Permanent in CA

Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo made a big decision. They are staying in California! After renting a house for the past three years, they are officially homeowners. They weren't expecting to purchase something for a little while, but they found a place they love and decided to snatch it up. You can check out their latest YouTube video for a tour of their new home and footage from moving day.

  1. This isn't the house they gave us a "tour" of recently is it?

    1. That was the house they rented.

    2. No it's a different one. Not sure what the point was of that other tour. They had to know that they were going to have to leave that rental house sometime soon. They said when moving in that it was going to be temporary since the church owned it. Felt like their time there was extended due to the pandemic. Jeremy technically graduated (the first part) so they should have known it was time to pass the house to another incoming student.

    3. No,it isn't. They were just renting that one.

    4. No it isn't 4:14 and what's strange is that they posted that video just a few days after they had closed on the new house! So they knew they were moving when they made that video. Strange.

    5. No, different house. Look at the video.

    6. No, I’m quite sure they posted the other house tour before this purchase house came into their plans. They said this had come about very unplanned.

      Delete
    7. That was confusing. Who knows why they posted the viedo of the rental house when they already knew they were going to be moving to the new place.

      Delete
    8. @11:35 No, they posted the old house tour the same day in August that their closing on the new house was done! They must have filmed the house tour a few days before they posted it, then they edited it, then they closed on the new house, then they posted the video about the old house. Maybe they felt it was safe to post that video because they knew they were moving very very shortly. But still, it's kinda strange after years of living in a house to show everyone the house you know you're moving out of and represent it as your current house.

    9. 3:01 PM - No, they didn't know they was going to move. The opportunity came up.

      Delete
    10. 10:36 - When you close on a house August 15 and you post a video of "your house" (the old house) on August 15, you definitely know you're going to move.

      Delete
    11. No, 10:36, they certainly did "know they was going to move" by video time... The closing was already recorded by the county. They were one step away from having the keys to the new house, if not already in possession of them by that time.

      Delete
    12. 10:36, how do you know this? You seem to always have insider info on all the Duggars.

    13. They said in their video that the opportunity to purchase the new house came up. It came up in July. They then closed on the new house in August. They posted the old house tour in August too, at the same time. They knew they were moving. End of debate.

  5. Good for them. Don't know how they found a house in such a tight housing market though.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Watch the video. It was on the market 55 minutes!!

      Delete
    2. The way everyone else finds a house, no matter what the market. Work with a realtor, watch for new listings, go take a tour, and so on.

      Delete
    3. The market is not as tight as it was depending on the state.

      Delete
    4. They must have money

  6. Sure, they're staying in California.....for now. Wait til Jeremy gets an offer to be pastor of a megachurch. They'll be out of that state in the blink of an eye.

    1. I don't think that will happen any time soon, but if they get a good offer, I'm sure they can sell the house and move.

      Delete
    2. Somehow I can't envision them liking this very blue state.

      Delete
    3. They were my favorite couple when they got together... but I agree with you/can see that

      Delete
    4. @3:59 I don't think they are as red as you may think. There are lots of conservative democrats living in this country.

      Delete
    5. They follow where they feel that God takes them.

      Delete
    6. 3:59... Both of them stated in the video they love living in California so it being a blue state doesn't bother them that much clearly

      Delete
    7. @ Anon 3:59, I disagree. I think that they fit right in.

      Delete
    8. 3:59 PM - So you can't move to a state that is the opposite color of what you vote for?

      Delete
    9. Jeremy and Jinger have never revealed their political affiliation. They keep that private too.
For a couple who are on social media, they don't reveal much about themselves or their beliefs. We don't even know the name of Jeremy's ministry.

      Delete
    10. 3:40 PM - A lot of social media stars don't reveal their political stance and where they go to church/work. Why is it always the Duggars that get this stuff?

      Delete
    11. 10:38 It's not good when your state elects certain people and enacts certain laws, all of whom and all of which go against your ideals and values (and common sense). Although it does make you work harder to recruit candidates who are good, and it makes you get out to vote every single election. Personally, I could not live in Texas or Florida because of their politics. Not what I stand for. So it's surprising that Jeremy and Jinger like California. Maybe they're overlooking things in the name of fame and fortune? Because no candidate they support would ever get elected there.

      Delete
    12. @3:40 Anyone who registers to vote reveals their affiliation. It's public record. Ever notice how you only get bombarded with certain political flyers and phone calls before elections? Public record.

      Delete
    13. That would be nice if every political party stayed in their own state.

      Delete
    14. Ppftt.. bunch of Gen Zers

    17. 4:46, They do. Arkansas!

    18. Why do some think that politics have to enter into everything? Housing decisions are NOT politically motivated in most cases.

    19. Jeremy is on PhD program since this Summer, so it would take a few years for him to complete. They both really love LA, they made a lot of friends, they go out often. I think whenever Jeremy completes his PhD, he would try to stay in California too.

    20. @10:00 am, because Jeremy is a pastor and his job is to lead others to Christ and to be a positive role model and example to others.

      Delete
    21. @3:40,The name of his church is Grace Community in North Hollywood. It has a large group of members. The reason I know, is I read it on the internet. I live only about 7 miles from that church. I love Southern California. I'm a 4th generation Californian. Welcome Jeremy and Jinger!!

    1. They won't show their faces.

      Delete
    2. They blurred out the girls faces

      Delete
    3. No, they have their faces covered.

      Delete
    4. There was a point a child's face was blurred. I don't think they're nearly as concerned about showing the back of a kiddo's head vs. their face.

