  1. That's nice. Maybe another Christmas baby.

  2. What a sweet interview..your emotions shown when talking about your December 22nd due date and the significance regarding your rainbow baby was very touching. How special that you continue to grow your close relationship with your mom.. sounds perfect that Ben and your mom are your birth team. Can’t think of anyone else to have on your birth team..your loving husband and your sweet mom with her calming demeanor and voice. Congratulations!

    1. She needs to put aside her feelings for that date. It's not fair to the new baby to potentially have a birthday that always gets associated with a past negative event. No child needs to be reminded of miscarriage or death. Mark that date quietly and to yourself if you must. But don't make it a public thing and don't tell the child every year about what day that was.

      Delete
    2. Yes, I agree with you, 4:08 PM.

      Delete
    3. 4:08 you can't shelter your kids from every bad thing otherwise you end up with a child that's grows up into a very sensitive adult that does not know how to function in the real world without calling their therapist every five seconds.

      Delete
    4. Miscarriage is still a loss of a child. You obviously never been through something like that.

      Delete
    5. I really don’t think Jessa plans on telling her little one that, on his or her future birthdays. She makes sure her kids feel very special, loved, cherished and they have lots of FUN!

      Delete
    6. @7:30 On the other hand, you don't tell small children the details of your reproductive journey and the death of a potential brother or sister and oh yeah, we found out on your birthday but happy birthday and try not to think about that! That's how you end up with a child with anxiety issues.

      Delete
    7. People are too sensitive these days.

      Delete
    8. @3:42 Right. Why should we be worried about anyone's sensitivities? It should be every man for himself. Right?

      Delete
    9. @3:42 There is nothing wrong with reminding people that they should not subject their children to negative associations on their birthday.

    10. Life ain't perfect. It's best for the child to learn early.

What is right for you doesn’t mean that it is right for others!! I t is their right to decide what they are feeling!!

    ReplyDelete

  5. My doctor always had my due date wrong.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Your doctor goes by what date you told him/her at the first exam. If your doctor is getting it wrong all the time, then you're probably not telling him/her the correct date to calculate from.

      Delete
    2. That's on you and your cycle record keeping. Unless you're referring to ultrasound dates... Those are notoriously off!

      Delete
    3. That’s likely what they were referring too! Cuz my ultrasound dates were also way off as my dates were according to a very regular cycle

      Delete
    4. Same happened to me. It had nothing to do with me getting the date wrong either. Our maternity care these days is a joke.

      Delete
    5. Doctors measurements and ultrasounds are off too. I'm not saying all doctors are like this, but I find it strange how we can't rely on them. Back when I was having babies, they could tell exactly when I was due and if I would go early or late.

      Delete
    6. I think due dates are a rough estimate. Your body will go into labor when it’s ready. I see so many people these days scheduling an induction. They use to
Not do that unless you were a week or two over your due date or are carrying twins

      Delete
    7. Sometimes it can be confusing if the baby is measuring large. It can make it seem like it's weeks ahead.

      Delete
  6. I can't picture her and Ben "slowing down." She's like her mom. She likes being pregnant. She lets the older kids kind of raise themselves, in a pack. She's more into babies and little ones than older ones. She won't stop at 5. She'll need another baby.

    3. 2:23pm. Jessa is an amazing Mom to all her children. What an unkind thing to say. You mustn't be very happy. I hope things get better for you.

      Delete
    4. How do you know this?

      Delete
    5. Yep. I'd say she's good for at least 5 more babies in the next 10 years.

      Delete
    6. @12:48 I think it's pretty unkind to assume someone is unhappy just because they have an opinion that isn't as rosy as yours, and to tell them that.

      Delete
    7. I don't understand how you would know Jessa.

      Delete
    8. At this rate, she will pass Anna

    9. Are you a mind reader?

      Delete
    10. 4:10 mind readers can't read through screens.

      Delete
    11. @7:27 Have you ever listened to her in her videos?

      Delete
    12. 4:11,the rotten comments I read on here are completely rude and ignorant. Only unhappy people make comments like that. It isn't about disagreeing ,it's about how it's said. Think about it.

      Delete
    13. Listening to what Jessa said I think she and Ben are approaching their max....but that's for them to decide.

