Baby S #3 Coming SOON

Jessa Seewald, 37 weeks 6 days pregnant

Baby Seewald #3 is due on June 5th, which means that Jessa will be 38 weeks tomorrow. As they did for Spurgeon and Henry, Jessa and Ben found out the gender but are choosing not to share it with their families or the public. Jessa's past two deliveries have occurred five days past her due date, so that would put this baby's birthday on June 10th. What are your predictions for arrival date and gender?

According to Jessa, the five Duggar ladies who are currently pregnant (Jessa, Anna, Kendra, Lauren, and Joy-Anna) are planning a photo shoot, hopefully before Jessa's delivery. For interest's sake, we have included snapshots of Jessa's bump during her past two pregnancies.

    1. I sure hope so, but to me she looks like she is carrying another boy, now the last 3 people that I have guessed on have been wrong, I thought they were all girls and they were boys! I am losing my touch. lolol

  3. I'm hoping it's a girl, but I think it will be another boy.

  4. Jessa is huge. If they're going to do a photo shoot of all 5 five of the pregnant ladies, they need to do it SOON.

  5. Jessa looks really well for someone 38 weeks pregnant. Looks like this bump is bigger than the previous ones. I wish Jessa chose to be induced or go to a hospital for delivery, just like Jinger did.

    1. Why? Home births are very safe as long as you have a competent midwife.

      Delete
    2. Why would she choose to be induced?! Let the baby come when it's ready if the mother is healthy!

    3. 10:34-from the Duggar girls’ experience they haven’t had very good home births/midwives. Jill and Joy ended up having emergency c-sections, both because of breech babies that were detected way too late. Jessa hemorrhages after birth and ended up in the hospital.

      Delete
    4. Sometimes you have complications and even the best midwife in the world won't help you as well as competent doctors and medicines.

      Delete
    5. Jessa has had previous issues and having to go to hospital. She is being selfish for having home births

      Delete
    6. until something goes wrong and you are in an emergency situation which does not allow for an ambulance ride to a hospital. I had 3 great pregnancies and during all 3 deliveries there was talk of an emergency c section and I'm glad I was at a place where it was available within minutes should it be needed.

    7. 10:45, your comment is stupid. Jessa hemorrhaged with Spurgeon (which would still have happened at the hospital) and her birth with Henry was completely uncomplicated. Her having a home birth is not “selfish”๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ™„ Also 8:13, Jill made poor decisions during both of her births, and if Joy Anna had had a competent midwife they would have known that Gideon was breach. I wouldn’t call her birth complicated, as she made good choices before it ever became so.

      Delete
    8. 5:45 - How did Joy may good choices if she chose an incompetent midwife? Isn't it Joy's responsibility to have qualified medical professionals attending her birth?

    8. Apparently she has to take selfies in a mirror because there's NO ONE else who can take a picture of her. lol

      Delete
    9. LOL She probably took that picture in the mirror because she knew Ben would never have taken a picture of her in that skin tight dress for her to post to all the world. lol She was a real modest woman when they met and that's no doubt one of the things Ben loved the most about her. I know it's one of the things my husband loves the best about me.

    10. You realize that most of us are on our phones right now to comment and scroll through comments right? Unless you’re on a computer but is that any different? At least she’s making memories her future child will want to see one day. We are all literally wasting time in the comment section.

    14. Anon 11:09 You don't have to be a prude to not want your wife in skin tight dress sending selfies online in it. Just have to be a man who respects his wife enough to not want her to do that stuff to herself.

I think Jessa will have a Boy on June 7 because Spurgeon came Nov 5 and Henry came Feb 6 so get it 5 6 7. By the way I love the photos take with all the pregnant Duggar’s so I can not wait to see it.

  16. OK, I am well aware that the Duggars have their own special definitions for certain words, but there is nothing "modest" about public internet selfies in skin-tight clothing. I'm not saying it's right or wrong, I'm just saying it sure as heck is not modest.

