ReplyDeleteYou probably caught this but the 2nd picture from the bottom is actually Jinger, not Jessa. It's not a big deal, especially since those two have always been really close. All the pictures are great! Happy Birthday, Jessa!

Jessa looked most stunning at Erin Bate's wedding, with her modern day skirt and her waist accented--she didn't look "sexy"--she looked stunning; and if her 'courting partner' disapproved, I am sure there would not have been pictures taken and Jessa would have been sent home to change her clothes.
ReplyDeleteMichelle is Grandma now and even Grandma Duggar is more stylish than Michelle. I think when Michelle looks in the mirror, she sees her cheerleader self of past days and she still sees herself as a "bun oven" even at 46, 47, whatever years of age....and she sees herself as no value now unless she is pregnant, which is so wrong.
It is like this--if people doubted before the Duggars and the Bates are Quiverful, Bill Gothard attended Erin's wedding and sit right next to Michelle should remove all your doubts. The Quiverful movement is not based on Scripture as told by Gothard.
I wonder what will happen when one of the children of this movement (or already has happened) finds out they are infertile, either by the husband or wife. If is was my child, I would tell them this is perfectly okay--to read the Bible--not all of us are meant to reproduce; there are barren women in the Bible. Not all of us are meant to be married; read the Bible--that is in there. However God meant them to be, I love them for who they are and how God created them.
They pray for "single parents" as they should, however, not all single parents are that way because of "sin." A spouse may have died. A spouse may be at war in another country. Which brings up even another subject as to how these families are so out of touch--why don't any of them--not one of the featured Gotharites--serve in the military? Not one of them, yet they "honor" the military. I guess they do, when it is not your life or your child's life in harm's way!
Too many holes in these beliefs. They don't want insurance to pay for abortion. Well, I don't believe in fertility treatments based on the same Biblical beliefs the Duggar's say they believe--God ordains how many children are born to a Mother. If medical science can't be used to abort one, why CAN medical science be used to bring one into the world? Oh, if God ordains birth, how does God not ordain a child born to a single parent is not just as valuable and loved by God as one of the Duggar children?
I do not have a child that is gay, but if I did, I would keep them a mile away from Gothard, Duggar, Bates, etc. I don't have an answer to that one because I don't believe in gay marriage, etc.; however, I have never faced this in my life. I do know the Bible loves all people. God loves all people and all people are from His creation. I guess that has to include gays.
It includes forgiveness for the man that gave Michelle Mother Of The Year, whom I am sure all Gotherditges have forgiven. God does say one sin is equal to another. Quiverful, etc. can forgive Vision Forum, I guess.
I just wish TLC would shut down filming "religious" shows and stop confusing Christians. This family is a cult. TLC can film and say "This is what Amish believe," "This is what Polygimists believe," but nowhere about the Duggar's do they says "This is what Quiverful believe." That needs to be said.

ReplyDeleteDear Anonymous 9:42 a.m. - what's wrong with women wearing skirts? Women have been wearing skirts for centuries. Why does she have to wear jeans? Do you really think SHE thinks she isn't approved of by God if she doesn't wear skirts? You need a hobby or something. Too much time was put into caring about whether she wears skirts or jeans. She is stunningly beautiful and would be so even in a potato sack.

ReplyDeleteRegarding the interesting anti-quiver full message. Not sure what the issue is with quiver full or Bill Gotherd, Perhaps the poster has personal experience with this movement and Mr. G. in any event dear writer you seem to really be upset It's okay to disagree with their principles and their beliefs, but the Duggars and Bates have every right to make choices they deem correct and Godly as do you and I. I may not be part of a quiverfull movement, but I respect the belief that children are a blessing from God. I happen to agree with that and don't think very many people could possibly disagree that children are indeed a blessing. The Bates and Duggars have a platform at this particular time and I would much rather spend an hour once a week watching them on television than I would wish to watch what I call "lewd-e-vision". If there is enough room in this world for mainstream "lewd-e-vision" there is enough room for large families, homeschooling, parents who love each other and their children, girls in wholesomewear swimsuits and guys willing to court a young lady. These families are encouraging people to love and serve God, their family, and others. I like it!
That is the beauty of free speech in the USA. There are many variations of Christians that believe slightly different things. However that does not change the fact that we worship the same Living God!

Jessa is beautiful, and it has nothing to do with the outward appearance, it is what radiated from her heart. And that only comes from parents who are willing to take the time to instill in their children an honest love for the LORD. I AM SO THANKFUL FOR THE DUGGARS!!!!