      Delete
    14. @10:20 I don't see "rude and ignorant" comments from "unhappy" people, I see differing opinions and in many cases, facts that others who still idolize have chosen to overlook. Lots of times these facts are new to me so I'm glad they're posted. What I don't find helpful are the comments where posters call other posters names or say something derogatory about another poster. I don't know why those are allowed to stay. We're supposed to be talking about what the Duggars are doing and how we feel about that, not each other. Think about that.

      Delete
    15. From what I can see, Jessa and Ben are wonderful parents, so if they can provide for their kids, then who cares how many kids they have. I have seen so many horrible parents in my experience, that if someone can be a good parent, then more praise to them.

      Delete
    16. I think people forget it's a fan site. These criticisms are never on their actual social media.

      Delete
    17. 12:28-If you aren't seeing rude and ignorant comments on here, then you need glasses my dear. The reason these posts are shared isn't so people can disect their lives and offer criticism. It's to share what's going on. You remember the saying "If you don't have anything nice to say,say nothing at all"? Your a very defensive person, and perhaps not very happy either, just like the original commenter. I'm not arguing with you anymore because you aren't very sensible. Sending you warm squishy vibes anyway. Lol 😉

  10. Just because the older children aren't spoilt, lazy and demanding doesn't mean they're raising themselves, like Jessa was raised to be responsible and help out instead of being lazy and selfish she's applying that to her own kids, which is a great achievement because it was mentioned on the show that jessa was actually the most rebellious of the kids as a child.

  11. Congratulations on Jessa and Ben on your rainbow baby. Hopefully I will get to see the birth some how. I can't wait to find out the gender and name of your baby. Delete
    4. 3:41 yep, protected from their mother trying to take away someone's elses right to please her own. 90% of the DNA in the early stages belongs to the father through the umbilical cord. It's weird I know. But it takes two to tango and just because it's growing in your body it doesn't give you right to take it away unless its already passed and mother is in danger. Or it was a forced pregnancy.

    3. What sort of job do you have?

      Delete
    4. Asking about work is a valid question. Others wonder how these families can survive financially on not much income. Nothing wrong with this question. Remember, Jessa does earn income from her YOuTube channel and shilling products on it. She earns money from home. Ben is supposed to be a pastor of a very small church located next door to this house they completely renovated while not owning it. How they do it, I'll never know as he couldn't earn that much money from such a small congregation.

      Delete
    5. Ben is a pastor and Jessa is a social media influencer.

      Delete
    6. 7:35 it is a valid question but people like to criticize their jobs and life choices. They pretend it effects them.

      Delete
    7. I find it odd that a pastor can make enough money to support a big family, especially with all the house renovations. I have my son who’s working as a truck driver trying to support a family of 5, and can’t make ends meet. But ofcourse we live in Washington, where the price of everything is jacked up.

      Delete
    8. Social media influencer is not a real job lol

      Delete
    9. 7:13 Maybe your son needs to switch jobs. It's not good to be a truck driver these days anyway. A lot of layoffs too.

  16. If you have to be mad about how someone lives, rather they are public figures or not, you are the one with the issue. In the case of people like the Duggars, deep down you are upset because you know a woman's place is in the home. I'm not saying you should have a bunch of kids and be submissive to your husband. A woman should be at home taking care of her own kids. That is the biggest problem we see in our public schools. We know when a child is being raised by the grandparents or a baby sitter. Just FIY. Parents are lazy and kids these days are so disrespectful. And don't tell me you can't live in just one income. Maybe if you work at a fast food place. Stop with the excuses.

    1. A woman's place is in the house...and Senate and Supreme Court! Women do not need to just be mommies and homemakers! I'd rather go into the office seven days a week than get married and have kids.

    2. I don't agree with all of this, but as a school teacher, I try my best. I tried teaching 4th and 6th grade. This year I have switched to teaching 3rd grade and it's so much better. I could not control my last classes. The children are out of control and the parents do very little to correct the situation. Teachers can only do so much. The biggest issues are these phones in my experience.

