5 Days 'Til Duggars Return to TV

The moment you have all been waiting for is only five days away! Seven months after the series finale of 19 Kids and Counting aired on TLC, members of the Duggar family are returning to prime time TV.

Jill & Jessa: Counting On--a three-part special event starring the Dillards (Jill and Derick Dillard and their son Israel Dillard) and Seewalds (Jessa and Ben Seewald and their son Spurgeon Seewald)--premieres Sunday, December 13th, at 8pm ET/7pm CT on TLC.

In addition to following the lives of the two married Duggar daughters, Jill & Jessa: Counting On will also feature Anna Duggar, as she speaks out for the first time since Josh Duggar confessed his pornography addiction and infidelity.

"It was heartbreaking to hear what had happened," shares the mom of four in the promo video below.

*We know that the Duggars would appreciate your prayers for their family and for TLC as this three-part mini series is released to the public.

  2. Not going to watch. Anna Duggar should not be put on display for entertainment. I urge all of you who call yourselfs followers of Christ to show compassion to this young woman and do not contribute to her suffering. Do not watch. As for Jessa and Jill, they are not the victims of Josh's latest misdeeds. How many tears they shed is immaterial.

I am not even watching the advertisement for the show. This young woman should be allowed to grief in privacy.

  4. I'm looking forward to the shows. My DVR was set to record the instant it showed up on the TV menu! Lol! I hope and pray for all involved to be greatly blessed as well as the people who watch. I pray for the unhappy, non-Christian public who enjoy ripping this sweet family apart will be so blessed that they have nothing but positive things to say. May God be with this precious family always.

  9. I will be watching Jill & Jessa; Counting On. They are Christian ladies who are outgoing and like being on t.v., and are good at it. Their faith in God is very important to them, and I know their show will be family-friendly. I heard somebody say once, find something your good at and find a way to get paid for it. You guys take care.

  12. Pray for TLC??? Why???

  13. I unfortunately will not be watching. Maybe if Anna wasn't on the special. I don't know if Anna decided to do the special on her own or if she felt pressured by TLC to do so. I don't think any woman should have to speak publicly about her husbands indiscretions. In the TV commercial, Aana's eyes are red and teary. I can't watch Anna speak about the awful things Josh did to her. So, nope, I can't bring myself to watch someone who is obviously in emotional pain.

  21. at this point still wishing the very best for anna and her childern. hope someday somehow she can wrap her own mind around the hurtfulness josh has caused her. still find josh own selfish behavour to be highly up setting its no excuse for any married man to behave, hope in time he,ll come to understand he alone has lost so much includes anna,s own trust

  22. It will be wonderful to once again see part of the Duggar family, Jill & Jessa, Dereck, and Ben with children Israel & Spurgeon, and Anna. Many of us have prayed with hearts of love for all the family and want the best for them. May God continue to bless them all. I look forward to watching their new program.

  24. I see Josie's face in Israel's. I have everyone's faces memorized. I own all that were sold as DVDs, and have watched them all many times. I feel like a member of the family.

  25. Oh no.....that is so very sad....just cannot understand how money and fame have become the Duggar family priority in life, the desperate need to be on TV is shocking and how cruel of them to put Anna in the spotlight after everything she is going through. They should encourrage each son and daughter of theirs to have normal jobs and most importantly teach them how to lead a normal Christian life without this need to be famous...In my country, France, I know many wonderful large catholic families and who are very religious, forgiving and do so much for others. They would never ever put their children in the spotlight, and are a beautiful example to others around them and all those they help. You do not need to be famous and rich to spread the word......

    1. Did you ever stop to think that maybe Anna wanted to speak out? That she wanted to tell her side? That maybe she felt she needed to in order to heal? Don't judge.

    2. My thoughts exactly Kate!

    3. More people should be open to this instead of excluding the real reason why they are doing this. I cannot believe they would do this.