    1. Clearly you don’t know what its like to be 38 weeks pregnant. Nothing fits loosely.

    2. Every pregnancy these women have to put up with comments about how their clothes are not modest. The days of maternity smocks and moo moos are long gone. Jessa’s pregnant belly is beautiful, there is no reason to try to hide it. Her dress is fabulously stylish and modern.

      Delete
    3. Agreed. She seems to be looking at her phone constantly. I've never figured out why she does that.

    4. I loved the way Kendra dressed when she was pregnant the 1st time. She looked classy.

      Delete
    5. But that’s just your opinion, many women today don’t find anything immodest with it๐Ÿคท๐Ÿป‍♀️ Also 7:11, she’s using her phone to take the picture lol

      Delete
    6. "Stylish," "modern," OK...but still not modest. Point being, the Duggars are not modest people despite them trying to bend the word to fit their not accurate definition.

      Delete
    7. YES, YOU ARE CLEARLY SAYING IT IS WRONG. AND THERE IS NOTHING THAT IS NOT MODEST ABOUT WHAT SHE HAS ON? SO WHAT DID YOU WEAR THAT WAS SO LOOSE THAT LATE I YOUR PREGNANCY? A SACK CLOTH DRESS?

      Delete
    8. Anon @ 6:34 Agree that the days of maternity smocks and moo moos are long gone and the pregnant body is beautiful but this dress isn't modest by anyones standards, her belly button can be seen! Kendra managed to be cute and modest during her pregnancy and so did Erin bates, and you can bet Lauren will not be wearing dresses like this, Jessa has given talks to young girls on modesty, this isn't modest by her own standards imo.

      Delete
    9. she's using her phone to take the picture- see comments above!

      Delete
    10. @4:08 No argument from me. Plus I think that picture was Photoshopped to remove something from the tight part.

      Delete
    11. Unless you’re using the biblical definition of modesty which is wearing something specifically to show your status among the elite.
It’s probably not Chanel so I’m pretty sure the only people who are upset are those who think pregnant women should wear mumus and flour sacks.
On another note...she’s nearly 38 weeks. Nothing fits are that point and you are so uncomfortable you’re beyond caring.

      Delete
    12. Would you let your daughter go on a date wearing a dress that tight?

      Delete
    13. Cat, No we didn't wear sack cloth dresses, we wore loose fitting dresses and didn't feel the need to wear a tight dress and take a selfie in it for all the world to see. Tight dresses and blouses are uncomfortable to wear especially during pregnancy, so the reason anyone would do that is not for comfort but for attention. Hope that cleared that up for you. ๐Ÿ˜’

      Delete
    14. I have to disagree, being a week ahead of Jessa, I do find the tight clothing to be more comfortable because it helps hold the belly up, and take the weight of my hip. At least that's one pregnant Mama's opinion. I think she looks lovely and should dress how she feels comfortable

      Delete
    15. A dress like that would get you sent home from school in most school systems.

      Delete
    16. 1:05, if your daughter is old enough to go on a date then she is old enough to make her own clothing choices without someone forcing their extreme opinions on to her.

      Delete
    17. Maybe she is wearing it for the picture, since the picture is to show her belly. I wouldn't say that this is symbolic of her standards. It is hard to find something to wear at that point. I know!

      Delete
    18. @11:05 Kids start dating a lot younger than you think these days! Not even old enough to drive. Certainly not old enough to realize that their clothes are too tight and are going to attract the wrong kind of attention.

      Delete
    19. @7:54 If you need help holding your belly up, then you should talk to your doctor about a special belly and back band that can do that for you properly. You shouldn't rely on tight clothes to do that job because they are not designed the same way those back supports are.

      Delete
    20. I agree 7:12. The dress Jessa is wearing looks like it is a stretch knit fabric and would offer zero back support.

