New Episodes in 2 Months

According to People Magazine, October is the month when new episodes of Counting On are slated to return to TLC. That means that new Duggar content is just about two months away! The last season ended in March, so it has been quite some time.

  1. Glad to hear, love watching the show.

  2. Wouldn’t surprise me at all if the “powers that be” are trying to phase out Christian shows and audiences.

    1. Shows Christian or not must make money. Tell your Christian friends to tune in to Christian shows and buy the products advertised during the show...that’s how it works. No station will get rid of a money maker.

    2. Actually, Counting On, is the only TLC show, that airs, twice a year. All of TLC's other shows, only air, once a year. If you follow along, with TLC's schedule, you can see this, for yourself. https://www.tlc.com/schedule

    3. And who are the powers that be? The president?

      Delete
    4. The only powers who could put the Duggars off the air would be TLC executives, viewers and advertisers. And of course, themselves - again.

    5. Well I seriously doubt that,I seem to remember back a few years when everyone kept thinking they were getting cancelled and look...still here.Thy have too big a fan base and make TLC lots of money, so I do think they will most likely be here for years to come✌🏼

    6. But they have shorter seasons

  5. I'm so excited, can't wait until October. Enjoy watching "Counting On". I like families values and the way they interact with one another. God Bless All

  6. So how far behind will they be this time?

    1. @12:34 I think the right word to answer that is "hopelessly."

    2. I’m guessing it will pick up after John and Abby’s wedding and show us their honeymoon

      Delete
    3. Well there was the honeymoon to Finland, birth of Jessa's baby, Grandma's death and funeral and the spate of baby announcements and the loos of Joy's baby plus the move to LA. That should make for a full season.

    4. It will still be nice to see the family and their story even if we know the outcome.

    5. In October Ivy will be 4 months old. Girls whose pregnancies announcements will be featured, might give birth already.

    6. So about 4 or 5 episodes then season will be over?

  7. Just in time for the baby boom!!

    1. They may have a birth special for Jessa but the other babies will not have been born in time for this season.

      Delete
    2. If the show starts in October, a chance is that Amy's baby will be born, and maybe Kendra's. But then Lauren and Anna are due in November, they might do like a quick special for each birth. If Anna is on the show, I think she and Josh are not included.

  8. So thankful they will be back on the air! More wholesome shows like theirs are needed!!!

    1. As long as people watch these type shows TLC will air them. It's all about generating revenue for the network.

  9. yay about time..we're missing all the girls being pregnant..

    1. They are not girls. They are all over 18, so they are woman. Calling them girls diminishes their personhood and makes them sound like children.

      Delete
    2. Not it doesn’t, it’s just stating this gender🙄

      Delete
    3. Were you triggered, 8:46? We know the ones having babies are not children and we definitely know they are persons. 😄

  10. Ivy Seewald's birth. But think of all the birth announcements, how they told the family, etc. I think there were six: Jessa, Anna, Joy-Anna, Lauren, Kendra, and now Abbie. There have been major moves: Jinger to LA and Jill buying a house (TLC probably can't cover). There have also been miscarriages. That's a lot to get in. I have not seen footage of John and Abbie in Finland. I was so looking forward to it to see the Northern Lights. TLC is losing out with these truncated seasons. They have tons of material right now. And who knows when the next big announcement of birth, courtship, marriage will happen. Can't wait.

    1. John David And Abbie Duggar are expecting their first child

    2. There were also two graduations, James and Jason. And they also lost Grandma Duggar if they had wanted to do a tribute. A lot going on.

      Delete
    3. Jill won’t be on.

      Delete
    4. Jana needs something going on.. courtship maybe?

      Delete
    5. You are so right, there have been so many many changes, maybe they will get a longer season as they used to do in the past.If you go back to when Josie was born, there were so many episodes that year...fingers crossed🤞🏻

  11. Looking forward to the new episodes. Hope to see some of the younger Duggars, too.

  12. Yay!

    Dear Lily and Ellie,
Ivy Jane is about 3 months and her picture is still not on the tittle screen. Just saying.

    Replies
    1. This is Ellie’s blog, she is obviously awear. As she has said many times before, it takes time and effort to make a new title screen so if more couples are pregnant they wait until all the babies have been born before they update the cover.

    2. 2 months, not 3.

    3. Updating the header is a big job, especially at the rate this family is growing. I'm not sure how they will be able to fit them all in. There are some size limitations if you're going to keep the header a reasonable size.

  17. I can’t wait!!! I love the Duggar’s. Their values and the way they live their lives inspires me. I love how they are down to earth an follow their values, you can’t find that now a days

  18. This is good news. It is the only show on television that I watch.
I consider TV to be turning into poison for the inner person. But this show is something to really appreciate for its worthiness to watch! Bring it on!

    1. Are you paying for cable or satellite TV in order to watch only one show?

  23. I'm so excited the show is coming back on. It's been a long wait. I wish they would show more recent stuff and not be so far behind. Even at grandma's funeral Josh gave a nice speech. I would like to see the graduations along with the birth announcements, gender reveals, courtships and more outings. Looking forward to the show. Natasha B.

  24. Last season they ended with Joy saying they will try to have a baby, Kendra saying it's too early to have a new baby and they will let Garrett grow, Lauren was hoping to maybe have a family... Jessa had announced her pregnancy already.
Now they all will update on their pregnancies, plus Anna, plus Amy. Now Abbie. Will show John&Abbie's honeymoon. Ivy's birth. Grandma's death. Joy's miscarriage. Jinger's move to CA. That's a lot of events!

    1. Grandma Mary's death is so sad...

      Delete
    2. It will be very bitter-sweet. Ivy born and 4 generations of Duggars (Grandma, Michelle, Jessa, Ivy), and then Grandma oasses away later.
Also so many pregnancies, and then Joy having a miscarriage at 20 weeks. I still can't get over it, she is so young and healthy, why a miscarriage, and why at so far along. If the baby had some genetic issue, then once again - why young and healthy girl like Joy?? She already suffered a lot while giving birth to her son. Now this...

    1. For sure Jessa's delivery will be included again.

  28. I'm guessing Abbie is having a boy. I wonder if she'll even be pregnant on this season.

    1. They might just do like subtitles. Show their honeymoon and then text "In August 2019, John and Abbie announced that they are expecting".

  29. This year seems to be the first year without a Duggar wedding. Jinger married in 2016, then Joy and Joseph in 2017, then Josiah and John David in 2018... 2019 is a no wedding year. Maybe they could do a quick courtship, with a new wedding reflected in the new season?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. So, you want someone to hurry up and court and get married just so there is a wedding in 2019? Wow some fans are a little too invested.

  30. Lots of catching up to do!! I hope they have many episodes of my favorite family!! They are such an encouragement. Love them!!

  31. I think one show will be called "Babies' Marathon". Someone will be late, someone early, and then 4 girls will have their babies within one week, and family would have to rush from one place to another to see a new baby and congratulate the parents. Amy might be overdue, first boys usually are. I'm sure Amy and Kendra will give birth at a hospital. Then Lauren hopefully will choose hospital too. Anna most probably will have a home birth.

  32. Husbands, wives, and children born and unborn are not usually included in family photographs after their passing. Their names are not included at the bottom of Christmas cards, on family blogs, etc. That does indicate anything except that family photos usually only show living family members.

Look forward to new season. With all the trash on TV, the Duggar family is so refreshing. Thank you TLC for continuing to have the Duggar's on your network.