      Delete
    5. The other non-blurred child is visible, face and all. What's the point of saying you won't be showing your children and then showing any or all of them?

      Delete
    6. If you want privacy for your kids, keep yourselves out of the spotlight too. They're still sharing too much.

      Delete
    7. 3:14 PM - That statement has been over used and makes no sense at all. Just because you are in the spotlight, it does not mean their child is free game too. It does not work like that. That should go for everyone with your logic, right? That's like saying if you have a FB account, than you kids should be on there to for everyone to see on your friends list.

      Delete
    8. Oh honey no. Just because you are in the spotlight does not give anyone the right to invade children's lives. That's crossing the line and it's extremely weird. They are minors. The new Prince and Princess of Wales has done a great job limiting the paparazzi from invading their 3 children's lives the way they did William and Harry growing up. Good try on an excuse. If you was correct than anyone could go after people's children regardless of being a reality star or a normal person.

      Delete
    9. Leave the kids alone!

      Delete
    10. The little "teases" of pictures (blurred or not) of the kids by J&J make no sense. They're saying don't look at the kids, but then they go right ahead and show them from the side, from behind, you can hear them off camera, you can see their bedroom and toys, and so on. Makes no sense! If they want privacy then they should stop posting any family videos or pictures, and stop using the fact that they have kids to further their own fame and product marketing.

      Delete
    11. They're at it again, showing/not showing their kids on Halloween. Showing everything but their faces. Showing how tall they are, what their build is, what they're wearing, and what color their hair is. How does that protect them?? I wish they would stop showing the girls altogether if they really want to protect them from strangers.

  8. I think California suits them. They seems really happy.

    3. I don't think a move to Arkansas was ever on the table. Can't say as I blame them for that one.

      Delete
  12. Anyone else find it hard to watch their videos? I LIKE to see their kids and how they’re growing up! I get it for safety reasons. (Although they’re showing exactly which bedroom the girls will sleep in…) But it just makes me disinterested when the camera is constantly lifted up over the kids or turned quickly so we can’t see them or they’re blurry!

    ReplyDelete

    1. Agree, 7:57. Time to go private and not play those obvious games. But they won't do it because they have books and a career to promote. They should only film when the kids are not around.

      Delete
    2. 7:57, I agree, and I don't get it either. Videos of their day-to day and how they interact with their kids would be more interesting than watching a tour of their home and seeing their dishes and coffee mugs.

      Delete
    3. It's comments like this is the reason why.

  13. It was really sweet to see the sentimental attachment to the filming crew’s last piece of marking tape!

    1. Proves that nothing on the show was as spontaneous as they would have liked us to believe.

      Delete
    2. They should have saved those very obvious black tape X's that marked the spots where they were supposed to stand for their "surprise" rooftop engagement.

      Delete
    3. Those markings are for the cameras which is why they was not expecting to get proposed too. They was not there for them technically.

      Delete
    4. Absolutely not correct 5:33. Go back and look at the pictures from that rooftop proposal episode or rewatch the episode itself. Look at when Jeremy is down on his knee and Jinger has her hands over her face. There are distinct white tape marks visible for where Jinger and Jeremy were supposed to stand. Jeremy's was in the shape of a V. Jinger's was half-hidden by the hem of her long dress and her shoe, but it was there too. If we could post pictures here I could prove it, but you should be able to easily find the pictures online. The marks were for people, not cameras.

  14. As someone who lives in LA, I have to wonder why, as our city and state are on a fast and very steep decline. If they were called by God to be here, then 100%, of course. But if there was not clear instruction from God, then it's a very strange decision when most conservative people in California are trying to leave as fast as they can.

    2. Which is what? I'm not from CA, and to me it always sounds like a nice place, ocean, mountains, summer all year around. What is so wrong with CA??

      Delete
    3. For me it was the heat, wildfires and earthquakes CA gets.

      Delete
    4. Anonymous @9:15, summer does not last all year long. There is so much wrong with California. For starters just look at Gavin Newsom. He is probably the absolute worst governor Ca has ever had. Do a search on homelessness and its off the charts all over the state. In fact California has the highest unsheltered homeless population of any state in the country. If you believe in and practice biblical principles you will quickly be discussed with this state. Ca is now a sanctuary state for children to come into the state to receive sex changes. Its also a sanctuary state that protects illegal immigrants. If you have a job in Ca you will most definitely be paying a lot in income taxes. I've lived in Ca my entire life, and I can tell you that I am appalled with what I've seen. Yes, Ca is beautiful with its mountains, streams, the beach, etc...etc...but so does a lot of other places. I must add a sad reality...go on a hike to a waterfall in Southern California and you will be greeted with graffiti all over the rocks/cliff faces. I recently moved out of Ca and couldn't be happier.

      Delete
    5. Worst governor California ever had? That is opinion, not fact. If you want to look at facts, look back at the late 1960's and who laid the groundwork for what California is today. Surprised by who that was?

  15. Celebs are fleeing California.. not a smart move for them, especially with young kids!

  16. I find it very interesting, but don't understand, how we expect Christians to move to other countries as missionaries, and at the same time, believe Christians in the US need to live in only 'red states.' The Vuolos have much to offer California. May God bless them as they minister wherever He leads them.

    1. Christians are not exclusively Republicans 🤦🏼. I'm Democrat and I'm Catholic 🤷🏼

  17. Congratulations! Many people somehow don't like CA, but seems like Jinger&Jeremy love it there, they made a lot of friends, they go out a lot, and now Jinger even has a woodburning pizza oven. One thing though - the house has only 2 bedrooms upstairs, which means that they are not planning to have another baby soon (where would they put it?).