      Delete
    21. Anonymous @7:00 PM- I disagree with " Certainly not old enough to realize that their clothes are too tight and are going to attract the wrong kind of attention.". We taught our daughter long before she could drive (like pre-adolesence) that while she has the freedom to choose her clothing, she also has a responsibility: her choices can and do affect other people. We just explained to her that whatever bait you fish with, usually determines what you catch. Who wants to land a bottom-feeder? If you advertise, someone's going to take you up on the offer. The reality is that, in the world we live in today with pornography so prevalent and easily accessible (along with very bad dark web stuff), our choices could have some pretty bad consequences. There's a whole sub-group of people feeding themselves sick fantasies, with little to no self-control or interest in using any. Let's just exercise some wisdom in what we choose to wear, how we present ourselves. It's a lot like Defensive Driving class. LOL

      Delete
    22. There are tons of proper support garments for pregnant women. A knit dress several sizes too small is not the answer.

  19. I saw a picture of that dress from the front, and I am seriously wondering what happened to the Duggar modesty. This woman was once paid to do a seminar on modesty! Before you say the dress is modest, you should see the other picture. Can the Duggars please admit that they don't follow modesty rules any more?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. That's no maternity dress. That's a knit dress that's way too tight. It's pulling in the front and in the back. There is no need for a dress to cling to the body like that, pregnant or not!

      Delete
    2. Umm... Have you ever been pregnant and in the late spring? If so, then you understand that it is really hot when you are 37 weeks along and it’s above 65 degrees! The other two pictures were taken in late October and January. Much colder months. It’s also very hard to find clothes that fit and comfortable when you are pregnant. In my opinion and experience, what Jessa is wearing is a much more comfortable option. Some of the roomy shirts are short and are not long enough and as your baby is bursting out of your belly, your skin may be exposed for the world to see. Wearing a tent while pregnant is not very comfortable. I feel if she is comfortable in the Arkansas heat at 37 weeks all the power to her.

      Delete
    3. Hey, this is Jessa. Ok. I admit it. I am not modest. There. Now you can live your life like a normal person, instead of obsessively commenting on a blog about what I wear.

      -(Not Really Jessa)

      Delete
    4. They were not adults or married when they wrote the book. They were still following their parents ideals. They are adults now and get to decide what’s right for them. Jessa looks wonderful in this dress. There is nothing wrong or immodest about this garment.

      Delete
    5. Ok, I've been pregnant in late spring-gave birth in mid-June. That's no excuse for a tight top or dress! The truth is that Jessa likes to wear tight tops when she's pregnant because it shows off her baby bump better. Time for a little honesty in Duggar Land.

      Delete
    6. 4:40, those are YOUR modesty standards. Personally I don’t think there is anything wrong with her outfit. Anywho has a problem with it probably has bigger issues going on.

      Delete
    7. Anon 6:32 Hi this is someone commenting on how Jessa, jinger, Jill dress. If the fruit of the book that you wrote as young adults produced married adults who now wear nose rings, skin tight pants and blouses and dresses, then perhaps you should stop selling and making money off that book. Ironic thing is I don't see Anna, Lauren, Kendra wearing skin tight clothes and they never even wrote a book about the importance of modesty. Most of the in law girls in the family live what they believe and don't feel the need to change their standards to fit in with the world. That takes courage and strength and loyalty which brings them honor.

      Delete
    8. Jessa said she sized up a non-maternity dress.

The Duggars still promote the modesty standards found in the book on the show. Jessa has spoken about them on recent episodes, during Josiah and Lauren's honeymoon episode.
It seems anything goes for the Duggars as long as you cover your knees and shoulders.

      Delete
    9. I was pregnant in the summer in Phoenix with only a swamp cooler (average 118 degrees). I chose cotton dresses and tops that were roomy. There is no need to wear skin tight tops that reveal every curve.

      Delete
    10. 9:12, I agree wholeheartedly. Kendra and Anna manage to find maternity clothes that are stylish and modest. I realize styles change but this dress is incredibly tight and leaves nothing to the imagination. I’ve never seen her wear such tight clothing when she isn’t pregnant. Modesty is more than just keeping certain areas of the body covered.

