Interview with Jill and Jessa Part 1

"I do want to speak up in [Josh's] defense," Jessa told Megyn Kelly last night on The Kelly File (video below). "In Josh's case, he was a boy, a young boy in puberty, and a little too curious about girls. And he made some bad choices."

  1. Glad to hear someone else say that forgiveness and trust are not the same thing...

  2. Josh & Anna both need to get healthy. Watching TV & episodes with Anna preparing meals with the exception of the salmon meal, the majority of meals prepared by Anna appear to be unhealthy. Josh appears very unhealthy & looks older than he is. Jim Bob & Josh's siblings appear to be in shape. Soon Josh & Anna will have 4 children, These children need their parents. For the sake of these blessings, please Josh & Anna (after delivery), get into shape.

  3. This has been a private family matter that has made public headlines simply because the Duggars believe in Christ and try to live a Godly life. My heart is breaking for them right now. I was also victimized by my older brother when I was very young. Thankfully my story will not be all over the front page news. Please let the Duggars know they are supported and loved by many people. God Bless.

    1. Totally Agree. Leave them alone. I'm sure there are those just looking to put them down. They made things right and Josh was a kid himself. Give them a break. Look at your own family. Haven't you or someone in your family made mistakes. Are you perfect? Josh repented and God has forgiven him. He turned his life around and I believe this family is being persecued because they are christians. PLEASE stop now.

    2. I completly agree. I too was victimized by my older brother.i feel this is a family matter. I see my brothers mother posting stuff and degradeing the situation and all I can think is if you only knew what your own son did you would keep your mouth shut. Why re victomize these girls again. Why make them relive this tragic event? It should have been left in the past where it belonged!

  6. Was very encouraged by what you had to say! You spoke well and said what needed to be said! Goes to show it doesn't matter what anyone says... critics will never believe. I felt a little uncomfortable about the possible suing??? Perhaps I don't know enough about the legalities... but I'm not sure how that coincides with the Bible talking about 'vengeance is Mine, I will repay' says the LORD. Pray that you can keep peace amongst all the chaos. Pray for those who persecute you. I pray that your testimony will draw many people to Jesus!

  7. You are all amazing family.. Every family should be like yours.. anyone who says you bring Gods name into it and that that is wrong.. they are wrong!!!!... God is a big part of your life and that is what got you all through this.. I believe whomever opened this up should be put in jail.. Josh was a very young minor himself.. This is devastating for them to do what they are doing to you!.. These people need to look in their own mirrors before saying anything bad about your family.. I love you all (including Josh) and I am praying for your family.

  8. So well-poised. Beautiful job speaking about such a difficult and highly personal event. So proud of you two!! Please prayerfully pursue your family of origin with a dogged defiance of the World. He came to restore and redeem. Amen.

  9. I feel the Duggar parents and children are dealing with this issue in an admirable way. They are open and honest and really a godly family! They dealt with a unqestionably difficult situation in a loving and resposiple way - and continue to do so. I'm not excussing the wrong doing but asking everyone to not be sooo judgemental - it really could happen to any family. They dealt with it ,fixed it as best they could and soldiered on. Keep strong Duggards - many feel your pain and believe in you as a strong christian family - not perfect(as none of us are) - but a wonderful example of a family trying to live as Jesus would! God Bless each of you!

  10. That entire interview with the 2 Duggar girls was wonderful. They did an awesome job of revealing the entire situation for the world to see and understand. God bless the Duggar Family.

  11. I have even more respect for the Duggars now than I did before having known the extra hardships and struggles that their family has had to endure over the years. My only wish is that they would have been more honest and upfront about all their struggles together. There is no such thing as perfect family or person in this world. Thank you Duggars for sharing your lives with us .

  12. I feel the Duggars should sue the people who brought this to the media, is it ok for the media to report about every single minor that has been abused, raped, molested in some way? where is the privacy and confidentiality for these victims. these two girls should not have spoken out about there ordeal, that is totally private and they do not have to explain themselves to anyone, they are the VICTIMS in all this. God bless Josh and all the Duggars.

