One of our loyal readers offered to update our photo header, and we just love the finished product. (We can't thank you enough!) For fun, we have pasted our old headers below to show how the Duggar family has changed since we started our blog almost 10 years ago. You can double-click on each to zoom in. The same person also updated our Bates header--head on over to our Bates blog to see that one.
We also want to mention that these photos are copyrighted (we have permission to use them, but we are unable to extend that permission to others). If you see our header on any other website or social media page, it is being used illegally. Links to our social media can be found at the top of our blog (below the header and tabs).

LOVE the new header! So cute. You did a great job of fitting in all those grandkids!
ReplyDeleteNicely done. I really like the new color.
ReplyDeleteHappy 10th Anniversary
ReplyDeleteIt looks very good! The header certainly has grown over the years. What a great idea to have plotted spaces to the upcoming babies' births. Just wait, another courtship or pregnancy will now be announced now that the header is updated! Lol. Eileen
ReplyDeleteGreat job!!! The header is beautiful and easy to understand. It’s smart that you left spaces for the soon-to-be-born kids. It was really fun to look at all the headers through the years. This project, plus the one for the Bates, is very time intensive. Please know that fans appreciate the amazing work you do to bring these families to their fans, through this blog. Thank you from Barb, a fan
ReplyDeleteBut aren’t Anna and Lauren having girls, why are they marked as boys
DeleteThey aren’t. It’s the female symbol. The female symbol looks like a hand mirror, and the male symbol looks like an arrow and shield.
DeleteI remember that first header! I wonder what their family will look like 10 years from now. A little mind-boggling!
ReplyDeleteI love the new Duggar Header. Thank you loyal reader, your a genius.S.S.
ReplyDeleteThe new header looks good! :) It's interesting to see how the Duggars have grown and changed over the years, and the new families :)
ReplyDeleteI've been following your blog for six years and counting!
ReplyDeleteIt looks great but where is the little boy they are raising- a nephew or something?
ReplyDeleteAnd where's Lauren baby in heaven? She counts it as one of her children.
DeleteThat would be Tyler,Michelle's sister's grandson,he was'nt included because he is fostered not adopted so there is still a chance of him going back to his parents or even another family member.
DeleteI thought he was Michelle's nephew not grand nephew.
Delete@4:34 the header shows the living Duggars and allows readers to see how they’ve changed. There may be many other miscarriages , past and future some shared and others not shared..........not the right place for remembrances of those passed.
DeleteHe's Michelle's nephew and certainly part of the family!
DeleteLauren has one child not 2. And there have been other childeren in haven who are not on a picture.
Delete@2:33 Don't tell Lauren that because she will disagree. She acknowledges two children, not one.
DeleteIt's too bad there isn't some way to include Joy & Austin's baby. I know for us, when we lost our son at 22 weeks, next to the loss itself, the worst was the fact that my family would NOT let us talk about him, nor did most of them even acknowledge his existence. He was real and he is our child. He was never mentioned in my parents obituaries either. Not sure how Joy & Austin feel about it but just knowing how painful it was in our case...
ReplyDeleteI too think Annabell should be included by one of the photo's Joy shared.
DeleteI am sorry that you had to experience stillbirth , but I think you have to understand that everyone has their own way of coping with loss. Some simply do not know what to say to those affected. Regarding obituaries, I don't think it's common to mention stillborn babies or miscarriages in them. I've never read one and my own family/extended family has not mentioned them in any that have been written. We included my mother's infant brother in her obituary because he was born and lived for a few days. We did not mention the stillbirth my grandmother experienced.
DeletePlease add Tyler. Think of how he feels being left out.
ReplyDeleteNo one has been left out. Tyler is not a Duggar so why would he be on the Duggar family pictures? Tyler is well old enough to know he's not a Duggar and how can he feel left out of something he is not even in although he lives with them. To include him would discount his own family and deny who he really is.
DeleteI'll betcha Tyler doesn't read this blog.
DeleteI am sure that Tyler wants to feel part of the Duggar family. Of course, he knows his last name is not Duggar. He still wants to feel part of the family, which is the only stable family he has knows.
DeleteIn any event, why exclude him? There's no reason to exclude him, and plenty of reasons to include him. It would make a little boy happy. That's a reason right there.
Families are created when people show love to one another. It's not about whether the last name matches or not.
He's been on the show, is living with the Duggars, and is a family relation. He should be included.
DeleteAll photos are used with the Duggar’s permission, perhaps he is not in the header at their request. This blog has been ran for ten years by Lillie and Ellie and they have done a great job....they know what works!