      Delete
    11. Great comment @9:12am! I have been saying for awhile that they should pull that book and stop making money off of it. For the other comment, most of the girls WERE adults when that book was written and then a revised copy was published with chapters after Jessa and Jill were married. I had a baby in early August (80-90s with 70% humidity) and never dressed like that! It just looks silly!

      Delete
    12. How do you not have visible panty line (VPL) in a dress like that? Seriously.

      Delete
    13. That is really strange now to think about it, how just the Duggar girls changed their modesty standards and yet the girls who came from other families and married the Duggar guys didn't change their modesty standards. My sister's and I never felt the desire or need to change our standards after marriage. The Duggar girls need to remember that they are someone's Mom now and it's important to be that example of purity and modesty to their children. Would Jessa want Spurgeon or Henry to bring home a girl oneday in a dress as tight as what she has on? She has to be careful or they will. It's not what we say but what we do that our children follow.

      Delete
    14. @6:38- If they no longer follow their parents’ standards, perhaps they should quit selling that book. If they’re still making money off it, it’s rather disingenuous of them.

    2. My thoughts exactly ... I thought she looked sad her entire pregnancy. Maybe because of Lauren's loss but at the same time, she's pregnant now so she shouldn't be sad anymore. She smiled on the picture above from Spurgeon and Henry's pregnancy.
At first, I thought she was having a girl but now with her sad look, I think it'l be a boy.
Since the uterus gets more confortable with each pregnancy and ahe tends to have them past her due date, I'll go with June 11th.

Most others guessed a boy because I carried so low. There is is no association! I can't wait to see what the gender is :-)

  41. Pregnant and can't find clothes that fit?? Are you kidding? They are called MATERNITY DRESSES. Perhaps they are a bit tent-like but they fit, cover what should be covered and look decent and modest. Absolutely NO REASON why Jessa,, at this stage, should be modeling clothing that IS NOT maternity wear. She looks awful in that outfit. No modesty or good judgement there IMO.

    1. 4:06- I remember when two of the girls went to great lengths to alter their fire dept. uniforms from pants to skirts! One can find loose-fitting clothing to accomodate a growing belly without too much trouble. I do it all the time, and I'm in my sixties, far past the age of getting pregnant!

      Delete
    2. Way back when (in the 60s) I had my babies maternity clothes were jokinly called hatching jackets = silly.
Today (these days) pregnant women wear bathing suits etc.
Jessa does not look awful - see looks like an expectant woman and is COVERED UP. that is MY opinion

      Delete
    3. I agree. I don't understand the excuses Duggar fans make for these skin tight tops. I never had any problem finding maternity tops that were loose fitting and IMO far more comfortable than these outfits that are so tight.

      Delete
    4. I don't recall any of them wearing loose fitting maternity clothing which don't show every single curve. Most have worn skin tight clothing throughout. They seem to follow certain rules when not pregnant and another set of rules while pregnant.

    9. She is gorgeous. But modest she's not.

  42. It’s 6 Duggar ladies! Amy is pregnant too! Happy for them all

  43. Amy is also pregnant! That means 6 at once! Wow!

  44. Well Amy is also pregnant so that means 6 at once! So many at once!

  48. She charged $20 per person three years ago to hear her talk about being Fashionably Modest, then ends up wearing that? I don't get it.

    1. Say one thing, do another. BTW Kendra didn't seem to have any trouble finding attractive outfits that weren't skin tight.

    2. Did Jinger wear stuff like that? I only remember the light blue dress she wore to the gender reveal. Same dress Lauren appeared in publicly before she had announced. Kind of gave it away.

    3. It's interesting how some of the older marrieds standards have changed, but all of the guys have chosen wives who keep the same modesty standard espoused by the Duggars initially. Are there two sets of rules?

      Delete
    4. They appear to have differnent standards when it involves pregnancy.

    5. Anon 11:25. You're so right. I think the girls chose men who would give them more freedom, the guys opted for someone they can control.