  13. I saddens me to think that someone chose to tear this family, actually any family,a part for the root of all evil.MONEY. I am however thrilled that this person will stand in judgement with God. I pray that this family will rise above this yet again and stand strong as the family that we have come to love. I think for more reasons then one, this has been blown out of proportion..If this was a neighbor, would it be on the front page of all the rag magazines and papers..I think not...I pray for the Duggars and can only hope we will be reunited with them..For the haters..I pray for them also..If they can not forgive them they are putting themselves above God...God has forgiven him and I do hope everyone can do the same..Much love to all the Duggars..

  14. ALL haves sinned and come short of the Glory of God...so yeah... He that is WITHOUT sin cast the first stone. We ALL have Skeletons in our Family Closets!!! Rom.3:23
    John 8:7
    Matt.7:3-5

  15. The people who released the police report should spend many years in jail for causing these women "to feel a thousand times worse" than when it actually happened. Josh was a minor and it should have never been released; it was a sealed document anyway and the girl shared their hearts with them; they feel betrayed

  16. So sorry y'all were exploited God will help Y'all

  17. These young women are amazing !!! So young yet poised and articulate and honest. I love this family even more than I did before this unlawful and unethical report came out. The Duggar's are a beautiful family who aren't perfect and don't claim to be. My family and I have loved watching their family for years and we hope TLC will reinstate them very soon. They bring joy and laughter and family values to all of us. They do feel like a part of our family. I wish they could all come over for dinner sometime !!!! I Thank God for their family everyday.

  18. I have been watching your show for a long time, I enjoy you all and I am thankful that you have shared your lives with me. I apologize for all the hurtful things you have to hear in this trying time. Public opinion is so fickle, you deserve so much more than what you have received from us. No family is perfect, Keep your heads high and look to each other and God. You owe nothing to us. I hope that this passes and I am able to continue to see your family grow. I think your family is great and my prayers are with you all.

  19. I cannot believe the ungodly attack on this family. I wasn't surprised however being this a day of lawlessness and antichrist activity on the globe. Hang in there Duggars. You're on the frontline of demonic attack and your faith in Christ will sustain you and bring you out victoriously. Big families, big trials, make for big faith and this is what you are called to manifest.

  20. i hope and pray they pursue legal ramifications toward the ones who brought this out. I SUPPORT the duggards!!!!

  21. This has been brought up because they have wanted to be in public! Now they say tabloids this and tabloids that but when the tabloids pay them to film, take photos and interview they will jump right in to that.
That´s what "celebrities" go trough. The tabloids will feed you and then they start digging the trash cans and bins on your back yard to feed themselves.

  22. Will be praying for all of you.

  23. May God bless you during this time. I guess we know that Satan is alive and doing his deeds. Remember where he ends up. I pray God will continue to protect and show you the way you all need to go.

  24. The Lord bless you Josh! Jesus came to atone for my sins and yours! I count you a beloved brother in Christ! And the whole Duggar family as my own family. Any critics of yours are welcome to join Jesus' family as well because He died for their sins too. Even this sin of exploitation. Jesus- be glorified!

  26. So many do not admit to their wrong doing, apologize, or feel remorse for what they have done. Duggars are human. Christians are watched so closely, and non-Christians are so quick to point their finger about how we still sin. We will sin! We are still human. Thankfully, we are forgiven for those sins. I am praying for all of them!!

  27. John 8:7 I repeat John 8:7

  28. Continued prayers your way! Wicked and evil will never allow for changed hearts and forgiven sinners. Wicked and evil would like to keep all sinners in bondage. Christ defeated all of this years ago. Continue to shine for Him! In the end, God wins!

  29. You know, everyone is making this look like it happened yesterday and it is totally NOT right! I just feel like this is a family issue that was already dealt with and doesn't need to be brought up again and slandered everywhere today. No, the Duggars are not hypocrites in showing that they are passionate about God! Yes, Josh may have done a wrong thing, but God forgives and everyone has forgiven him that needed to forgive him. Duggars, you are in my prayers!
