Vuolo Home Tour

Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo have lived in their North Hollywood home for about three years and showed of snippets to viewers on Counting On. For those who are eager to see the whole thing, the Vuolos just uploaded a full tour to YouTube (link below).

Video: Inside Jinger and Jeremy's Home

  1. Why would they make such a video public? They don't want their kids' faces shown yet they will show you everything in their house, including what the girls play with, where they play, where they sleep, etc. etc. Seems like a much bigger security risk than posting a picture!

    1. I agree with you. Jinger talked, on a podcast, about how much it upset her that the paparazzi were taking photos of her kids. She confronted a photographer who told her they didn't need her permission to photograph them since they were in the public eye. She and Jeremy had decided to pull their photos off the internet to give them privacy. Not long after that she got a sponsorship from a kid's clothing line. She photographed them without seeing their faces. I find it crazy that they want the privacy yet have no problem putting them in ads so they can make money. I do remember from her parents show she wasn't very comfortable with a camera in her face. I do wonder if Jeremy is pushing all this to bring in more income. Or It could be they both want to do this. Either way demanding privacy for your kids while giving tours of your home and using them for sponsorships is contradictory.

    2. This! And being contradictory is not how the Bible teaches you to be, especially if you're going to be a pastor or a pastor's wife. They can't see it?

  2. Who needs that many expensive pairs of sneakers? Seriously. I can't believe what this couple has turned into. From Arkansas thrift stores to Rodeo Drive. For a minister and wife! Where are their values? Sitting on shelves at the bottom of the stairs, apparently, and I'll bet there are more sneakers in the closets. They should hand out those shoes to homeless people who really need them. WWJD

    2. I always wonder why people tell others to engage in acts of charity. If it troubles you, you can give shoes to the homeless.

      Delete
    3. Those shoes are not cheap and it's not right to be proud of them. We know what the Bible says about laying up treasures on Earth. To 10:36, people should be reminded to do charity, because it seems some forget.

      Delete
    4. There is nothing wrong with expensive pairs of shoes if you can afford it. You are twisting it into something it's not because you are clearly jealous.

      Delete
    5. 12:43, how do you know he's "proud" of them? By judging someone else's heart?

    6. As a pastors wife (we are now retired) I have to say we do not take a vow of poverty. There is nothing wrong with a pastor and his family having nice things just like everyone else. While we have a calling, we are still human. We have the same wants, desires, and falls from grace as everyone else.
Were his shoes are gifts or did he buy them? Does he give above and beyond either by his time or his wallet or both? We don’t need to know.
What I do know is, if the Lord has an issue he will deal with him in his own time. I also know that the Lord has an amazing sense of humor and uses the strangest things and situations to open the door to share the gospel. I’ve seen everything from boats, cars, motorcycles, purses and even firearms as a conversation starter that eventually ended up sharing the gospel and a word of prayer. All things that pastors and their families have been criticized for owning. The Lord may have much bigger plans for those shoes then any of us can imagine.

    7. Not only that, but Jinger went to a guy called The Sneaker Surgeon. He charges thousands for his custom sneakers

    8. 5:05pm, I have to agree with you! My same thoughts for several years now.

    9. Guys, showing your house on the internet is certainly vain, no one can deny it. But also judging others for what they do is just as wrong. Each one of us can choose where to spare and where to invest, and there's nothing wrong with it. Many of the Duggars and Bates are social media content creators. As much as we find it weird, they make money by putting stuff out on the internet.

    10. 3:01PM - Nobody here is jealous of the Vuolos or any other Duggars. Who would be jealous of what they've been going through. Recognizing excess when you are shown it and understanding that excess is not a good life choice (for anyone) is not the same as jealousy.

    11. OK 12:28 but for pastors to make such public displays of their home and their possessions goes against a whole lot of things mentioned in the Bible, and plays right into things the Bible warns about.

  5. Watched it 2 hours after it was uploaded and thought their home was very nice. I never watched Counting On, so I had no idea what their house looked like inside and out. Guess my mindset was thinking if they lived in LA and made a lot of money from their podcast,TV appearances, and Jeremy working at the church he is employed to as a pastor, then they must live in a mansion. But I was surprised to find out it was actually a traditional middle class family home.😀👍 The girls' room was not what I expected for a toddler bedroom. It looked not very decorated for a little girl with the deer on the wall, the paint color and how empty it looked with just the bunk bed. But the closet was cute.😊

    1. Jeremy's working in that church in LA? I thought he was still a student, no church job.

      Delete
    2. Jeremy is a student at the Master's Academy. We have no info that he is employed by that church. He is studying. He graduated from the Masters programs, and said he was starting his PhD in theology or something, in the same school. Maybe he works like TA but that was never mentioned anywhere. Like, his occupation is a student.

      Delete
    3. Jinger mentioned in an earlier video about "when Jeremy gets home from work." So he works someplace, maybe on campus?

      Delete
    4. They have said he also works for the church while he is a student. They don't own the house, they are now renting it. It belongs to the church and there stay was supposed to be temporary, but then the pandemic hit. I think that they haven't decorated fully because it belongs to the church, including much of the furniture, and they don't know how long they will be there.