Delete12:46-- lol, i thought the same thing. really how much does he actually care about whether or not he's in the header for this blog?? i mean c'mon, boys that age don't care about that sort of thing.
DeleteMO- The newest header looks great- nice job to that dedicated fan! I like when the families are grouped individually with their kids. It's easier to follow each extended family. :o)
ReplyDeleteI like the new header!!!! This heading, includes all of the Duggar grandchildren, in a way, that is easy, to read.
ReplyDeleteyes agreed
DeleteI think they should have honored Joy's baby girl. But it looks great
ReplyDeleteI love the new header but am disappointed to not see the sweet babies that went to Heaven. I really believe in my heart that they too should be a part of the header as they were still a family member
ReplyDeleteNot everybody publicizes their miscarriages
DeleteThis is just the living family. They didn't include Grandma Duggar either. It's not fisrespectful , it's just fact. They are no longer living so not in the photo. It's not rude it's just current life.
DeleteHow would you do that? Miscarriage is a relatively common occurance, sad as it is. It's a private matter and up to the individuals involved to decide how or if to recognize them.
Delete@8:30. As a Mother who has suffered through miscarriage and stillbirth I respectfully disagree with you. When people ask how many children I have I don’t say 5..3 here, 2 in Heaven. . I know we live in an age where people are photoshopping deceased relatives into current family pictures, but is that really a good idea? I’m all for the photo shoot Joy and Austin did with Annabelle. That will help with grieving, but, nope, should not be in the header.
DeleteSo 8:30 with your reasoning why not continue to keep Grandma Mary in the header?
DeleteThis is for the living family. A picture of a dead child can be shocking for people.
DeleteIf you do decide to add a me memorandum for the babies that were lost as some people are suggesting, you could do pink, blue, or white hearts in their place on the header.
ReplyDeleteThere is a memorial of the moscarried babies at the bottom of the birthday page, why would they included on the header now when they didn't include Caleb and Jubilee,it's not logical then they would have to include various deseased people like all the grandparents,"In merory" on the birthday page is good enough.
DeleteI like except the the grandkids pictures are too small for me
ReplyDeleteI love the new header!
ReplyDeleteNicely done, but too small to really see. (My eyesight is fine; no issues with small print.) This is too small.
ReplyDeleteThe header look real nice!!!! That's a lot of work keeping up with a family so big for so long!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSo you would like to see pictures of miscarried babies in the header? That’s a little much.
ReplyDeleteLauren and Joy both count their miscarriages as their children. Lauren uses an angel or balloon symbol. If they believe life begins at conception, then they had these children, even if only for a short while.
DeleteThen you would have to include two more for Michelle. No, the header is perfect just the way it is.
DeleteJoy did have a real birth of het child. Lauren did not.
DeleteLauren's loss is, to her, no less than Joy's. Both named their babies.
DeleteLauren still went through the physically and emotionally painful loss of her child. Miscarriage pain is awful and intense and one shouldn't discount Lauren's experience just because it was less intense than Joy's.
DeleteThis one is the best one yet!
ReplyDeleteThe header looks great but it does seem like this header and the Bates one got smaller. The old ones extended farther to the edges of screen. Maybe it's just the format doesn't work well with my older computer but if there is anything you could do about the size I wanted to point this out.
ReplyDeleteThat's probably on purpose so that it displays better on mobile devices. :)
DeleteThank you for ten years of this wonderful blog. The new header is lovely.
ReplyDeleteHAPPY ANNIVERSARY
Joan,Marion and Marilyn
Love it!!! Wish it was a bit easier to read though!
ReplyDeleteVery nice!! Love seeing the older headers too, with grandma Mary. Great job :)
ReplyDeleteJohanna looks so grown up!
ReplyDeleteIf you were to add Annabelle you would need to add Jubilee as well and other miscarried babies Lauren, Anna and Michelle had one.
ReplyDeleteIm sure there all remembered ans loved no need to add.
I think the header is intended to show LIVING people. I would be appalled if images of babies lost to miscarriage appeared on it.
DeleteThe header is too small to read . Please fix it so it's bigger it's hurt its my eyes
ReplyDeleteJust zoom in. If you need to see everyone’s names go to the birthday section, they’re all there.
DeleteI love seeing all the headers together, it is like a Duggar's Family Wall!!!!! I love U 47!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThis header would be far better if you could click on a photo and enlarge it. The pictures are far too small.
ReplyDeleteLove the new header! I especially love the picture you chose of Michelle / she looks so young and happy!
ReplyDeleteWhat about Tyler? Didn't they adopt him?