      Delete
    3. @10:22 I find your entire post to be condescending to parents, kids, and especially single mothers. If anyone sounds "mad about how someone lives," you do. You're assuming that everything in every family is picture-perfect, and real life is far from that. Instead of criticizing, you should be sympathetic towards women who have no choice but to work. Maybe they lost a spouse, maybe their spouse has a low paying job (didn't go to college, just like Duggars don't), maybe they had sky-high medical bills, maybe a family business went belly-up, maybe their spouse walked out. Or worse, look at Anna Duggar. She'd be one of those working women you don't approve of if it hadn't been for her in-laws being able to provide for her and all her children. Her kids would be raised by grandparents and babysitters if she didn't have Jim Bob's housing and financing now. I can't imagine a society where women don't work but all stay home taking care of kids. I have female doctors, female dental assistants, a female financial advisor, a female lawyer, am the product of a long line of female school teachers, and a female supermarket employee scanned my groceries this afternoon. If they all had taken your ridiculous, one-sided advice and stayed home, I don't know where any of us would be.

      Delete
    4. @3:31 Where is your school district's administration in all that? Hopefully your school board hasn't been taken over by moms who think their babies can do no wrong and the evil school system is the problem.

      Delete
    5. 10:22 Funny, I find the leaders of this country, past, present, and future wannabes, to be extremely disrespectful too. Mostly male, but a few females too. Maybe the kids are learning by example.

      Delete
    6. 10:22 A woman's place is wherever she wants to be. If she is married and has kids, there's nothing stopping the husband from staying home with them if she makes more money and it's more practical. BTW, I've known quite a few SAHM's whose kids were out of control.

      Delete
    7. 3:31, Children are emulating what they see around them. Adults are the ones acting out of control these days. Road rage, "Karens," and a petulant angry man who always wears a red tie and feels no remorse for saying and doing the most outlandish things. All bad role models. Teachers are in a unique position to step up and show the right way to these children in the classroom, even if they aren't seeing it in public or at home.

      Delete
    8. @3:31 I am also a public school employee, middle school, and the level of disrespect has escalated since school reopened after quarantine. Of course not all kids, but the attitudes have changed, and not for the better. I hope you have a great 2nd semester.

      Delete
    9. Anom 3:31: i understand, I work in the cafeteria at an elementary school. Most kids have manners, and are good kids. But then I see kids that are out of control, rude, and I have to think how their parents are. A lot of kids today are getting this entitlement mentality. It’s pretty bad, because when they act up, the school can’t do anything about it . So the kids have no consequences to their actions. Sad to say, but those are the kids that are going to end up in jail because they were allowed to get away with bad behavior

      Delete
    10. I know many single older women who lament the fact that they never had kids. They end up bitter

      Delete
    11. 8:46 My best friend is an older woman who chose a career over children, and she is far from bitter. In fact, she has the time of her life now that she's retired and nothing is holding her back. I have 2 sisters-in-law who are the same way.

  20. Jessa ia doing right and she is a good inspiration to women. Women should not work. I don't necessarily agree with her and Janas home projects. Women are wives and mothers. Women going to work is why people can't get that much money and raises anymore. It's harder to buy houses etc. Back then you could afford to live on one income. But no they wanted to fight for rights they already had. They just had it better because they didn't have to work.

I am a woman and I really enjoy being single and working for the most part. I'd be miserable if I had to stay home all the time, get married, and have children. Additionally, your comment makes zero sense. What does women working have to do with people not getting raises?

    8. There are terrific males nurses, I worked with them! And terrific male teachers. But 232 said women shouldn’t work. Both nursing and teaching are primary female filled positions and not occupations that males generally fill. We had very few male nurses where I worked. In our unit with staff running at about 100 we had 2 male nurses.

    4. You can't have birthdays on Christmas because the holiday comes first. The child wouldn't get a true birthday gift because it's always merged with Christmas gifts. Nobody enjoys the cake because everyone is overloaded on cookies, pies and candies.

      Delete
    5. The holiday comes first? Tell that to Jews or Muslims or Hindus or... December 25 is not a holiday to everyone. If it is to you and your baby is born that day, then it's up to you to be smart enough to figure out how to make it special every year. If you want to brush it aside and choose Christmas instead, then that's on you. I know plenty of people born on or around Christmas, and nobody gets "merged" gifts.

      Delete
    6. 7:56, that is only if the family chooses to do it that way. You can certainly reduce the sweets and set aside a part of the day that is just for the birthday child. You can give the child the same amount of Christmas gifts as any other child and have birthday gifts separate. And you can buy gifts throughout the year to spread out the cost. Where there's a will there's a way. Where there is no will, there are excuses.
