  3. why are they hiding the date until now? and thought it was only a small wedding? who has 1000 people at a wedding? hope they at least have a nice dinner for the guest instead of a baby party like the other two?

    1. Nope - reception at a Christian community center. Everything was over quickly. I sure hope the Vuolos threw a huge rehearsal dinner last night, or are hosting their family tonight for a big bash somewhere.

    2. Wow check out the positive vibes from you lol it's THEIR wedding day... THEIR choice why they kept date quiet from press... THEIR choice on how many guests!!

    3. Everyone is entitled to do what they want for their weeding day. Of you don't like it, don't attend. (and I'm speaking of anyone's wedding, not just a Duggar family member's)

    4. Too sweet...not๐Ÿ˜ฌ

    5. You don't go around saying you're having a small wedding with just family and closest friends, then have 1000 people show up. Even for a big family, that defies logic.

  4. And people doubted when this story broke the other day. It had all been leaked ahead of time by anyone who knew the Duggars or Vuolos and had social media.

  5. Does Michelle say "Volo"? Like without the letter U?

  8. Almost 1000 of their closest friends. They really didn't tell the truth ahead of time about that, did they? Small wedding, only close friends, etc. No way.

    1. That's a pretty typical event for them. There's 19 kids, most of those 19 kids have friends, those friends have families, usually large families just like the Duggars. Then you have spouses, Both of the duggar children and friends, those spouses have large families, plus all of the aunts, uncles, cousins distant family. And most of those aunts, uncles ext. have lots of kids and big families. Its not to far of a stretch to think that to them 1000 people is all friends and family, close friends and families. And that's just on the Duggars side. Then you have to add in Jeremy's family, and distant relatives, plus siblings ext. Large families tend to know and be related to other very large families. lol Still a crazy amount of people, but probably not an odd number to them.

    2. Plans are always subject to change...

    3. And a lot of there friends have 6 plus kids

    4. I don't think it's a matter of "telling the truth," more just things changing. We don't really know, so it does no good to speculate.

  9. Yeah! Yeah! Congratulations! Hope we can see some pictures in the future.

    1. Seriously? Who gives a flying fig who is wearing what? It is about the union of these 2 young people and the God-honouring household that they are establishing.

      Delete
    2. Those clothes are probably not what they wore to the wedding. Jim Bob was in purple.

      Delete
    3. Of course everyone gives a "flying fig" about what the wedding party is wearing. Have you ever been to a wedding??

  26. Jim Bob called Jinger a girl? She is a beautiful young lady! I am excited to see her blossom now that she won't be under the watchful eye of Daddy!

    1. My daughters are 44 and 50 and i still see them as my precious "girls". I think Jinger has "blossomed" beautifully under the watchful eyes of both her parents, that's why she is the great person she is today. Should have more parents like that, caring enough to what happens to our children.

  27. Congrats to the couple but i think they could have done it on a different day so that spurgeon could have a birthday celebration on his own day not on his aunt and uncles wedding day i guess the family will be having anniversary/birthday party every year

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I don't know of anyone who has an anniversary party ever year. I think little Spurgeon's birthday will be just fine.

    1. I think he will still have his day. He's one year old. He couldn't give a hoot.

  31. Thought it was supposed to be a "small and intimate" wedding? 1000 people is not intimate

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. A lot of there friends have a lot of kids

      Delete
    2. 1000 is small only if you have a loose grip on reality.

      Delete
    3. I agree, to me a 1000 people isn't small or intimate however, it would have been full of love & joy & wonderfully uplifting during the songs in the service.

  32. Yes, this family doesn't know how to pronounce Jeremy's last name correctly. It is pronounced V-W-O-L-O (with the "Os" being cut short as in the Italian language. "VU" in Italian is pronounced as if it were "VW" in English. I think they need to try to pronounce it correctly. That would be respectful. I'm Italian, so I know.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. You're right, but maybe his family has chosen to pronounce it as "volo."

      Delete
    2. The Vuolos pronounce it "volo."

      Delete
    3. Seems to be an ongoing struggle from past clips. Hopefully in time they will make effort to learn. Jinger has embarked on a new life and many differences she will need to be able to embrace. God bless them and I pray for patience and open hearts.

  33. Congrats Jinger and Jeremy. God bless you always.

  34. It seems a little odd for a father to refer to a daughter as "one of the sweetest 'girls I know'".

  35. Did Michelle wear the same black tights and clogs that she always wears?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. She had them on back at the house for the after-party. Black skirt, tights, and Dansko shoes.

  36. Blessings for a Fabulous Future!
    LOVE from Montana!!!!!

  37. Really folks? Spurgeon's special day? He's 1. He doesn't know his birthday from Groundhog Day. He'll be just as happy with cake and balloons the next day. I'm sure it won't scar him for life. Jinger looked lovely. Glad she went with an actual bridal hairdo and makeup. This elevated her look to elegant bride instead of teenager. Best Duggar bride to date by a long shot. Now if only Jim Bob and Michelle would dress the part.

    Replies
    1. I agree! Love her looks, love her hair and dress! Way to go Jinger!! She definitely is the most beautiful bride from the Duggar clan so far :)

  38. Congratulations!! Love the whole family!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Congrats to the newly weds.God bless.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I would have expected Michelle to dress up, it looks like she is wearing one of her every day shirts. It's her daughter's wedding, the least she can do is dress for this special day.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I agree...from the photos I've seen so far it looks like Jinger had an elegant, wedding. It looks like Michelle is wearing a button down shirt....she dressed up for Jill and Jessa's wedding, why not Jingers?

      Delete
    2. Michelle's actual wedding day dress hasn't surfaced in pictures yet. That congratulatory video they made was not taken at the wedding.

      Delete
    3. I agree! In the video Jim Bob says, "They just got married." So yes, that was what Michelle wore to the wedding. An everyday shirt. She wore such beautiful dresses for the other weddings. She really could have reworn one of those other dresses like Mrs. Bates has done for her children's weddings.

      Delete
    4. The congratulatory video was made right after the wedding. Mr. Duggar even says, "They just got married..." And you can hear the crowd in the back.

      Delete
  41. So excited for them!! God bless their families ๐Ÿ˜Š

    ReplyDelete
  42. So happy for this lovely couple who are so much in love. I wish them a lifetime of happiness together.

    ReplyDelete
  43. When was this video taken? Jim Bob was photographed going into the wedding wearing a purple shirt and a much lighter colored suit. Did they all change for the reception, or was this filmed way in advance (rehearsal dinner)?

    ReplyDelete
  44. Am I the only one who didn't know they were getting married today????

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yes, although a bunch of people here didn't believe it when the news was mentioned in advance.

      Delete
  45. Are you freaken kidding me!!! Saturday was the wedding and I didn't know until now. I didn't expect them to get married until Christmas Eve or Christmas Day or New Year's Eve or New Year's Day. And on Spurgeon's first birthday, how special. Did you know it was also Missy and Jase Robertson's son Reed's wedding day too?

    ReplyDelete
  46. Even though this is a Duggar blog, I have to ask. When did Reed grow up? I remember when he was young teen. It also reminds me of when the Duggars were younger. They were the cutest kids!
