Honeymoon Location Revealed

The location of Joseph and Kendra Duggar's honeymoon has officially been revealed. The newlyweds traveled all the way to Greece! One of the highlights of their trip was a food tour of Athens with a local guide. Doesn't that sound like a delicious blast?

Joe and Kendra were not the first Duggars to head out of the country after tying the knot. Jessa and Ben Seewald honeymooned in Paris, Rome, and Venice, Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo went Down Under, and Joy-Anna and Austin Forsyth spent time in both Switzerland and Israel.

  2. Don't look at the statues! Nike! (Who was Greek, by the way.)

    1. If they need to nike a statue they went to the wrong country (they should also avoid Italy!) ridiculous if they do, as they would be missing some of the oldest and most beautiful art in the world. Also one does not need to be greek to visit Greece.

  3. I hope that they take the time to visit some of the historic sites, visit the museums, and learn about the history of Greece. Greece is more than food tasting and making sandals.

It is waste to go all that way and not see and experience the ancient Greek sites.

  5. What a lovely place for a honeymoon!

  6. does TLC pay for all these extravagant honeymoons? Im not sure why it's such a secret except that they always make an announcement later on which keeps interest going. It seems the only couples that didn't take an overseas trip was Anna & Josh and Jill and Derrick.

    1. I was wondering the same thing

    2. So let me get this straight, because tlc paid for their trip, they can't honeymoon in private with out paparazzi?

    3. Who needs paparazzi when you take your own camera crew along everywhere and you sell pictures to a tabloid yourself?

  7. I believe many like minded young people watch the Duggars. When they watch similar aged Duggars marrying and affording huge weddings with expensive honeymoons without employment; it sends a very bad message to those fans! For those fans who are believers, from large homeschooled families without a reality show and no post high school education may be very surprised that their life is not the Duggars.

    1. The show is their income ,
Pays for some great trips ...

    2. Just because you homeschool and don't have a college degree doesn't mean you don't have money..
My husband was homeschooled with no college degree... he's 30 and makes 150k it's called HARD work and simple everyday day living

    3. Just because we don't see them working doesn't mean they don't have a job. Jim Bob wouldn't let one of his daughters marry a guy with no job so I'm sure other fathers wouldn't let the boys marry their daughters with no job

    4. I know homeschool families and the children are being raised with a good work ethic. They like my children were excited (both boys and girls) to get their first jobs and are being taught the value of earning and saving. They know this show is not reality but only a show. On this side of the screen we work for a living. They know through hard work and faith in God they will do just fine.

    5. I am guessing a lot of large homeschooling christian families don't even watch television! I also am pretty sure they are all not quite the "deer in the headlights" group of buffoons you suggest they are.

    6. I don’t think anyone watching the show is going to just assume they can do the things the Duggars or the Bates or any of the other families on tv do. Obviously they get paid to be on the show. My homeschooled children are smart enough to know we aren’t getting paid for being on tv. They aren’t going to assume they can do the same things in the same way.

Joe and all of the other married husbands have some form of job like repairing cars or flipping houses. None of them just sit at home and have the show be their only paycheck.

Some like minded Christians encourage their children to go to college or trade school. Our core beliefs might be the same, but we are all different. I enjoy watching the Duggars, because I never have to worry about the content being inappropriate in any way. I don’t watch them, because I want to live exactly like them or think that my life is like theirs.

    7. I'll see your 150K, 12:53, and double it, for someone also in his 30's, but with a college degree. And no college debt, due to equally hard work earning a full scholarship.

  8. guess who will be pregnant soon folks! wont be a surprise @ all

  9. Poor Anna and Jill! Anna got a cheap, local motel. Jill got North Carolina, which isn't bad, just isn't Italy or an exotic place. The budget for TLC must have been so low back then. I honestly think they should give those two married couples anniversary trips to an awesome designation! Especially Anna. She deserves to go anywhere she wishes.

    1. Jill and Derrick didn't have a lot of filming on their honeymoon on purpose....said so in one of the episodes. The farther destinations got full coverage. Jessa had a whole episode on her trip. Anna doesn't deserve anything. Her choice to stay with Josh is her own, not something that is worthy of a reward

    2. Umm, Josh and Anna went to the beach, and I could be wrong, but didn't Jill and Derrick go to Florida?

      Delete
    3. And if tlc paid for that, yall would still complain.

      Delete
    4. Anna and Josh went to a beach for their honeymoon and stayed in a place by themselves with multiple bedrooms. They also tried to spend one of the nights in an aquarium, but ditched it after a short while.

    5. What a cruel thing to say, that Anna doesn't deserve anything because she chose to stay with Josh. Josh made some very bad choices, most people make mistakes in life. Only God should be judging him. The fact that Anna made the decision to honor her marriage vows just shows what a courageous & strong young woman she is & how she honors the Lord. It would have been much easier for her to just divorce, that is the popular way nowadays. When marriage gets hard, just leave. That is why we have all these broken homes, blended families, single moms, etc. Anna deserves everything good in life & I hope that Josh got the help he needed & that they are a happy family now. However that is their business, not mine or anyone else's. People should not say anything if they have to say hurtful things. Anna should be applauded for the strength she has shown, not torn down by people who do not know her & are not in her shoes. Tend to your own business & let them tend to theirs. Most could not handle what the Duggar family has been put through in the last few years. God bless them.

  12. I think this is the first time that I’ve seen Kendra that she hasn’t been a nervous, giggling mess. It will be nice to get to know her personality more now that she is starting to relax in front of the cameras.

  13. how exciting for them! i am so happy to see joseph coming out of his shell and posting videos. we will probably see a bunch of relationships, etc now from the guys and he seems to be such a good role model for his younger siblings. its been a while since josh & anna's courtship so it'll be interesting to see from a male perspective again!

    1. These "modern" Duggar courtships are totally different from the J&A days.

  14. Joe, you seem like a smart and genuine guy, and I'm impressed with your maturity especially compared to some of your siblings. Questioning your faith and values will only strengthen them. You should believe in things not because someone told you it, but because you also chose it for yourself. Make sure the values you've been taught are truly your own, now that you're an adult. Examine the path your parents chose to take in life and decide if that is your path as well. Decide what kind of life you and Kendra want to lead. Many viewers of this show are intrigued by what we see as strange and even objectionable in your family. We are "fans," too. Many of us are rooting for you kids and wish to see you lead a somewhat different life. I believe there is honor in hard, honest work; in understanding and accepting others; in examining and challenging the beliefs you have been taught - these are areas we have watched your family struggle and things we hope to see this current generation of Duggar adults overcome. Christinaity isn't a blanket or an all-encompassing group; as your family has shown there are differences and disagreements even among those who call themselves followers of Christ. I hope you and Kendra will seek out your own truths and your own path in life. Easy money will always be tempting, but you know life and true worth are not about money. Make us proud. We'll be watching.

    1. Read between the lines of the post from Anon. 12:12 and don't do any of what they say. Continue to follow Christ. Stay on the narrow path!

  15. Who pays for all these lovely honeymoons do the couple's pay for them themselves or are they gifts

  16. Let the jealous and ignorant comments begin. No job, Live of tlc, she is to young, get an education, she was pregnant before the wedding. .. now, they are all out there. Can we now just say congratulations for finding your soul mate, may you live the blessed life god had planned for you and enjoy your honeymoon doing exactly what you want! Love you guys!
