With six (soon to be seven) Duggar children married, there could easily be at least one daughter or daughter-in-law pregnant at any given time. For fun, we complied a bunch of snapshots of their baby bumps over the past few years.

Sweet girls,as well as beautiful!
ReplyDeleteExcellent collection of pictures. Thank you!!!!! Very fun
ReplyDeleteI love seeing baby bumps... more so babies, but I wish they couples would wait like Jeremy and Jinger. Enjoy each other for awhile before making babies. Your whole world changes asy that point. But still love you (mostly).
ReplyDeleteI really can't stand the phrase "making babies." Only God can decide whether or not a new life results from a husband and wife's relationship, which God created for the enjoyment of husband and wife.
DeleteAt anon 5:01 well I can't stand the phrase "baby bump".
Delete12:26 - I'm 5:01, and I don't like "baby bump" either! :)
DeleteAnon @ 12:26: lol, I agree! And "baby bump" does not describe Joy's appearance in Feb 2018, extremely pregnant with a 10 lb baby. Her profile is hardly a "bump", haha!
DeleteI can't stand the phrase "baby bump" either.
DeleteI noticed that in the bottom right corner of the picture collage that Jessa is wearing the same top as Anna is wearing in the first picture....or at least it looks like it. Good for them for recycling. Also, in the first picture, Jessa has quite the arched back trying to show a bump but it doesn't really look like she is showing there.
ReplyDeleteQuite the observant one you are
DeleteNot exactly... they are clearly not the same polka dot patterns.
Deleteobviously jessa cant be more than 7 weeks or so here since spurgeon was born in november and israel in april so i'm betting they wanted to get a bump pic before israel was born. luckily they were able to!
DeleteWhat’s the longest the family has gone without someone being pregnant? Can you do a timeline of all the grandchildren pregnancies to show how they overlap?
ReplyDeleteI’d like this, too. :) I wonder what the maximum number of daughters/daughters-in-law who will be pregnant at a time is! What do you guys think?
DeleteJill had the biggest baby bumps. Is she able to have any more children? We never did find out what went wrong when Sam was born. I wonder if she had to have a hysterectomy
ReplyDeleteSam most likely swallowed meconium, which would explain the hospital stay, and then having to go home with oxygen, that doesn’t mean Jill had to have hysterectomy, although it’s possible
DeleteJill does not owe anyone an explanation about what happened with Samuel's birth. And it's rude of you to speculate that she may have had a hysterectomy!
DeleteAnd her medical records are our business why?
DeleteJoy beat her by a long shot.
DeleteThe hysterectomy assumptions were because family friends had offered serious-sounding prayers and references to something that had happened.
DeleteOur first born swallowed meconium, which can be very dangerous for our little ones, I didn’t get to hold my son for over 24 hours because of that and the cord being wrapped around his neck. They have to run many test & monitor the baby to make sure the baby is going to be ok from the meconium. As a young mother myself, it is a scary situation.
DeleteVery thankful that Sam is doing great. Blessings to y’all!!
They should wait and enjoy married life. There is more than just have aa many childeren as possible.
ReplyDeleteOh my!😂
DeleteWe had a honeymoon baby, and I can assure you that we still enjoyed married life.
DeleteSame here, 11:08. We had a honeymoon baby and our marriage is wonderful! Wouldn’t change it for the world.
DeleteJill should not have Abu more. It is dangerous. And Jesse has a hard time with 2 boys.
ReplyDeleteAbu? Do you mean any? If so I agree with you. Two kids are plenty especially while Derrick is in school.
DeleteJill doesn't have any children named Abu. JessA finds two small children keep her busy, but that's not unique. Give them a few years to grow a little more independent and it will be a little less challenging.
DeleteHoney, its their life, not yours.
DeletePraying for all the mommies-to-be to have safe and healthy deliveries.
ReplyDeleteJust saw that Anna’s sister Priscilla is having another girl
ReplyDeleteHAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all the Duggar moms and the moms to be. God Bless.
ReplyDeleteJoan,Marion and Marilyn
Time 6:55PM Sun 5/13/18
ReplyDeleteHappy Mother's day to all the moms. I seen these photos before the one with Jill Anna & Jessa all together showing there Babu bumps. So can't wait for Jinger & Jeremy's baby. Can't wait for K & J S baby boy to be born.
Neddy, thank you! Hope you're doing well. Sending love from Los Angeles. oxoxo
Deletetime 12:38PM Yes Iam doing well I did a speech for Dreamstreet Gala. Dreamstreet is a acting workshop for special needs grown ups like me. I did a great speech on Wed 5/16 in the city.
DeleteI guess if you're not in the club, you don't get to smile and pose for group pictures. Wonder how this makes the other sisters feel?
ReplyDeleteI think Jana is probably feeling pretty left out. The "little Duggar" sisters are too young to care.
DeleteOH my gosh, these were pictures taken specifically to show how far they were in their pregnancies, they have other pictures with all the girls in them.
DeleteThey feel pressure to get married an have a baby as soon as possible.
