Did you catch part one of Jana Duggar's wedding? She and Stephen Wissmann have been married almost five months, and part two of their special day has just been uploaded to YouTube. You'll enjoy watching the wedding ceremony processional, including the tender moment when Jim Bob Duggar walks his eldest daughter down the aisle. You'll hear the pastor share his message, and you'll see the crowd cheer as Stephen and Jana are pronounced husband and wife. If you look closely at 13:00, you'll catch some of the Duggar family photos. Then it's on to the reception, which kicks off with lively bridal party introductions. Jessa Seewald steps up to the mic to give her matron of honor speech, followed by the best man's speech, the romantic first dance, and the send-off.

What a beautiful, comprehensive video documenting their fantastic wedding. What a great idea to include individual pictures of family members. Looks like Stephen has a younger sister.. and Jana has her younger brother James..would be fun to see more siblings marry!! What a precious tribute Jessa gave, it brought Jana to tears, and reflected two sisters that deeply loved one another and were there for each other in good and bad times. The quality and audio of the video was perfect.
ReplyDeleteThat was the strangest sermonette I've ever heard at a wedding. Vertical? Horizontal?
ReplyDeleteYeah...I was wondering what he meant???
Delete7:42 and 8:53. I think the pastor meant the secret to a complete marriage is to pray vertically to God and then communicate with each other (horizontally). I have heard of different pastors refer to praying to God as vertical pray.
DeleteWas he talking about your vertical relationship with God and horizontal relationships with other people?
DeleteI really don't like weddings where the minister brings up anything negative like how the bride and groom are going to fight and struggle. It may be true but it does not have to be mentioned during what should be a happy occasion. Better to focus on the couple's love, not strife.
DeleteTalking about anything "horizontal" at a wedding is creepy.
Delete12:59, it's only creepy if you let your mind go there. 🙄
DeleteA beautiful wedding for sure. Was nice to see photos of some family members who have dropped out of social media.
ReplyDeleteI thought they didn't dance because dancing stirred up desires that couldn't be righteously fulfilled. Those were some strange "lively bridal party introductions" for people who don't dance! It's turning out that there were very few true things about their lifestyle told to us on their old show. Deception is sin.
ReplyDeleteThose things were true for Jim Bob and Michelle and probably still are...the adult children can now choose their own convictions and beliefs.
DeleteWe heard those same modest clothing, no dancing, and no music with a beat rules straight from the kids themselves, along with other things they said they adhered to. We heard it on the show and we certainly heard it at length in the books they wrote. That means the kids have thrown out their old convictions and beliefs, with no explanation. I'd love to hear them tell the public why they walked away from the things they were so strict about years ago. They may be "choosing" as adults, but what is behind those decisions, and how do they justify changing those things to all the people who followed or admired? If I had made millions from saying things publicly, I'd feel obligated to give an explanation later if what I said obviously no longer applied.
Delete@Anonymous 5:15 Read Jinger's last book--that explains a lot of it.
DeleteI think it was just how they marketed themselves and was never very real. They claimed to be "frugal" too and look what happened after they hit the TV jackpot. Airplanes, fancy weddings and honeymoons abroad. Actions speak a lot louder than any words.
Delete5 months after the wedding??? What is wrong with these people?
ReplyDeleteWhat was with the pictures on the wall marked SINGLES in one of those wedding videos? That was strange. Are the Duggars running some sort of dating service? Are they trying to get all the kids and grandkids married off as fast as possible?
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's a prayer wall?
Delete@3:25 It didn't look like a prayer wall, it looked like an ordering menu at McDonald's, except instead of picking your burger you pick your life partner. If it were a prayer wall, don't you think it would have said "pray for these people" instead of "singles"? I doubt they'd only pray for singles. It sure looks like some sort of dating wall!
Delete1:03, it doesn't have to say "pray for singles" if they know it's a prayer wall. My guess was that they have different sections of people to pray for.
DeleteJinger is very close to fire evacuation warning areas. Close to her house is an area where they're warning people who might need more time to leave or who have to move animals. Also close is an area where people were told to leave. Close means about a mile in each direction. It would be nice if you gave us an update on what she's doing to prepare right now.
ReplyDeleteJinger and Jeremy live about 30 miles from the fire....they are praying for LA and so am I....let's help in any way we can and keep sending up prayers.
Delete@8:58 No, they are about 5 miles from the Hurst fire, and very close to the evacuation zone around that fire. Remember, there is more than one fire in the LA area right now. Plus the Vuolos moved last summer.
DeleteI hope they are safe. What?God starts the fire and then saves them and claims all the credit?
DeleteGod didn't start any fire. They already caught a guy who started one of them.
DeleteGod is great. -ands is all powerful to do anything. Why did he let that person start the fire if he is all powerful. ?
Deleteimho....the best man's speech was on something that could almost be a suggestion that this marriage match was destiny from a looooong....time!
ReplyDeleteI think the best man was trying to say that when Stephen was ready to get married, he'd turn to someone he already knew and liked. They are well suited to each and seem so happy.
DeleteLA is burning. Are the Vuolos okay?
ReplyDeleteThe wedding was absolutely beautiful! Couldn't be happier for this wonderful couple and I can't wait to see what the future holds for them! I also hope they have as many children as they're hoping for! God bless them. ❤️❤️