    6. 7:04, Kendra only posted a couple pictures while she was pregnant so we really don’t know what she wore day to day. Also the outfits we did see weren’t attractive, they were honestly kind of frumpy looking.

  49. Jessa's selfie is not modest. I am blushing.

    1. Well that’s concerning, I’d see a doctor.

    2. @1058 you are so right, they should see a psychologist if this pic makes them blush.

    3. I'm not blushing. However, I don't think it's modest at all but I see no reason for other posters to attack you with rude responses

  50. I’m predicting a baby GIRL on June 9th. 8lbs 15oz and 21” long. I’m really hoping it’s another boy. If it is a girl she will be helping Jessa with all the boys and become just like Jana, doing everything for everybody all while “keeping sweet” ( michelle’s term she used on the episode 14 and pregnant again which means doing everything with a smile on your face even if it’s doing jurisdictions such as gathering dirty laundry or washing dishes).

    1. I don’t think Jessa and Ben are planning to raise their kids the way Jessa was raised๐Ÿ™„

    2. I agree. A good attitude is one thing, but this "sweet" smile aspect that Michelle enforces isn't real and I hope her offspring give that up.

  51. BEAUTIFUL!!
    A very beautiful picture!
I think it is really wonderful that Jessa & Ben keep the sex of the baby to themselves. I love surprises and they are not obligated to share that information with the world. Super smart of them. Good for you J&B for doing it your way.
I think the baby is a boy and I also hope it is:)

    1. If you keep the sex of the baby to yourselves then you can get more for the story from a magazine.

    2. We all want to see pics and info about the birth....right. It’s months before the show will bring details, the magazine articles let us see sooner. I say good for them if they make a few bucks, it’s their personal info.

    3. Funny, I find it a surprise no matter when I find out the sex of someone's baby. IMO, waiting until the baby is born doesn't make it more so.

    4. Maybe they like keeping the gender to themselves as a way of maintaining one little piece of privacy.

    1. Hi!! Same person who wrote the comment above that says Girl, June 1st!! Maybe name: Emma for girl and Cooper for boy. I also think, since Jessa has had BIG babies, 9 pounds and 1 ounce

  53. I think it well be June 5th and I also hope she delivers at the hospital. Just because the kids are older and they need to get a bigger house in time for the baby. I can't wait to see the gender reveal party and the birth. Hopefully a one hour special. Natasha B.

  54. I think girl on June 2 weighing 9lbs. Emma for a girl and Andrew for a boy.

  55. Probably a few days late and I think it will be another boy although I'm hoping it's a girl!

  56. If Jessa wants to wear a leotard and take selfies in a mirror during her pregnancy, so be it. However, I don't consider that a role model for conservative Christian women.

    1. I don't consider it worthy of posting online either. Keep it in the private family album.

  57. I’m not sure what all the fuss is about. She’s carrying a baby. If she wore a loose fitting garment, would we not know she’s pregnant? Pregnancy is a natural part of life, and I think that there’s nothing wrong with showing your bump. How many people have commented that they can’t wait to see the baby, but criticize for wearing the clothes while she’s carrying that baby. I think she looks absolutely beautiful in that dress. Jessa, you go girl!

    1. It's not just the bump. Other than the sleeves, her dress is skintight.

  60. I am thinking girl and the baby will come on june 11, around 3am in the morning. Jessa is dropping a hint by wearing pink.

  61. I think she's having a girl this time.

  62. She is a girl and will be here on June 7th..

  63. If I were Jessa, I would find some birth center and get induced, like Jinger did. She is already so huge. I don't understand why they like to suffer during labor.

  64. As an Mom, Aunt, Teacher, long-term Children's Ministry volunteer, life-long Pro-Lifer, and Pregnancy Help center volunteer, I absolutely love children of all ages. But every time we get these dramatic, moody poses in skintight clothing, it's like being pregnant is somehow some kind of personal achievement. It goes a bit beyond just being happy and excited about your baby's upcoming birth and wanting to share that with your friends and family.
