  2. Many couples kiss after the proposal. It's good to know that John and Abbie didn't break the 11th Commandment (Thou shall not kiss prior to marriage) when getting engaged.

    1. Something doesn’t have to be expressly outlawed in the Bible for unique persons to decide not to do it. :) I’m not sure why it isn’t ok for people to make their own rules for their own lives, even if they’re different from yours.

  3. Just what everyone needs when proposing, chaperones. This is absurd.

    1. Agree. The whole show anymore is absurd. It's same stories every season except different adult couples. I am sure they are making lots of money doing these shows. Shows won't last that many more years. Then how will they support their large families? After the truth came out about Josh it shows the family is phony and into for the big money. But I guess people watch it for entertainment.

    2. Josh's situation wasn't a reflection on anyone but Josh himself and arguably his parents for how they handled it. His situation didn't cast aspersions on the rest of the family.

    3. Unknown: Derrick, Jeremy and Austin all seem aware that the show won't last forever and are doing things that will provide for their family. The rest of them appear to believe the show will go on for the rest of their lives. I suspect there might be some other things going on in the family they'd prefer not to have disclosed.

  6. Is it just me or does it look sometimes like Jana is not too thrilled that her twin is marrying? I noticed on the wedding episode she didn't seem too happy, either. I think it was very kind of Abbie to have Jana in the bridal party, though. I was surprised she didn't invite any other Duggar girls to be bridesmaids.

    1. Jana seemed really happy for John when she was talking about Abbie being a great match. It may have been a little of mixed feelings where she is genuinely thrilled her twin has found his match while being a little sad things are changing. Sort of like how Jinger felt when Jessa got married and Jessa felt when Jinger married and left the state.
Jana and Laura coordinated John's wedding adding the stress of wanting to make sure the day was perfect for John and Abbie while Jana was also part of the wedding party.

    2. I think it is difficult for Jana to see her siblings moving on to married life while she remains single. On one hand she's glad they find a mate and have a family life together but being left at home under the control of JB and Michelle can't be easy.

  9. Abbie's awkward little giggle of anticipation was so sweet bless her and I've never seen John so animated and happy. Abbie has changed him so much and definitely for the better.