  6. Not trying to be snarky here, but have an honest question. Why does a pastor/a pastor's wife need to show off their home (or show it off online)? It just doesn't seem to line up with everything the Bible tells us about Jesus and what following Jesus looks like according to God in His Word. It doesn't seem to be a humble thing to be doing or something that encourages, uplifts others (fellow Christians or not), or builds up anyone's faith. I know some here feel like they're doing the home tours/reveal for their fans, but as Christians, they're not supposed to have fans. Paul was quick to set a man straight who wanted to fall at Paul's feet in awe/adoration/a fan of Paul. Paul quickly and bluntly told him get up that he (Paul) was only a man. The only people who need to know what your house looks like inside are the people who live there, and the family members and the few select close, personal friends you invite inside to share meals and activities with, make memories with, and share mutual support with in your day-to-day real world relationships.

    1. Maybe people were asking to see it? It didn't come across as show-offy to me.

      Delete
    2. Their online & publicity-seeking activities are how they earn easy money to support their lifestyle. Without it, their financial situation would be extremely different.

      Delete
    3. Stop picking fault. There's nothing wrong with showing off your house. If you're not interested in where they live, don't watch the video. It's OK for people who are in the public eye to have fans that look up to them. They can be a role model for other Christians you know.

      Delete
    4. The man fell at Paul's feet because he thought Paul was a god and he was trying to worship him. No one is worshipping the Vuolos.

    5. I agree certainly. Although i have kept track of the Duggars since 2013, i never quite understood how a Christian family could have such a large fandom. I mean the Bible clearly says that the world hated Jesus so they will hate His followers too. So, if a Christian is popular with the world maybe they aren't being good followers of Jesus.??? Not meaning to say any thing bad about their fans here. I'm one myself in a sense that i love watching families grow and that's pretty much the only reason i check the blog every few weeks. As the years go by though, the Duggars have changed from what they were initially and it discourages me. I know Christians are supposed to be different from the world and i certainly could see that in the early years but now they look more and more like non-Christian people. Its one of the great mysteries for me that in my early years i wore pants and short skirts and didn't really consider having a lot of kids and now i wear long skirts and dresses only and want lots of kids, this change partly through their influence and now I look like what they did ten years ago and many of them now wear things i never did. Its certainly sad and discouraging for me. I know the Bible doesn't teach assimilation with the world so if Christians drop standards are they backsliding or falling away? Cute house but really showing it off like this can't be very safe in the crime laden world we live in today.

      Delete
    6. When did "online and publicity seeking activities" become an occupation? It shouldn't be, because it's only cashing in on your fame and popularity. This is not a role model for other Christians. Not at all.

      Delete
    7. 2:15, the Duggars weren't popular with the people who mocked them for their family, beliefs, and lifestyle.

      Delete
    8. @2:15 Perhaps being a "good Christian" has nothing to do with the clothes you wear, the number of children you have, or whether or not you have a large fan following, but rather with how you treat others. As Christ said, “This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.”

      Delete
    9. @1:42 There's nothing wrong with showing off your house? Christians shouldn't be "showing off" anything. That's vain and prideful, not being a role model.

      Delete
    10. So many people have asked them to see the house, it seems like a loving thing to do. It's not show-offy at all. Just a nice gesture to include us in their lives. Whenever I go to a dinner party, the host always shows people the house. It's just natural to share in that way.

      Delete
    11. Because people has been asking to see the Vuolos new home. But I can tell you been to some bad churches to make that "snarky" comment.

    13. 11:17pm. Yes we should love but what about Christ's other commandments: be ye holy as I am holy, be ye separate, be ye a peculiar people, learn not the way of the heathen, look not upon the unclean thing, touch not the unclean thing, be fruitful and multiply, bare not the thigh. What about all those commandments?

    15. The pastor I served with lived in the parsonage. He and his wife would often have open houses, after all, the congregation did have a vested interest since they pay for it. Even when they bought a home, with a housing allowance, they invited people over for an open house. It wasn’t to show off. The pastor and his wife were very hospitable. “It was their way of saying, You are welcome here.”

      Delete
    16. What's all the fuss about? They seem to live pretty much like most Christian families.

      Delete
    17. 10:57 But this is not an open house hosted for a congregation in person. This was broadcast for anyone to see, and that was the whole point, they wanted anyone and everyone to see.

    18. Galatians 1:10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

John 15:17-19 These things I command you, that ye love one another. 18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. 19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

      1 Timothy 2:8-9 I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting. 9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;

3 Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD:
and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
      4 As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man;
so are children of the youth. Psalms 127:3-4

      Delete
    2. The paparazzi should know better than stalking people anyway. And why are people so obsessed with their daughters faces? They are actually playing a wise game and they will make a lesson out of people like some of these people in the comment section.

      Delete
    3. 3:07, I had to giggle when I read your comment about the paparazzi. Paparazzi are photographers who take pictures of high profile people doing random things & then sell them to gossip magazines. That’s literally how they make a living. I doubt shaming them will make them stop.

  13. When we saw this house on the Counting On, it was said that the house was rented out to them for much lower rent by the school where Jeremy was studying. Seems like they kept renting it. And seems like students at that religious school live very well, if a family can rent out this kind of house in LA.

    3. I really don't think it's anyones business but when it comes to a pastor, they do get cheaper rent in certain places and their children get into free Christian schools and colleges. What's up with people questioning the Vuolos so harshly with everything?

    4. Anon 3:10. The Vuolos rather set themselves up for questioning by posting this stuff on social media. Also Jeremy is a STUDENT at the school, not a pastor of a church.

    5. @1:35 I'm wondering if they got rental of this house free or at a reduced rate in return for promising to promote the school Jeremy is attending. I mean, the school must be enjoying the free exposure. That must be worth something to them.
