognize this and find other work that they might be qualified to do.

    3. @11:46 My friend uses AI to help write and illustrate children's books which she then publishes herself. Of course she has a full-time job as a psychologist, so she has very good qualifications.

  6. I was under the impression this book was to be about bullying, and how to deal with it as a child. At least that what was said about it in the beginning, but it’s more about your identity in Christ which is different than dealing with bullying.

    1. I think it's more about their religious views and teaching them to young children.

  7. Why come on here to complain you're not going to read the new book?' I don't think they care about you all's feelings. They are free to write like anyone else . How rude.

    1. And everyone is just as free to comment on the actions of others, especially when those actions are odd, suspicious, self-serving, or whatever. It's better to point out the incongruities in society than to let them stand, ready to fool or to trap someone. Rude, because you don't agree? Try helpful or food for thought.