DeleteDespite her lovely smile Jana always seems rather sad. I think it's because of her inability to secure a husband and join the "baby bump" club.
DeleteJana has the ability to secure a husband; there have been interested suitors. She just doesn't want one at the moment.
DeleteWhat is the best way to secure a husband? With rope, or with tape? I've always wondered.
DeleteHA!! @12:33
DeleteI must be missing something but I find these group photos comparing baby bumps (complete with back arching and tummy holding) a bit strange.
ReplyDeleteI don't. It's fun to share pregnancies with a sister or sister-in-law, and it's fun to have pictures to look back and remember.
DeleteIt is not modest.
Delete2:34, do you think women shouldn't have pictures taken while they're pregnant?
Delete2:34, how. How isn’t it not modest?!
Delete11:09- I bet you don't share those photos with the world on social media, right? When it's between family members, that's a whole different thing.
DeleteNo, I don't share the photos with the whole world, but I'm not a TV show star, either. That makes a difference. Anyway, I think the three of them are cute, clearly excited about their unborn babies, and happy to be sharing the experience with their sisters/sisters-in-law. Still see nothing inappropriate whatsoever.
Delete12:42, you must not be on social media, because every woman I know posts pictures throughout their pregnancies, with cute signs saying how far along they are
DeleteYou know, it is possible to live your life and raise your children without posting pictures on social media. You can be social in person, through letters, or with phone calls. That's the way the world worked until now, and it worked really well. Nancy Hanks Lincoln's little boy grew up to be President without her posting pregnancy pictures or sharing his first pickle-tasting face.
Delete1:11- The family became TV stars for one reason only- their fertility, and these types of pregnancy photos are for publicity. I am not impressed when people exploit a woman's body for any reason.
DeleteThey didn't just become tv stars for their fertility - it was also because they were a refreshing, family-oriented show, a curiosity to some, an inspiration to others in how to have an organized, loving family.
Delete12:32, of course it's possible to live without social media. But that doesn't necessarily mean it's wrong to post pictures on social media. Nancy Hanks Lincoln also died from drinking tainted milk straight from the cow. That's the kind of thing that was possible in the world back then, and that didn't work out so well.
Delete12:32, why is it wrong to post pictures of yourself and your child on the internet, but it’s fine to have a tv show where everyone can see the exact same things? I sure hope you don’t watch their show, otherwise you’re contributing to something you don’t agree with.
Delete3:55- Had the Duggars not had such a large family, no TV network would have given them the time of day. It wouldn't have mattered how wholesome they were.
Delete5:16- There are many fans who have become disillusioned with the family since the early days, for many reasons.
Delete9:43 - They were put on tv because of the large family, but they offered something different to viewers in the matter of content, which is why they attracted so many fans.
DeleteI agree with Anon at 11:33. TLC actually had many special episodes featuring large families around the same time the Duggars came on the scene. If it was just about the numbers, and no one really cared about the family members themselves, then they wouldn't have gotten a long running show, and they certainly wouldn't have survived Josh-a-geddon Parts 1 and 2.
DeleteI think many people find shows like the Duggars and Bates refreshing, even if they don't agree with many of their beliefs, because they actually DO provide the kind of "family friendly" TV experience, that's pretty much gone extinct otherwise.
Unlike the 1980s or even 1990s when the "family hour" featured shows the whole family could watch, TV shows these days are either made for kids but are too immature, simple and boring for adults, or are shows made for adults but totally inappropriate for kids.
Kendra and Jinger especially look so pretty in these pictures.
ReplyDeleteYes. Class is always pretty.
DeleteI think Jessa looks great, she seemed to really enjoy her pregnancy with Spurgeon
Deletelove this - thank you
ReplyDeleteHey, if U ever needed a new name for a show, U could call it "12 BABY BUMPS, AND COUNTING", LOL!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI find a collage such as this distasteful. It's as though there's some kind of competition or race to have the most children or biggest baby.
ReplyDeleteThen don't read it that way. Read it in the way in which it was intended, a celebration of life and sisterhood.
DeleteNo it’s not
Delete1:12/3:12- People have every right to feel however they wish about something, without someone else telling them those feelings are invalid.
DeleteI agree, 8:16, but some people seem to look for the negative and assume the worst about people with no actual knowledge.
Delete8:16, people also have the right to post pictures of themselves without people criticizing them, but guess what? People will always criticize, and then there will be responses to their criticism. Don’t dish it if you can’t take it.
DeleteThey are not eathing right. That's why the baby's are so big.
ReplyDeletePossible, but not necessarily true.
DeleteThe baby's what?
DeleteI'm not sure why their babies are all so large. None of them are very big women so there may be some other thing going on. They all seem to have difficult deliveries due to the size of the babies though.
Deleteis it just me or in the first pic of Jill, Anna, and Jessa..... Jessa looks JUST LIKE Amy Duggar King in that pic. I can't believe how much. WOW!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove all these Godly girls!
Lol, people said that the first time the picture as posted too!