  26. I read Comments #2 and 21 with some interest because I understand that watching Anna speak about something so incredibly painful is akin to watching an accident in progress and being unable to stop it. Anna has unfortunately become the poster child for all the wives whose husbands held themselves publicly to a very high standard and yet who fail on those very points they promote. Her ability to say anything without the words, tone and visuals being twisted, dissected and held up for intense scrutiny by those who want a martyr or a villain is almost impossible. There are very few platforms that she can use to talk about the impact the revelations of the past year. That she has chosen this platform to make her statements is her choice. She also has four children to raise and perhaps, she wants them to be able to say to them that she took the opportunity to have her voice heard.

  27. I never missed a showing of them All it proved is even the most careful of parents, things can happen that dont fall into line of their beliefs Josh got fame, and misused it unfortunately their children will one day see all this played out on the internet, I hope they don't hate Josh too much and can have some ind of life w/their father, after he cleans up his act whether he is w/anna still or not

    ReplyDelete
  28. Anna could have said no... its not like anyone twisted her arm..

    ReplyDelete
  29. I agree with the previous commenter -- I can't even watch the promos for the show. I change the channel. This family doesn't seem like the same family from 14 Kids...

    ReplyDelete
  30. PLEASE post the episodes on here for the people who dont have TV!! PLEAS PLEASE PLEAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  31. What woman/women would genuinely want to speak about something like this on national TV, let alone someone who's been through everything the Duggars have been through, let alone someone as sheltered as Anna has been her whole life... Something is not adding up here. Who or what is the driving force for TV cameras to be allowed back in any Duggar home? If it's money, then where are the Christian values? If it's fame, same question? If it's control, ditto. If it's telling "their side" of the story, why bother, when official police reports and Ashley Madison accounts have already been made public? How can those be denied at this point? How is this going to help public image, other than to try to appeal to those who already don't want to believe the evidence?

  32. I am hoping for big things with this new show! I hope Jill and Jessa keep a tight grip on it and remember this is theirs and are not pressured into including everyone. I like seeing the kids but I don't like the way the Josh stuff was handled.I am sure it will be a hit.no one ever answered what happened to the dogs which were on the show?

    ReplyDelete
  33. Cannot understand why the Duggars chose to come on TV and bring up Josh's disgusting behavior again. What do Jill and Jessa have to do with the Josh and Anna situation? They were not the victims this time. Anna and her children are the victims. Why would Anna want to discuss the situation on television, it must be humiliating for the woman.

  34. Don't plan on watching. It's so sad to see Anna in so much pain and nowdays TLC is just trying to make money off of the duggar's every single imperfection.

    1. I absolutely agree. So sad to see the family allowing this to take place. Just awful. Won't be watching either.

    2. I feel they needed to be taken down a step or two,why do some people seem to think they know what God wants as if they have a direct line to Him my husband kept telling me that they were heading for a fall he always found the the show to be creepy.

  35. I also hope that it portrays the truth.

  40. Hi Readers,

In the past, episodes featuring the Duggars have been uploaded to Amazon and iTunes within a couple days of their premiere. That is the best way to watch for those who can't tune in to TLC.

    Blessings,
    Lily and Ellie

  43. Anna is not being put on display.
Pornography is a very REAL problem and the more it is discussed the better.
Being a follower of Christ has nothing to do if I watch or don't watch and I don't think that you should even say that. Showing compassion means coming along side and showing support...not
running away. I have been in her shoes and I am thankful for all my friends and family that came along side and supported and prayed for me.

  44. I wish this family well, I really do, but I have no interest at all to continue to support this show in any form. At this point, I'm they must have enough money, so why continue this, don't you think it's simply time to heal and stop these shows.

  45. Counting the days! The more Duggar's on show, the better, because I miss all of them. Inspirational family!

  46. I am excited to see the family again and I am glad they are returning. I think their story needs to be told and how they are moving forward from the past!!! They are trying their best to move on and as fellow Christians and people who care about them we should be in Prayer and good thoughts for them. Be of good encouragement so that they can move forth and let God take control!!!
